Anyone been able to compile from source on an Intel platform with Ubuntu / simular? I keep running into errors trying myself, but don't know enough to find the issue.
Edit - two issues found so far,
/src/leveldb/build_detect_platform has permissions set incorrectly, chmod 755 fixes this..
compiling still fails, apparently the entire directory of /src/obj/* is missing entirely from the posted source. Substituting that directory from another coin source allows compiling to complete, but the finished product takes attributes from the substituted coin's code.. :/ don't think I can fix that without proper source code being posted
create an obj dir under src may help, then compile again. I saw a few coin code checked in without this dir, while it is needed for the compilation (it will be an empty dir anyway even if it is checked in, as you will need to create obj files in compilation).

I am getting PoS blocks now...great!
Any manual about on how to do PoS with SAV? Or is it the exact same as for PPC? If you hold the coins for certain time, and then start the qt client, the built-in miner should mine the PoS blocks based the accumulated coin-day, for those coins held above a certain threshold. The blocks will be created with certain credits ("interest"), add to the current blocks, and propagate through the network. After maturity, the "interest" will be added to your total.

Weekend Update!I received word last night from our favorite feline friend that the remainder of our coupon units are en route to me. Due to US holiday, I expect delivery mid next week, but have no tracking number to back up that assumption. There is a reason I got out of the reseller game; because this is a difficult position to be in. How can I, in good conscious, continue to sell these units at ฿0.195 when they've been delayed and when you can get them from other group buys for ฿0.18 (plus shipping)!? Beyond frustrated right now, but I'm hoping friedcat sees that and works with me on the cost of these final discounted units that have been significantly delayed so I can extend you last lot a little discount that you deserve. For units that already shipped, I think the previous price was fair (you'll have had those 2-3 weeks before others, which means a lot, considering the current difficulty outlook). I'm going to take the initiative here and just discount the final batch further to a price I deem fair, considering the recently significantly reduced market price. I think 10% off of market price sounds fair for the time being, with the understanding that I may also reserve the right to ship via USPS First Class instead of the originally advertised Priority (BTCGuild ships at this level and eleuthria has observed that it's typically on par with Priority anyway). That results in this last batch being offered at ฿0.162 BTC with free USPS First Class or faster shipping; delivery is estimated to you by end of next week. Hopefully friedcat will take care of me, since I'm trying to take care of you. I'll likely be putting up a 48-hour timer the second I receive hardware or tracking number, whichever occurs first. Once that expires, the promotion is concluded in full for all previous customers. If you've already paid me for this last batch and haven't received your hardware, please PM me an address to send your ฿0.033 refund, with the understanding that your order may now be shipped via First Class (if you don't do such, you will be guaranteed Priority, as originally advertised). I'm doing my best to wrap up this promotion in a fair way, despite some unannounced curve balls and I appreciate your understanding of that. I've had a lot of very supportive PMs throughout this promotion which reminded me why I was a reseller in the first place; some of you are just out-of-this-world nice and it's just a pleasure to serve you, regardless of profit. It really makes me reconsider leaving the whole game, up until another curve ball pops up... Nice... really appreciate your great work!

Does not look you sync'd all, the last checkpoint in the code I see is block 106239, check source code in github. My wallet is in sync at block 110784: { "blocks" : 110784, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.35599822, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 49858718, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

you don't have to keep your client up. The pos will be mined once you have the client up, it will calculate the coin-days you have, nothing is lost.

why so many retards here? to educate people of pos?? what a joke? why steal the name of an existing and successful coin? there are so many pos coins there, need to steal a name to "educate"? why not choose another name? clearly the dev is jealous of the success of ifc and wanted to steal something out of it. a purely mentally challenged behavior and a shame to the dev.

High interests in this coin...maybe because of high annual interest?
{ "blocks" : 3473, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 1.36904886, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 123963881, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

Can anyone explain me how does the stake minting work?
just keep the qt opened, if you have stakes held for more than the minimum time required, PoS blocks will be generated with small amount of interests.

this is a great coin, diff swing makes me always get some blocks. Also the PoS blocks payout.
Again, can you explain how the PoS blocks pay out compared to PoW? My coin didn't need PoS, cause it was very stable, are you saying it would have been better for me to include PoS, regardless? Thanks again. Are GLX seeing any supply on the exchange yet (coin-e), cause I wanna buy some. I can't get my miners to mine it, nor my coin. I really like this coin for som reason and I want to accumulate some for next year. TIA. PoS blocks are like interests, paid out every certain days, based on your holding of the coin. PoW blocks you actively mine it. Usually PoS is between 1%-100% annual interest rate, depends on the coins. PoS provides the coin more resilient to 51% attack. As the attacker will need 51% hashpower and also 51% stake of the coin in order to do a 51% attack, which makes it a lot more difficult, and also with 51% stake he is unlikely to attack the coin where he is already the majority owner. GLX has quite some trades in coins-e.com, the last trade at 0.000015 BTC/GLX. So why in the world would my programmer leave out PoS then? Just cause its stable? That's absurd. Looks like another error. I wonder if I can add PoS without a hard fork. This is ridiculous. These people coding new coins need to learn their jobs. more like u need to research how a coin works then do it urself or get a real coder to make it. if someone asked me to make a coin id just make it to the specs, nothing more nothing less. its the guy who wants coin's problem to know what the specs of the coin should be. otherwise the coder may aswell release it himself, it doesnt exactly seem like the other guy isnt doing much does it? ^^^^^ Agree

This seems a joke to me. There are maybe some instamines in WDC, which one does not? WDC, together with DGC, are the two most fairly launched coins (BTW, though DGC claimed no premine, blockchain did show a small amount of the premine). Now people bush WDC, what is the point here?
What about Goldcoin which premined 7 mil? what about stablecoin 1.2 mil premine? what about alphacoin, premined 1mil? what about Argentum, premined 200K (a lot since each block generates only 2.5 coins)?
I won't even mention the huge preminea in FTC, CNC, YAC, YBC, etc, all are ridiculous.
Yet all the coins are successful in exchange.
Come on guys, be reasonable. If you hate these, then just leave, no one asked you to mine alt coins. If you are here and want to play with alt coins, then no need to complain about the good ones such as WDC or DGC. I'd be extremely happy if all altcoins are like them!

nice summary of the PoS

Philosopherstone seems quite good compared to the other recent launches.
Dev was able to fix the PoS block issue and it is mining just fine with 70-100 Mh/s and a difficulty of 2-2.5
+1 +1
