5401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could there be a law on stolen bitcoins? on: November 16, 2016, 09:12:12 AM
Since bitcoin is pseudonymous so I think making law will go in vain because it would be hard to detect nad find those criminals. They would use VPN, and special proxy settings along with other security  to access internet and no one would able to find them. But less skilled one will get caught.
you don't know the actual meaning of pseudo-anonymous do you?
here's the some explanation
Quote
Pseudo-anonymity is the appearance – but not the reality--of anonymity online.
so the law will not go in vain, actually every of bitcoin's transactions can be traced by using blockchain explorer and those transactions history can't be deleted,it will stay forever
5402  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How do you know when a site tries to scam you? on: November 15, 2016, 11:15:59 AM
I recently was browsing through some bitcoin services and I noticed some scammy practices. Some of fraudulent sites I checked had nice "About Us" section.
They posted names and pictures of the their staff and short description. I smelled something fishy is going on there and after brief search I found the pictures of 'their staff' used on other sites as well.
Details, such as position and name were changed of course.
that's definitely stock photos which can be purchased widely in stock website, that's shady practice of scamming people through out taking advantage from the lack of knowledge and the lazyness of people for not having an investigation before investing, just need a smart step to checking it out and you can avoid any of these sites and such kind
5403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying bitcoin online without ID verification? on: November 15, 2016, 11:11:15 AM
You can buy bitcoins on the internet and you dont need to verificate your id and that is only because they dont have to know who you are because bitcoins are not traceable so you dont need it for sure!
bitcoin are actually traceable and just found one topic in this forum which discussing about an exchanger that asking the source of the bitcoin which their client have been sent to the exchanger's wallet, and if you are going to buy bitcoin with paypal or credit card, knowing who you are is a "must" for the exchanger to avoid fraudster
5404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it bad form to be stingy on tansaction fees? on: November 15, 2016, 11:06:51 AM
I call it freedom, you decide how much you want to pay(and wait of course)

And far I know, miners can choose the minimum fee to process the transactions or not.
having freedom such as being really stingy on transaction fees even it's for the sake of your transaction speed and sacrificing the speed for only a cent is really not worth it for the freedom you mentioned, you're making yourself unpleased by having some freedom which is useless in this case
5405  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Jumps on Trump Victory on: November 15, 2016, 10:47:18 AM
wow this is a great news for us bitcoin users. I hope he can make America great again. what do you think. does the future is near on our time right now ? what if this presidents and leaders in everycountry make the future for us. i hope they will propose that bitcoin will be our digital currency we can use in everyday life to make our daily needs to easy. like buying a coffee if we have a digital currency we can just send them a money through btc and we can get our coffee. just like that. I'm Imagining the future again.  Grin

To America be "great again" they just need another war and steal some poor country...

I believe that people just used the Trump to manipulate the market since after one day the price goes back to "normal", hope it can increase again.
just figured out from the statistic : http://www.x-rates.com/graph/?from=USD&to=EUR&amount=1
the bitcoin's price rising is actually because the decreasing value of dollars and had been weakened because of trump's victory, and now america could make their currency "great" again and now bitcoin's price also affected and can't increasing again as what have happened few days ago
5406  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and paying Tax on: November 15, 2016, 10:43:12 AM
bitcoin no paying tax any tax because bitcoin is not recognised by any government and i think we will be pay tax on bitcoin if bitcoin approve by any government and i think then they apply the tax on bitcoin.

that's like what i feel in my country, NO tax in bitcoin mining and trading, but the fee of withdraw is like tax in my country.
the regulation for small bussines must pay fixed 1% from his total transaction, and exchanger at my country take 1% fee for each withdraw, it's seem like tax too :/
it's fine and fair if you were using their services and they must have calculate this as their income from running the service and keep in mind that exchanger company also having an office and employees, the company need to make profit to pay the needs and keep running the business
if you feel unpleased just moving out,i guess there's many exchanger service which require you to pay fees lesser than 1%
5407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 15, 2016, 10:33:39 AM
no i do not thing that bitcoin can help poor countries because the poor countries have no facilities available to them, they cannot even trade bitcoin because they even cannot afford internet and cannot having good amount of money to buy bitcoin.
poor countries doesn't mean their people can't afford anything, inside poor countries also having classes such as high class(rich),middle class, and the poor
and even if the people can't even afford a computer and an internet, government can just make a computer + internet access for commercial in there, only if the government want to put an effort
5408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is actually use of SegWit? on: November 15, 2016, 10:28:31 AM
just got this point from : https://bitcoincore.org/en/2016/01/26/segwit-benefits/

Quote
Segwit prevents third-party and scriptSig malleability by allowing Bitcoin users to move the malleable parts of the transaction into the transaction witness, and segregating that witness so that changes to the witness does not affect calculation of the txid.

and also some important points
Quote
Who benefits?

