6041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Companies Who Reimburse Losses Stay Alive on: August 17, 2016, 06:39:47 AM
A recent blog post from Xapo called “What happens if Xapo gets hacked?” the company discusses the unfortunate Bitfinex heist that took place on August 2, 2016. Xapo says that if they were compromised the company would cover the losses from its own reserve. This is a glaring difference to the many exchanges that failed to reimburse their customers.

It will be interesting to see how Bitfinex fares after their losses as it was the biggest Bitcoin exchange heist since the demise of Mt Gox. It’s safe to say exchanges that don’t pay their customers back in full will discourage new users from entering the Bitcoin space.

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-reimburse-losses-stay-alive/

Yeah, right. And what happens when Xapo reserves get hacked? Grin

Maybe Xapo customers will reimburse Xapo for their lost reserves.

Just kidding. Grin
just like their statement, they'll pay and cover the losses by their own reserves,if their reserves get hacked,i guess they have other reserves in form of fiat and not bitcoin, just say they have a backup money,it's indeed a marketing language to attract other exchanger's customer to get into xapo service but if this statement really true, atleast not bullshit,it's good
6042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do bitcoin accepted in your country? on: August 17, 2016, 06:36:31 AM
Bitcoin is accepted in my country i have to be honest to say visa\mastercard are widely used than bitcoin in many countries include mine .
well credit card still dominate the entire digital transaction and IRL transaction until now and bitcoin is going to chase it,because honestly, bitcoin still not good or efficient enough to be payment option due to the blockchain system which require confirmation, even bitcoin debit card makes the visa and mastercard domination even more higher
6043  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Authorize log-in attempt - someone know my password? on: August 16, 2016, 03:30:47 PM
maybe you just getting trapped into a phising website, just for information that blockchain.info have so many clone website that had been created by hacker to steal your data,so beware, better to change your password right now,or atleast change your password periodically and be sure to not forget the pasword
6044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: August 16, 2016, 03:28:37 PM
I think the same.
Altcoin to me is just a way to multiply my bitcoins, sometimes all my bitcoins are invested in a few altcoins but in the end i sell all of them for more bitcoins.

I agree to this as no Altcoins can be compared to bitcoins.  None of the Altcoin is near in terms of volume or price to bitcoins. People buy altcoin just to get the profit and then sell them again for bitcoins.
until now it's definitely true, i haven't seen real efforts by those devs to make their altcoin to be a primary cryptocurrency and trying to be used anywhere instead of just making ICO,letting it get into the exchangers and then leave, such an irony even altcoins released every month
6045  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Free Bitcoin Debit Card on: August 16, 2016, 12:46:36 PM
Where can I get free virtual bitcoin debit card ?
can I transfer my bitcoin fund into PayPal after verifying bitcoin debit card with PayPal?
is there any transaction fee changed by free virtual bitcoin debit card issuer companies?

XAPO account you can link to your PayPal account, but they have some charges for a card to issue, it is around 20 USD. Also, they have some fees for each transaction if you withdraw from ATM but to through PayPal also they have some charges. You can get all those fee details on their site. I have linked a card to my PayPal account but so for didn't charge to it but I withdraw cash from ATM's few times, and it works very good.

Xapo get many problem reported. but i think i will try get them soon for test
so many xapo's problem is a minor problem which only occur to few person so you'll know how good is some bitcoin debit card provider's service by trying out one by one,i'm also now trying to do this and keep seeking for the best service, and not yet found which could make me pleased so far
6046  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin ATMs on: August 16, 2016, 12:33:15 PM
we have bitcoin atm in bali, the specific location in kuta, bali thanks for bitcoin indonesia for providing this useful atm for bitcoiners here
i'm really proud of this  Grin

