Since he was banned, is there a way to get all his posts removed?
I really think that since he was banned for threats and then came back anyway all his posts should be nuked.
If not all, then at least all the topics he started.
Just my view, but if you scrub his posts there is less reason for him to come back. Otherwise he can come back as falseflag2 and then falseflag3 and keep littering the forum with his crap.

Ohhh, new place to play.
Hopped in and played for a bit. I like the site and the graphics.
But....it's kind of laggy. I can't explain it past that. Click on an action and 1...2...3...4...5...6 then it happens.
All other sites are fine at the moment.
I'll try again later / tomorrow but is anyone else seeing anything off?
It's now 21:00 UTC 20-Oct for reference.

Do you do a shuffle after every hand or after a certain number of hands?
Just wondering, if you are doing a shuffle after every hand the number of decks does not matter.
If you are not someone can run a basic count. The site still has an edge, but the player can cut into it a bit.

6124  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A great lesser known wallet! [BlueWallet] on: October 20, 2019, 05:39:40 PM
Because of this:

The address is a seg-wit address created with an uncompressed private key. This means that the outgoing transaction is considered "non-standard".

no, if the address was indeed created using an uncompressed public key then it is considered invalid and your funds are irretrievable.

Maybe a Bitcoin Core dev can adjust some code so it can be retrievable?

bitcoin isn't centralized to be controlled by bitcoin core devs so that they could adjust some code and change consensus rules with a snap of a finger!
what makes your output unspendable is consensus rules that dictate SegWit outputs must all use compressed public keys. in order to change that you have to create a fork and get the majority of the network to accept that fork.

i am curious, how did you create this address in first place?

Old version of Bluewallet for iOS (Android also had the bug) it let me create it without error-catching it.

They refuse to own up to their mistakes or even acknowledge it.

I would keep away from bluewallet for a bit.
If the OP really did nothing "wrong" but bluewallet did then it's a big flag for me.
As with everything YMMV

6125  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T9+ says "Chain[J4] has 0 asic" on: October 20, 2019, 12:46:13 PM
Since you already did the standard diagnostics (cable / PS / reset)
And you also reprogrammed, I am going to have to say the next step is going to be checking the voltages at the regulators.
Also, if you want to pull off the heat-sinks you can check for damage.

Depending on where you are located, the cost of power, and a bunch of other things it's probably not worth buying a replacement board.
But that's just my opinion.

6126  Other / Meta / Re: Ban evasion: falseflagger (alt of humanrightsfoundation) on: October 20, 2019, 03:07:10 AM
I interacted with them last night, I couldn't get them to openly admit to being the Alt, seemed pretty clear. I did just report to moderator, as I assumed it would get to the right people who could verify it. Seeing the post from theymos about the VPN and whatnot, I guess it would be a tough call. Probably easy enough to just ignore anyone who comes here defending Humanrightsfoundation, because no one else in their right mind would. Won't be falling for that again.

He more or less did here:

I spent thousands on this project from my own pocket and I don't think it is appropriate to accuse someone with scam just because he deleted comments which linked directly to a competitor who for that matter of fact tried to register trademark in the United States and in the EU to destroy my work and stole my intellectual properties. The only reason I have deleted the question was this and not because I did not wish to answer legitimate questions. Again, the topic I requested to delete should be deleted because it has nothing to do with scam.

Seriously, any of you can imagine how it is feels when someone who don't even takes time to do some research simply attacks you and in 30 seconds declare you scammer? I did paid my last cents also to maintain this project and while there is no articles and videos I have a good reason for that.

I can assure you that less donation the address received than I was deposited to that address. In a few days you will see 0.04 BTC again will be deposited by me and my associates because we need to pay for the servers and domains names which are not cheap at all. With more donations would be faster and easier to do what we wish to do that is why I opened the topic about donations where immediately someone linked to hrf.org which in March of 2019 created copied and modified my copyrighted work and started requesting Bitcoin donations.

I note that hrf.org was the one who on 1 May 2015 applied for trademarks in the USA and EU fraudulently and in this very moment they not even using the trademark what they obtained on which by the way there is a disclaimer "NO EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO USE HUMAN RIGHTS FOUNDATION APART THE MARK AS SHOWN". The disclaimer is inserted by the USPTO because I had to protest against the registration.  My protest is accepted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This maniac scammers from the Empire State Building caused damage to us and I every day need to send take-down notices to Twitter, Google and elsewhere because they marketing my work what they reproduced illegally right after that they failed with the trademark registration and the attempt to stole my domain name.

This is the short description about the reason why I deleted the comment in the first place.

So yeah, it's him.
No idea why the mods are letting this stay up. Eliminating all other issues about it, it's still a ban evasion so should be gone.

A question just came to my mind. Please accept my apologizes if it's off-topic.

I have seen many users banned for plagiarism. But this is the first user I've ever seen banned due to scamming. Scammers are usually get negative trusts. But they are not banned. Am I right?
Generally, I am in favor of banning scammers. But if scammers should be banned, why is game-protect not banned?

He wasn't banned for scamming. As far as I can tell, he was banned for making death threats (scroll down to post #32).

More or less from what theymos posted here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5179710.0

humanrightsfoundation looks like a scammer, but he also posted several serious threats. Due to the possibility of actual violence from him, it may be worthwhile to compile a dossier on him and report him to the relevant authorities. I think he was accessing the forum via a VPN, but he may be traceable through his other activities.