- Wallet authors tracking spent bitcoins: it’s easiest to monitor the status of your own outgoing transactions by simply looking them up by txid. But in a system with third-party malleability, wallets must implement extra code to be able to deal with changed txids.

- Anyone spending unconfirmed transactions: if Alice pays Bob in transaction 1, Bob uses that payment to pay Charlie in transaction 2, and then Alice’s payment gets malleated and confirmed with a different txid, then transaction 2 is now invalid and Charlie has not been paid. If Bob is trustworthy, he will reissue the payment to Charlie; but if he isn’t, he can simply keep those bitcoins for himself.

- The Lightning Network: with third-party and scriptSig malleability fixed, the Lightning Network is less complicated to implement and significantly more efficient in its use of space on the blockchain. With scriptSig malleability removed, it also becomes possible to run lightweight Lightning clients that outsource monitoring the blockchain, instead of each Lightning client needing to also be a full Bitcoin node.

- Anyone using the block chain: smart contracts today, such as micropayment channels, and anticipated new smart contracts, become less complicated to design, understand, and monitor.
5409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dubai accepts Bitcoin on: November 15, 2016, 10:15:04 AM
In that news, they only say that Dubai only use blockchain technology. Maybe they'll accept bitcoin as payment method as well because bitcoin also based on blockchain technology.
But, i think only tourist who would use bitcoin.
in my opinion, bitcoin really have nothing to do with these blockchain project which the main purpose is "gamify" tourism, even if bitcoin also based on blockchain system aswell, dubai only aiming to implement the blockchain technology because they just have their own local currency (fiat) i guess
5410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: November 15, 2016, 10:12:23 AM
I didn't read this whole thing, but this is obviously a troll post. Does anyone use dollar bills for illegal activities? Is the Sky blue? Does the sun set in the west? Are you a troll?
yeah anyway if bitcoin actually used for illegal activities then what's the harm? all users are free to use bitcoin and there is no harm if they are using bitcoin to their interests, whatever it
You might not directly feel it because it doesn't affect you at all, but bitcoin being used in illegal activities actually gives bitcoin a bad name. You might not care about that and only think of earning money through bitcoins but bitcoin's reputation actually matters. All those bad stories about bitcoin has lead the majority into thinking that it is a scam and the users of it are doing something illegal online. It discourages the non-bitcoin users so that prolongs the mass adoption period.
actually not only giving bitcoin a bad reputation but also supporting such kind of illegal activities like drugs selling and probably human traficking which is really bad,if he's still saying what's the harm if bitcoin getting used for illegal activities,he needs to learn more about illegal activities and it's kind
5411  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Trump presidency may turn out beneficial for Bitcoin long term on: November 14, 2016, 11:53:05 AM
Donald trump's presidency might really be affecting the bitcoin's price now and might affect long term but I think it there's still a percent where trump will cause some dumps over bitcoin's price but he might also cause a price rise now that some stock market is falling down in price and he might cause uncertainty in stock market, causing investors to look for way to store money and that alternative is bitcoin.
if it was from my opinion, the trump being elected actually didn't directly affect bitcoin but through the falling of dollar's value and then the price of bitcoin rising because of it,i guess it will stay rising for a long time until USA recover its economic by doing few steps which will give a good impact for them, just wait and see
5412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: November 14, 2016, 11:41:35 AM
Trading probabaly is a good source of BTC since 60% of the voters have chosen it so far, but I think you can call it a really good source of income only if you are the owner of a trading site. Otherwise it's very hard if not impossible to make a good profit with trading.
making good profit from trading is not very hard nor impossible neither, also if you'd becoming an owner of a trading site then you must prepared to have responsibility of your users' funds if sometimes your database just got hacked, see the recent hacking which make trading site lost about thousands of bitcoins just in a night
5413  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: analyze this site ? on: November 14, 2016, 11:12:09 AM
I would say 150% that folks will lose they btc in there.

