tssk i wanted to change to mining onto litecoin or similar coins
however cgminer and bfgminer simply crash again

i used as command bfgminer --scrypt -I13 and this error shows when start the 32 bit version

sadly i can not get my machine to run either cgminer or bfgminer at any of the elephant or litecoin pools
somehow all miners crash except reaper but thats an old miner not very good anymore
624  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA GPU overc monit fanspd RPC linux/win/osx/mip/r-pi 3.3.1 on: July 16, 2013, 10:15:27 PM
I want to use my 7970 machines for mining on ltc since they are useless now on btc for that i have a small usb devices running fine on cgminer

So i wanted to run another instance of cgminer pure solo mining with litecoin
But whatever i do it simply does not start
the weirdest of all is when i take the old reaper it runs ok and found a block

my conf in use :

625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ElephantCoin - ELP - The new crypto coin with superblocks is Launched! on: July 16, 2013, 08:36:33 PM
nah i changed that a few times to see if that was causing the problems in the coin conf i set the rpcport to the same port
do not forget reaper does run fine and made 4 blocks in the time it ran
however cgminer or bfgminer are much easier to control especially when i am at work on another spot
and secondly i think they can get more hashpower out of the card

I simply do not understand why cgminer and bfgminer stop working while reaper work without an issue
the error is related to not finding longpolling but i can not find any option to disable longpoll checking

i wanted to try run this on my pc in solo
but the weird part is i can't get cgminer 3.3.1 to run
it simply fails with pool not responding and longpoll error

the amazing thing is old reaper does run

627  Other / Archival / Re: Mining pools list on: July 14, 2013, 09:28:43 AM
I am not sure if maxbtc.com should be in the list as a active pool
Since the pool op not responding and almost no real activity is on the pool anymore
I send a message about problems and untill now did not get any answer.
Nothing gets updated regarding the site its all the same old site as it was when it started.

I liked the pool alot because it stats, service and so on are great.
But the lack of a active operator and implementation of new tech like stratum spoils it so long as this is not changing i would avoid to use it
628  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [NR 1] Triplemining.com <> BIG jackpot every week <> on: July 13, 2013, 01:40:36 AM
Euhm can not access triplemining website at all ??
The miner running balanced mining over 3 pools seems to have no issue
I like to add also that alot of so called co miners never ever mined longer then a few days or even seen them ever do anything
I also am missing a tool to kick non existing miners from the list of users on the sub pools
But to be honest i do not really trust the so called bonus also, i see it on names which i never ever seen in the miners list
And as long as i have mined on the pool never got the bonus also, even though i was long time one of the bigger miners
On the other hand i do not think the subpool system works besides for botnet users which can add hundreds of pc owners to the user lists making it easier to get the bonus
Since they all are in my few all fake users who make a change on that bonus.
Tell me who in his right mind does cpu mining with current difficulty on btc.... NOBODY

629  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] Running cgminer/bfgminer on Synology NAS on: July 13, 2013, 01:06:17 AM
Ok the first i got and worked well

wget http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/cross/unstable/libidn_1.25-1_arm.ipk

but the second did error again out

DiskStation> ipkg install -verbose_wget wget-ssl
Installing wget-ssl (1.12-2) to root...
Nothing to be done
An error ocurred, return value: 1.
Collected errors:
ERROR: The following packages conflict with wget-ssl:
         wget

So i just installed the succesfull received package which now ended succesfull
I see clearly that somehow for wget it message nothing to be done but for the wget-ssl it fails.
630  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] Running cgminer/bfgminer on Synology NAS on: July 12, 2013, 06:50:27 PM
No no lol your missing the point

crosstools package totally not exits from the packages

goto the link provided as in my post and browse through the packages it is not there

the second error is because it can not find the needed crosstools

hence it error out

http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/ try to find the crosstools
631  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] Running cgminer/bfgminer on Synology NAS on: July 12, 2013, 02:47:23 PM
As i was running the guide i got into some errors fairly quick

first error is :

Configuring tcl
Configuring zlib
An error ocurred, return value: 1.
Collected errors:
Cannot find package crosstool-native.
Check the spelling or perhaps run 'ipkg update'
ERROR: The following packages conflict with wget-ssl:
         wget
DiskStation> ipkg update
Downloading http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/cross/unstable
/Packages.gz
Inflating http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/cross/unstable/P
ackages.gz
Updated list of available packages in /opt/lib/ipkg/lists/cross
Successfully terminated.

