641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to the nano? on: August 26, 2018, 04:50:59 PM
what are thoughts about the coins of NANO?
is there a prospect for growth? how to analyze the market opportunities? I will be grateful for the good news to the beginning trader.
I am not too sure why it even got this low. I mean it is one of the most developed and insanely well prepared coins out there I have ever seen, maybe 30+ dollar was a bit stretch but during those times all coins were valued way over their usual prices so I get that however considering it is like at around 3 dollars these days with an insane %100+ increase in the price maybe we are seeing a little price correction on nano.

I mean I know everything went down in price for these past 8 months and all altcoins are worth fraction of what they used to but nano really dropped even beyond that, so it is still not going to be what it used to be but it is going to price where it should have been at the first place.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you determine the price of the coin you are holding? on: August 26, 2018, 03:50:38 PM
The price of cryptocurrencies basically follows the rules of demand and supply. As the coin becomes scares it becomes more valuable and hence the price increases. One common mistake most investors do is that, once they see the price of a coin  is going down, they hastily dump what they also holding which increases the supply more than the demand and further reduces the value of that particular coin. Later we try to put the blame on the team that they are not managing the project well. Let's help sustain our coins by avoiding panic selling. Its a collaborative effort.
Honestly I can't predict anything on this market, it may go up, down sideaways or whatever and I wouldn't be shocked. I have talked about this before and I love saying this I know I have said this a million times but it is still right after a millionth saying.

Bitcoin can be valued at $4k tomorrow and we all would be sad but not shocked, no one would be like "how did this happen to bitcoin", we full on know that bitcoin can be worth $4k tomorrow and we will move on with our life. At the same sentiment bitcoin can become 8k tomorrow and we would all be really happy and jolly but no one would be shocked, no one would assume it is an anonymously, everyone would carry on with their life. That is a 100% change and no one would be shocked for neither of those prices.
643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stock market vs cryptocurrencies. What are the main differences? on: August 26, 2018, 02:01:17 PM
Hey everyone. I am quite new to the crypto market and I was wondering if I could get some guidelines about trading. I have been trading for quite a long time on the stock market and had moderate success. What are the main differences between trading crypocurrencies and stocks. From what I understand there is no downtaime in which the market is operating and also there is no supervising entity, that could interfere in the process of trading. Are there any other factors to be taken into consideration? Also, could anyone recommend a trading service with low transaction fees?
Well, stock market is for business' and if you are buying a stock you are buying the company at least a small share of it. Hence, when that company makes money your stock value goes up (most of the time at least) and when that business loses money than the stock loses value as well. Basically the stock is tied to a company directly.

However, bitcoin is not tied to anything other than what people put a value on it. Collectively we believe bitcoin should worth something and it does, we decide on the price of bitcoin and how much it should be, for all other crypto coins as well.

When a stock gets manipulated or done something to it so it worths less than what it should, people still flock to it insanely because it is still tied to a company and if it is making money and worths a lot than even if whales try to drop the price you still buy it knowing fully well that company is doing well so no reason to panic.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 26, 2018, 12:52:52 PM
The main purpose of lakers getting lebron is to get a chance of being relevant once again but the reason why they are not giving away their young players is because they believe in couple years when lebron calls it a career (probably last contract he has) he will leave a great team behind him at lakers.

I understand that lebron is amazing but he is also getting older each year and can't really continue bringing this team into relevancy forever.

Nevertheless if you put ingram+lonzo+kuzma and whoever else they have into a lebron lead team with other veterans like rondo and beasley and lance helping them out a bit too, those kids will develop a lot faster, much faster and when all those veterans leave, these kids will be amazing and keep bringing lakers to playoffs at least, maybe even further depending on what happens with warriors in 4 years. The great thing about lakers is that they are seeing the potential of these young players even after the 4 year contract of lebron ends.
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tether (USDT) supported gambling platform? on: August 26, 2018, 04:59:43 AM
I play with USDT (tether) on LuckyGames.co with no issues.
Isn't tether just regular usd but for digital representation ?
Why not just gamble with regular fiat currency dollar instead of trying to find a place that allows you to gamble with the digital representation of it ?

I have never seen anywhere that allows people to wager with tether before but I suppose it makes sense because as soon as you put dollar into your website things gets too real and I am pretty sure the laws are way different than it is.

