621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: February 09, 2016, 01:16:25 PM
I have been familiar with this project even before it was taken up by this group. I did not have a negative experience with them (from the outside perspective), but as often happens with communities, fractures happen. These guys seem to approach this coin more as a business, so I can understand a crypto enthusiast is perhaps less enthusiastic. Smiley

I see my GMC in this case as a share in the future of this team and intent on holding. I appreciate feedback like that of windjc though, as it might make a good team even better Smiley

Monthly meeting February

Hey guys,

Due to some personal circumstances, Robert has to take care of some things, so the monthly meeting will most likely be next week. I hope he will be able to answer the questions in this thread soon, but some things might be delayed a bit. Let's give him a bit of space Smiley
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: February 07, 2016, 09:13:23 AM
I wanted to trade few coins but coinorium is down for few days already.

Is there any new contributors for second node?

Hey guys,

It is probably most important now to get a second node for HVC, so we're secure in case the other one goes down. These go for $50 at Bitnodes, so about 0.13 btc. I'm willing to pledge 0.05 btc. If you guys are willing to make up the other 0.08btc, I can arrange it.

If you want to help out you can send me a DM and donate bitcoin to 182uEWGyWfKVdAarfZebyQpXpkVBaJoca9

LETS DO THIS, GUYS!

I only received 0.01 btc so far
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: February 05, 2016, 09:49:45 AM
Any updates for GameCredits, had to look all the way back to Page 10 to find the thread  Huh

GMC has accomplished quite a lot until now and keeps delivering. I think it is safe to assume, they're working hard on the items in the roadmap:

I am mining since yesterday, everything seems to work well in the network. The website is good and helpful. I suggest you remove the exchange, as we all know it does not work anymore.
Good job axllht, thanks for the effort.-

Do you mine at a pool?
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FoldingCoin - Mine for medicine, Scrypt and SHA256 ASIC proof on: February 02, 2016, 11:45:33 AM

yes. searched until found Smiley
you might want to sign up to http://guidestar.org
I can find Foldingcoin there. if you sign up you can fill more data. would be nice...

Sounds like a good idea! I'll talk with Robert about it Smiley
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FoldingCoin - Mine for medicine, Scrypt and SHA256 ASIC proof on: February 02, 2016, 06:45:06 AM

You already found it yourself.Smiley I'll check with Robert later if we can put it on the site as well.

The pool and block explorer went down last night some time while I slept. Discovered it this morning. It has been reset, but I can't determine exactly what time it happened. Everything should be fine in about an hour.

GameCredits Blockchain down again ....... Angry

I assume you mean the block explorer?
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: January 30, 2016, 11:37:13 AM
is this still alive?

Yes. Blockchain is moving for almost 2 years, mining is active (POW coin), currently collecting funds for another node and trying to get it on exchange since cryptsy ended trading.

Heavycoin is a trendy coin IMO.
But op can make it more nicer if he processes these requests. Smiley

1. Make a request to YoBit for adding this coin in their exchange.

2. Adding a faucet for it. You may ask TekyBoy because he has recently started making faucets for many new coins Wink

3. You can contact Crypto-Games.net for adding your coin to their site for gambling.
Many gamblers frequent there.

1. Request sent, but I think current priority is another node.
2. There is faucet, explorer, rich list etc in my signature.
3. Site looks nice, I can't find any terms for adding new coins.

I also sent Yobit a request already, but they tend to be quite slow (even if you pay). I send Crypto-games a mail to ask them to add it. We already have a faucet at multifaucet.tk (http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?faucet=HVC), but an extra one would be nice.

If we manage to get the funding for an extra node, we could also consider starting a new topic for heavycoin, so we are able to update the links etc.

Just sent 0.01 btc to donation address

I can also donate 20.000 HVC for that cause. For example if someone would like to by HVC, he can send you 0.02 btc to that address and you can pm me to send him HVC, or better post here cause I don't log daily.

Great! So with the pledge of national we're at 0.07 btc now. 0.05 btc to go Smiley

Cryptsy = fail
HEAVY = escaped

Withdrawals of HVC from Cryptsy is working again (tested and confirmed). Those who have coins there should move them to their wallets.

This is huge/heavy stuff, a drowning man resurfaces and breath of a new life!!

Get'm out boys!!

We'll live to find another exchange Wink

2 million HVC off Cryptsy, at least 8 million more to go.

You can find wallet here:

4 Wallet installations from original site http://heavycoin.github.io/download.html (now not available for download).  I download it using archive org and wayback machine, can be found on link - https://mega.nz/#!tMEiTSwL!y39xLaZQr0Dr-G-O7lLCumxKW_xokgEbrIIslYnOyCo

file contains:
heavycoin-1.3-win32.zip
heavycoin-1.3-osx-mavericks.zip
heavycoin-1.3-debian-7.tar.gz
heavycoin-1.3-ubuntu-13.10.tar.gz
+ screenshot of download page because sha256 signatures.

I also managed to get mine out Smiley

At this point, we're basically back at square one and without some real effort that is exactly where this will stay.

I asked Cryptopia to add the coin, but they don't want to add coins with ICO. Bleutrade has not responded yet, so maybe they will add it. We can also get Yobit to add the coin for 0.1 btc. Anybody willing to contribute?

Thinking about the future of this coin it might be an opportunity to combine some of the HVC funds of people to attract developers with a "post-mine". Perhaps getting a collected pool of HVC will persuade some people to take this to the next level. Currently we're at about 88 million coins, so we've got a long way to go before we reach the 128 million HVC.

What do you guys think?

Here's a major disaster in the making . . . but not until a lot of people are screwed over first.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/r-cev-takes-on-bitcoin-with-launch-of-private-distributed-ledger-pilot-1453321957

I say, if you think the reason we all got screwed was because the banks didn’t have block chain technology then go for it!  Personally , I don’t.

Those bastards want to keep controlling us!

By a consortium of bankers with a "a private 'permissioned' blockchain" based on ethereum!

Mike Hearn just lost all credibility.

Banks consider the blockchain just as a lowcost way to manage their books. In the short run it will enable the innovators to push the old banks out of the market, but on the long run it will be easier for people to start their own banks and compete with the innovators.

The centralized blockchains that are created as a result of this will only be able to survive if regulation is strict and joining a centralized one gives people an advantage over decentralized ones. They managed to do it with music, so I believe the banks might succeed. I just hope the decentralized mass will win in the end, but stakes are high.

Hearn is a sell-out, because he probably made the same assumptions and decided to go for the big money on the short run...

While we are making our case to Poloniex, does anybody have any suggestions for alternative exchanges?  I like Bittrex but I really want us to have more than one exchange.

I really like Cryptopia as an upcoming exchange. They have a lot of extra features and you can get your coin in for the price of about 1 btc or by voting.
