No, it's not possible to generate a Bitcoin address using a face share barcode. Bitcoin addresses are made up of a series of letters and numbers, and they can only be generated using special software. A face share barcode is simply a visual representation of information, and it cannot be used to generate a valid Bitcoin address. It's worth noting that some services may allow you to generate a Bitcoin address using a QR code, which is similar to a barcode but uses a different type of technology. However, a QR code does not use a person's face or other identifying information.

I think what you're asking about is something called "biometric identification" or "biometric authentication". This is a type of technology that uses physical characteristics, such as a person's face or fingerprint, to verify their identity. While this technology is often used for security purposes, it is not used to generate Bitcoin addresses. The reason for this is that Bitcoin addresses are designed to be anonymous, and using biometric identification would go against this design. Additionally, there are potential security risks associated with using biometric identification, as it could be possible for someone to steal or fake a person's physical characteristics.

If you're considering investing in Bitcoin, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
(1), it's important to do your research and understand the risks involved.
(2)The value of Bitcoin can be volatile, and there is a chance that you could lose money.
(3)That said, if you're comfortable with the risks and have a long-term perspective, Bitcoin could be a good investment.
On the best way to invest on Bitcoin, one needs to be very calculative and must be a best predictor so as to enable you figure out the best time to invest without a mistake.
One of the best ways to invest in Bitcoin is to use a reputable exchange. You can buy Bitcoin on a number of different exchanges, and you'll need to choose one that's reputable and secure.
Once you've found a reputable exchange, you'll need to set up an account and fund it with your chosen currency. Once your account is funded, you can place an order to buy Bitcoin. You'll need to decide how much you want to invest and how you want to store your Bitcoin. Some exchanges offer built-in wallets, while others require you to set up a separate wallet. It's important to choose a secure wallet, as there have been instances of exchanges being hacked and funds being stolen.
You'll also need to decide how long you want to hold onto your Bitcoin.

One of the main reasons investors choose Bitcoin over other investment options is its potential for high returns. Bitcoin has experienced dramatic price increases since its inception, and it has the potential to continue to grow in value. For example, in 2017, the price of Bitcoin increased by over 1,500%, and even with the recent downturn in the market, the price is still significantly higher than it was just a few years ago. While there is no guarantee of future returns, Bitcoin's track record makes it an attractive option for investors who are willing to take on some risk.

As Bitcoin has gained popularity and recognition, it has become the choice of many investors looking to diversify their portfolios. Bitcoin is often seen as a store of value, similar to gold or other precious metals, due to its scarcity and the fact that it is not controlled by any central authority. In addition, Bitcoin has a number of advantages over traditional investments, such as its global reach, low transaction fees, and the ability to be stored and transferred securely. These factors, along with the potential for significant returns, have made Bitcoin an attractive option for many investors...

644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to roll-back Ordinals? on: November 13, 2023, 05:54:33 PM
I just want to say that I am very annoyed at the presence of ordinal on the Bitcoin network, making a lot of blockages, making the transaction price very expensive, so I have to wait longer to transfer my bitcoin so that the transaction fee subsides.

Sorry if my expression is only a frustration over the presence of ordinal in the Bitcoin network, I hope the ordinal is returned to his hometown and do not disturb the comfort of Bitcoin in his own network.
A few days ago ORDI listed on the Binance Exchange and immediately experienced a price increase, and my Bitcoin transaction fee became more than $ 5, it was very annoying. Undecided
You mean it was listed on the biggest active volcano on the crypto planet? Maybe this is an indirect indication that we should adopt lava aka bnb, I hear they charge very low fees and speed of confirmation is superb.🤑

When that volcano erupts, it will be the biggest eruption of this century, people don't know it yet they are living under an active volcano.

@DooMAD and other LN shills, ( lol ), do you guys remember what Bitcoin did with faucets back in the days? Hell I myself learned so many things by using them, so why don't you guys spend a few grands on LN faucets to incentivize the community members to interact, learn and then spread the words about LN?  The best advertising is education, then campaign managers, service providers, bounties they will all start to adopt LN payments. ( I mean soldiers are good for such situations, they can spread awareness)

Core team should either think about block size increase, or provide a good, easy to use and secure alternative side chain/second layer in OPERATIONAL mode, not DEMO.😉
645  Economy / Reputation / Re: Dear Timelord2067, was it really necessary? on: November 13, 2023, 05:18:49 PM

What I said still applies. DT1 is (trying to be) a democracy. You can't step out of the democracy and still expect it to work.
Is that the definition of democracy nowadays? Where congress members get elected by the votes of other congress members, which means each DT member is like a state.  I wonder who are non DT, ordinary members?  I never understood western "democracy" or any democracy if it's even a thing, that's why I have joined the "revolution".

