question: do I have to re-backup my wallet each day after playing some dice games? since I see the winnings all come in as different addresses?
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LottoShares - Hard Fork at 10468 on: August 13, 2014, 06:25:26 PM
I see, that's what I figured.

I think 0% house edge is a great choice for now, to gain market share from all the web-based dice sites.

Thanks. I think we'll be able to keep it at 0% forever.

Having players helps increase demand for LTS, and improves liquidity. Also dice players may play the lottery occasionally too with their LTS.

Now can you make a profit long term at 0%?  I thought the house needed a slight edge?  Good luck!

But is there a "house" in LottoShares? Any player that want to play, will have to hold LottoShares, which simultaneously makes the player also a investor (house?).

I think this is pretty neat, true P2P gambling, where the player is also the "house".

629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LottoShares - Hard Fork at 10468 on: August 13, 2014, 05:03:49 PM
sweet!! haha 0% house edge, this is so great
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being killed by ethereum dump on: August 13, 2014, 03:50:50 PM
unless they dump slowly.
That's what a smart scam artist would do, after letting the hype build up the value for some time. Slowly trickle out your earnings so as to not set off any alarm bells that could slow the tide of profit from morons.

BTW Bitcoin has already begun its recovery from the low point of 525, back near 540 now.

Yeah, the ethereum people are surely not wasting any time. Their initial funding drive is barely a week old, and they are already cashing out thousands of Bitcoin.

http://www.panture.com/bitcoin-could-financially-liberate-citizens-under-isis-rule/

I see people from Iraq and Syria on the internet, it's not like it's shut down. When terrorists come to your down asking for a tax, just show them that you have nothing. All you have to do is hide your private key, or use an online wallet like Coinbase. Using something like PayPal or Western Union can be risky, as terrorists are aware of it, and those services don't like doing business with those citizens anyways for obvious reasons.

We need to focus on educating people in third world countries more, that is where bitcoin can do the most good.

It's not that easy, about 400 years ago when Manchurians invaded China. Manchurians made a law in occupied territory, that each month the Chinese must pay 3 bushels of grain per person (doesn't matter how you get it, you can buy it or grow it yourself) OR be beheaded.

ISIS could just adopt a similar policy.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being killed by ethereum dump on: August 13, 2014, 01:43:08 PM
ethereum is just Ripple scam 2.0, except they are cashing out way earlier than Ripple did.

ethereum founder's new mansion thank you for your donation.

I'm not even sure why centralized shit like Ripple or ethereum can even scam anyone from Bitcoin community.

That girl is complaining for hours about her  stuck 1 USD Cheesy

This one I could actually understand and support her on, because it was not her fault, it is a design problem, and one that I will support fixing. I don't think her post was about $1, but fixing a problem that potentially could cost other users more money/time wasted.
635  Local / 中文 (Chinese) / 为啥中国full node这么少? on: August 08, 2014, 06:43:14 PM

638  Economy / Speculation / Re: SecondMarket Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: August 08, 2014, 03:04:20 PM
So SecondMarket hasn't bought shit for over 3 months now.

Looks like it. Should probably worry those who believe that the listing of an ETF automatically means new price surge.

You may be right with that. But couldn't a real ETF be another investment vehicle serious investors want to use in order to get their Bitcoin? What are the advantages over SecondMarket in this case? (compared to e.g. the Winklevoss' COIN)
The advantage of an ETF is that it is accessible not only to high-net worth individuals, at your regular broker. I think it'll help a lot, but it will depend a lot on the circumstances of when it is launched because the sentiment/price environment will dictate demand.

Spot on (as usual). ETF listing will be a major chance, but it's just that: a chance. If demand doesn't match the offer at first, price will not do anything.

The *prospect* of the ETF is long priced in, the actual effect of buying pressure coming from it remains a possibility - a good one though, I'll admit.

Yeah I really think in the current state of Bitcoin that shuns all the good news that occur, an ETF would most likely cause a $15 rallye and then drop back $20... I guess they should launch in winter or when things have changed in Bitcoins ecosystem.

Nope, an ETF will change EVERYTHING. Before ETF, gold was $250 an ounce for a long time. After various gold ETF were created, it went to $1600 an ounce and is currently $1300. ETF will only have a BIGGER effect on Bitcoin, because gold already had a mature investment/trading community before ETF were created for it, yet it still had a huge effect on gold price.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 0.2 FEE!!!! ? am i missing something? on: August 08, 2014, 01:31:05 PM
If there's one criticism I have of blockchain.info it's that you have to manually input the fee so I can see how this could happen. It should be autofilled with the suggested amount based on what transaction you're attempting to send.

uh No you don't, in the BCI's default quick send mode, the appropriate fee is auto filled, you can't even edit it.

Now when you do want to edit the fee, you could go to custom send mode, which does allow you edit the fee, but you don't have to. If you just leave the fee blank, it automatically uses 0 fee, and if your coins are not qualified for 0 fee, BCI will warn you.
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 0.2 FEE!!!! ? am i missing something? on: August 08, 2014, 01:27:21 PM
holy shit, 11 pages for 0.2 BTC? it was your own mistake, just take the loss and learn from it. I have used BCI for 3 years and thousands of transactions, I never put the wrong fee. So that says something about how "smart" you are (since you claimed you are a "smart" person).