Consider that when you gamble with your fiat on places like pokerstars, they give you chips that represents dollars you have, so when you gamble with tether that is basically the same thing.
646  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where To buy USDT Cheap? on: August 25, 2018, 05:24:52 PM
I want to buy 10K USDT  when price for each USDT is 0.98$ but all echange sell it for 1.05$ at cheapest, I dont want to pay 0.07$ more than normal price,
Where I can buy cheap USDT? I want to buy when market is red but still hard find a good seller.
Also TETHER.TO registration now is closed.
bitterex  not work here.
Look at the technology we developed thanks to bitcoin and other coins. This topic is about buying usdt a tether token that is just the representation of dollar in the exchange markets instead of using the real dollar, for the real fiat currency we all know as dollar. Dude is literally trying to buy dollars with dollars.

As far as I know that is fairly not available and you should try to buy bitcoin with it and exchange it to tether if you really want to go that route which will of course have some percentage of losses because of the commissions but you can just wait it out for a bull quick run and get a better deal than you hope from bitcoin to usdt.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The World Bank issues blockchain-based bonds to improve bond issuance on: August 25, 2018, 04:12:56 PM
The World Bank has ordered the issuance of a blockchain bond through the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), which is "the world's first."

This marks the beginning of some of the world's most influential financial institutions to use blockchain technology to improve their products.

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has developed a blockchain-based system using a proprietary Ethereum blockchain. The Blockchain Offered New Debt Instrment (bond-i) will be issued by the World Bank in Washington.

The project is led by the World Bank, which is seeking to use blockchain technology to improve its way of issuing bonds around the world.

What do you think of everyone?
This is exactly what we need for crypto space.
Blockchain technology can be something of its own without the attachment to bitcoin or any other coin but lets be honest whenever someone mentions blockchain that brings bitcoin and crypto to mind even if the topic is blockchain based bonds to improve bond issuance.

The topic of blockchain is attached to bitcoin at default no matter what the technology can be used for. Hence, I am a big supporter of blockchain being used as many places as possible, the wider and further blockchain goes, the wider and further bitcoin and altcoins will go.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 25, 2018, 01:11:29 PM
That is not the issue, the issue which was pointed out is the critics. The people that comes on the tv after the game, its the likes of kenny, charles, shaq, bill simmons and whatevers. They believe if you are playing with lebron you need to play good a little bit to actually have a shot at the title.

However lakers are not looking to win a ring this year as an organization. If they did they would have gotten players like kawhi and give up their young guns for him. They are just trying to make lakers relevant again. However critics will assume since they have lebron they will content for a ring and anytime they lose the young ones will be put to shame because they couldn't play at lebrons level.
649  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Prediction : Dream or real ? on: August 25, 2018, 07:21:27 AM
If at least 7 out of 10 expert predictions are embodied, it makes sense to seriously consider it as a source of information for making investment decisions.

So the more predictions that have been involved about this currency the more way of taking strong decisin to continue well we should be more productivity on what we have to decide for. Even you have to dream mire to make it real someday.
There is not a single human in the world that can actually predict the price of bitcoin. Not a single person. You can check out the charts and all that and assume what it will be in an hour but there is no one that can predict the price correctly for the next 3-6 months type prices, not even a month.

Some people may guess a price and it may come up true and they will say they predicted the price correctly but that is purely luck and won't happen too many times in a row, they just wrote a number that come up to be true but not because they know something we don't know, that is just because they guessed a correct price with some luck.

Bitcoin predictions are based on some technical analysis. When bitcoin predictions are derived from technical analysis how we can call them just a dream. Only people who are not aware of how bitcoin predictions are made, probably speculating about the future of bitcoin on their own imagination. I do follow only known forum members for predictions about bitcoin's future price levels. When we will be sticking with trusted and highly established members then we can avoid such imaginary speculations.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 24, 2018, 05:11:04 PM
You guys are missing the point. Playing with lebron is not hard on the court, on the court he tries and manages to make life as easy as possible for you, he does like 99% of the work for you. Playing with lebron makes it harder outside the court. The critics and people online all expect these new young players on lakers to actually come up and do great things.

Look at what happened to previous players lebron played with, all of them are gone now, none of them are big stars, because if you play with lebron you are bound to win and if you fail to give a proper performance everyone will judge you. Kyrie got out just in time and he played amazingly during the 2016 finals and as soon as he saw that it was really unfair to expect him to play like lebron he got out.