DT or not, if your words worth nothing for others, your 1 DT vote is worthless as well, whenever you guys found someone to say the final words on a matter with 98% of community agreement on the verdict, do let me know.

OTOH Feedback is correct:

I don't trust the OP and wouldn't do a trade with the OP.

This is his reason of giving negative feedback, but of course no DT  member would do the same to him, why? Because it's wrong, but if they treated him with his own style which he treats others, he'd learn from his mistakes and realize what a warped understanding of trust system he has had all this time.

Edit, @holydarkness, the election you mentioned is rigged,  12 people with total earned merits of 600 is not considered "citizens". Why not multiply that requirements by 20 for devoting? Then lets see what happens.
646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Differences between Mixer and BTC->XMR-> ? on: November 13, 2023, 04:18:19 PM
By mixing you are adding an extra variable to the algorithm of tracking transactions by chain analysis services,  also when you are using decentralized exchanges, you can't perform some functions only available when using a mixer, e.g, you can't manipulate the fees, time delay, receiving to several different addresses with time delays between each transaction.

Mixers can give you those options easily, and you just have to copy paste a few addresses, but doing it yourself might get you in trouble, it would be wise to use a service dedicated with expertise to do this for you in a professional manner, in shortest period of time, and without any hassle.

Funny, now lets talk about things that smell bad, for example some people bought sh!* in a can for thousands of dollars, on top of that there are toilet seats made of gold in some houses, so they literally take a dump and a leak on pure gold every time they go to the bathroom.

There is also the story about a tycoon named Korah, in ancient times he lived during the times of Moses the prophet, he was the richest man in the history of mankind even to this date, imagine a truck (or 70 adult camels carrying the keys) filled with only keys to his safes/vaults. I'd suggest to read his story, very educative.😉
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: November 13, 2023, 12:26:35 PM
;DLet me see, friends, is there a program that receives a photo file and then analyzes it, i.e. separates objects, people or animals, letters, numbers and colors and then makes a wallet from this information?
Yes, but you will have to wait a few years for it to be coded, since it's a new idea and also very insecure way, but if you already know what each color should represent, either they should represent 1 digit, decimal or hex, in which order? From which side/angle? Top to bottom-Left to right? What kind of algorithm is similar to convert people, animals to numbers and  what should be the factors, who decides  whether a man or woman should  convert to what exactly?
That requires an artificial intelligence with advanced algos, it's not an easy or even useful one to bother.

I mean, why do you think these keys are special? Why are you fixated on these keys in particular?
Ok, when I think about it, I might have mentioned them 10-12 times in total, so I'm not that much fixated, another thing is that when I find things interesting, I share them to see if others can find more things about them or not.

Just a simple example, when you multiply a point by lambda 2 times, you get 3 identical y coordinates, and if you divide or multiply those 3 points by the same scalar, the results will also have identical y coordinates, not to mention beta a1,a2, b1, b2 etc.
So when I share and talk about them, I hope someone who knows more and better to add to the discussion by providing more interesting facts.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how/why is this tx stuck??? on: November 13, 2023, 11:25:09 AM
But hey, it's a free service so there is nothing to complain .
It's funny how some people perceive the world around them, so you think "it's a free service for the community" thing? Well you should also know that miners are scamming ONLY Bitcoin users by including dust transactions with garbage as attachment just because they pay more fees, otherwise all it would take would be to have the top big 6 miners to exclude ordinal, NFT and other associated junks from their mempools and include or at least prioritize native/normal transactions to go first, then guess what happens? Spammers/scammers will have to keep bumping their fees so much that such floods of junks would become too expensive to carry on.
Imagine 6 mining pools which have at least 1 block mined every hour on average, then if another pool gets lucky to mine 1 block in an hour and adds the spam to their block, they would need to wait 1 hour on average, but if they'd like faster confirms, then they would have to pay the required high fee by those 6 friendly miners, this way everyone wins.

