@opentoe:

I have the Corsair SP120's in push/pull, and I can say these are definitely not ideal, as they can only keep temperatures in the low 60's when the S5 is downclocked to about 325, for an ambient temperature of about 16.

Note: The Noctua NF-F12 2000, has higher airflow, higher static pressure, at lower rpm's, and lower noise. It is simply a much better fan than the Corsair, period. They do not come cheap though.  Cheesy

It's likely that it's just that MyMonero hasn't been updated to work with the replacement seed words, or something like that.

@elgimpo:

The auto optimize will only split your block at the time that it stakes, and will attempt to split/combine your outputs to match the target size (usually 618 if you've left it at default). With a single 10K block size, your stake reward will be 16.18 XQN. If you had instead 2x 5K blocks, your potential reward would be 2x 16.18. So you see, with a single, massive block, you might stake faster, but you're earning a lot less. You are also more affected by luck/variance, since you have a single block, versus many blocks.

My recommendation: take the plunge and split your 10K block into a few with smaller sizes: 10x 1K would be ok, or even 5x 2K if you want to go "large". Doing this now will drop your accumulated coin age, but it is still the best move. From then onwards, the auto optimizer will keep your blocks at ~ ideal sizes. Most likely you'll be waiting a good few days to earn a stake.

625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 10MHASH CCminer modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernals by SP. on: March 02, 2015, 08:26:49 PM
The crash is because windows tries to allocate a big chunk of memory. I am trying to build in x64 now to check if it works with -l 8x60

edit: Crashed with a bluescreen. -l 8x30 works and the speed is around 5h/s slower than the 32bit build

Increasing the delay on the driver check (or disabling it entirely) as I posted about above, allows for the memory allocation to succeed without crashing. I have best performance with the x86 build as well.

I get 200-227H/s on a standard clocked 750ti with 8x30.  Latest version of the sourcecode

What hashrates did you get?

I have about 265~285 h/s with factory overclocked 750 TI and using 8x60.
Hashrate fluctuates quite a bit for me.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 10MHASH CCminer modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernals by SP. on: March 02, 2015, 07:13:36 PM
I believe you just need to disable the driver checking (or make the check interval larger):
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff569918%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

My working setup was to just set TdrLevel off (zero).
A more conservative launch value is 8x30 (though 8x60 does work best for me).

Cheers!

Hello, hope everybody had a good weekend.  Last week we made good progress on the development front and had a number of stability fixes that tested out well.  I'll probably do another Recall video tomorrow, a little overtired at the moment, better to do it when I'm fresh Smiley  Got our PR draft back late last week, will get that edited and revised this week.  Have had a lot of requests for chess, so I'll be looking at doing something like NeuroChess, although that will probably be something queued up down the road a bit in another week or two.  Will probably drop another public testnet build in the next day or two.

Super! Thanks for the update CedricQuotient!
Apologies for the non-stop rantings about chess, I confess that I'm a big fan of the game  Wink

Damn XQN is really taking some hits... No updates ?

The significant updates affecting Quotient/XQN, rely on development progress on Sapience/XAI. Very briefly, CedricQuotient provided new testnet binaries just a day or two ago (mostly bug fixes), and coding continues full steam ahead. Impatient ones, be gone  Wink

can anyone tell me what should be the .bat file for GTX 970 to mine whirlcoinx , please

Should just be:

ccminer.exe -a whirlpoolx -o pool:port -u user.worker -p password

Happy Mining!

Given the spreads, maybe just large investors protecting their holding from senseless dumps, maybe just new people that want to claim a position in XAI but don't want to pay for the ask price. Just wild guesses though. The people with the BTC on those orders are the only ones that really know  Cheesy

trying the android wallet. it looks like it was rushed

Like I said, it has some visual artifacts. This is not some "rush job", it is the full desktop wallet, but compiled for Android. It is not a wallet specifically built for mobile devices or touch interfaces at this point.

Great ... Thanks!
Wondering how well it works and if it stakes properly.

