5361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the main problems bitcoiners face? on: November 26, 2016, 11:56:25 PM
Well in my experience i face some pending sending and receive like few days ago when i was receiving my signature payment for week for 0.0147 with fee of 0.0001 satoshi and it takes a day before i receive it. this is always happening because of some wallet like coinbase you can not edit or manuallypay a  fee for your transaction that can result sometimes of delay..
Also as a bitcoin user i am still not satisfied the fees this days because i experience to pay $1 in small transaction..  because the size of transaction is above 1mb,,
I hope it can be change in the future.. because we are using bitcoin because of low fee..
I agree,  that is the obvious problem of using bitcoin. Cutomers are need fast and practicaly transaction. People will not like to wait and stand in supermarket although only 10 minute. I hope this problem can be solve soon.
the merchant just need to accept the transaction by zero confirmation. simply checking out the fees given and be sure to be above minimum requirements. no double spend at the time by checking the address' transaction. everything would be fine and there's no need to wait since it's obviously zero confirmation
5362  Economy / Speculation / Re: rapidly increasing price on: November 23, 2016, 11:23:17 AM
Yesterday it even passes the 750$ mark. Do you even believe it ? Each day seems like a dream for my wallet Grin !
I do believe in bitcoin!! Im almost ready for christmas. Just a little bit of uptrend. And my year end is so much happy.thanks to bitcoin.

4 years ago price went to 1200 $ in two weeks, there is possibility for same thing to happen again. With only difference in what will happen after, and instead of some drop it would be great to stay high and not fall after increase.
Well Christmas is really close, its nice when price is going up and everything is OK. I also hope that this trend will continue.
well a bit worried when Christmas is going to come. people are forced to sell their bitcoin adding more supply while demands remain the same because they need to buy stuffs for the Christmas. even some people said that there will be a dump on Christmas (didn't really trust it though) but anything could happen right?
5363  Economy / Speculation / Re: The adoption boom is coming on: November 23, 2016, 11:18:40 AM
Mainstream adoption is coming, get coins now while you still can
Once the whales move in, whole  coins will be too expensive for the average user  ( $10k+)  and people will deal in Mbits or maybe even satoshis...

Yup I could wish business whales like Microsoft, HP,Walmart and more companies should accept bitcoins. These kind of will definitely make good change around the world for bitcoin market.
microsoft had accepted bitcoin long ago (In December 2014) as their one of many payment options even though they ever erasing it from the list but they just get it back into their sites. (http://www.cnbc.com/2016/03/14/microsoft-stops-accepting-bitcoin-on-windows-10.html)
the news above are publishing about microsoft's apologizes

and i do agree that adoption by some mainstream website will really give an affect or impact to bitcoin. may even skyrocketing the adoption
5364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As someone below legal age, how do I buy bitcoins with my Mastercard? on: November 23, 2016, 11:11:01 AM
Find Bitcoin vending machine near your place. I've read all your question above and it seems the only problem is your age, buying on an individual may help you but mostly they don't accept card due to too much fraud transaction i guess. or maybe you can try to buy a physical bitcoin which was inserted with a private key of an address containing some amount of bitcoin,it's exist if i'm not wrong
5365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two things are certain: Bitcoin and Taxes on: November 23, 2016, 11:05:06 AM
I would prefer "Two things are certain: Death and Taxes." I think Bitcoin will not be here forever. There is a great possibility that governments will ditch paper money and go into their own cryptocurrency.
Definitely there's possibilities for those governments to make up their own digital currency instead of counting on bitcoin for the sake of their own security and to build up their economy to be better. but i guess it's not going to be a problem because bitcoin is not aiming to be the main currency of a country but to be universally used in this planet
5366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ios wallet without fees on: November 23, 2016, 10:55:26 AM
Thank you for your answer aubert.

Unfortunately it seems that XAPO is not available from itunes in the UK.

