601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the second Satoshi appears? on: November 04, 2023, 07:05:08 PM
Right. Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin. He's a genius. Bitcoin systems and communities are working perfectly, and everyone is crazy about Bitcoin. But what happens if someone creates a blockchain that is faster and better than Bitcoin and puts it out into the world without any greed, as Satoshi did? Are people going to ditch Bitcoin away? In that moment, we're going to see a blockchain that's performing better than Bitcoin and is perfect for decentralization that everyone emphasizes. What will happen?

How about the altcoins that are created and some of them are really fast and have cheaper transaction fees but they are unable to replace bitcoin. Some altcoins may call themselves bitcoin killers, but they could not overtake the marketcap of bitcoin.

I don't think anyone can develop a better blockchain than Bitcoin. Bitcoin has proved over the period of a decade that it is a foolproof blockchain and no other can match.

By the way, one thing to note is that the founder of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto does not exist, and therefore there can be no change in code, in supply etc. I hope you can understand the transparency here as there is no owner who can dump the majority of the holdings (as it happens with most altcoins).
602  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Csgo500 SCAM 77.500$ on: November 04, 2023, 05:43:32 PM
Hello, I decided to play on csgo500. I topped up $25,000 and bet on x3. I managed to win, I was lucky. When I started withdrawing money, I encountered a problem and was asked to go through verification.

Did you not do a KYC before and was it after you won a big amount, the site asked for the KYC ?
By the way, topping up $25000 was itself a quite lot of money and you should not have deposited this much money on any random site.
I am not sure yet if Csgo500 is a legit site or not as I am hearing about this site for the first time.

I only had 2 accounts (dmitriykartashov308) and the one on which I won. These are not new accounts; Quite a lot of money was lost there. The admins should have known that I had a second account. In all this time I have not received a single bonus from the casino and have not tried to bypass the withdrawal limits. I suggested re-passing KYC

https://ibb.co/GkshQjK%0Ahttps://ibb.co/PtSkjSq%0Ahttps://ibb.co/Vp6WH1Z

Did the site Csgo500 allow creation of more than one accounts. Most sites won't allow you to have more than one account, and this can be an easy excuse for them to block your accounts and do not let you withdrawal. Remember, you said lot of money was lost there, and the site have no probelm even if you have 100s of accounts. The probelm only occurs when you win any amount, as you have won now.
I hope you understand how all this gambling system works for untrusted sites.
You can bypass every rules as long as you're losing. Once you win, oh you are not allowed to have 2 accounts. Sorry. Thats the stance of these sites.
603  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is This sites Legit?? on: November 03, 2023, 08:18:02 PM
My friend suggested me one site some days ago. It is investment site and minimum purchase is 100$. You have to purchase shop and then you will receive offer with high price of 110$ or 120$ and then buy another shop and sell high.

Really i didn't know that buying and selling shops are so easy that you will always get the customers who will be willing to pay you a higher price than your buying price. I smell a lot of fishy things here.

I think this is some form of pyramid scheme but since most people avoid the pyramid schemes as they are known to be scams, the owners of this website have given a new name to this scheme and that is selling websites.

I would suggest you to stay away from this scam. And for your friend, if he has already bought a shop (plan of 100$), he is looking for you or anyone else who can become his downline and buy the shop from him with a 10 or 20$ margin.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: November 03, 2023, 07:39:24 PM
First, I will stop gambling. Second, I will invest on Bitcoin, silver and gold coins and real estate. Third, build my dream house, buy a car, and my hobbies like guns. I prioritize needs before buying my wants. I also want to include my family, relatives and friends in my success.

Agree with your first few points but your last wish to include your friends, family and relatives in your success meaning that you will be distributing your winnings among them too seems to be a bit too generous and i don't think you should do it. Yeah, if someone is really poor and needs urgent money, you may give him as a loan but giving away free money may have many bad effects in the long run. One of the disadvantages of giving free money is that the receiver sometimes thinks that you should keep giving him all the time and develop unrealistic expectations from us.

Also, if next time you do not give any money to him, he may become angry with you and it may go as wrong as having a bad relationship with that person whom you have helped once. Shocked
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 03, 2023, 07:42:41 AM
First, I need your suggestions about the best games, slots. Live casino for a beginner.
Do you think Me starting gambling would effect me in my real life or make me addicted to gambling. What’s you suggestion and advices.
Please click on the signature space below and check out the Bitvest platform. I hope you will enjoy using Bitvest.

Starting to gamble can have a significant impact on your life, and while it can have some positive effects, the majority of the consequences tend to be negative. So before you start think carefully.

