Or just a simple way to make us hesitate in buying the S7/A6 ;-)
Stopped me from buying several more miners. What's everyone's best guess on a competitor release date of a 16-14nm machine?

Block by Xircom with 232THs! Welcome to the Acclaim Board with your first kano block!
Everytime we hit a block I check to see if I finally got one lol. I want my first Kano block.

I live in a very low humidity area. I run a 3200 cfm swamp cooler in the front while venting out the back. Works very well and my humidity in the warehouse sits around 23%.

I worded that badly, I realize kano and slush are open to the public, "I currently mine kano" . I know there are private pools out there, I was wondering if they had any benefit over public pools like Kano and slush.

If I'm understanding things correctly, the are pools like Kano and slush that you can only join by invitation. They aren't open to just anyone.

You might also have to consider that your AC unit needs repair. I have seen AC type units that will "freeze the coils" when the refrigerant inside is "low". I don't really understand why that happens, nor the specifics, but I had a de-humidifier that had lost some refrigerant, and it would "ice up" even when the temp was above 70F. It wasn't cold temps that mattered in that case.
How new is your AC unit?
I found it completely counter-intuitive that low refrigerant could yield ice on the coils, but some Google research may explain it better. It's still confusing to me.
You may be right. The windows unit is at least 12-15 years old but was rarely used and has been under the house for the last 10 years approximately completely unused. I may go to a hardware store and get one of those things that will allow you to recharge/top-off the coolant in the AC (If this unit allows it. I will check it out tomorrow.) It could certainly have leaked out after all those years. But when the unit is operating normally without any icing, it puts out some amazingly cold air. It's an old Kenmore 5,000 something BTU unit. Thanks for the idea! With a unit that old verify it runs on the R-134 coolant before filling. I'd recommend the can that also contains compressor oil.

I'm a newbie with a lot of this. Are there any advantages to private pools vs public? Thanks in advance for your input.

Anyone been able to try this yet? I tried contacting them yesterday, but haven't heard back yet.

Rumour has it that Bitmain is planning on releasing S7-F0 model for the next batch.
How often do they release new batches? his comment of an s7-f0 is a joke. saying that the current version (16) is the s7-f1 (one fan unit) with the s7-f0 (being 0 fans). but as far as batches. they seem to have a new batch lately every 2-3 weeks. Seems to be every production run is a new batch. ie they have 1000 made and thats 1 batch. then another 1000 and thats another batch. Thanks for the clarification. I totally fell for it.

There are quite a few people here who give these coupons away.

Any word on the specs? How often do they release new batches?

alright just getting back into things with a antminer s4. I used to mine on slush but from what ive noticed slush is not really decent anymore. Doing some reading up and kano seems like a dude I can support and in turn receive support. So im joining the pool, only question is should I set my difficulty to 2048? Is that still applicable with the latest s4 firmware?
The simple answer is, unless there's a problem with your firmware, there's no need to set the work diff on the web site. Setting it on the web site will only take effect if you set it above the pool's calculated value. If there is a problem with the firmware then avoid using a power of 2 like 2048 - instead use a little higher e.g. 2052 As usual, remember that the work difficulty has no effect on your reward other than variance. Higher diff means higher variance, but not much of an effect unless you make it a lot high e.g. if you set it 10x higher. Appreciate the answer, and I am letting the server decide then. As far as I am aware I dont think there is an issue with the s4 firmware other than not being great, like it freaking out when I set it to a static IP. And it changing IPs every few minitues on DHCP. And running 4.8.0 miner. Not sure what kind of router you have but some routers allow you to assign a specific DHCP address to a device. That way your S4s stay on DHCP and each time they request a new IP, the router sends the same one they had last time. My Cisco/Linksys E3000 can do this and it works great. I run a Netgear R6700 router, and am able to assign DHCP addresses to specific devices so they don't change over time. I can also open the ports for a full node. Anyone else notice how Slush is simply not finding blocks? I sort of keep an eye on it as I used to mine there some time ago before coming here. I now understand, though, that it's due to Kano and CK's sharp work that this pool is performing better, all luck aside. You can find good answers here. I mined slush before coming here and I've noticed the same thing. I wonder what is going on.

I purchased the professional edition today. I have 20 bitcoin miners on the same pool, and it says I can only monitor 10? Am I doing something wrong?

I think bitfury should at least update the thread they started. People such as myself aren't purchasing new hardware in anticipation of the new chips. I'm also curious if bitmain are blowing out their new single fan s7, to make room for something new they have coming. Either way bitfury IMHO owes us some sort of explanation.
They owe US nothing,nada,zilch.........we are the last folks on their mind & have been since 2013 I'm sure they have been in communication with the wealthy VC investors who will receive their miners & rewards very soon Seems pointless to start a thread like this, then leave everyone hanging. Well, I started this thread. I'd say its pointless to go global PR blasts from your expensive tier 1 PR agency, when you're going to seemingly go back on its content and then go dark for 6 months. Good point

My electric is 0.06KWH in USD if anyone wants me to host stuff i'm more then happy to I wont charge much extra to add it in my cluster of miners.
I'd do the same thing, I've got plenty of warehouse space, climate controlled and. 065 power. I know when I was mining at home my .12 power sucked to much profit.

I have four antminers currently on NiceHash. I recently learned that NiceHash may be paying below what I could get on Kano.
Please comment. Thanks.
Maybe I can be a winner with my 3.1 THs?
I switched to Kano two weeks ago and have loved it. Averaging more blocks than average. Can't complain about it at all.

@ mtmining2
try fan speeds 65 to 70% was top speed on batch 1 to batch 15
so
clock the gear to freq 500 fans to 70% check temps under 65 c fan rpms about 5500 and errors less then 0.0100 clock the gear to freq 525 fans to 70% check temps under 65 c fan rpms about 5500 and errors less then 0.0100
see how high you can go with freq and keep temps under 65 c see what you need to get fan to do 5500 rpm as this new delta rates 6000 rpm
buying this to think you will certainly do freq 700 is foolish
adding a second fan looks like a project but possible.
@ generalt finally tested the 2 gpus will send a pm
Won't you lose significant hashing power by dropping the frequency to 500. Thus reducing bitcoin profit?