Apart from some visual artifacts from resizing to a smaller screen (which I hear will be fixed at some point), it should work just fine. I haven't tried this one myself, but I know that people using the one for Sapience/XAI, were able to stake without any issues. The only trouble I'd anticipate, is that given the high difficulty on XQN staking, you might need to have the wallet open/staking at all times (for better stake chances), and I can only guess that doing so might drain your battery pretty quick.

What quanty of blocks is good to use?? i keep over 3k HYP blocks but more than 30 days and not staking ..... Huh Huh Huh

i updated the wallet in good time of fork, maybe need bigger blocks to stake now.

@infovortice2013:

I've had my blocks sized from 4K up to 5K over the past month, and it's served me well, with most of my block staking around 15 days of age. I think that you're ok with 3K sizes, but your blocks will take longer to stake, as you are seeing. Remember also that luck plays a big factor in staking, so one or a few blocks taking extra long, is nothing extraordinary.

My personal recommendation for sizing today (for new/fresh blocks) is around 5K to 6K.
Happy Staking!

Does the POS interest ever slow down at some point or does it just go on forever at that percentage rate?

The effective PoS rate is already limited, since most times (if not always), people are hitting capped rewards (the max stake of 16.18). What this means is that the effective stake percentage reached by the network, will most times be much less than 1618%. With every day that goes by, the amount of new coins generated, is actually a smaller and smaller percentage of the total emission, due to this precise cap.

Sadly, it was also that one of the initial crowd fund investors had his PC compromised. He lost all of his XAI, XQN, and other coins in the process. I was tracing back his XQN address earlier, and found that I bought a big chunk of his XQN at bitty, so the scammers that got hold of his coins, have dumped in the past 48 hours or so.

Be extremely careful with any wallets you decide to install. The suspect wallet was for some "hansa" coin IIRC, but he has not confirmed what was the effective source for the malware yet. Be cautions also with any OTC offers that you get on IRC. There is a series of scammers scouting the channels every single day...  Sad

im new here can anyone gve a simple explanation on what is the relation of xqn to xai?

In case you haven't already, you should really take the time to read both the XQN & XAI papers:
Quotient/XQN Paper Brief
Sapience/XAI Paper Brief

The very short of it is:
Sapience/XAI aims to deliver an intelligent blockchain, providing computation services & data storage via neural nodes on the Sapience/XAI network. Quotient/XQN aims to deliver algorithmic trading tools, and these tools will rely on Sapience/XAI for the intelligence backend.
The scope for Quotient/XQN is relatively small when compared to Sapience/XAI, since the latter can be used to power smart apps of virtually any kind and nature, while Quotient/XQN focuses specifically on a trading oriented toolset.

Happy Staking!

I have had more than a couple of people asking me about the IBTP p2p connectivity I demonstrated with LiteCoin and Shadow.  Apparently some folks are under the mistaken impression that this is using some sort of PROXY server simply because I had pointed it at my localhost IP.

THERE IS NO PROXY in this solution.  It is a DIRECT connection using out-of-the-box Bitcoin protocol features.  IT IS JUST BITCOIN.

This is enabled in the testnet build that was already released.  You can grab a LiteCoin wallet, put an addnode=yourip:30893 in your litecoin.conf file, fire it up on litecoin testnet and you will see the LiteCoin peer show up in getpeerinfo in your Sapience AIFX testnet wallet.  Can do the same with Shadow as well.  At some point we will look at how we want to go about including coins in XaiNet.

Also wanted to point out that we will be able to offer a XaiWire encrypted P2P messaging solution over the out-of-the-box Bitcoin communications channel using IBTP.  This is an "enabling technology" that will allow us to build more exciting applications on top of our advanced blockchain platform.

No friggin proxy required.  Thank you very much.  Cheesy

Thanks for the explanations CedricQuotient, does look that a few people either a) don't understand what's going on at all, or b) they generally understand and are misrepresenting things to drive their own agendas. It is great that we finally have a project that leverages the existing fundamental framework and builds (much) smarter tools, (much) smarter applications on top!

I am particularly excited for the massive potential of the machine learning aspect coupled with the cost effective Sapience platform servicing the necessary data gathering & distributed computation, but I see how the same backend could be hosting all sort of different services & contracts between a wider range of connected currencies. Much to look forward to!

Happy coding!  Wink