Well, that a double-minded statement that gambling can have some positive effects but mostly it has negative effects. I will not necessarily agree with this statement. If gambling was so negative, why there are so many gambling platforms around us and why people are gambling and this number increasing over time ?

If gambling was something not good, people would have left it but the fact is that gamblers keep gambling and never quit. This means that gambling can be profitable but only if you know how to make it profitable.

The best and only advice from me to the new gamblers is to start slowly with low portfolio. Do not risk high money in single games and the rest of the golden rules and tips n tricks you will learn yourself over time as you gamble along.
606  Other / Meta / Re: Request: New Local Board for Pakistan (Urdu) on: November 02, 2023, 09:54:36 PM
I hope we can get the local board as we bacame a big community now and posts in a single thread have been increeased immmensely. Our thread reached 800 plus pages now, and if compared with other loacl baord, most of the time our posts are more than theirs. Sometimes it is harder for us to make diffeerent kind of posts in a single thread, It wont make sense when in a day we make more than 40 posts, harder to go back and reach them all to find the relavent info.

I understand how hard it would be to keep up with the discussion in a local thread where everyone is talking about anything in the same thread. Even we get lost sometimes in the discussion threads, but at least that is limited to the discussion on the same topic. Local thread is a one-stop discussion for all the local topics and as the active members grow in the local thread, you will lose the charm to post in local threads.
A lot of positive discussions and useful information may become overlooked due to the congestion of mixed posting. I think all the active local threads should be given the opportunity to convert them into local boards. I don't see a reason of not doing so  Roll Eyes
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: November 02, 2023, 09:38:50 PM
It seems like it doesn't make sense that loneliness can lead to addiction and what I know is addiction because those who don't have good control when gambling and also addiction occurs because of the wrong mindset towards gambling or considering gambling as a way to increase money but end up continuing to pursue it.

Well, I knew that loneliness may lead to many health issues and a person may go into depression and a lot of other failures, but this is the first time i am hearing that loneliness is also a cause of gambling addiction. This may or may not be true but I never heard this before in the medical science.

Like the person you know, it doesn't seem like he's lonely but he has an addiction because he vents his emotions into gambling because he may have problems with his wife and in this case it often happens when he has a broken family that a man vents his emotions into gambling whereas gambling is not recommended when he is emotions because it has a very bad impact and if someone you know becomes addicted, it is his own fault for using gambling as an outlet for emotions, even though it is not clear what the problem is with his wife.

It is not necessary that a person is having issues with her wife and that leads to loneliness, it can be many other factors too. I think the bigger factor for the man's depression is having a lack of a good source of income. When a person is short in money, he would try to gain money from other shortcut methods and one of them may be to do excessive gambling with a mindset to become quickly rich with less time and effort.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No scam sportsbooks on: November 02, 2023, 06:42:31 PM
Frankly you are looking at the wide range of websites that are providing sport betting section. It’s up to you which one to choose in the first place. Most of the gambling sites now exclusive include sportsbook as their prime betting section. If you just checkout the gambling thread then you can end up reading entire range of authentic gambling sites with sportsbook available. Since gambling sites can be little worrisome to choose at the beginning it would be better if you dig in the oldest and popular ones around here. I would suggest to check these names for your references: Duelbits, Roobet, BC Game, and Stake. Out of curiosity you can also checkout freebitcoin Website who is also popular in hosting few selected games around sports catalogue.

I think that selecting a trusted sportsbook won't be a problem for the OP after reading so much advice. Also, if a person is active on the bitcointalk gambling section, he should never play on any unknown site other than the trusted sites being advertised here on this forum.

I would suggest him see the sites which you have mentioned, see if the sports he wants to bet are available on those sites, check the odds and the interface of the site and start sports betting on any one of them. He can even make an account on a few of those sites, test each one of them and then choose the one he feels most comfortable with.
609  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: November 01, 2023, 07:47:20 PM
hello, new user of the site.
i have attempted a large btc withdrawal using the instant option.
its been over 1 hour and still nothing onchain.

i assume there was not enough btc in hot wallet, and being an unusual large withdrawal this might of triggered a manual confirm from the team.
hopefully everything will go through.

please update instant withdrawal with maybe a limit? or put somewhere in the faq that certain times when not enough in the hot wallet, an instant withdrawal can take up to x amount of time.

am i correct in my assumption that this will hit onchain like a 6hour manual withdrawal?

thank you.

update, my withdrawal went through!
great to see this old site that has their original ethos and ethics.

You should trust Freebitco as they are running for long and there are not any withdrawal issues at the site. As with every other site, if you withdraw a large amount of money at once, the system may verify / check the transaction manually, rather than automatically and it may take a bit of extra time. This is for the security of our account.