Playing with lebron means you have very little window of bad games, if you do couple in a row, people will judge you and tell you you are worthless and a bad player.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust blockchain, Trust Bitcoin! on: August 24, 2018, 03:20:58 PM
Back in the day when famous people went on stage or on interviews said "I don't know what will happen with bitcoin but I know blockchain will have insane ways to use in real life" and just said good things about blockchain all the time while ignoring blockchain.

However, lately I have started to see the great ways of using blockchain and how it can improve so many things in life and not just crypto world but anything. That power blockchain has definitely can move some attention to bitcoin and blockchain is there because of bitcoin since satoshi created blockchain for bitcoin but in the end blockchain can actually move out of crypto space and become its own product to be honest.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buying at the dip on: August 24, 2018, 01:54:29 PM
If you have money, it is a good time to buy at the dip. It may not be long before the funds that you invest double. I would buy ETH for 80% of the capitals, and the remaining 20% would invest in EOS.
You are right with your ideology but you are missing out the basic principles of investments : diversification. Yes, you must not invest 80% into one single opportunity as in the case of it will fail, the rest of 20% may not help you to overcome your losses to get back your capital and profits. I am not talking just because of ethererum but you must diversify more to ensure that you will have a balanced portfolio.

When Ethereum dips this low you can't possibly go wrong with it's future value. ETH is going to change the way the financial world deals with money. Buying ETH today almost guarantees future returns.
I agree ethereum may bring changes to this world but its unlimited supply makes to think twice before making a big investments with it. It is a premined coin with inflationary features. When whales decide to cash out their ethereum then small investors like to myself may need to bite the dust. If ethereum is a fairly distributed coin with limited supply then no-one could argue against it.

Following ETH i'd go with NEO. Seems to be one of the first and most established POS coins.
I do hear many people are suggesting Neo and I guess it is good enough to be considered for holding up for years but my only concern about it is, it's price levels are more than 2 mBTC whereas I look for coins which are cheaper than 10k satoshi.
653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you suppose $8200 may be a sign for the bull run? on: August 24, 2018, 11:51:05 AM
$8,200 is not enough all by itself to consider a bull run start. It needs to stay above $8,200 for a long time first and than there needs to be a lot of people get back on bitcoin and altcoins so we can see the hype once again to call it a bull run. If bitcoin prices goes above $8,200 and than goes down that won't be a bull run, that is a quick correction which won't stay for long.

We need to convince everyone the value of bitcoin is above 8200 and make it stay there and convince them to get into altcoins which has a higher potential of bigger returns like x10 or what not that bitcoin can't give them. For bitcoin to go x10 it needs to be $60k however eth is less than 300 which can go x10 and won't be surprise or nano is like less than 2 dollars and x10 won't even be ATH for it, so people should move on to alts after bitcoin and that will start up a bull run.
654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you one of those who think that BITCOIN will not rise this year? on: August 24, 2018, 11:01:52 AM
Are you one of those who think that BITCOIN will not rise this year?
Some may think like that because of it's performance. But according to experts and analysts, BITCOIN is not for the weak hands.
If you do crypto as a source of living then this is not the best place for you, but if you are here because you believe that BITCOIN is a revolutionary kind of money then you're on the right track...  You know bitcoin will rise ;-)
I am one of those people who hate people that assumes they know what bitcoin will do. Bitcoin can be $4k this year and no one would be shocked and there will be even people who will say "I told you so!", however bitcoin can be $8k and no one would be shocked neither. Bitcoin can do whatever it wants to do and the price move like 200% any direction and no one would be shocked.

Yet, here you are telling people "are you one of those who think bitcoin will not rise" well there are people like that and there are people who believe the opposite and both are right because it can be true, no one knows which one is right until it happens.

656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you still believe in btc price predictions? on: August 24, 2018, 06:23:25 AM
I really really do not trust ANYONE who tries to guess bitcoin prices, not even daily when they check out the charts and assume how it looks like let alone for like people who try to guess the price of bitcoin at December of this year. They are just guesstimates and never comes true.

Look at people who invested during December, they believed bitcoin will be going to $50k when it was $20k, than it dropped to $6k, now those people already sold because of their panic and some of them are here saying "BITCOIN IS GOING TO $2K" because they got out and don't want bitcoin to go up and hope it will go down so what they did looks alright.

