two days before the promotion even started, I checked the terms & condition of the Christmas raffle page(yes, in case you didn't know, this page is up 2 days before the promotion even started)

Wait a second.  Did you check the terms the day the promotion started?  If they put something up 2 days early, then change it before the start, it's even more of a who cares.

But if they changed the rules between 2 days before and the start, you should of jusst said "ahh damn" and moved on.

Quote from: kajika
if I was actually trying to abuse the system, I wouldn't deposit 5 times a total of 204 mbtc. 5 deposit of 3 mbtc each would do the trick, wouldn't it? So logically, if beforehand I knew that they have made a mistake in their terms & condition page, and if I was trying to abuse it, why on earth would I risk losing nearly $100USD (204mbtc) instead of just $5USD, to abuse 5 tickets that doesn't guarantee me any wins?

You were gonna deposit around 200 mbtc anyway bc you wanted to play?

You deposited the tiny deposits to get extra tickets.

There's nothing wrong with trying to get extra tickets.  You wanted to win, just like any other gambler would.  Making extra deposits of a few mbtcs in hopes of getting extra tickets is perfectly logical and ethical.

Quote from: kajika
First, no, I wasn't trying to gain 'extra' tickets or 'extra' advantages

wtf?

6462  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetCoin.TM Bitcoin Casino | Poker | Slots | Sports | Live Dealers | And More! on: December 21, 2015, 03:31:51 AM
This casino blackjack is set up wrong.

In rules dealer must hit Soft 17.

Dealer does not know true meaning of soft 17.

If Dealer is hitting for example 16 Ten + Six and receive an Ace for its next card the dealer will draw again. This is not definition of soft 17. This is dealer hitting a hard 17. I'm not sure if is advantage for player or house because dealer will bust many time hitting hard 17 but time against me dealer hit the hard 17 to 21 and beat my 20.

Soft 17 means when Dealer start with any Ace in their hand not when after they have drawn an Ace to make 17 do they not get to hit again.

This is serious flaw in their blackjack game and should be fixed immediately. Seem like amateur set up their blackjack game who did not know rules.

dealer can draw an ace for soft 17, if the ace counts as 11 and the total is 17 it's soft.

T6A is a hard 17 though.  if they are hitting H 17 every time they draw ace it's gotta give player decent bump in ev

lol @ 3 and 6 mbtc deposits

Exactly, he was trying to game the system anyways with $1 and $2 deposits to attempt to gain extra tickets that clearly they had a mistake and only allowed one per person. Now he wants to go to a gambling commission over this lol. Please bitcasino just ban this guy and revoke his raffle tickets to this very generous Christmas promotion for being a complete dick.

No, it certainly wasn't clear they made a mistake = and there's nothing wrong with making the small deposits to get 5 tickets.

Just loling @ tone of scam accusation + financial history.

Hes a dick for claiming scam, I'm a dick for loling, and Trayber - you're a dick for kissing casinos ass and trying to get him banned.

Merry Christmas Smiley

Introducing the industry's best rake structure AND 50-190% rakeback HERE exclusively.  Simply the best place to play poker!

They have been charging up to 5 times the rake they advertised for at LEAST the last 4 weeks.

They were aware this was happening at least 4 weeks ago, and simply ignored players who brought it to their attention.

They won't be refunding the players who overpaid.

Do you think this is ok?

They have a lot of new features going on and their hands are full, and I guess it takes more work than we thought for them to go into the system to fix everything based on my understanding.  Nevertheless, the rake table is near flawless right now.  Great place to play poker since the rake schedule has been programmed into the new software!

You think it's ok for them to just keep the money they were never entitled to take from players because it would be too much work to give it back?

No it is certainly not okay to keep anything you are not entitled to.  With that said, I can see what support meant when they said it wasn't really over raked (net gain) because many people benefited from higher rake due to the rewards they got.  So those people are technically not entitled to the higher rewards either.

So for example if you are getting 100% tablestarter RB + VIP + Affiliate RB, you'd obviously be happy if the rake was as high as possible.  At any rate, this was a tough call and support had to make a tough decision.

I agree, there's no reason to refund the players who received at least all of the rake they paid back already.

Do you think it's OK to not refund players who were overcharged and not eligible for at least 100% rake back.

