661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Annoying Shills / Altcoin Supporters on: August 11, 2014, 09:58:46 PM
Remove DOGE from the list Cheesy
Dogecoin supporters are the most funny ones, definitely not annoying in my opinion, at least not much, so crypto.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 【ANN】AllCoin.com new market: StellarCoin STR. on: August 11, 2014, 09:47:15 PM
I can't sign in now at work, did someone tried the allcoin.com exchange and can write some feedback about it?
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: stellar going up on: August 11, 2014, 09:43:00 PM
So is stellar already in any decent exchange?

So we can say seriously about it doing up or down?

Today it has been added in the Poloniex exchange, the volume is still very low but we are only at the beginning, let's see how it goes.
664  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to sell? on: August 11, 2014, 09:27:48 PM
If the OP did indeed sell his 333 BTC in Feb 2013, then let this be a lesson to every bitcoin holder:

If he had held to today, his $5000 initial investment would now be worth ~$193,000.  You never know what is going to happen and when.

Probably he sold all his bitcoins because he disappeared from the forum, definitely that wasn't a smart decision...
665  Economy / Speculation / Re: sideways for so long now.... on: August 11, 2014, 09:22:27 PM
There are too few negative threads about bitcoin's value, when the speculation forum will be full of bears then the time for a new rally is come.
666  Other / Archival / Re: Best bitcoin faucets? on: August 10, 2014, 09:58:36 PM
Im not in a position to buy BTC off an exchange at the moment, so what faucets do you guys use?
You are not going to get any meaningful amount of BTC from a faucet. I would suggest to join a signature campaign if you want some BTC without paying for it.

The only way to earn some more coins with faucets is to build up a blog and try to get as many referrals as you can,
this is a time consuming job but if you succeed you can earn money without doing anything.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 10, 2014, 03:54:45 PM
Buy 50 USB pendrives and store on them 1 btc each from a computer booted from a live cd disconnected from the internet.
Do the same but with 50 paperwallets and finally store all your btc in alot of different places.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is the greatest pain to use? on: August 10, 2014, 03:43:34 PM
Monero (XMR) was difficult .

At the beginning there was no GUI. It was all command line! And it did not work on win x86. I had to format c: and overcome my laziness to use it. Eventually it was worth it : the greater the barrier to entry, the lowest the price and the more probable you have a higher ROI.

I had the same issues in the beginning but luckily XMR repayed me with some decent gains, now with the GUI is a piece of cake Smiley
Another coin with which I had problems was NXT, I really couldn't let it work.
After days of pain the dev gave me a link to another version which worked in the first run -_-
669  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you do if you received 20 bitcoins? on: August 10, 2014, 03:29:23 PM
If I received 20 bitcoins I would try to find who made the error, if I can find him then I'll send back all the coins to the original owner.
If not I would add them to my cold storage and thank the unknown donator.
670  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $20 STEAM credit for only $2!! [0.003btc] CrAzY Deal!! on: August 10, 2014, 03:13:38 PM
A couple of questions since I'm new in Steam and don't know anything about it:

Can the credit be used in Europe?
How can you sell $20 at $2, where's the trick? Cheesy
671  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to know about BTC mining on: August 10, 2014, 03:00:25 PM
Instead of bitcoin mining, which is really hard, you could try with altcoins mining, it's cheaper and if you are enough lucky is profitable.
If you want only to pratice mining without investing too much, try a cloud mining website and do your experiments.
672  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high will the next bubble go? on: August 10, 2014, 02:47:14 PM
Maybe we started to "bubble" again after the $340ish low, and then the top was at $685. And now back to bear market? Grin Bit of a stretch in definition, but hey, we doubled!

A bubble should only be considered a bubble when it is in uncharted price territory. Bouncing around previous price territory is not a bubble.

This is just a stagnation period after the "real" bubble we had in late 2013.
You can recognize a bubble from its exponential rise where most people panic buy all what they can afford in a short period of time.
673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers Use Bitcoins??? on: August 10, 2014, 01:49:29 PM
I wouldn't admit this, but the crypto world is full of scammers of all types.
Don't trust anyone even if he is an hero member with thousands of posts and a positive trust,
use always the services provided by escrows.
674  Other / Off-topic / Re: AVG free anti-virus on: August 10, 2014, 01:46:13 PM
If you have been targeted by a skilled hacker there's no antivirus which can stop him from entering in your system and installing whatever keylogger virus etc he wants.
675  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Everyone of my friends says the same: "How do I get Bitcoins?" on: August 10, 2014, 01:39:18 PM
Everyone of them say "why do I want to work for Bitcoins? I would rather get paid in dollars" or they don't care to buy Bitcoins.
Faucets are a joke.
 Cry

you can bitcoin with many ways, there are sometimes give you for free by clicking the adevertisement, sometimes you must play a game, etc

You can also play the game included in the Huntercoin wallet and earn btc by selling the HUC gathered.
Or you can join the Let'sTalkBitcoin forum and earn LTB coins by posting and listening to podcasts.
676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really believe that Bitcoin will hit 1,000,000 on: August 10, 2014, 10:12:19 AM
1,000,000 seems like a lot so early on to be honest. Getting into the 100.000's seems more realistic at the moment however I would never rule out bitcoins hitting 1,000,000 in time. It's something that we will not see over night or even in the next few years though.

Even if I always predict high values for bitcoin, 1 million is really out of my sight, I would not bet a dollar on it.
As ocean (and others) said, 100,000$ could be a realistic value if the adoption will continue to grow at today's rate.
677  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the next bubble start? on: August 10, 2014, 10:03:02 AM
The next rally is starting but it won't pass the $1000 value, it will peak in two months from now maybe.

Is not at all likely that the price will peak at $1000.
Someone will sell of course, but the rally won't stop so early, it will go at least 2x from there.
678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is failing, People are getting out, $550 in 24 hours on: August 10, 2014, 09:56:14 AM
Sooooooooooooooooooooooo it's Aug 8th by the by.

wrong, you missed the drop already, 30/07/2014 lowest: $55x

And thats the lower price we will reach, people see very cheap the price at 550 or less so they will not allow to fall below that.

There's an interesting resistance at the 550$ level, I don't think that there will be so much selling pressure to break through that value.
Probably we won't see any sub 500$ price ever.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 10, 2014, 09:52:39 AM
With all the incredible hype this coin has seen, I think that a pump is a realistic scenario.
There are many altcoins which were pumped in the beginning lately, and this should be another one.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LTBc] The most profitable alt coin to mine is... on: August 10, 2014, 09:50:07 AM
It's a mistake for sure, I have seen too many new users in the last days Wink

Can someone open a new thread in the LTB support section to ask about this issue?
Maybe it's only a copy/paste error and they didn't noticed it.