Well if that so. I recommend you to use a wallet which allows you to set custom fee so you can use the minimal fee to make your every transaction fee cheaper (as long it's still meet the requirement it won't slow down your transaction) or even without fee but the transaction could possibly rejected by the network and taking few days to be confirmed if you're lucky enough
Honestly, I never found a wallet that's not charging any fee like XAPO so far. Some may only require you to pay the cheap fee but it's not free
5367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin could become the internet's fuel. on: November 23, 2016, 10:50:44 AM
I think that bitcoin is already the internet's fuel but the only thing is missing is the support i mean the bitcoin is already a secure way to pay unlike virtual bank accounts that can be hacked , all we need is a way to spend our bitcoin on the internet
Nah you're wrong. bitcoin can be hacked through knowing the access to your address or taking the control over it. there's nothing in this world which are absolutely safe. you must set up your security and get its maximal potential for keeping your funds safe and it's you the only one who can do it
5368  Economy / Economics / Re: Currency v Property on: November 23, 2016, 10:47:29 AM
property is good investment and above is compare fiat money , real curency
because property every year value always incraese in price, and you can get return with you have property, you property can loan another person
real curency every year value always down because inflation
You must know the differences between investing on fiat and property. investing on fiat are mostly for short term while investing on property may take a long time to get pretty decent profit out of it. And when investing on the property you must already prepare to fulfil your monthly needs and for the urgent situation while in fiat you can just easily withdraw it when you need it
5369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ios wallet without fees on: November 23, 2016, 10:33:45 AM
I guess it's XAPO, their wallet also available for multi-platform: iOS, Android, and in their website for desktop, and as stated on their blog which is addressing about the "No More Transaction Fees" (https://blog.xapo.com/no-more-network-transaction-fees/). This feature not only limited for transactions between XAPO users but bitcoin address to bitcoin address transaction
5370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gradma knows about bitcoin. on: November 23, 2016, 10:26:13 AM
She talks about bitcoin not in the way that she knows about it, but in a way of disgust at how fast the world is changing. I can't wrap my head around fully deciding whether that's good or bad.
i suppose the the fast growing of technology is having both good and bad side. i'd agree that this grandma talking about bitcoin that way, being surprised
by another advanced technology which could replace paper money at the first place. not a surprising reaction
5371  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies? on: November 22, 2016, 11:14:30 AM
this is because many people using bitcoin and they come from many country and places so this can make any fluctuation for the price. beside that, the price of bitcoin is following the fiat rate and this is why the price is change in every day. and beside that the market itself is really give contribution for the changing of the price of bitcoin.

That might be due to the fact that the bitcoin is not a major currency yet. The usage is rare and it is just for speculation.
even fiat's rate always changing so does with bitcoin. keep in mind, those fiat are owned by a country and the country will do anythingpossible to keep their currencies rate high to prevent crisis, different with bitcoin which had not made by government and pure demand by the market
5372  Economy / Economics / Re: We need decentralisation and we need it now. on: November 22, 2016, 11:05:06 AM
bitcoin just already have the decentralisation system and as you said that you need it,then you got it because you're now on the right forum
so i encourage to use bitcoin and choose it

No other crypto currency can beat the benefits of using bitcoin, it's its platform so we can use it as it is more trusted than the others.
you can't know whether another coins could take over bitcoin's place or not and can't predict it but for now it's indeed that bitcoin is the best option around by its popularity and its usability

