/r/Bitcoin is preaching to the choir, I urge you all to reddit up on this quickly http://www.reddit.com/r/Libertarian/comments/l5npp/free_state_project_giving_away_money_to_raise/  as I am not sure how /r/Libertarian takes to strangers posting links in their section :p

BladeMcCool is the coolest Bitcointalk member with such a low post count ratio.  Very cool phone system set up, just read about it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=43734.0

"I promise I'm not going to scam anyone", classic.
624  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 1000 BTC for getting a major business to accept Bitcoin on: October 09, 2011, 02:29:06 AM
sirius, would a non-profit qualify? Kiva.org seems interested.

I missed that, Kiva would be pretty big, I can't wait to see a Bitcoin Accepted Here button on that site.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coordinated effort to get merchants to use bitcoin on: October 09, 2011, 02:23:42 AM
Spamming is not good. But make every single bitcoiner write a person-to-person letter to the merchants, that's pretty good.

I think I see what he is saying, and it wouldn't be spamming, but there would have to be a good way to let a person know that 'x' amount of users want them to accept whatever it is form of payment.

I would also cut the automated emailing portion after a few days, and actually write an email after a few days explaining everything rather than having it automated.  Tailor that email to their business type by noting specific things about Bitcoin and their specific business.

If somehow you could collaborate with the 1000btc business bounty and this idea http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/l0o54/bounty_1000_btc_for_getting_a_major_business_to/
... or maybe close this thread and get that 1000btc, I'm sure you could split it with the business.

The only reason we don't hear about more hacks on mtGox is because people are still doing it and getting rich off of it.
Give us the link then instead of making outrageous claims.
I would accept a sound theory if no link is available, but I was going to reply with something similar.

So something like http://www.youtipit.org/en/faq#whatisescrowtipit , except with the landing page geared toward business speak?

Most anything is possible.

I like this guy on /r/Bitcoin who promotes the RoBoTs theory pretty heavily http://www.reddit.com/user/porkchips , which has the goal to eliminate exchanges.
631  Other / Off-topic / Re: SCAVENGER HUNT - 10BTC PRIZE! on: October 08, 2011, 11:56:20 PM
Seems like fun.

The reason I am asked, is because I have seen online scavenger hunts done this way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTmyDm3fW4I which is good entertainment for viewers, but that would require setting up a ustream or justintv account and other such stuff that is far too much investment.

If someone wants to sponsor me and split the winnings, I'm down.  I guarantee no win, but I am the best so I'll win.

Is it things we find online?  Things in our homes that we need to take pictures of?  Examples of possible items that would show up please.
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [PRESS RELEASE] Free State Project Now Accepting Bitcoins on: October 08, 2011, 09:31:23 PM
Dude, awesome, this is big.  Lots of new holders of Bitcoin coming up Smiley
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Business cards to present Bitcoin to Occupy groups. on: October 08, 2011, 09:29:46 PM
Bitcoin is a pyramid scheme on the way down.
Who is at the top of the pyramid?   Is this just a big scheme to pay for persons retirement down the line?  Is it possible for this scheme to pick up steam and actually work if it has enough users?  I mean, it worked for the AMWAY company, people consider them legit now.
635  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin7.com - Brand new exchange market! on: October 08, 2011, 09:15:35 PM

So two out of three, though Intersango is claiming different.

I do wonder when that Crypto X is going to open, at the least they can look on all these other errors in the scams and make the one ultimate scam.
636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEW Major chain restaurant to accept Bitcoins? on: October 08, 2011, 04:26:30 PM
I really do have to wonder what sort of advantage paying via Bitcoin has at a restaurant.

I think it is more or less the end game being the ability to pull out my cell phone and have a qr code that I scan or that is scanned, transaction done, less fees than credit card, the most instant transaction you can get.

I like this idea, park right in PayPal's front lawn.
638  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Price Predictions on: October 08, 2011, 03:01:20 PM
July - $35
Aug - $45
Sep - $50
Oct - $50
Nov - $45
Dec - $35
Jan - $25

I see a jump in the near future, but that will pop and fizzle down to a steady 20 to 30 per Coin.  My charting is boring, but that is because I see realistic sways in the price of btc until security is beefed up.  Unexpected events I always see as swaying the price higher, even if it seems as though there is bad news out there, most people tend to stick with the coin I've noticed, with good reason.

What a moran.

People in other threads are warning about giving them the desired information to get you $/€/BTC back.

Well you have to admit, a good point here is made

Also on the one hand:  Our security was so piss poor that we go hacked and lost a bunch of your money - sorry guys.  We do not have the resources to fix the holes in our security so we are leaving town.

On the other hand:  Give us a bunch of personal information - we promise that even though we admit we have done nothing to fix the holes in our security your information is safe with us, no, really, we are serious.

It sucks because if I was a Coinotron user, I would be pretty upset my account would be thrown into a bet :/