Here are some of his (now-deleted) threatening posts:
....Snip....

So yeah, more or less threatening people.
And then after the ban coming back a bunch of times with alts.

Just another whackjob scammer looser.

Do a quick google of series vs parallel circuits you were either putting 24v into the miner or the power supplies were trying to compensate and were doing who knows what.
If it's mining OK now then don't worry about it. But I would replace the 750 units with something bigger.

-Dave

They do make devices that go from 110v to 220v

https://www.amazon.com/Simran-AC-5000-Voltage-Converter-Transformer/dp/B004MPR44E

You still need enough amperage to do it and they do add another layer of resistance / inefficiency to the setup but they can be used.

Since you can run this on a pair of 110v PSU I would do that, but if you get something that is 220 only so long as you have 110 and enough amps it can be done.

Bumping this since it's been a few weeks.

I did some testing and dropping the speed a bit and running it on only 2 has boards will get you a just about 400w dead silent space heater doing about 225 MH/s

Since winter is coming here it might be an idea.

Make me an offer, I will pass it on to the owner of the rig.

Spewing his nonsense again.

Surprised nobody posted about this here yet.

Depends on which app you were using. If it is the bitcoin core wallet then take a look at pywallet here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=38004.0
If you were using a different app there may or may not be other options.

Also take a look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=38004.0

6133  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 50 million from investors to create a massive mining farm in Texas on: October 19, 2019, 01:15:16 PM
Nobody smart would launch something like that now.
And if they are they would be idiots to do it in TX (or anyplace in the US at the moment)
And if they are relying on new tech to do cooling it's going to be even worse.

1st  the new build is going to be expensive
2nd due to the tariffs the equipment is going to be more (miners)
3rd  new cooling tech, even if it works, since it's new means it's unproven and untested, which means there are going to be issues
4th  and this is a big one, it's not even started yet so by the time it comes online the next gen miners / chips are probably going to be just on the horizon so, they are going to be hitting the tail end of this gen if they want to be up and running or paying big money for the new gen.

Just my view, I hope to be wrong since I would like to see more mining come to the US, but I just do see it as viable.

Saw this post about a new casino and figured I would drop in.
Yes, the initial loads are really slow, but beyond that it seems to play OK.
Dropped a little eth, lost it but I did have fun playing which is the point.
Will be back.

6135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [~1 BTC Bounty] on: October 19, 2019, 12:11:52 AM
ALL miners and nodes will allow this transaction. It is non-standard, which just means that they won't relay it for normal transaction relay as an unconfirmed transaction.
Would this be something a miner can easily change? Say Pool X sets up nodes that accept it, assuming the fee is above a certain very high threshold, so they become the go-to location for all similar cases?

An interesting thing to think about.
In theory the pool operator would not even have to have nodes that listen for it, all they would need is a web page that you paste in the signed transaction and it can take it from there.

Core does not allow accepting non-standard transactions on mainnet. There is a -acceptnonstdtxn option that can be enabled, but it does not do anything on mainnet; it only works on testnet and regtest. However, it is trivial to change that, there is just one if block that can be removed to allow accepting non-standard transactions on mainnet.
So it would be pretty easy for a pool operator to run a slightly modified version of Core that accepts non-standard transactions.

Do you know if the larger pool operators (poolin / btc.com / viabtc / antpool) even use "stock" core or some heavily modified version of it or some custom code.
I would think that they would have something heavily customized for their use as it is now.

6136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: October 18, 2019, 02:42:13 PM
For me it depends on my mood and the game I am playing.
Remember all casino games favor the house. So a more crowded table you will loose slower as the dealer has more work to do.
For some "junk" or "carnival" games depending on what you call them (let it ride, 3 card poker, etc.) there is no real thinking involved. A crowded table with fun people is an enjoyable way to pass the time.

Some other games, like blackjack, where you need to have some kind of count going in your mind to cut into the house edge, a table with fewer people (easier to maintain the count) who are quiet is better for me.

Slots / other electronic games is really a whatever for me. It's just me and the machine and I tend to zone out.

Trying to come up with the reason why somebody would invent a story like this. Struggling to come to a conclusion as to why anybody would be so weird.

Because they then come back later and flat out beg for BTC
That or they come back later as another person who was also hacked, and try to fish for money to start a lawsuit.

I have this power hungry ASIC on 3 separate power supplies
How do you have it on 3 separate supplies?
Unless I am missing something if you plug 2 power supplies into 1 of the power boards bad things are going to happen.
Each board should only have 1 power supply if you have to split them up.

-Dave

*I could be wrong but I know on the other Avalons it's one power bus so multiple PS are bad, never took a a851 apart.
6139  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Piper Wallet v2 and possible remake of v1 on: October 17, 2019, 08:19:10 PM
Long stream of profanity goes here.

So it does work and I was doing some more testing and am having an odd issue. Some of the QR codes do not work.
Phone flat out will not scan some them.

I have 3 thoughts (1) that since all I really did was slam in the old piper image that there is an issue with the printer driver and some of the codes are just too distorted to work or (2) similar to #1 but that the printer or paper is just a different size and that is causing the distortion or (3) the printer is just not happy.

Will do more testing, but I REALLY don't have the time and should be doing job related work. I just had to go play with something else before I went nuts on the job....