Is that telling me that the highest number of players at any hold'em ring game is 1? And if so, how do some of the tables have a hands-per-hour number of over 100?

Maybe thats how many hands have been played over the the last hour and/or the stat isn't updated as frequently when there are no hands being played.

If two players are averaging 200 hands/hour for two hours, when one of them leaves what should the hands/hour be 5 or 20 minutes later? Maybe 0, I don't know.
6468  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetcoinPoker.com Betcoin.ag-Big Tourneys-BONUS-Freerolls, Ring Games, Real Poker on: December 18, 2015, 04:49:30 AM
So what did they ban you for? They usually only ban cheaters, colluders and bots.

They refused to tell me why I was banned.

They unbanned me a few days ago, not sure why.  I didn't ask or agree to do anything differently in the future.  I doubt they will explain why.

I don't know of anyone who's been banned for cheating, colluding or bots.  They shut down tons multi accounts if thats what you mean, but they don't always allow the player to keep their main account afaik.

I don't think you're a shill, although you do have one of the oldest active player accounts.

I know you understand whats going on, and agree with me at least somewhat that they have done many unethical things and likely will do many more.

Why is it so important to you that I stop calling them out for it?  Maybe I am wasting my time, but I'm not going to stop - so why waste yours?  I don't understand.

Why are you trolling me?
Did I troll you or somehow piss you off sometime in the past?

Now you're just making shit up about me.

You really don't know what my attitude is...but TwichySeal is a SWC shill

Why?

What did they ban you for?Huh  I have argued with them before and it had no consequences.

Also, don't worry  about the money for the excessive rake...they will probably have a big freeroll to  make up for it soon.

Don't worry. If you dislike them so  much, they are shooting themselves in the foot with the inconspicuous rake increase notice and petty stuff like that...that is why they are not growing as fast as they should. With the fast payouts that they have, they should be much bigger than they are but they mess up in little stuff that they don't even realize makes players upset enough to play elsewhere. So everything  averages out. You don't need to be hounding them everyday. Maybe one day they will realize all the petty mistakes that they make.
Relax, your beloved seals is ahead  of them in traffic. http://www.pokerscout.com/

Your troll game needs work.

The rake appears to be fixed, but this bug taught us a lot about our rake structure and some improvements that need to be made.  We will follow up with more next week.  Thank you to all the testers and feedback.

-----> HUGE rake increase at betcoin.ag since the 14th December: https://www.betcoin.ag/betcoin-poker-table-rake-update

They've been "unintentionally" charging 2-5x their advertised rake for at least a month now

They knew about it at least 4 weeks ago and did nothing until recently.

They said refunding would be too complicated - so they are keeping the money.

I haven't compared the new rake structure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was very similiar to what theyve been charging since October or earlier.

What does not make sense is why you  keep wasting your time. You don't want to play here and they banned you. So both agree that you will not play here.
To play at Betcoin you have to take the good with the bad or else you will be upset many times when dealing with support. So if you can't handle it is better for you to walk away and forget the whole thing. You are not going to change anything one bit.

Quote from: wwwin
Don't be foolish. They are content in growing at a snail pace, and sometimes regressing, or else they would have made some changes a long time ago. Nobody has been able to change the way they handle themselves or the way they do things and I seriously doubt that you can.

You tried to convince me that the level of scummyness that Betcoin gets away with is standard and acceptable

Quote from: wwwin
What did you expect? At least I don't waste long hours as you do in a mission that is imposible to accomplish. You should just play live poker...oh wait live dealers have been known to steal chips...I guess you should just go to church and deal with 100% honest people...

You know what's funny?  I was playing on UB and AP during the scandal....they re-reimbursed everyone and I continued to play all the way up until Black Friday....We were never reimbursed when they finally closed for good....but....whatever.  I still had the WPN after Black Friday!  Stars, tilt, Cereus, even Bodog's domain name was seized that morning with an FBI announement (rarely mentioned).  But, the WPN has been around for a long time and they're a strong network!

They reimbursed only a fraction of what was stolen.  Then they pretended that a new regime would be taking over UB and brought in guys like Joe Sebok to convince everyone else how legit they were.

The fact that their domain was seized by DOJ is not what makes them scum.

