5081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: February 02, 2017, 11:23:50 PM
because they have a stake on it

they have interest on more fiat going into btc
there are certainly differences of fiat to bitcoin that make a person more interested in using bitcoin than fiat, for myself of course bitcoin be keeping a secret my transaction so I prefer bitcoin for this
Your transaction will remain secret as long as if no one recognises you as the owner of the wallets, if they do, then your transaction will be revealed because blockchain will always keep your transaction history.
So I must say that the secret status of your transaction is temporary in this case.
5082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: February 02, 2017, 10:50:50 PM
There is no danger in it if you manage it wisely.
If you're referring to manage the "security" wisely then it might be true, but, you still have a chance to be hacked and any other things which threatening your security may happen, though, OP here is talking about how if the government rip your money off if you were using cryptocurrencies after the paper money have perished, the government can do anything if it's necessary even robbing their own citizen.
5083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: February 02, 2017, 02:19:47 PM
I won't say that bitcoin will always remain number 1 but yes it will remain number 1 for the long term. Any altcoin might come up with huge market cap and large community so it's not impossible kind of thing. However bitcoin as a early player of the cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, it is difficult for altcoins to compete with bitcoin as of now.

More expensive is not meant to be cryptocurrency number 1. Pound more expensive dollar, but the dollar is regarded as a world currency. in the same way and has may not be the most expensive relative to other violas, but being the first. Although, in the case of the dollar, that with Championship BitCoin may lost due to circumstances
That's right. To determine whether a currency deserves to be called number 1 currency or world's leading there are many factors and the value is just one of many factors. I will take another example that proves the value of coin didn't make the coin number one, as for example is Zcoin which is lately ever reached about few bitcoin for a ZCoin and now as you can see by yourself it's no potential competitor anymore for bitcoin in my perspective.
5084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: February 02, 2017, 02:12:17 PM
One danger is that digital currency is used just like traditional bill-and-coin currency for purchases and online payments, but it's also considered a commodity, just like silver or gold. That means it's just as vulnerable to market fluctuations as any other commodity or stock would be. the market can move up and down—and, as is the nature of a young and active commodity—it can sometimes do so quite wildly.
actually people are still adopting bitcoin and still less than 1 % people are using bitcoin and in which may be a few hundred are able to use it as currency, while the remaining people still do not have the facility to use bitcoin as currency in local shops, therefore most of the people are using bitcoin as investment and for trading, i think when they will able to use bitcoin for shopping as currency then people will mostly use bitcoin as currency and not investment.

Just by your statement, Bitcoin used by 1% of the people in the world and you see it is at 1000$. Just imagine if 50% people uses bitcoin how high the price will be because as demand increases, the price will increase too.
There is no Danger of CrytoCurreny to anyone other than Fiat as, Soon Fiat will be vanished by bitcoins.
50% Of people around the world use bitcoin is just too dreamy, even I'm sure dollar didn't reach that many users, even if 10% of population in this world were using bitcoin, it would giving a big impact and might sky-rocketing the price due to uncontrollable demand, though it's just (if).

Hi, I completed the task for the twitter campaign. I will tweet and retweet everyday. I just want to know when will I receive my coins and how? Thanks for the opportunity Wink
I'm not the one running the twitter campaign, but if you are accepted into the campaign, payments are made every Tuesday. In order to receive coins make sure to create an account at their website https://ascendancy.io/#/ and then post on this page with your IPO username and your twitter account. Then when payments go out, they should appear in your IPO account on the ascendancy website
I never make that post which you have quoted by the way, but what you have said is right. Payment will be distributed every Tuesday and be sure to send your IPO username to me through PM or posting here.

*IMPORTANT: Guys, be sure to submit your data in the form if you want your participation to be listed on spreadsheet, otherwise it will not be counted if you don't
5086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin to buy everyday needs? on: February 01, 2017, 12:36:40 PM
is there any place you guys have been staples stores that accept payment using bitcoin, because I had to be pioneered, may be slightly users because not many people know, hopefully this will be so many people using bitcoin as a means of transaction

There are not much merchant out there that are accepting bitcoin right now and even if there are a few numbers that have it is too complicated to other people on what bitcoin is and the knowledge of using bitcoin is not that high, that is why I think that merchants for bitcoin will not show themselves right now because there are still a lot of people that hasn't really using and have knowledge with bitcoin.
Well, there's plenty of 3rd parties which you can use to buy things and everyday needs nowaday, just their coverage aren't that much therefore some area still of lack acceptance regarding bitcoin in their daily life and can't fulfil the everyday needs. Just if the bitcoin users growing a lot and significantly in short time, there might be some trend about accepting bitcoin into business

5089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do America and England follow bitcoin? on: January 31, 2017, 10:51:03 AM
How many members or posters here are from USA/England/EU?
How man are from Asia (China,India,Russia etc)
Rest of the world?

So that's pretty sums up who's who are embracing or adopting bitcoins around the world....
You can't determine the bitcoin users in each country based on how often they're active and posting in this forum and why the heck they need to.
There's also many people who didn't know this forum and just don't want to get involved into these discussions, they just use bitcoin and don't care about another business.
5090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: January 31, 2017, 10:45:07 AM
Other countries doesn't support bitcoin because government is strict about taxes, but in my country its been permited because it helped a lot of people who seeks opportunity of money using digital currency income. The online wallet in my country is been taxed by the government, thats why its been allowed to used by people and legal to everyone who has freedom.
You are lucky your government is supporting bitcoin transaction. Which country do you belong to?  In my country, we don't know our government is thinking about bitcoin or not. Becasue we will not see any news regarding this bitcoin in my country. But some exchange companies are making money by using this our govt negligence. I don't know when our govt will think about this bitcoin and accept it as legal currency.
Your government will seem or more likely to regulates bitcoin when some organisation which have power in your country force to or many people in your country seem to use bitcoin really often.
Though the nonexistent of the news regarding to bitcoin in your country probably because of the lack of interest to bitcoin which not bring profits to any of those media.

