Ok, I understand what you are saying. However, I still like maintaining my own site, but if I figure anything out, I will make sure to post it on that thread.
642  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faucet List: Get Some Free Bitcoins on: May 13, 2013, 09:39:33 PM
P.S. Would anyone use it (whose not currently using it), if I were to post all the links here instead of linking to the blog containing them?

Your post would be removed because there is already a thread with a maintained list of verified free bitcoin sites:

Free Bitcoin Sites ( newbie version, including newbie lotto )
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90718

Oh, I see. What if I were to make my own thread but I would make it more comprehensive than that list which for example if it has 30 free bitcoin sites, I would make like 100+?
643  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Average payout with 5 GH/s + Slush's Pool on: May 13, 2013, 09:35:49 PM
They use around 40w from what I've heard. If you get get your hands on one right now then you would get 1/3 of a btc a day but every 2 weeks you wait, it gets harder and harder and if you order one now it would take much longer to get your money back by the time you received it.

648  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling ripple 11k --> 1 BTC on: May 13, 2013, 06:10:28 PM
Belongs in the marketplace section not the newbie forum. Just because your not out of newbie status doesn't mean you post it in this forum.
649  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you buy BTC with debit card? on: May 13, 2013, 06:09:33 PM
I have a debit card but not a credit card and I use the debit card as a credit card so if you can buy it with a credit card, then you will also be able to buy bitcoins with a debit card.

I agree with what your saying. I think people should work in order to try and associate more legiminate business's and such with this. I think this is just because it is new and slowly growing.
651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to enable the PMs? on: May 13, 2013, 06:08:00 PM
Read the rules. I post for PM's, 5 posts & 4 hours online for leaving newbie status. It shouldn't take you long, the group buy will remain open.

653  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it worth installing a 6850 into my mining rig? on: May 13, 2013, 06:05:49 PM
Simple:

Calculate the Cost
Calculate the Hashrate
Calculate the Money You would Make
Calculate the Difficulty Increase
Calculate Electricity Cost

See if you would make money.
654  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Award of coins, same block twice ? on: May 13, 2013, 06:05:09 PM
Huh... I'm pretty sure they use units of time small enough that no two people will ever break apart a block at the exact same time, there will always be a time difference that will make it so it doesn't work like that.
655  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Miners - What speed are you getting? on: May 13, 2013, 06:04:18 PM
For bitcoins that is extremely slow. I am mining on a laptop and getting 31mh/s or 31,000kh/s... though its a high end Alienware. Most people with high end multiple GPU miners get 2.0gh/s or 2,000,000kh/s.
656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is pool mining LTC on a laptop CPU a bad idea? on: May 13, 2013, 04:43:29 PM
Is pool mining LTC on a laptop CPU a bad idea? I know the hashrate will be incredibly low, but will it do damage to the CPU / laptop? Is it just a cooling issue or are there other factors which make this a bad idea? Many thanks Smiley

Depends on your laptop. I have an Alienware m14x with a high end i7 and top notch cooling system and when I mine my CPU hits 90 celcius (the max is 105) with the fun running max so be careful. If you have like a mac book pro don't do it.
657  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Redneck Guide to Cpu Mining Litecoin. on: May 13, 2013, 04:31:05 PM
So a litecoin in 200 days. Utterly not worth it and I can't GPU mine because of the opencl.dll problem. Thanks anyway for the guide though, at least I've got some experience.

No it is not worth it as you will be getting less than $0.02/day... unless you just want to test out mining to see how it works. Try and fix your opencl.dll problem (guides online) and then you can GPU mine.
658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Redneck Guide to Cpu Mining Litecoin. on: May 13, 2013, 04:27:55 PM
My CPU gives me 40kh/s which isn't very good but its a laptop and I'm testing out mining so its useful for me. Thanks for taking your time to make this guide ofr us.
659  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can the BFL ASIC miners run off a laptop since they are powered by USB? on: May 13, 2013, 04:26:49 PM
Originally it probably could however now the power requirements have increased and as a result it comes with its own power supply so as a result that is no longer possible to do anymore.
660  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's Hard to doing Business in This Forum if we are Newbie on: May 13, 2013, 04:23:50 PM
You are not labelled a scammer until the scammer tag appears by your name. You need to do business taking some risk (go first) or use escrow in order to build up your reputation and then you can get into doing more business.
