5241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC38 hot wallet got hacked and lost 1.5 million on: December 27, 2016, 06:42:00 AM
There are a long list of the online wallet being hacked since the inception of the bitcoin, and for that reason I don't keep my bitcoin in online wallet for long, often just use it for trading. There are still too much security issues there.
In my opinion, if the online wallet providers such as exchangers want to replace their client's losses because of the hacking it's not going to be a problem. But yeah saving in the offline wallet will be more encouraged but it's still having security risks. Just if you've been installing some sort of cracked programs or even using many pirated software, don't expect perfect security then
5242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: impact of bitcoin on your daily life/business? on: December 26, 2016, 12:32:33 PM
Its not a daily base but my monthly bills as our local exchangers also allow us to pay our cellphone, internet, electric and cable bills thru its services that offers so instead to go to remittance center i just use my btc earnings to pay those in my computer its so convenient and i love the change its almost a year now that I'm doing this practice. Thanks BTC
Yup in my country also we don't have the option to pay our bills through bitcoin directly. We must exchange our BTC to fiat currency and use that money for our daily needs. I will pay me all electric bills and phone bills, and I will do some online shopping. It helps me a lot in my everyday lives.
I think that the exchanger which was used by golf tech is actually paying those bills through fiat which indirectly exchanging the bitcoin first. If you want to feel the same you just can use some bitcoin debit card, sync it to your PayPal account and then load it with some bitcoin which could fulfil the bills, you just need to enable automatic billing and then it will make your life more easy
5243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which trading method is better? on: December 26, 2016, 12:02:16 PM
sell Bitcoin on strong leap candlelight prices up, and buy on the downward correction, that's all strategy.... altcoin very risky in a casino, playing the smallest amount possible
That's simple strategy. Thus the efficient method of trading. Altcoins are like a gamble, anytime it can drop for terrible. But I may think if the simple strategy was already enough for make a lot of profit for us. Will be suitable if mixing it with some technical analysis.
You can earn a lot of money if you have a lot of funds. Don't gamble in Shitcoin, Focus on legit coin invest a large of money in that and you can earn a lot from that Smiley Although the dumping and pumping of the coin is so small if you have a lot of funds you can earn a big money from that.
That is right, Don't focus on waste coins because they are just made by the devs to sustain for their own selfish needs. If you truly want to be successful and earn a lot of money then stick to those stable and strong crypto-currencies like bitcoin then invest the small part of your money and just keep investing when you get your salary and after a few years you will see the great results and the big amount of money that you didn't imagine that you can earn by just believing and investing in bitcoin or any stable coin out there.
Its already been proven from time to time since btc already bring value to our investment and some other alts which still working hand and hand with bitcoin just do the hard research and study how those crypto works while the big amount of your investment is still with btc just hold and wait for the good results never do such panic if you see dump happens.
Those shitcoins sometimes bring pretty good profit. I know that those coins is actually were made for trading purpose or something else depend on the developers themselves but in my opinion that if those coins were made for trading purpose they will have some sort of dumping and pumping phase which is sometimes instantly happening and could raise its rate until few hundreds percent in short amount of time
if you could manage to get profit from it, you will have really good profit
5244  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: December 26, 2016, 11:54:03 AM
Right now, the market cap of Bitcoin is quite low, and considering its potential, there is a chance that BTC can give as much as 10x or 25x returns in a matter of few years. It is a risk which you must take, if you have the means to do so. Invest a small amount, such as $1,000 or $5,000. If you are lucky, then you will get enough returns to buy your own house.

And that is just possible to happen after few years and still there is no assurance that for that years bitcoins value will be still on that good price.

But as long as we are here who are using bitcoins, the price is going to play pump and dump but higher chance of the price is going to be on higher state.

Buying of bitcoins right now are just good for those people who afford to invest with bigger amount and can't wait for its price to fall.
Well, that's how investing on bitcoin works. It's like a gamble but it's not you just counting and what you can do only waiting. Would prefer to take advantages of pump and dump which could possibly occur for many times within a year rather than sitting and do nothing.
But honestly that i don;t sure in few years the price of bitcoin will rising up that high until 10x or 25x. It's just too high for a digital thing
5245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your pain and problems in the bitcoin world on: December 26, 2016, 11:26:37 AM
2. I really scare if i put wrong address when i want to send bitcoin.
In some bitcoin wallet, you can make a contact with an address inside it so it will lower the risk of mistyping an address. You just need to select the name of someone you're going to send some bitcoins and then it's done. Though, it's really encouraged nowaday to use this feature because some virus even have ability to replace an address you were inserting on address tab with the virus or hacker address, so beware
5246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever lost BTC from getting infected? on: December 26, 2016, 10:59:30 AM
I'm never. Those Softwares which being entitled as a cracker tool or whatever similar are mostly designed to be phishing or keylogger. Downloading pirated software also could trigger an infection occur on your PC
so just get away from those things will make you safe or you can download those only if you're advanced enough to know what's inside the software. As a proof that this method is pretty effective is me, I've never got stolen my bitcoin even a cent from my computer because i prevent any downloads of suspicious things
5247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: advantages of bitcoin on: December 26, 2016, 10:40:39 AM
please pen down all the advantages of bitcoin over traditional bank system. Also mention if bitcoin system is adoptable for bank system.

