Last 10 posts must be of the last week ... Dev account must have been online the last week ... The coin must be listed on one of the major exchanges (Yobit, Bittrex, C-CEX) Or the coin is not older than 2 weeks ... The coin must have a valid link to the GitHub source on the OP Can't say much about this. When I was writing my list (9th of April), the OP of this thread by Vegasguy contained only these rules: have no block explorer in their ann. The coin MUST be live and active. NO DEAD COINS As we see, these rules differ a lot. I'd like to hear Vegasguy's statement on this, I think he should resolve our little problem Ok, most submissions do not qualify I disagree, some coins you marked as dead ARE alive OR new. ASIC - No Github There's a GitHub posted by dev somewhere in the thread, https://github.com/LiveChains/asiccoinBEE2, Source does not compile Probably solution? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=601247.msg10551779BGR, Dead coin Dev posts every 2~3 weeks and not running away. BRG, BTB, Dead coin Agree BTX, Dead coin / almost no activity Thread seems to be pretty active, dev last activity was on 4th of April. DFT, Dead coin / almost no activity Dev was missing, but he delivered an update this week. If the coin isn't popular it doesn't mean it's dead. Developer is active since beginning of 2016. DUB, Does not sync, no nodes available Actually not sure about this one. New thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1270499.0It should contain some nodes, but placebo is involved in this coin, I don't trust this man. DUST, Dead coin / almost no activity Agree EXC, Dead coin / almost no activity Two pools opened recently. Dev is still active. GENI, GBIT, Dead coin / almost no activity Agree GEO, Dead coin / almost no activity BitcoinDad was promoting this coin on Twitter, and you call it dead? It is not. A HUGE community is (or was, lol) behind this coin. GPL, Dead coin / almost no activity It is a new coin, Dev is active and delivers. If the coin isn't popular it doesn't mean it's dead. GRF, Dead coin / almost no activity Hard to tell about this one. Dev is gone for real, but people still reply in the thread. JPC, Dead coin / almost no activity Wallet have issues with performance and optimization. Coin is not so popular, but dev was online today. KTK, Dead coin / almost no activity Agree LRD, Dead coin / almost no activity Hard to tell, this coin is not popular or well-known, but dev is still active. MAC, Dead coin / almost no activity 27 pages since launch (January of this year). Not bad. Dev is very active, not dead neither non-active. MEOW, Dead coin / almost no activity Partially agree, but some pools have this coin up and running. MOON, Dev did a runner (last active July 19, 2014, 10:48:33 PM) New volounteer account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=512130This user is still active. Thread is active. NKT, Nakas (ex NakamotoDark), Dead coin / almost no activity New dev: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=393165The coin is not so popular, but Metakid still posts. Sometimes. NXTTY, Dead coin / almost no activity Dev posts almost every weelk. Nuff said. PENG, PSC, PTC, Crap coin / almost no activity Partially agree (PENG, PTC), but looks like PSC stuck on ICO right now. ROXO, Crap coin / almost no activity "Crap coin" is a 10/10 reason to skip this coin. This coin launched a week ago, dev is active. Not so popular, but dev posts every day. QB, QSLV, SPA, SYNC, TAK, Dead coin / almost no activity Partially agree (QB), on the 67th page of QB thread Dev asked for nodes. Also I am surprised that Dev is still online. SYNC's Dev is a Legendary member, was online last week. However I did not see he reply on SYNC thread. QSLV, SPA and TAK are dead, yeah. XCH, Dead coin / almost no activity Some person with the nickname almost the same as mine (LOL) claims he knows the dev, probably delivered proof. They have some plans, so this coins is half-dead half-alive, but I'd say more alive than dead. XEMP, Dead coin / exchange is for sale Fully agree, forgot to remove it from my list when put this coin by accident. Thanks for your reply. All of the above submissions do not meet the new rules. I know that those were not the rules when you were writing your list. As of now those are the new rules: - Last 10 posts must be of the last week - Dev account must have been online the last week - The coin must be listed on one of the major exchanges (Yobit, Bittrex, C-CEX) Or the coin is not older than 2 weeks - The coin must have a valid link to the GitHub source on the OP

Kees,
Is it possible to run a Masternode as a daemon on linux?
Do I follow the instructions on a machine with the Qt wallet to create the Masternode, then move the wallet.dat to the headless server?
Anyone running a Masternode on linux?
Question was already answered by PM

Nice beefy machine you got there. I use a i7 960 with 32GB of DDR3 for a staking server and it has 29 wallets staking and 5 master nodes using about 50~60% CPU usage
TimC, your numbers I believe. Vegas, it doesn't matter how many CPU's, and how fast your hard drives are... You are running windows. How are you going to automate the monitoring and maintain security of 150 wallets without putting someone in front of the console clicking a mouse all day? I hope you prove me wrong, but 30 yrs of programming experience predicts a very different result. Wish you all the best! Seriously! We have automated the security and monitoring of all wallets. No one is going to click the mouse all day. We have custom software that does all that.