It's the the fact that all the funds that should have been segregated to back up players balances were gone.

You should of stopped supporting them as soon as you found out they were doing unethical things the first time.

Why are we talking about UB again?

  Ever hear of this guy?

Todd Witteles was a victim of the Absolute Poker/Ultimatebet "Superuser" cheating scandal. He and several other online players took part in uncovering and proving the cheating. This attracted enough media attention to where it became the subject of a story on the TV news program "60 Minutes", where Witteles was featured. The episode aired on November 30, 2008.[6] Witteles appeared on the front page of The Washington Post about the same matter.[7] On December 16, 2009, he appeared on CNBC to discuss the cheating. In the CNBC special, Witteles claimed that legalization and regulation of online poker was necessary in order to prevent future cheating scandals. He also appeared on a Blu-ray Extra attached to the movie Runner Runner, entitled House Of Cards: The Inside Story of Online Poker.[8]

Here's what he's said about Betcoin:
Quote
this site sounds shady as hell, and you should stay far, far away.

I will admit that I didn't understand everything you posted (I think it made sense to you but not to outsiders like me), but the "No Collusion Freeroll" -- where they held a freeroll supposedly with funds confiscated due to collusion, yet allowed the colluders to still play on the site, should be all you need to know about betcoin's integrity.

It also appears that they engage in an evasive and passive-aggressive customer service model, where they first ignore problems, then attempt to cover them up as much as they can behind the scenes, and then ban anyone who continues to question them.

I suggest everyone stay away from Betcoin.

Before I read the rest of your post, I was predicting that Jessica wouldn't actually be fired, but would just be assigned another name to use for Betcoin support.

Looks like they didn't even do that, and she's simply still working there under Jessica.

Pretty awful.

Anyone who continues to patronize these scumbags is a fool.

We are working with the software provider to get this fixed and will continue to provide updates at Betcoin.ag. Refunding players who have been overpaying is a bit more complicated because most players are actually getting more than they should! Do we take this away from them and their affiliates? We thank you for your support and will continue to work hard everyday. We just want this to be perfect for all of you and we will keep working hard until we get there. Great action on the tables right now and we will extend the 10 mbtc ring game promo!

So you claim that your business exists by giving everyone 100% rakeback and not making any money from anyone?  LIES!

Please give your great players back the extra rake that you illegally took from them.

They think that because some players received 100% rakeback when being overcharged means that they have been giving out more than 100% rakeback.

Reality:

No more than 2 players could be eligible to receive 100% rakeback at any table.

Even if they were charged triple what they should have been, receiving it back is still equal to 100% rakeback.

Players should obviously not be entitled to a refund for hands if they received 100% rakeback.

Players who were over charged and did not receive 100% rakeback should be refunded, but wont be.

Consider this:

Every hand played at a HU NL table for the past 4+ weeks with a pot of 100 chips or more was over raked by 4 chips. (0.004 BTC)

It adds up fast.

Great job fixing your rake Betcoin, I hope you don't think giving away Bitcoin in threads like this makes it ok for you to keep what you "unintentionally" took from players over the past 4 weeks or longer.

In other news: you still haven't made things right from several other instances in which you "unintentionally took" 10+ BTC each  via the BBJP or from colluders or by under paying rakeback from WPN MTTs...the list goes on...

There has been proof presented for each of these accusations which remains undisputed.

That explains the whole situation. And no TwitchySeal nothing happened because of your rantings and therefore the medal you want is not forthcoming. If you think you are gonna get Betcoin players to play at Seals it's not going to happen since the seals have been moribund since Micon left.

How do you figure?
They contradict themselves in the first sentence.

Quote
The rake is actually programmed correctly in the system with the proper cap, but appears to be capping at 2 ($0.82) for most tables 5 ($2.14) for some tables and the highest of 8 mbtc ($3.43) for very few tables.
Theyve been aware of the issue for 4 weeks.

The day after I bring it up they fix it. (I think, maybe its not fixed though)

Do you really think they needed "rake testers''?

Have they returned the bitcoin they unintentionally took to the players it was unintentionally taken from?

Why do you care whether or not I try to stop a business from doing bad things?

I understand you don't care that they do bad things, but surely you wouldn't care if they stopped right?

Read my signature, they are glad I'm doing this.