There's so many advantages of bitcoin has, one of them are bitcoin don't have any tax charges, aside from that hassle free, then it is more secured than a bank outlet which can be steal by a robber anytime unlike bitcoin not. That's it!

no that's not true man, banks are more secured than what you think and your money is more prone to robbers or so called hackers maybe you didn't know how risky it is to store your money online through bitcoin because our computers are vulnerable to a malicious software like botnet or trojan horse which can be used by hackers to gain an access and remotely control your device .
That's definitely right. Bank also cover your loss if your accounts were hacked while with bitcoin you can do nothing if the funds were just getting away from your wallet. By using bitcoin you must maintain your security by your own hand and whether the security will be very good or bad it depends on the owner. Banks are setting up everything necessary for you because you're their client and they will make profit out of you
5248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does a President Trump mean for Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2016, 10:36:53 AM
Well, Trump doesn't even know what bitcoin is.
So, Trump won't support the bitcoin coz he doesn't even know it.
Are you kidding me? A President of a powerful state does not know about bitcoin. lol

Trump is a businessman and for sure he already knows what bitcoin is. And as long as Trump sees that it can give a boost to the US's economy then that's sure that Trump is going to do something to make bitcoin to be used and known to his nation in his way. But still we don't know what is going to be playing on his mind about bitcoin.
Even trump is a businessman doesn't mean he really knows about bitcoin maybe he'd ever heard about it but what's his affair of making bitcoin known on his country? it's none of his business by the way
and if he's really seem to like bitcoin like what you've talked then he must have ever talked about bitcoin on his campaign or afterwards but we only see nothing
5249  Economy / Services / Re: [BRAND NEW SERVICE] on: December 26, 2016, 06:22:40 AM
Well, figthing scammers with spamming won't work I guess. And as far as i know that scammers often used fake email and name so they actually don't care what people will send to their email or even never open their email again after scamming. Maybe this one could be used for another purpose just my 2 cent
5250  Other / Meta / Re: [LEARN] BBCode Lessons & Tutorials on: December 25, 2016, 05:52:35 AM
I just figured out when making a signature that the real character limit is not 4000 but 3899. Whenever I make a signature and if it surpasses 3899 characters it will cut off and left 101 characters remaining.
Maybe there's an explanation about it?

5252  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: December 23, 2016, 03:30:55 AM

Just like monnt said, we can never stop using fiat and even all of us are all using bitcoin still the government is the one that needs to be followed by its citizen. And I'm sure that government is not going to totally surrender all the money system to bitcoin as it is uncontrollable and they don't have the authority to reproduce it if they want to.
Giving up the government's fiat and just let its place taken down by bitcoin is the same as giving up the government's economy and that's will never happened because the government had realised it.
They may not consider bitcoin as a threat for now but they will and eventually. Honestly i would prefer bitcoin to be an alternative currency and not to take over the world's currencies
5253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: December 23, 2016, 03:23:51 AM
Because it let them do things anonymous and its also most likely that they can use it globally and also fast, controllable by themselves.
People will not be interested in storing large amounts of fiat money, bank interest only 8% a year but inflation is 5% a year, so they only get of 3% a year. Of course this calculation is not interesting, if we save bitcoin, then in a year could benefit hundreds of percent, 2016 price increases already 350%, that's the reason people choose bitcoin than fiat money.
You must keep in mind that bitcoin not only have the price increase but also the price falling. Bank have low risk but low profit as well while bitcoin have high profit but also high risk
When you said that the price could increase about hundreds percent within a year it also reminds me when bitcoin's price was falling from $1000 to $400 in just short term of time
5254  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Don't use Cryptopay for gambling on: December 23, 2016, 03:13:59 AM
I used my cryptopay card to make a deposit to a online casino. And they locked my card when I received my withdrawal (450 gbp) from the casino and asking me to verify my account. I already sent my documents 2 times. They are still refusing to release my fund.

Then I asked them to send back the money to casino. But they said they can't do that. Total bullshit. They asked me to contact their banking provider by an email. We deal with cryptopay, not with a third party. And their TOS don't have a word about such thing. I don't really believe the bank will respond to me by email. I guess it's a clever scam.