5373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Everyone already knows about bitcoin" no.. no they do not.. on: November 22, 2016, 10:57:58 AM
Well, it's not $1k anymore but yes, Bitcoin costs more than any other currency and still there aren't many people who know anything about it. It is sort of sad but at the same time if they all new, maybe btc would now be in taxes and without anonymity, because the governments would need to react on it and somehow make it legal.
what makes bitcoin costs more than any other currencies? i guess the fees which is required for every transaction is just about few cents or maybe you're talking or reffering about the price of bitcoin which are now quite expensive but hey bitcoin have decimal amount or even smaller units called mbtc, satoshi, and ubtc you can just buy and match the amount of bitcoin with your budget easily
5374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Millions of People Use Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2016, 10:54:28 AM
I think there are more than 30 million people in the world as bitcoin users,.
how confident your allegations, I'm sure you just guess it? I do not think it will be that much. for a great country I'm sure users will not exceed 300k users, and probably a whole will only reach 5-10 million users only
its really hard until now to know wahts the actual number but most of us for sure influence already some of our friends and relatives to also use and invest with bitcoin for sure from day to day more and more people are also acquiring so if just for guessing might be possible to have atleast 10M+ just for my personal guess though.
definitely, guessing is actually just raw opinion without any proof, the actual number of bitcoin users is really hard to be predicted or even being known because bitcoin users may have multiple wallet and multiple addresses, and if you're trying to get the number by calculating transactions for every second you will never get the right answer because an address which is automated to send bitcoin also exist
5375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much Fees to instant sent a bitcoin transaction? on: November 22, 2016, 10:51:09 AM
from your example sending $10 worth amount of bitcoin with fees about 10% of it ($1) is just too much, fees depend on transaction size and being multiplied with recommended fee/byte rate
for information about the current fee/byte rate go here: https://bitcoinfees.21.co/
and also beside of setting up the fees as one of the factors which make your transaction can fastly confirmed, it's also depends on the block and how much time needed to be solved i guess
5376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ups and Downs ! on: November 21, 2016, 12:02:36 PM
if you could take advantage of the situations down trend or up trend i'm sure you could got profit from that and this situations is common happening on every currency even dollar also have it so it is normally and as basic law trading says that buy when the price down and sell when the price rise up

but i think it is really very difficult job to understand the ups and down trend of the bitcoin, as no one know in advance that when the price of bitcoin is going to up or when then price of bitcoin can fell down so as to sell bitcoin before the downfall started.
that's actually true, even if you have such a good anaylzation that make you confident enough to make a decision and predicting what's going on with the price afterwards, there's still a chance for you to make a wrong prediction,it's all depend on luckyness i guess
5377  Economy / Economics / Re: cryptocurrency wallet to wallet transfer fees? on: November 21, 2016, 11:45:32 AM
so far didn't found the website which showing the amount needed as a fee for every transaction in various coins but hey you can just checking it out one by one, just go with the specific altcoins blockchain explorer, pick one transaction as an example and you can get the information about the fees,
the fees for every transaction may vary
5378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This School Accepts Bitcoin ! on: November 21, 2016, 11:20:29 AM
Quote
Merchants can instantly convert the bitcoins received into Indian rupees in their bank account,“
  Wink

 Cool
well there's nothing wrong with it, the school will eventually need to convert the bitcoin to local fiat, so why not just convert it directly to fiat for every bitcoin received, though at the end the function will be the same, students spending bitcoin to fulfill their education needs
5379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: advantages of bitcoin on: November 21, 2016, 11:12:16 AM
I see the biggest advantage of Bitcoin in it`s transparency.
Ability to transfer any amount in the minute around the globe.
Low fee for transfer.
I really love the transparency of bitcoin,if government around the world want to implement bitcoin to monitoring some project which is going deployed by the government then it's really good, we can prevent corruption, and the funds could clearly being shown to the public for what purpose it is by just simply giving a text note in every transaction or funds movement
otherwise if some country wants to implement blockchain system by making their own cryptocurrencies also not wrong
5380  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: noob on: November 21, 2016, 11:06:28 AM
Hi I am a noob and I'm looking to download Electrum as I have heard this is the easiest and quickest wallet to have. Is this the case?
well electrum is quite easy to use and don't require you to download the whole blockchain so electrum is a good choice indeed

Also, do you need funds to open a wallet as I wanted to get the wallet first and then buy some currency?
You don't need to have funds first. Just open a wallet and get the address, after that you can buy bitcoin and then send the bitcoin to the address which you have made before

any reliable UK bitcoin sellers this forum can recommend?
I'd suggest you go to localbitcoins.com, or coinbase.com