I tried again the update but it did not do anything other then after the reboot

second error comes when i try :
DiskStation> pkg-config --libs libcurl
Unknown keyword 'URL' in '/opt/lib/pkgconfig/libcurl.pc'

any and all other commands went fine and worked as should i seen no other errors
so i think the crosstool-native is not found or the name is wrong
I checked the page where the file should be and its not present at all

632  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.1.2: modular ASIC/FPGA, GBT, Strtm, RPC, Lnx/OpnWrt/PPA/W64, BFLSC on: July 11, 2013, 03:46:26 PM
adding a queue size of 254 ultimately ends up the same in time bfg starts giving the messages as mentioned in my previous post
i got the jala running as well on bfgminer 3.1.2 and guess what lol after a day running fine it also started giving the same message even with a queue size of 254
however still not sure why bfg crashes sometimes without any message whats wrong

adding the following commands to the startup batch seems to helped me get it to run more stable but does not solve the underrun messages

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
633  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Are BFL Jalapeņos worth it? on: July 10, 2013, 11:28:58 AM
Is jalapeno worth it : NO
you might end up with such a crap device as i have i sure as hell made a huge mistake doing business with bfl
the jalapeno i received looked ok when it started up and showed a 6000 Mh/s initial hash speed
every time i checked i saw bigger hw error numbers and the hashing speed kept going down and still is going down.
after a few hours i had dropped to 4700 Mh on average and today several days later is only makes 4400 Mh

lots of idiots say send it to BFL which most of the time not even respond to emails
they all forget that i live in the netherlands and believe me if they would ever respond normal i would loose another half year or more to get either the same crap back or get a replacement if i would ever get anything back
if i would have lived in the usa i would have sued them the second they did respond the way they did

Second soon the difficulty (about 2 to 3 days) goes up another 2 million at least so the time to get a block will be insane soon as well
So mining on small devices will get you maybe your investment in the device back
But if you want to get some money out of mining you need ASICMINER shares or a huge asic miner which does a big deal more on hash powers then what bfl is selling
634  Local / Mining (Nederlands) / Re: BFL 2GH/S upgrade voor Jalapeno on: July 10, 2013, 11:08:48 AM

635  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Experimenting with Jalapeno firmware... on: July 09, 2013, 09:25:19 PM
I just state that i fear if i try this with the allready bad performing device, it will make things worse instead it gives better hashes

Also tom99 you assumed incorrect my order was a sc single which would do 30Gh not a jalapeno and i paid enough to get 10 jalapeno's
Second its no use to contact them they simply refuse to listen nor answer and the costs for sending it back will up the losses even more

636  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Experimenting with Jalapeno firmware... on: July 09, 2013, 08:55:24 PM
Well the crap jala i received from those bfl people is prolly not even worth trying to pump up

Which placed the very bad experience with BFL to an absolute -251 kelvin in my view

When it came out of the box it ran for a few minutes at 6000 Mh then all of a sudden it kept going down steadily
While the hashrate is going down the error rate keeps creeping up the scale

At the moment i get between 3900 to 4700 Mh, mostly around 4300

So even on stock this thing produces enough amounts of errors

While the temp according the readout not exceed 31 c, which looks to me cool enough to get decent results

Nevertheless to buy a programmer and spend lots of money just to try up one bad jala a bit might even spoil the short life this thing probably have even more
Which look to me the same choice as doing business with BFL.

637  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.1.2: modular ASIC/FPGA, GBT, Strtm, RPC, Lnx/OpnWrt/PPA/W64, BFLSC on: July 09, 2013, 07:39:43 PM
well after adding the queue to 64 in the config i see it still fail [ staged work underrun error ] still given and constant

i wonder if its normal to need a buffer so big with just 2 x 7970 which do run on version 3.1.1 with a queue size of 0

anyway upped the queue to massive 254 to see how that runs

i get the feeling the program is slightly faster on these gpu's even while they are heavy underclocked

currently testing bfg 3.1.2 on 2 x 7970 and am getting staged work underrun; not automatically increasing above 14 after it kept increasing the number till 14
any paramater which i can set in the config to give it more headroom ?
weird enough can not get 3.1.2 to run with the small jala, switched back to 3.1.1 which seems to run flawless
might have set wrong parameters in the .conf since i saw one posting his jala runs fine with 3.1.2
Are you using .conf to run bfg or do you run it plain with command line startup
Anyway when i start 3.1.2 it instant crash on my x64 win8