Are you sure it's an ATM, because I think it's just a Bitcoin vending machine.  ATM is the machine that can sell and buy Bitcoin, while a vending machine is just a machine that can just sell Bitcoin.
well after some investigation i can say that it's considered as a vending mechine as it could only sell bitcoin and i just give the bitcoin vending machine 's company a question about it and they say the same thing,it's definitely a vending machine,it's for correction
6047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is virtual currency for criminal on: August 16, 2016, 12:28:42 PM
I was told a similar thing by Citrus cash wherein a user send me fraudulent funds and I complained about them and this fraudster to the police. They then said that bitcoin is a currency that's used for illegal purposes. I just did not waste my time replying to them as they support fraudulent transactions and criminals and then blame bitcoin users. It's not necessary everyone uses this virtual currency for illegal trades. I earn coins by selling my gift cards, recharges and signature campaigns which is legal and hence don't care what others say or feel.
sometimes these people just feel like they know about everything and don't want to learn about something furthermore and will result having limited knowledge and limited capacity of brain to think about things deeper, and that's how fool people was made
6048  Other / Off-topic / Re: China launches quantum satellite on: August 16, 2016, 12:25:20 PM

6049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transfer from international account to local bitcoin wallet. on: August 15, 2016, 01:15:58 PM
there's no "local" or "international" word for bitcoins because all address or wallet basically is the same, you can transfer everywhere as long the address is valid and so does with the wallet,so it's possible
about the fees you can set it up to yourself as long it meets the requirement (fee/kb) ,your transaction will be confirmed ASAP,but sometimes, exchangers gives you an additional fees, standard fee is about 0.0002 - 0.0001
6050  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: does is bloctrail online wallet or offline wallet? on: August 15, 2016, 11:48:15 AM
it's online because you need an internet access to visit blocktrail and all of the data is stored on their servers,if you wanna see some example of offline wallet : paper wallet, any desktop wallet, any hardware wallet such as trezor
6051  Economy / Services / Re: Logo Contest CLOSED] Payment .05 BTC [Winner Announced] on: August 15, 2016, 11:19:43 AM
well he deserve it,the design is quite simply and catching but will gives strong perspective about the service which going to be offered, congratulation man, such a great competition with you  Grin
6052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase has partnered with Paypal - Officially! on: August 15, 2016, 11:14:42 AM
I dont know till how safe is cashout your bitcoins from coinbase to paypal, as paypal can easy frozen the funds and start a war with costumers and coinbase, but i belive they are aproaching the crypto, they hired the ceo of xapo, soo something is coming to crypto world, atleast is expected.
if they'd already make a cooperation ,your funds will not going to be freeze,it's not breaking paypal's rules so it will went smooth
but i heard that paypal banning any transaction which have relation to any cryptocurrency so yeah,it's confuse me a bit
6053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is virtual currency for criminal on: August 15, 2016, 11:12:55 AM
Criminals use more dollars than bitcoins. The currency can't help being used by criminals.

How can you know that? if ever there was a survey that happened. Because I do not think anyone knows for sure criminals, more use dollars or bitcoin. But I think because the dollar is better known, the majority of criminal use this currency. IMO

But I agree if the currency can not be considered criminal. Because currency only objects used by criminals and money should not be blamed.
well it's easy to know, from when dollar was created compared to bitcoin, and if you look back, there's so many drugs lord before bitcoin was created,so they'll definitely using dollar to do an international transaction, that's enough to give you reference that dollar is even worse than bitcoin
6054  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Free Bitcoin Debit Card on: August 14, 2016, 10:50:29 AM

did you used the card personally to shop things or fill up your car's fuel in a gas station? I am really impressed with the free offer you mentioned about. but I want to know how much it is useful.

