Yes, my opinion too. I agree with your opinion on this topic! Keep on developing new features, that's not a big deal now for me! Awesome then it makes life a lot easier for us. However, any comment on using an installer? We know some people will have reservations and we're just getting a feel for everything any good mac miner for this?
Personally, not that I know of besides the built in CPU miner which is no longer very viable. |

Yes, my opinion too. Okay then you'll like the new update as it gives you the option on whether or not to use the auto-updater. Final question for you folks is this then: does anyone mind having to install the client through an installer to use all of the features? again the standalone version (non-installed/portable/whatever you want to call it) will be missing these features for a little while as dynamically supporting them wasn't something we were immediately focused on) Espersd stop; git pull; make; espersd -daemon

well you see, with the latest installation you will have a choice to turn off the auto-updating or keep it on (set to on by default). The standalone client is more of a classic or full manual client that has not yet been configured for the new features or in reverse, the new features configured to run dynamically through a standalone client. Hence the installer will still be a required thing for the next couple of updates. |

I don't mind an auto-updater, but I personally prefer the portable zipped file. I like doing things manually.
Well ofcourse there will still be a standalone client. It won't have the new features available right away but will over time. I'll have to redo some of the feature implementation to not care about directories in the next update after this one so that the standalone one can boast the new features as well, currently 805 will simply disable them if it notices you're not running the installed version. (Sadly I can't make everything happen all at once) im have no problem with a reinstall

We ask this as the latter would make for a faster release, but old clients would no longer receive updates, which defeats the purpose regardless of their version.
Just let us know. This is a big jump in functionality so we wanted to feel the community out on this one.
I suggest not to waste your time on the Auto update, troubleshoot it etc...  let us do some work  Cheers and vote number 2... Well I'm leaning towards just requesting users to re-install, after this the updater will be able to patch any portion of itself even if future updates change things around further. We made sure to make it so that we don't have to repeat this kind of a situation again. |

We will re-commit our compiling sgminer, don't know what we missed during the initial one but we strive for 100% functionality and take nothing less.
I think you never compiled sgminer for linux  Nope we did not yet. Reason being is we were after Windows users as they make up a lot of the userbase for any IT/IS realm. Sorry it wasn't intentional and we aren't singling you out, now that you've raised this issue we will address it. Do not worry. |

Good morning from California, back up after 6 hours. Continuing on development, this update will be released. Have the next 24 hours to work on this although it should NOT take that long. I personally will be updating you folks every 30ming to an hour depending on progression rate until this update is launched.
For now you should be mining ethereum, selling it and buying espers. Doing it that way would probably net you more ESP than mining it directly.
If only I could  My 750 is 1GB so it can't mine eth I also have a 980 on my gaming rig which would work but windows 10 messes eth mining up bad. I only get about 20-25% normal mining performance You could always try a pool? who here is going to play pokemon sun/moon ? espers whales holding gentlemans bets on pokemon battles sounds like something i want to be a part of if it becomes at all possible

Please advise as to what is happening. instead of pestering devs all day for updates, go out and show a non-crypto person how to mine espers, add espers to your project or app. if you want espers to really grow in value your time is better spent like that.

Truly you are correct, the project can only go so far with just crypto people (not saying anything about you folks, just stating that expanding to the every day person is ultimately the end goal as well). Anyone notice that they mined a lot more esper blocks today? It just seems unusually high for what I've been mining on my hardware.
I usually get 1 or 2 blocks a day today I have 6.
Perhaps difficulty has gone down. It fluctuates as there are more or less miner hash power going on and off the network. We've also noticed that the diff fluctuates quite a lot. Quick update of remaining tasks
- Some menu polishing (noticed a few glitches of commands not being caught correctly, minor stuff)
- Finishing standalone client limits and user prompts (informing the user of standalone mode)
- Cleaning up of functions (initial implementation was kind of crude and can be refined more)
- remove splash for manual in-client update check call (small portions of the auto updater should react differently when called from within the client)
- seamless upgrade process for all currently installed clients (users already using the initial release of the auto updater)
- web installer
- new offline installer (repackaged installer that was previously used for original release)
- mining page tweaks and optimizations
- selectable GPU settings for sgminer (exact configs, we will scavenge the the thread for posts relating to this)
- MORE TESTING
Really it's not too far off, however it's 2am here, and before I make any more dumb errors I'm going to catch ~4 hours of sleep and come back to this.

The list of features is certainly impressive but do you have an estimate of the time it will take to hit 0.9? Also what is site-on-blockchain? Any news on the nvidia miner by whoever is looking into it? My 750 needs something to do when I'm not around  - To be safe... 1st Quarter 2017 (would rather be way under that timeline than over commit) Site-On-Block chain - pretty much websites hosted on the blockchain, no need to go to the world wide web, just pull down a block and load a site that is saved on it. NVIDIA miner - should be coming out in a couple weeks if things go well, as I'm not the one coding it I cannot yet give a solid timeframe but I'll double check with Pallas and Wolf0. |

Please check OP, there will be a Total of five hundred BILLION ESP in all after mining has already been exhausted. that is too much if its reduced esp could be popular 10000:1 Already is popular mang, have you seen the thread? Honestly once the features are released that actually require ESP as "fuel" to run them then this will all start making a lot more sense. Hang around, It'll all become clear over time. 500 billion isn't that many espers there are like 7 billion people in the world  you don't want people to only be able to afford one token they spend ~oshis of from time to time do you? there are trillions of US dollars alone so................... Very much agreed with the logic of that statement, you pretty much get exactly what we're after here. Though we aren't interested in the US dollar structure lol as any kind of reference. @Everyone - The update is coming along. it was an awesome project and the dev was very active it is just natural to support a project knowing what are the future plans we just have to believe that the real purpose of this is to help each other from dev to community and traders. good luck crypto and the team dev.