To be clear.
Do we need to post here tweets and retweet links?
Also now is the problem with retweet, because now i do not know which of yours tweet has ben pinned. I did a few more than you need
Sparkit has often post the pinned tweet changes in this thread/topic, you shall know which pinned tweet is eligible to be retweeted by watching this thread/topic.

I would like to ask about the campaign blog.
If I can re-post about ASC in the same blog to get coins ASC.
Please sir, information about the campaign article?
I would like to participate in this promotion the ASC project articles.
No, if you post an ASC article in your blog for more than one, the oldest one will be replaced by the newest, so, you will have only one entry and that's why I really recommend people here who want to join the article campaign to make a good quality content to maximise their potential of earning the highest reward.

For the rest of participant, I really recommend to report through PM if there's some mistake regarding the spreadsheet, I just figured out that the search feature sometimes dysfunctional though it's just a minor problem which means rarely happen.

Apparently, I earlier suggested that we post our Tweets and retweets links here even If you want us to organize them into weeks because I'm sure there'll be a miss up. For the records, I have a complete list of Tweets and Retweets I've made throughout this campaign and I suggest other participants does this too.
That's right.
For the 3rd week, I'll make a form for participants to post their tweets and retweets to improve the accuracy and reduce the mistake when counting, thanks.

Alright thanks for the response. Since Second week ends on 31st of January, I should post my Tweet links and retweets for both first and second weeks for recording and then we proceed to third week with the new counting method? I like the new counting method Smiley
That's right. Kindly PM me with your recording if you think it's necessary Smiley.
5093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: January 30, 2017, 11:29:56 AM
Still many countries don't have complete about bitcoin technology and even din't ban bitcoin in their country yet. Still they are in problem how to recognize bitcoin and how it is beneficial for them. Even they like the bitcoin technology but bitcoin is not complete depended currency.
Honestly, they're not struggling on how to recognise bitcoin but they just don't interested to bitcoin due to low users in their country and they must've known how bitcoin is beneficial for them but as I've stated, too low users and probably too risky. Bitcoin technology is indeed such an innovative thing and interesting but bitcoin must've met the requirements above to attract the government.

5097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin prevent crime? on: January 29, 2017, 12:49:53 PM
Just the opposite OP it facilitates crime.  Have you ever heard of Silk Road?
You mean the Silk Road, which appeared in the Golden Age, and served as a transport route across Eurasia?
Assuming you're not being sarcastic or whatever. Silkroad is an anonymous marketplace which often used for illegal transactions such as buying and selling drugs, any illegal goods, and so on which accept bitcoin as a payment method, therefore, it's also considered as a marketplace which could trigger criminal activities among bitcoin users over the world and now have been taken down by the FBI as I've heard from the media.
5098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin is not that easy on: January 29, 2017, 12:44:08 PM
You had some sort of presentation and when hurry started to ask questions you didnt have answers.
Money laundering is happening with fiat for a long time, its hypocritical from fiat lovers to judge bitcoin. Why dont they clean their yard before they even start to talk about other yards! This kind of attitude is really annoying, dont lose your nerves in trying to explain, like The Pharmacist said: " Good luck trying to convince people of that.  Either you like bitcoin already, or you're not going to be convinced, ever. " Respect!

I was going to say almost same words. That member of the jury was saying words he/she heard from the media, and they actually have no clue by themselves. That's a problem with modern education system - students know more than their teachers. I don't even know what to suggest for OP to do because exposing their ignorance he might get himself in troubles.

It was a presentation guys and the job of the jury is to question the obvious flaws of the presented topic
and the job of the presenter of the topic is to defend the topic he presented. the jury is not familiar about bitcoin
that's why he ask a common question, it's not hypocritical to ask an obvious problem, isn't it?
Definitely. It's really normal to ask whether bitcoin is getting used for laundering money or not due to lack of knowledge regarding bitcoin if they already know the answer then why did they ask that question?
and in my opinion that asking such question doesn't mean the jury is fiat lover or whatever, the jury is just curious and want the right answer to make things clear.
And at the end when you have done your explanation to the jury, it's them who will make a decision to whether keeping trusting what media said or turning back and return to the truth.
5099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: January 29, 2017, 12:35:43 PM
I would tell them that it is just like $ but it is only used in the internet and will soon replace or thrive with $. You can exchange $ to bitcoins by trading 😀
It seems to be the simple way to explain what is bitcoin and how it is getting importance in all forms. If you say this to a person who have a little knowledge about digital currency they'll understand. The same thing to a person who is totally new to bitcoin won't make sense. So based upon the age group they need to be explained.
I think simple explaination is good, they do not need to understand how bitcoin works, they only need to know gow to use and earn it. Just say that bitcoin is money and you can use it to buy something.
Simple but if not attractive then it's such a waste, teenagers nowaday are always attracted to some kind of video or images for explanation, therefore, those explainers need to be creative to make their audience who in this case teenagers to always pay attention for the explainer, well, that's just my 2 cents.