150% is quitely huge numbers and surely the other percentage of that number is earning on those hyips are he referral greedy people, and surely if the reffering will not stop the hyip.scamming incedent will continue and take note some other scammer are more innovative for now and making different thing/sites ideas just to scam people and that should we need be carefull with so we can avoid losses.
you don't get the joke are you? he's saying 150% people will lose money there means people will absolutely lose money there since percent is max 100% if it's about a chance, and yeah site above is definitely a ponzi and it just smells like it
5414  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Paypal a scam? on: November 14, 2016, 11:05:47 AM
Every monopoly is somekinda scam, you can still safely use paypal but,
never ever go all into it. you cannot know what is going to happen in future.

Ya i also agree with you.Just use it if only necessarry.Don save too much money on paypal.Withdraw it to our bank account when we don wan use that fund. Many seller has complain about paypal because of reversed fund.
even though the money you've gotten from selling a services had been withdrawn to your bank account, the paypal still can request you to get the money back to the one who just request a chargeback,if you're verifying your credit card with paypal, you'll be automatically charged and if you weren't then your paypal account seems going to be disabled
5415  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the minimum amount to start as a trader? on: November 14, 2016, 10:43:41 AM
Don't think of the income yet, as a newbie you have to explore all the possibilities in trading and what matters to you is the experience and not the income yet since the amount you are using is a small amount of money. You will get frustrated once you aim big with a small amount of investment.
definitely, aiming a good profit from such a small amount of money is just too much,0.0005 bitcoin is just too small if you're really consider it as an income and it's only worthy to pay up the fees nor to fulfill your daily needs,i'd suggest to be realistic, gain more money, and start to be a normal trader
5416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to sell bitcoins on an exchange on: November 14, 2016, 10:38:30 AM
it seems you're just choosing the wrong exchanger, the purpose of people using bitcoin is because they want privacy even if bitcoin is not fully anonymous you still have a chance to keep your privacy, only government have the right to ask you such important thing,if the exchangers are trying to violate your privacy then just get away, they're not worth for exchanging for now and in the future
5417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: November 14, 2016, 10:35:57 AM
Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?

It is very possible. Perhaps another crypto currency will step up. Maybe it will make better use of blockchain technology I am not sure if that is possible though but perhaps they can solve issues or have a better system. Though bitcoin is here to stay for sure.
actually if you trying to look in altcoin announcements section you will see many of altcoins offering such a good and useful features and even having better planning than bitcoin, but that's all useless because most of them can't attract attention of people to use their coins because bitcoin is just enough, better system will not bring success as long it don't have its chance to be success
5418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: November 14, 2016, 10:33:15 AM
One of the factors is a cyptocurrencies dangerous monopoly. I can't imagine if a person or institution capable of controlling and control a country in just a few hours
your statement above quite confusing but i will point out the wrong thing you've said.cryptocurrencies which were made to be decentralised can't be controlled by some institution or government unless they own tons of coin and that's why it's called decentralized, if it can be controlled by some institutions or organziations then it will not being called decentralized
5419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Announcing Bitcoin Black Friday 5. on: November 14, 2016, 10:29:29 AM
Cool that this is running again!

Please be on top of preventing another disaster like last year. That was some serious bad stuff going on with a lot of people losing money.

Other than than, great initiative, hope a lot of people will participate.

I was not part of this forum last year, so please tell me what happened last year that people had to lose money Huh

Some scammer made a competing site.

People who used the competing site in the middle of the day noticed a bunch of new sites got listed.

The newly listed sites were phishing sites and stole people's money.

Everyone who used bitcoinblackfriday.com was safe (well as safe as you can be shopping online).
yeah reminds me that day,the owner of bitcoinblackfriday.info honestly is pretty smart to scam people(no offense),first he's making a signature campaign to attract people to try out the website when the site just released, and after the site released, inside it have few button that redirecting to some popular website that selling goods but actually the hyperlink redirect to phishing site
5420  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how can i safe from scamer members.. on: November 10, 2016, 10:44:30 AM
A simple solution would be searching for those people in scam accusations.
No one can be trusted anywhere online, even old and trusted people turn to scam sometimes..  Sad

The best way to have exchange is by having an escrow. But have a good one to have a fair transaction.  Smiley
well the scam accusations section can't cover all of scammers over this forum and even it can the scammers will simply make a new account and start to scamming again but i don't say the scam accusations section is not good, this section is definitely good to fight against scammer and to unveil what the scammed had done, the only best option is to escrow but be sure to deal with trusted escrow and had been proven having good service for long time