But for now everyone is busy scamming people one way or another.😉
650  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 3 Days but have no 1st confirmation on: November 13, 2023, 04:58:23 AM
I'm a bit confused about the dynamic fee used in electrum, how does it exactly work, because when I select within 25 blocks, what it really means is that my TX will be confirmed after 250 or more blocks, shouldn't the ETA estimation work at least with %50 accuracy? So when it says 25 blocks and gives you the proper sat/vb fee rate, it would then confirm after 50-75 blocks.

How did we come to this? We were used to people not delivering on their promises, but now software/code is unable to deliver as well. Lol
651  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan defaulted by [Edwardard] on: November 13, 2023, 04:19:25 AM
Not fully experienced about campaigns but since these scammers use multiple accounts to build reputation and scam people, couldn't they just use their accounts to make honest money by just being in multiple different campaigns across their accounts? I think its just advertising the websites to the best of their ability? If this user does have multiple accounts, I'm unsure as to why they couldn't just do that to earn money instead of having to scam honest hard working people here.
Well, people actually do that, take part in campaigns with several accounts, as long as they equally contribute to discussions and to the community, as long as they don't create topics with one account just to post with the other etc.

Though the point here is that he was facing difficulties in real life, but everyone instead of showing some compassion just threw him under the bus like he is some sort of used napkin.

I'm not defending him though, these are my opinions based on observations, but maybe just maybe if OP was to let the interest on the loan repayment slide, he might be willing to come back and work things out in time by working and paying back the original amount in a few month, this could significantly increase the chance for OP to at least get his original money back.

653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: November 13, 2023, 02:58:43 AM
What makes them different than any other "low" range keys, like for example 0x123456789123456789123456789? How would they help in solving?
Guess that's the million dollar question, we want to know what sets them apart, what mathematical properties they have when being divided specifically compared to other keys. And if you are asking me about their differences with other keys, means you are also clueless like me and the rest of the world, until of course we find a clue.

It's a bit difficult for me to work behind a desk with a PC, I'm on a bed doing things slowly with a phone.😉

655  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: the dilemma of division in ECC-secp256k1 on: November 13, 2023, 12:19:09 AM
I think he just got it out of his sleeves, after all cryptography is something which you could consider as magic if you know nothing about the math equations behind it, I thought there could be some actual magics involved at first, but now I just know it's not magic.
If you are interested to learn more about such divisions, first divide your target by any number, then divide 1 by the same number, and then keep multiplying the result of 1 being divided until you see a similar fraction as the fraction resulted from your first division.

Just a simple example,
97/5 = 19.4
1/5 = 0.2
0.2 * 2 = 0.4
0.4 - 19.4 = 19.

To be honest there are good suggestions out in the open, we just don't have the tools to fast forward the time on a simulator to quickly see the results.

658  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can We Turn a Nostr Public Key into a Bitcoin Address? on: November 12, 2023, 07:39:51 PM
Quote
I did a few searches and it seems like it's not possible to get a standard Bitcoin address from the "npub" alone.
It appears that Nostr's public key (decoded npub) resembles the "compressed pubKey" of Bitcoin but without the 1byte prefix that identifies if the y coordinate is odd or even.
It's exclusively the x coordinate, so without any information on the y coordinate, you'll have to guess which prefix to use.
Why would anyone need to guess about y coordinates if they already have the private key? Nostr is something entirely different, as it has nothing to do with addresses. OP is also confused about signing messages, he thinks Bitcoin addresses are used to sign a message, while the only thing used to do that is the private key. Though we can encrypt messages with public keys.

So even if you don't know which y coordinates to use, you can access 4 public keys with only 1 private key, first pair of public keys are supposedly +n, then you could subtract the private key from n to access -n pair. In practice, every time we generate 1 private key, we are essentially burning *4 Bitcoin addresses without knowing it.

*= legacy version.

Lol he said "do not beg for merits excessively" which means  there are some rooms for begging.  I think you are mature enough to let such actions slide as if they are some cheeky neighborhood kids running around asking for some candy from time to time. IMO, you should let everything slide unless it's something causing damage to you or other people.😉

I like their style though, "free" some people want everything to be free, as if they would give anything out for free themselves.