Also "TheQuin" hinted this here
It would have been flagged for manual checking.
610  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: November 01, 2023, 07:23:37 PM
Jeez  Shocked
Another opportunity I greatly missed here, when did RLB grew this high? I was looking at this token some time last week and was in between buying a $100 worth or buying some other token which I believe to have better utility, I later decided to buy the other token which had better utility and still watch this for a while since I've not been following the tokens development and process.

There is no missed opportunity in crypto. There are coins which pumped even more than this and we never bought them. Nobody can be in every coin and avail every opportunity. Also, it's never too late to buy a coin which has a good use case but again we should not get into fomo and do not buy RLB at current high prices.

Secondly, it is not too late to buy any token unless you are sure that the current price is already at a pumped price that will make it impossible to achieve another lent of such a pumped price,  but if it is still at its basic price pick up level,  then you may still be at a gain position regardless what the current market cap is.

The price of RLB is near is at its all time high and therefore i would not recommend buying it now no matter how good the project is. I am sure, the price will retrace before moving another leg up. If anyone wants to invest in RLB, better watch out for some dump and buy at the nearest support. Also, keep an eye on Bitcoin as if Bitcoin retraced to 30K, we may see a 20-30% dump in the prices of altcoins including RLB.
611  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Dpex-exchange on: November 01, 2023, 06:57:32 PM
Neat, a russian site with a join us in an english forum.
At least bitcoin to bitcoin? Quiet senseless to go that way. At least warn us.

This seems to be an instant exchange where you can convert from Bitcoin to Tether or Bitcoin to Fiat (RUB) or vice versa. But it only supports the Russian currency Ruble.

I would usually not trust any random instant or P2P exchange unless there are some good positive reviews and the site is trusted one.

Just going randomly to the site, I didn't find the exchange rate to be of any value. Where for 1 bitcoin you will get less than 32000$ while the current bitcoin price is well over 34000$. Even if anyone wanted to use the site, the exchange rate isn't a realistic one.

612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about trading feature? on: October 30, 2023, 09:46:22 PM
It is still a luck-based game. You don't know were the price of a coin will move in the next second no matter how a good trader you are. This means that there is no advantage over the casino. It'd practically a fifty-fifty chance game.
Don't think much about it and just enjoy the game because the only way to manipulate the results is by having enough balance to manipulate the whole market. This is not possible for most gamblers especially when we talk about coins like bitcoin and the like which have a bog market cap.

Still, trading is not like gambling it has many differences. Gambling depends upon luck only and some forms of trading like future trading taking high leverage resemble with gambling.
I think that traders are much more disciplined, and they do a proper fundamental and technical analysis before taking a trade. Some forms of trading like Spot trading is risk free (if you can hold the coins for the long term) and techniques like DCA will make your risk of losing even less.
613  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: October 30, 2023, 02:51:52 AM
They made an update to June 3rd Event Statement the other say.
Still says  'not our fault, looking in to it'
https://atomicwallet.io/blog/articles/june-3rd-event-statement

I'm guessing that they hope it just quietly fades away and drops from peoples memories.

-Dave

And still no update. Really wonder if they are looking into it or hoping it goes away.
Since people are still using it and talking about using it and so on, I guess people don't care about their crypto.

If you want to use a wallet like this how about I just post a bunch of addresses that belong to me and I'll send you some crypto back later if I feel like it.
If not I'll just keep it. Seems to be the same service as Atomic.

-Dave

I really do not understand the affiliation of the people with atomic wallet who are still using it ? Or maybe they are not aware of this vulnerability in the atomic wallet  Huh

We are not short of Non-Custodial wallets in the market that we have no option but to use the Atomic wallet  Huh

The one who knows about the history of atomic wallet and still does not quit it, i am sorry that they have no idea how to protect their assets. They will only learn lessons once they themselves lose their money. Sad
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: October 29, 2023, 08:12:47 PM
Hearing out advises is never been bad on which it turns out that there are really people who cant really just that easily do follow on what they are really that hearing out but rather they would really be just that focusing into the things that they are really that having in mind and this is something that we could really be able to say that it isnt really that anytime they would really be hearing out
and follow on what others been saying and stick into their original plans until they would be able to experience for themselves on whats truly the risks of gambling.

Well there are people who won't listen to the advices and keep on doing what they think is best for them in their point of view.
But still, we should not stop giving them advices to be responsible gamblers, as we never know at what time even a dumb mind may accept our advice and stay safe.

Such topics like tips for gambling keep refreshing our minds because as a gambler we very quickly forget all the golden behaviors and rules and gambling and very easily become victims of our own emotions.

