The pool provides you with a block header to work on.  You double-hash the block header iteratively while incrementing the nonce, and return any results that are of higher difficulty than the pool difficulty to the pool.  If one of those results happens to also be higher difficulty than the network difficulty, you have solved the block for the pool.  The pool does not do any of the calculations associated with solving a block, so I don't see how you think the pool "solved" the block.

Yeah, but guess who got the 25 BTC + fees?

augusto, seems like you have now conceded that he did indeed FIND the block, BUT now are asking about payout in regards to the block, totally different subject.

Trick or Treat!  Cheesy

Batch #1 is arriving TODAY! Grin

Everyone that ordered on or before 9/22 should have their order shipped today and will be receiving an e-mail with tracking and refund amount.

Everyone else will ship in Batch #2 which either has shipped yesterday or is shipping today ( Still waiting for that tracking number Beastlymac! Cry )

Yea! Cheesy

Got my tracking number waiting for it to go live.

They need to make a brown version. That way I can have hashbrowns in the morning. Tongue

What day did you place/pay for your order?

Just shy of 24hrs on .98 my Saturn is Extremely Happy Grin

Here are the stats

At the server (most important in my eyes)

bitminer_knc   281.29 GH/s   59,519k (99.83%)   -  24hr average is 279GH/s

At CGminer (putty window)

(5s):285.7G (avg):284.5Gh/s | A:5484800  R:70784  HW:110301  WU:3982.7/m    -   HW error at 2% now (prior 20% HW errors)

Chip Temps

50.5c and 47c   (please note: With better firmware, TEMPS. SEEM TO PLAY LESS OF A ROLE.) In others words, Don't Fry your unit!

Could it be the bertmod screwing you guys up? I did not install it yet and mine works fine.

Nope, I have bertmod (with zpm fix) installed on mine and no problems.  Rock solid at 560-565GH/s.

mine is working great w/ bertmod zpm
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 29, 2013, 07:21:42 PM
So far with fw 0.9.8 my saturn went from 135GH/s to 203GH/s at the pool. That is the first time I've seen it hit 200GH/s. I wish I could get to 270+ like some of you guys are getting.

Hey, have you used bertmod to see what is going on in there? Post those stats, maybe give you some ideas. Hurry!
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 29, 2013, 07:20:18 PM
4HRS into .98 on Saturn

server pool stats:
miner_knc   280.53 GH/s   55,000k (99.83%)

beautiful hash rate.

cgminer stats:

294.0G/284.9Gh/s | A:898688 R:12032 HW:21756 WU:3995.8/

around 2% HW error , when 15%-20% prior

Room temp a hot 80F (about 27C) and chips are 51.5c and 53c

I hope this keeps up!

631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 29, 2013, 04:27:42 PM
Please post any changes in WU, that is really all that matters because that is what we are paid for.

After 1hr on .98

errors would immediately start in the 20% range and average down to about 16% but with .98 I am currently at around 7% HW error and most importantly on BTCG

miner_knc   273.96 GH/s   54,336k (99.83%)

I have never seen it this high......will post more later.

wow, also just noticed that after around 115 Million submitted shares I can finally say I am official and found a BLOCK for the BTC community. I was starting to feel left out....1 less on the bucket list.

Solo mining or pool?

Would be a losing battle if I was solo mining. I started on bitminter but most of my mining has been on BTC Guild.

.98  Have only been running it 10 Minutes, def. improvement compared to any other first 10 minutes, especially HW error rate.....temps look good.

Will report back in a few....Now I have a Saturn at its full potential. Thanks KNC and Ckolivas.....if this continues, ckolivas deserves a btc token of our appreciation.

OUCH!
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 28, 2013, 06:04:25 AM
I've just created a kncminer branch on my github and have imported their most current code and built my first binary for this. It is not a full firmware and the only thing users may note is the hashrate won't lie with this one, as it won't count hardware errors as hashrate. Also my hardware error count is significantly lower with this on the Saturn dev machine I was sent.

Here's a direct link to the binary:
http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/kncminer/cgminer

You'll have to ssh into the kncminer and copy and use that file directly. Hopefully the libraries all match between my dev environment and the default kncminer operating system which means the binary should just work if you run it like on any other OS.
I'm still learning linux, but would love to try this...
I'll let someone post a clear procedure before I try... ug.Thank you cklovas!

I second this.
ssh into your kncminer if you know its IP address is 192.168.1.X:

Code:
ssh -l root 192.168.1.X
screen -d -r
q
wget http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/kncminer/cgminer
chmod +x cgminer
./cgminer -c /config/cgminer.conf
q is to quit the already running cgminer

hello and thank you ckolivas (and kano if he was involved in anyway in this new release of cgminer).

2ndly, for those of US that find this new version of cgminer works/improves their mining, please don't forget to send some btc love to ckolivas. Lets keep these important members of the btc community well fed so their minds are tip top.

And finally, ckolivas, did you see anything in knc miners code that would cause lower hashing rates, not just report inaccurate HW errors?

thanks.

Just gonna put this out there, any jupiter or saturn owners want to sell me one of their hashing boards? i have a mercury and want to turn it into a saturn. some quick cash for you! give me a shout!
HAaaaaa....Yeah!...I'm lookin' at my sats, wanting boards now toooooooo! Smiley

just an FYI, I did try connecting the chip board to a different connector on the controller board.....didn't like it...had to back. Now it could have been to the firmware at the time but it could have been the controller board....but I would suggest checking the controller board that it works before spending only to find it doesn't work.

Wow, my first found block.  On Slush.  A few days ago, I just noticed.  Can't think of any other reason this one Found Block is listed on my profile page.  The block number 265105.

soy, I am approaching 100M submitted (plus others I had on bitminter) shares on BTCG and still no block found....lucky you! and so much for solo mining unless you have terrahashes
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 27, 2013, 06:16:10 PM
So final
The Jupiter work better when is harm or when is it cold?HuhHuh??
jelin, I think each saturn/jupiter has it's own individual quirks. So the changes you make will depend on your unit, of course with the intent of more hashing power which ultimately leads to more submitted work/shares to your mining op. WITHOUT destroying your miner. Ask away....or read up....last 50 so pages have some good stuff...

soy, phoenix1969, btc_uzr, (and all others I forget) WHO ARE THE UNOFFICIAL CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM for KNC,

I THANK YOU.

I know there many who have contributed their knowledge, expertise, and testing stats, you are included in that thank you.

I know there should be more honorable mentions, so please cont. to mention them in your replies....since this is the only true form of support we have currently. I do thank knc for their efforts as well, as they did surmount that mountain peak.
