641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Concept] Buy or sell excess bandwidth using bitcoin. on: April 18, 2012, 09:21:13 PM
This has been talked about before.. I also think this would be amazing to do with bitcoin..

But more than half the work is done for you..

dd-wrt, with Chilispot, or Freeradius is the programs your looking for..  Charge a small fee for access to your internet over wifi.

So far I see bitcoin being far superior to paypal for these purposes..

No promises! Cheesy
643  Economy / Speculation / Re: major breakout imminent! on: April 18, 2012, 04:21:11 PM
in my mediocre interpretation, this is a bull triangle forming, once it plays out, it should go up..

644  Economy / Speculation / Re: major breakout imminent! on: April 18, 2012, 04:09:04 PM
I know.  It's staying above $5 for longer than it usually does.  Although it *is* doing a sort of "double-top".  I don't know if double-top is an accepted charting term, but imagine the opposite of when everyone says double-bottom.

645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fail when the block reward drops to 25BTC? on: April 18, 2012, 02:39:16 PM
It's impossible to know how the block reward drop will affect everything exactly but talking about "failing" is absolute FUD.

This talk of FUD is such bullshit. Explain why it won't happen asshat. Don't just call it FUD. That is just so weak!

The price will rise...

Anyone who knows any economics realizes that there is no reason to expect more than a minuscule price increase (say 1-3% per annnum) from the drop in block reward. Adding a healthy serving of ass to your reply does not lend you credibility.

(addressing the audience) You should take these kinds of bullshit arguments as a tacit admission of extreme weakness.

it is FUD because you've given meager to no explanation in the OP about why you possibly think this specific horror scenario should play out. "explain why it WON'T happen, asshat" are words which come out of the mouth of someone trying to avoid the burden of proof. you made the claim, the onus is on you. BTC is trading at $5 a piece right now, so "BITCOIN WILL FAIL" claims are indeed positive claims, not the opposite.

do you have any evidence at all to believe what you wrote in the OP?

Careful, he'll call you an asshat....
646  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY! on: April 18, 2012, 11:54:42 AM
RALLYTIME!

I'm guessing just another pump and dump. If you've just bought coins it's likely you bought in too high. Prices may go down to 4.88 again imho if this is yet another stage trick. I'm guessing it works yet again, even after 5 times or so. They let people wait for any action up or down for a couple of weeks, maybe even using bots to keep the price relatively stable and at the first sign of a rally it gets everyone excited. So whoever is doing that, they just made some money off you. Maybe not much, but if you do it at high volume...But hey, you can always hold those coins for longterm.

Tip..

Aint no pump and dump...

How can you tell?

Because Im the one buying all the coins.. Smiley

652  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN ATM MACHINES on: April 16, 2012, 03:52:49 PM
I wonder whether there are machines capable of accepting bills, and then dispensing those same bills later.  Cheesy

Yes..  those exist..

They are becoming more and more popular..  But they are expensive compared to their counter part for the banks to purchase..

You should see one soon I would suspect, there are many out in the wild already.

I for one have already had training on how to fix them, yet have not touched one in the wild yet.  Smiley

You might be a pedophile if...You digitally manipulate those below the age of consent.

I believe you are in need of some Dao De Jing Matt:

Chapter 63

Do things noncoercively (wuwei),
Be non-interfering in going about your business (wushi),
And savor the flavor in the unadulterated in what you eat.

Treat the small as great and the few as many.

Requite enmity with character (de).

Take account of the difficult while it is still easy,
and deal with the large while it is still tiny.
The most difficult things in life originate with the easy,
And the largest issues originate with the tiny.

Thus it is because the sages never try to do great things
That they are indeed able to be great.

One who makes promises lightly is sure to have little credibility;
One who finds everything easy is certain to have lots of difficulties.

Thus, it is because even the sages pay careful attention to such things
That they are always free of difficulties.

-A Philosophical Translation of the Dao De Jing; Translated by Ames and Hall

Ha haha..   Toaism..

I think this magazine is Wu wei wu actually..

Lmao..

Reading the reddit is awesome..

Atlas, Jon, Ragnar, Immanuel Go, Harvey..

You are lost child.. Seek help, you need it.

Do you seriously want everything in your life to be an uphill battle for the whole of it ?

Because thats what your aiming for at this point..

Leave us; leave us, the adults to discuss things without the children at the kiddies table, now go to bed, the street lights are on somewhere..

660  Economy / Speculation / Re: A year from now (2013/04/15) on: April 15, 2012, 05:16:20 PM
I hear a lot about "acceptance bitcoin." But I think it has already taken place. I think the price will vary throughout the year. In the range of $ 3 ...  8 (if it will not "blast" advertising and "Google has invested in the project") Here's my prediction. The best way for the development (successful) of the project.
i let this in here

Battlefield earth there needs a haircut...  god...