Don't use Cryptopay for gambling.
I never used this service actualy ever since, its really sad that bitcoin related companies updated to KYC policy, in my part it basically destroy the capabilities of bitcoin as to become anonymous in sending and recieving, but as cryptopay ha a good service well you have to follow and implement their new rules as well. Thanks for the information anyways.
After you've loaded your card's balance with bitcoin then it's the same as you exchanging your bitcoin to fiat therefore bitcoin has nothing to do with it neither anonymity nor freedom. You know that they're using words "bitcoin debit card" for marketing purpose and not really bitcoin debit card which contains bitcoin inside it but fiat
5255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Have Stolen Millions Of Dollars In Bitcoin -- Using Only Phone Numbers on: December 23, 2016, 03:01:50 AM
You can't outsource your computer/cryptocurrency security to a 3rd party like your phone carrier. It's a recipe for disaster.
The services are vulnerable too. 2FA isn't safe if you use it with your phone number.

How is 2FA not safe?
There two layers here, the password and the time password or 2FA which I consider the safest way when logging in somewhere.
As spoken by him 2FA is not so safe if you use 2FA through SMS verification. Didn't know whether 2FA which use software like google authenticator or similar could be compromised but news above in the main post is a proof that SMS verification could be compromised

I don't really think that some hackers can do things like this, tho this kind of method is not impossible, but this is very rare to happen, so everyone must be aware of this type of incident. Everyone must be careful especially to those who have huge funds with their web wallets.
Yeah you said some hackers can't do things like this but maybe the hackers which were mentioned in the news are the rest hackers who could
5256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC38 hot wallet got hacked and lost 1.5 million on: December 23, 2016, 02:56:39 AM
After few hackings to the exchangers site had occurred now its time for the rest exchangers whose bitcoin still in their hot wallets to measure their security again. This shit will always repeat itself because this is about money. I sometimes wonder why exchangers don't put their security in the top while if they got hacked they could lose so much money in just a day and probably can't recover it back. Just hoping no balances cut off for their clients like what have happened to bitfinex
5257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Everyone already knows about bitcoin" no.. no they do not.. on: December 22, 2016, 05:13:56 AM
The same is in my country there are not much people who know about bitcoin but only some of them and they are those people who are the students of computer science or of software engineering or who have spend a good time in online earning from home. while all others even the students of business and economics do not know about it.
That's really normal. Those software engineering and computer science students know bitcoin to expand their knowledge, while student like you have been mentioned such as business, economics, or another category which are really don't have relation to the technologies don't really require them to expand their knowledge about a techy thing,it's not their business by the way
5258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: December 22, 2016, 04:43:15 AM
Some countries do not like the bitcoin as it can destroy their own economy due to that they do not want it in their own country..
This is a compelling reason, this is because the bitcoin can not be controlled. of course it could damage the country's economy. The best possibility is to make your own digital currency that can be fully controlled.
By seeing that bitcoin is now not yet popular among people in this world or I could say that people who knew bitcoin are only the minority and honestly the pretty small amount of people in percentage it's couldn't really threatening a countries' economic. The impacts aren't that big to an economy when people are buying bitcoin there might be a time that they will exchange it to fiat again because their purpose of buying bitcoin mostly to get profit not to take advantage of its feature
5259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin still suited to low amount transactions? on: December 21, 2016, 06:29:48 AM
bitcoin transaction may have a minimum, so we can not transact in small amount. bitcoin transactions, has a minimal fee, ie 0.0002 BTC, so you possibly, will not be able to conduct transactions under 0.0002 BTC. besides, if you're doing a mediocre transaction with a small fee, it might cause a delay in the confirmation.
Bitcoin don't have a minimal fee but recommended fee. You can set the fee and no matter how much the fee if you're willing the transaction to be sent then it will be sent. It's all depend on current fee/bytes and sending a transaction with an amount smaller than the minimal fee which you mentioned above ( 0.0002 ) is possible as long the fee meets the current recommended fee by calculating fee/bytes if you expect the transaction to be confirmed fastly. However you can also setting up a transaction with zero fee with the risk of rejected by network or taking few days to get confirmed
5260  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nicehash getting caught in my Antivirus on: December 21, 2016, 06:11:12 AM
As long as you downloaded it from their official website and NOT through any unknown website it must be fine. Maybe, it's just a false positive but in case if you really worried about it or not sure with the software either maybe trying another mining software might be a good decision for you. However, it's up to you
Or maybe, you can try to scan the file containing potential malware by various antivirus softwares here: https://www.virustotal.com/
Here's the official software link: https://www.nicehash.com/?p=software
