601  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $700 again on: March 31, 2016, 10:38:23 PM
$700 can be easily reached by facilitating a big pump but that's not the issue. The real question is when we will have a stable $700 floor that won't fluctuate again up and down by $25 every few minutes  Wink If we get that stable $700 price by the end of this year it would be great and we could be looking forward to breaking the $1000 barrier in 2017.
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Financial Times: Satoshi = Craig Steven Wright reveal coming 7-14 April 2016 on: March 31, 2016, 10:24:25 PM
What will happen if he fails to prove he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto? Can he be held responsible for misinformation and spreading lies in the Bitcoin community? I think his reputation will be finished if his claims don't turn out to be true. So many people want to be celebrities by claiming to be Satoshi it's so funny.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopoulos Asks For Help And Offers a Bitcoin Reward on: March 31, 2016, 11:40:02 AM
How is it possible to trademark a common phrase that even a child could think up like it's not rocket science or anything. People these days are so spoilt. Well at least the lawyers must be making a killing with all the stupid lawsuits flowing around nowadays. I doubt he will pay out 1 btc bounty though.
604  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you hate about Bitcoin ? on: March 31, 2016, 11:32:28 AM
I don't like that Bitcoin is being used for scamming purposes. Also I don't like the volatile nature of Bitcoin but this is to be expected because the speculators are all over it like bees to a honeypot Grin I think these 2 are the primary issues for me. At least if the number of scammers goes down it would be great.

606  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin rise up to 800$ this year ? on: March 31, 2016, 04:50:36 AM
If we assume the current value of around $400 is a stable threshold for Bitcoin and we factor in the decreased reward after the Halving then the value should in theory double up till the end of the year. In practice this may not happen right away but the trend should be gradually increasing the price until it reaches a level that offsets the increasing electricity costs and reduced block reward. Actually I need to talk to some fortune teller to know what will happen though  Cheesy
607  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ''Half of Bitcoin'' on: March 31, 2016, 04:42:37 AM
Yeah the Halving is like a break it or make it event that will affect so many Bitcoin enthusiasts and some of them will have a really bad time when their unrealistic expectations come crashing down when the price doesn't instantly shoot up into Space Wink
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Anonymous Really Steal ISIS Bitcoins in #OpBrussels? on: March 31, 2016, 04:31:23 AM
Is it really that easy to hack into Twitter accounts or Anonymous contacted Twitter officials and they closed down the accounts? Also how can they be sure that integrated Muslims living in Europe can't be radicalized at any given moment? I think some of the terrorists have been living in Europe for years. Well at least vigilant hackers want to help the cause of stopping terrorism which is a good thing.
609  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin = $1,000,000 on: March 31, 2016, 04:13:15 AM
Mate I would very much like that but this is just wishful thinking. I would even be happy with Bitcoin valued at $10 000 in 20 years. However I would prefer to have a house at this very moment rather than hold speculative store of value and hope for its price to rise to the Moon.
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why most of btc users are russians? on: March 30, 2016, 05:10:28 PM
I don't think it's fair to put all people from Russia under the common denominator of being online thieves and scammers just because there are some bad apples among them. If you are having problems with the security of your accounts then take the necessary measures to keep them safe.
611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to give away Bitcoin at a public event? on: March 30, 2016, 04:35:12 PM
You could give out the QR codes of the private keys printed out on business cards individually to every participant and tell them to load the wallet at home via the wallet they choose to use. At the event you could run a PowerPoint presentation or a video explaining how to do Bitcoin transactions and you could demonstrate the process to some volunteers.
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could consume as much electricity as Denmark by 2020 on: March 30, 2016, 02:44:45 PM
I have never thought about how Bitcoin mining is affecting our environment. With the increasing difficulty comes the need for a lot more calculating power and thus increased electricity consumption. I hope researchers will find a better way to power mining equipment that is more efficient and doesn't affect the global warming situation.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Walt Disney Private Blockchain on: March 30, 2016, 01:59:05 PM
Apparently they are building Disney Private Blockchain  which will take care of the security of Walt Disney's business segment customers. I don't have the slightest idea how this will function but it's always great when big companies adopt the Blockchain technology. Another interesting fact is that this is an intern position for a Computer Engineer or an  Electrical Engineer.
614  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How do Online Wallets Survive ?? on: March 30, 2016, 01:50:00 PM
@Neurotic Fish But Bit-X is an exchange right? Their Bitcoin capital is constantly in circulation between the users as they are trading on the platform so it's normal for them to assign coins to you which weren't deposited by you initially when you are trying to withdraw later. While on simple Bitcoin wallets this shouldn't be happening theoretically because your funds aren't being used for investments behind the scenes like banks do. I may be incorrect in my reasoning though.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft will continue to support bitcoin on: March 30, 2016, 06:03:30 AM
Actually Apple are trying to control everything in their operating system a lot more than Windows and you have to provide a lot of personal information to even have access to the Apple store and download free apps. I would trust Microsoft implementing Bitcoin into their infrastructure more than Apple because Apple are famous for selling overpriced products for exorbitant amounts of money  Wink How can you be sure they won't try to monetize Bitcoin too in a way to rip off their customers?
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: March 30, 2016, 01:01:55 AM
Bayern Munich are a powerhouse when they have a good day on the field. Lewandowski is probably the best striker in Europe right now. Juventus aren't a bad team either and going from 2 goals down to winning the match just shows how motivated they are. Plus it's Pep's last season so why not end it with a bang by winning the CL trophy?
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice vs Slots on: March 30, 2016, 12:51:33 AM
When I want to have some quick fun I prefer to play slot games because I am a sucker for flashy graphics even though I know I will never win one of those huge jackpots  Cheesy Dice gets too boring for me after a couple of spins. And the slot rewards are just so much more compelling in my opinion.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft Office365 Bitcoin Currency Format Support on: March 29, 2016, 11:38:33 PM
Well it's about time for Microsoft to update their Office suite with the Bitcoin Currency Format. I wonder if other free office solutions like OpenOffice and LibreOffice will update their software accordingly because not everyone has the money to buy Office365.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest me Safest bitcoin wallet on: March 29, 2016, 11:30:31 PM
Blockchain wallet is not the best by any stretch of the imagination. In fact they have had networking issues for a while where people couldn't move their funds for extended periods of time and believe me it was really infuriating when you had the chance to buy some discounted thing online but you couldn't send coins because Blockchain was performing maintenance  Grin It was my first ever Bitcoin wallet though I must confess.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enormous ways to earning Bitcoin on: March 29, 2016, 11:20:01 PM
Another way of earning a passive income of Bitcoins is to develop websites and rank them high on Google using SEO and SEM so that you get a steady traffic each month and earn from the ad revenue. In this way you can work your full-time job while getting a side income and efficiently maximizing your earning potential.