Or people who kept from $20k to $6k and now they are hoping the price to go back to $50k or something and they keep writing like "BITCOIN IS GOING TO BE $50K" or something because that is what they hope for.
657  Economy / Economics / Re: No threads on the ETN? on: August 24, 2018, 05:39:39 AM
Everyone seems to be obsessed with the SEC's approval or rejection of the next phase of the ETF in a couple of days, which will be obviously dennied and my thesis is the market is smart enough to know this and so the rejection is already priced in which means there will be no dump.

However, no one seems to be talking about the ETN, which would allow investors immediate access to "BTC shares" without all the bullshit that the ETF needs.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-08-15/lovelorn-u-s-bitcoin-etf-fans-may-find-satisfaction-in-sweden

More info there. Looks like it's already opened? didn't do much market wise.
I do not understand this.
I mean you are not buying bitcoin, you are basically buying into bitcoin price going up, you basically BET on the movement of bitcoin. What is the purpose of it ?

Like if you are not going to own the bitcoins you pay for, why even get into this ?
Are they trying to make betting on bitcoin prices easier for people who are not interested in the tech side of the things ?

Like some people are worrying that having bitcoin could somehow would cause them headaches (wallets, exchanges, confirmations, hell even scam exchanges that keeps your funds without notification) well than this would make bitcoin go public and at the hands of people who had hard time actually buy it and I support it.
658  Economy / Economics / Re: LIFE GOES ON. on: August 23, 2018, 05:21:30 PM
If you were smart enough to invest only the money you can lose, than you still have your investment there but in a bad state. So all you have to do is just leave it be and wait until a bigger bull run, if you wait until a bigger bull run which is probably around the corner but I can never really know what bitcoin will ever do.

If you look at the money you lost and really worry about whats going to happen and can't sleep well because of the thought of losing all this money than the investment you made was not "money you can lose", I always said this, I had couple hundred dollars invested on bitcoin at any given time and rest I cash out, I cashed out at when bitcoin was 900 dollars, just last year, not like 10 years ago, just last year I cashed out at 900 dollars, I also cashed out at $5k, I cashed out at $20k on December as well, whenever I make money I cash out, I just keep like 200-300 dollars worth into bitcoin and other coins and if they go down, they go down, I don't care, they can be zero all I care, I just keep them there just in case. Do that and you are fine.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 23, 2018, 04:26:25 PM
Lakers is a better team now but reaching the finals, that is a lot of effort to do and luck as well, it means they have to beat the warriors.
Once they are in the finals, it seems like it's a guaranteed win for them because they have already beat the best team in the NBA which is in the west.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. The Celtis are the second best team in the NBA right now, and they accomplished a lot of stuff while Uncle Drew and Hayward were injured. They have a pretty nice chance to win the Conference, they just have to beat the Raptors, 76ers still need more experience and Embiid needs to get more playing time, until then, this conference looks looked for a Raptors vs Celtics Conference Finals, which the Celtics should win. I really hope for a Celtics vs Warriors series, its going to be fun watching Kyrie vs Steph one more time. Celtics have an incredible defense and amazing home court advantage, cant wait to see them play.
Celtics as the second best team in the league ? That is a big stretch, celtics is certainly second best team in east but if you think they are better than rockets or even lakers that is not realistic. They may not be even better than raptors at this point, hayward is coming back but he is a wing player and they had great wings last year with brown and tatum already, hayward is overlapping there, the only player they missed out on is kyrie and with him they are not jumping to second best team all of a sudden.

We still have lakers and rockets on west and even pelicans who thanks to AD outmatches most of these teams and even got a game from warriors because he is the best big in the league and all these teams don't have proper big. So, I say celtics is more like 5th best team, after warriors, rockets, lakers, pelicans, probably even okc and raptors.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC worth as a long term or short term on: August 23, 2018, 03:35:00 PM
Hi all
ETC was added to coinbase recently as you all probably  know. What do you think about future of this coin? It definitely will grow overtime (being the cheapest coin on Coinbase, so psychologically new influx of people will tend to opt to buy it , IMHO) . Having said that, will it be PUMP and Dump future or this coin worth to hold long term? Or you are staying away from this coin?
ETC is dead to me. I mean eth is great and all but etc really puts nothing more to discussion than eth, eth has everything etc has and than some. Why would anyone get etc when the eth is there. ETC is only alive for investment purposes, people have etc just because they want to buy and sell and make money, they do not have it because they believe in what the etc is doing is proper, the coin itself is already dead, its only there because people are trying to make money from it.

Basically what bitcoin cash to bitcoin is what etc is to eth. I think you should try to move away from it and try to get eth as much as you can with the money you make from selling your etc.