Soon i have uquid card plastic and i will give you answer. but as far as i understand . bitcoin debit card with our name appear on card will similar with bank debit card ( which they all from same issuer : VISA or MASTER CARD) . therefore, i do believe they will have no problem when you using in public.
as long the public atm or the merchant have a visa or mastercard logo,it'll be fine,i've using bitcoin debit card for a long time, already use it everywhere, only few merchant don't accept it,but the rest went smooth
6055  Economy / Speculation / Re: Kim Dotcom Predict 2000$ per Bitcoin ??!! on: August 12, 2016, 07:17:31 AM
This act from Kim Dotcom can be a good marketing for bitcoin as many people will be interested in bitcoin and probably will buy some bitcoins and considering this as an investment, I wish the bitcoin price to be increased after the megaupload launch but it is not clear enough how will it operate!

I'm starting to think that he don't know what he is doing anymore , I mean only few days ago , he tweeted and asking people to send their CV's (recruiting Security experts , cryptographers and coders) so If he didn't have the staff , how he got the idea and how he knew It's going to work in the first place ? because till I know I don't understand how his project is going to work.
he's just a veteran on this category, maybe his plan is still only "plan" or "imagination" but this still have the possibility to be implemented in the real life,
although the main point is
integrates bitcoin micro-payments with a system called Bitcache. The new version will allow users to monetize file sharing with small bitcoin payments.
which seems could working just need a bunch of techy person called dev team
6056  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: i need help on: August 12, 2016, 07:11:11 AM
can anyone tell me is this website is legit thanks

http://www.secondeyesolution.com/

you are asking if the site is legitimate?

legitimate

adjective

according to law; lawful:

the property's legitimate owner.

This site offers service prohibited by law, this site is not providing legitimate services.

You want to buy identity to what end? to steal? kill someone?

Create accounts with false documents in payment processors?

Do you think this a good thing? I don't recommend that you use these sites, you don't need to hide their identity, only thieves hide their identities.
maybe OP asking about whether this website is a trusted website or not, from the services they offer it's indeed not encouraged to be tried
but if the point is about whether it's trusted, just see the website's whois data
Code:
Important Dates
Expires On2018-05-26
Registered On2014-05-26
Updated On2014-05-26
means the website already planned to be active in 4 years, and scam website rarely buy a domain in 4 year period at once, but there's no review in google so far (maybe),it's all up to OP
6057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitGo, Coinbase Vaut or Paper Wallet for secure long term storage on: August 12, 2016, 04:52:13 AM
i guess paper wallet is the best option , easy to be renewable, easy to get,but the main problem is it's easy to lost but if you keep atleast so many copy of it and save it in different place which you know that it's secure and will never be touched by everyone,it'll be fine
6058  Other / Off-topic / Re: How kids can "earn" Bitcoin ? on: August 12, 2016, 04:40:35 AM
These are really good ideas. Have him go on bustabit.com they give out 2 bits every few minutes and he can play to try to get it up.
i guess you're just joking telling your kids to do gambling and maybe will make them a gambling addict in the future
or it's just the way your mind to teach your kids, however, don't make any kids touching things which is related to gambling
or they'll grew up very bad
6059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lowest transaction fee . How long can it take ? on: August 12, 2016, 04:39:21 AM
It could never get confirmed. You need to cancel the transaction
"CANCEL'? Are you kidding me? how you can cancel your bitcoin transaction. I never heard if the bitcoin transaction is can be canceling by the sender. maybe you're just making a troll in here.
I think bitcoin transactions can not be canceled. if it could be possible that there are con artists exist in bitcoin? because they can only cancel a transaction with ease?
if you know about double spend or atleast why so many merchant out there need atleast 1 confirmation or even more, you'll know why
when people tricking a transaction with double spend, the transaction will be rejected and the funds will come back to the sender
6060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin with Gift card? on: August 12, 2016, 04:35:56 AM
there's rarely someone who want to accept this kind of card, but if you really want to exchange it to bitcoin, just go to an exchanger which accept credit card and ask them to allow you to pay with it and you will atleast need to provide the proof of owning the card, maybe the image of physical form?

if the gift card is virtual, the only way to deal is with an individual exchanger