Haven't been following thread for about a month. So is it confirmed that BigVern stole funds on purpose? Did anyone that worked for Cryptsy said something or they are hiding like little bugs?
Nobody knows who has the money. For all we know Paul Vernon and Jim Shockney have the money or it could really have been stolen. Like I've said before, even if the money was stolen, Cryptsy lied to us and used our deposits to pay out withdrawals for other customers. They are criminals either way. And purchased two expensive cars and an ~U$1.3M home during the timeframe when Paul Vernon said that Cryptsy had to tighten its purse strings to get through tough times caused by the event which Paul didn't have a fuckin' clue as to what agency to report the crime to while assuring currently and future users at the time that Cryptsy complies with ALL FinCen regs going over and beyond the call of duty. Back in July 2014, nobody was the wiser when Cryptsy's mega wallets were first uncovered, believing the funds were in safe storage. What's now been determined is that Paul Vernon sought and found a way to eventually make them bitcoins his own, namely using the rogue FBI agents et al. his narrative. Too bad for Paul Vernon - lucky for us - that the 3-LAs are onto his scheme, with now Paul and his close compadres fearing how long they're going be free. Jim Shockney may feel smug when referring to me as a NUTTER, but at least I'll be a free nutter. HAHAHADo you really think that someone (like Paul Vernon) would waste his sucessful business by stealing? People who say that should really think again. If he wants to cash he could sell his multi million dollar exchange, right?

LOL ,
ya tired of being in the Censored forum. Ya know , all of da Fly Guys must be broke, cause ya whine about money in 1 out of every 5 posts. Let me ask ya, why ya such a lousy coder that Vegasguy keeps hiring more programmers? Dis is from another coin ya started 1 Active network connection, too slow... AMS is Developed and Owned by Keesdewit But where is KEES now? He didn't update the nodes.
Please update nodes for AMS.
Thank you.
Just Sayin, AG18 So there is another broken coin with near identical code? Broken? Identical code? Did you even look at the code? Nothing broken, runs just fine on Yobit, Bittrex, C-CEX. 44 connections on the server daemon: http://www.amsterdamblockchain.info/

Just Sayin, AG18 Go back filling shelves or flipping burgers. Seen your language usage you belong to the low class society. We need new coders because we are doing so well. When business grows you need more employees. Good luck flipping burgers again tomorrow. At least you found a place where you feel appreciated. About AMS, yes I own a successful coin thats listed on major exchanges. Wish you could say the same, don't you? I'll bet you can't even write a single line of code yourself.

I actually agree with you Mark. I think you could have posted a little kinder. But anyway. There are MAJOR changes coming to FLY, so many that we dont even have the dev power to code them fast enough.
Here is what we have been working on.
We have been developing a website that will be an all around site for crypto. It has many features, but its main source of income will be to sell CURRENT, and up to the minute wallet bootstraps, AND subscriptions to email users when a wallet of their choice gets updated. Pricing will be attractive and the site will only accept FLY.
Mark I really thought you were a FLY supporter, but now I am beginning to wonder. You said "Time to come up with a real plan". Within 5 minutes , I handed it to you on a silver platter. But then you compared us to some half baked free website. So Im not sure what else you want. Anyway. First NONE of their bootstraps are up to date. ALL of ours are updated to the last block. Also , they wont have over 1400 wallets, we will. Also they dont offer a service that emails the user the second a new wallet is released (Only wallets they choose). So, they are not the same. Like you said "not even close". We will be hiring the fly users to find the latest wallets and will be paying them per wallet submission. The customers of the site, will then be emailed once that wallet is verified. We have studied the users balances and as fly is much cheaper , we are requiring a user to hold 400 FLY to be paid for wallet submissions. So users that hold this many FLY can earn as many fly in a day as they want.
Vegas
Translation: Mark , ya are dis close da being put on da banned list!!!Hope everyone get the point here:
EVERY NEW WALLET will be paid with FLY! Working for free is poison for cryptocurrency! The reason, why so much failed and a lot of good ideas never finished! Working for free ends up always in scams and fails! So we do it right, to pay for every new wallet! The whole world is welcome, to earn for their work.
Translation: All of You will Pay US and Make US RICH , cause WE SAY SO!!!Tune in same Fly Time Next Week, when VegasGuy explains why he has the Right to the Practice of jus primae noctis !!!! Translated jus primae noctis means : noblemen and upper class men supposedly had the right to take the virginity of peasant women. Just Sayin, AG18 Translation: I don't make a penny with crying, so I'm pretty jealous.