If you do really just that know on how to become responsible on simply just make use of your own common sense then you would really be able to avoid out such addiction
and unfortunate situations that you might be facing on when dealing with gambling. Your own will which would really be point out which you are doing something good or bad
on what you are dealing with.

If it was so easy to avoid gambling addiction by using our common sense, no one would have been addicted to gambling. The fact is that it is extremely difficult for a gambler to avoid the addiction unless he has some mentor who keeps telling him the do and don'ts of gambling and how to remain safe.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New way to keep your seed phrase secure. on: October 29, 2023, 05:38:50 PM
Idea:
Hello, I am sharing a new idea for keeping your crypto seed phrase safe. You can make your seed phrase more secure by translating it into different languages. For more security use a translator and translate in two or three languages and split them to different papers for more security.

I tried to find wallets which may allow multi language seed phrases but not found one, everything was for wallet software translated into different languages.

Question:
So my question is can we generate seed phrases in a different languages with wallet software? Is there any wallet with this feature?

As of now, I do not know any wallet that generates seed phrases in any other language, other than English. The only way to do this is to convert your seed phrases manually in your native language but there are many serious drawbacks to this and hence it is not a recommended idea.

Drawbacks of this Idea

1- If you online one tool to translate you are exposing your seed phrases to the internet and anyone looking at the logs, can easily identify that is the seed phrases that were sent for translation.

2- There may be many different words (synonyms) for a single word and therefore it will not be easy to translate the word back to the original English word making it harder to recover the seed for the owner himself.
616  Economy / Gambling / Re: Jonbet Double Game Seeding Event on: October 29, 2023, 05:19:06 PM
Welcome! In preparation for the upcoming launch of our original game Double, we're performing this seeding event to ensure fairness and immutable rolls. For this seeding event we are following a similar approach as Stake.com.

Are you in the launch of your game "Double" or your site?

I would appreciate if you could give more details about it, how we can participate in this game and when can we expect all the live gaming action ?

Will you be using the block hash for every seed creation? If that is so, then I am sure no one can doubt the fairness of the game.
617  Economy / Gambling / Re: Evolution — report for Q3 (HOW THEY EARN THAT MUCH?) on: October 29, 2023, 04:41:36 PM
By the way, i would like the source link for the report too in order to study in depth.

Well, if you can search the internet, you may get more details about it.

Evolution: Interim report January-September 2023

https://www.evolution.com/ has more than 1 million traffic and they are getting this much revenue. Just for a comparison many gambling sites has more than 1M traffic and you may understand how much revenue they would be making. Similarly, you can think how much other casinos with a lot of traffic may be earning.

I understand that evolution is the b2b online gaming solution and I am optimistic about the future of gambling plus gaming is very bright and lucrative.
618  Economy / Services / Re: Im trader been trading long time Im looking for partners on: October 29, 2023, 03:11:09 PM
i want to make money.

You are right, the business model that you presented will ONLY make you money, Do you know how ?

This is being done at all levels, in trading whatsapp groups, telegram groups, facebook groups etc. You get free money from the investors, and you trade on behalf of them. As long as you are profitable, you will get certain percentage from the profit and you will distribute the profit to the investors too according to their investments.

There will be a time when your trades may go wrong, at that time you will just say sorry to your investors as the trading capital liquidated and you always have the excuse that winning and losing is a part of trading.

You see, as long as trades are profitable, you are sharing the profits among youself and investors. As you lost the trades, only the investors suffer, you don't share the loses.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think if you have a lot of money its hard to satisfy your ego in gambling on: October 28, 2023, 01:33:14 PM
I do not gamble for ego and I have not figured out how gambling and ego can go together.  Are there people who just gamble to flaunt their wealth like some celebrities do? Well, when I get to the level of gambling what many target to win, I won't flaunt such wealth in social media because I treasure my privacy so much. It is actually very risky to flaunt wealth like that on social media.

Also, i do not understand what type of ego is that you started to high roll in order to satisfy yourself.  Betting and gambling with a large amount of money is not a status of an Ego but it shows that the gambler is immature and do not take into account the risk factor associated with high bets.

Being rich and being able to bet high roll, is not anything to be proud of. Yes, the thing that makes any gambler proud should be his winnings. If he is able to win big, this should not only satisfy his ego but it will be good for him and his near and dear ones. However, being profitable in gambling is something that rarely happens.
620  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: October 28, 2023, 10:43:26 AM
Same for me. I would expect a status update from Daniel for the investors

Well, the site https://www.bustabit.com/ is opening but the game is not loading and it is stuck on connecting.
I tried two different browsers but the result is the same.

It can be an issue at the backend but of course, we should wait for an official update from the OP.