This really proves your ignorance. Its practical impossible to have the private key of the burn address.
Ignorance? It's possible to generate new addresses through a script. Nobody knows how vegasguy calculated the burn address. If the address would have been generated through a third party I would stay totally silent. But that didn't happen. We cannot verify the origin. So yes, basically it is possible to generate such an address. It requires a lot of luck and a bit of time. He had more than a year for searching. Maybe this was the whole plan from the beginning. We cannot verify or delibitate it. Nor can vegas. It's only practical impossible if he didn't have the key beforehand. But we cannot verify that. Nor can you or vegas. Yes ignorance. It would take 3.064102e+023 year to generate 50% probability with 18.02 MKey/s (Example) [18.02 Mkey/s][total 73400320][Prob 0.0%][50% in 3.064102e+023y] Even if you take all the computer power in the world it would take more time than all time passed since the beginning of time. As comparison: Sha256 has 2^256 combinations, earth has about 10^50 = 2^166 atoms. Sha256 has more combinations than there are atoms on earth. You can calculate the probability yourself (Square approximation): If we had that much hashing power, won't you think we point it at this burn address (2,130.84912097 Burned BTC)? https://blockchain.info/address/1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVrYou didn't understand what I was trying to say. I totally agree with you with your post. Your example: [existing burn-address] -> someone tries to get to an private key with stupid try-and-error hashing. I totally agree with you, we can consider that as impossible. My example: Someone uses the algorithm to create millions of addresses. In this example that would be vegas. He hashes until he has created an Address with the pattern "XDEBURNXDEBURN". This too, is very unlikely to get, but this is not impossible and much more likely than your example. As I already tried to say: nobody can guarantee, the address wasn't generated that way. The only thing we can do now is wait and from time to time have a look on the burn-address. I hope you understand what I was trying to say. Sorry for confusion. There is only one thing left that I want to make you aware of. Your idea is to create addresses with the pattern "XDEBURNXDEBURN". The burn address that was used is "XDEBURNXDEBURNXDEBURNXDEBURNXJ3L6a". Now compare the difference: XDEBURNXDEBURN XDEBURNXDEBURNXDEBURNXDEBURNXJ3L6a You see that the used burn address contains much more predictable characters than your example. Thats exactly what makes it impossible to generate this address with the private key if you keep my previous explanation in mind. Now back to the maths: ~85% (29 out of 34 characters) of the burn address are predictable. Given my previous comparison it would still take 85% of 3.064102e+023 years to generate 50% probability with 18.02 MKey/s to generate only 1 address that contains 85% predictable characters. No matter what characters you use in the predictable part.

-snip- ---
But all-in-all: THIS IS A GOOD DAY FOR XDE. The one and only true Double Eagle coin. 1 XDE before the swap was 0.95% of the total coin amount. As we can now consider those burned 35.28 coins as gone forever, there are now only 70.16 XDE coins remaining in circulation. This means, 1 XDE has now a weight of 1,43% of the total amount. That is awesome and will make XDE rarer than ever.
Thanks for a nice summary and a clear picture of the 'takeover'. I think this is the best comment to the whole story. There is one more thing however that I want to add. I don't believe that the swapped XDE coins are gone forever. I would expect the history to repeat as with FLY project, meaning that the burned coins will be dumped on the market someday. As long as there is a precedence and the dev team is in full control of the XDE burning address (burning was not outsourced to any neutral third party), that is the most likely outcome of what may happen. I don't care about XDEII 'project', people who decided to follow it know what they are doing, but this may again influence negatively XDE. yes, that is true. I will keep an eye on the XDE-burn address. It could be possible that the privkey to the burn-address does not exist. It could also be the other way round. We cannot prove it, until they try to dump the coins. This really proves your ignorance. Its practical impossible to have the private key of the burn address.

Hmmmm... maybe I don't understand how staking works; i'm still not staking, wallet says because I don't have mature coins.......
but i had coins as of 12:10 our time yesterday, and the minimun stake time is 24 hours, right? So, even if i don't receive coins yet, shouldn't this message at least not be there, and the wallet should be staking?
I know i'm not losing out on anything, as it will be a very minimal stake, but just concerned things are working the way they should....
I think its because you have a little amount of coins (correct me if I am wrong) With little amounts it takes more time to gain enough weight to start staking.
