661  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 19, 2014, 01:41:41 AM
I am really diggin' this deal, but my problem is they offer no possible legal recourse, any guarantees of any kind, and quite frankly pre-ordering under those conditions has got to stop.  I am definitely interested in ordering this miner, no doubt, and maybe multiple, but the bottom line is this:

"3.Delivery; Shipment. Delivery dates communicated or acknowledged by Spondoolies in the Order Confirmation are approximate only, and are dependent upon supply chain interruptions and stoppages, development delays, and other factors. Therefore, Purchaser shall not rely upon, and Spondoolies shall not be liable under whatsoever circumstances for any other estimation statement of expectation when delivery will occur."

What do I have to know that they will make it right if we are royally screwed on the delivery date?  No Plan B?  Any comment on this and I am certainly in for at least 1...

Until now even this "legal recourse" that you are talking about didn't make BFL go out of business. They are still taking pre-order money for the Monarch which was supposed to release in November/December. Nothing happened with Labcoin and Terrahash(as far as i know), nothing happened with Cointerra and their under spec miner. Maybe HashFast will face some problems, but it seems that for the moment they are doing just fine by selling customer chips to 3rd party suppliers. Going the legal way is very time and money consuming and considering that Bitcoin is something that the legal system wasn't prepared for you might face a lot of problems by going this route too. I would agree with the legal recourse if BFL was out of business and Sonny and Inaba were behind bars, but while in theory this might sound ok, in reality things are a bit different.

I would like to offer you a deal, but i want to make it only for you and it won't happen again and i don't want to have any influence for the rest of the group buy. I can offer to support your losses by fully repaying you in case of non-delivery in August. It's not much and it's only my word. I would get the scammer tag and my reputation here will be over. You will need to agree it first and then after I post "I agree" it will be binding for me. I reserve the right to not agree it if there will be a lot of people that will complain that i'm trying to gather more units, although until now this Group Buy is doing just fine.

...
RoadStress and Spondoolies-Tech, please post your thoughts.

I can't post any thoughts regarding that because only Spondoolies Tech cand make that decision, but man you really want some SP10s right?

News:
I have updated the OP with the number of units that we got plus i have raised the maximum number of reservations to 1100 in case there are some customers that won't pay. The number of the units for August will still be 1000. If there is a way to add a countdown timer just let me know.

OK, I can agree to that.

I dont need ALOT of SP10s.  Id just like one in May to get to hashing Immediately while waiting.  Maybe even 2 at 1K each.
I thought the extra SP10 in case of delays would be a good act of good faith in the part of Spondoolies-Tech, and for them at $1000 extra in the
"better together" bundle, it seems like a good act of good faith for the company, and a good "Plan-B" as the earlier person posted for us to get
something now and later in case of delays.  It gives us a reason to get behind them, and a motivation for them to ship on time.
662  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 19, 2014, 01:05:38 AM

Many of us also see they know how to build the 1.4th sp10 it is a great unit push that on us.

NOW  to be honest my great hope is they are truly mad genius's and all this thread was to  ploy create a group buy for the sp10.  For may delivery at good prices.

Great idea...SP10 is a proven...existing...good product...!

Hey RoadStress,... could you organize another group buy for SP10 ...Easter is just behind the corner... Wink
[/quote]

Could they add in an IMMEDIATE ship ASIC for the buyers for a small addition?

How about they throw in an SP10 with this that ships IN MAY to every buyer for another $1000.

On their site, better together is $12,995, A SINGLE SP30 Yukon is 13,995.
We are buying OVER 50 ASICs here so I think for them to throw in the same promotion here would probably
get us more buyers.

What if for an extra $1000 they throw in a SP10 to ship IN MAY once you pay in full?
This would give us some IMMEDIATE hashing for a small additional fee.
Then, maybe commit to ship an extra FREE SP10 if there are any shipping delays.
Say one FREE SP10 each month they are late.
I think this would be an act of good faith and get the community behind them.

RoadStress and Spondoolies-Tech, please post your thoughts.

Did I got it right: If we reach the 50 orders by next friday we will get a SP30 for the price of 5.5k instead of 10.7k?

50 units, not 50 orders, but yes. I hope we get more than 250 units so that we can get 5k$ (4500$ if you have a previous order with any Bitcoin manufacturer)

PM sent.  I'm in sir!
664  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 18, 2014, 01:19:36 PM

Thanks very much.  And one free month mining would be at the unit speed of 5.4TH/s?
Would that start as soon as we send full payment for the unit?

Of course it will be 5.4TH/s. The hashing will start in August. Not sure when exactly in regards to the shipping queue, but i think Spoondolies Tech will respect their shipping queue meaning that if you pay faster then you will start hashing faster. Pay later, you will start hashing when your time comes in the queue.

OK, I was confusing hosting with them giving us one free month "cloud mining" service per say
immediately.  Thank You.

... Spoondolies Tech can reply about the warranty.
90 days, no questions asked.
Full terms of sale: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/pages/terms-of-sale

Thanks, I did miss the shipping part.  That was my mistake.

""The units include free shipping or one month of free hosting. If you choose free shipping the units will be shipped to you directly from Spondoolies-Tech.""

SO if we do not choose free shipping, will they be shipped from somewhere else?

Thanks again!!

I have corrected the OP. Shipping will be directly from Spoondolies Tech no matter what you choose.

Thanks very much.  And one free month mining would be at the unit speed of 5.4TH/s?

We're approving that this deal is real and we trust RoadStress with the wallet containing the tokens of participation.

Guy

What is your warranty coverage on these units?

What is the shipping for these units?
Where do they ship from?

IF payment is required when the group buy is initiated, would
you accept escrow if you will not accept Credit Card payment.

Thanks

Just to clarify, that is for ONE of these units?

http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp30-yokon

If this can be verified by the community as legit Im VERY serious.
When is the drop dead date to reserve our spot?

Are these guys reputable? Can we REALLY trust they will ship IN AUGUST.

If so, Im interested for sure.

Yah not bad.
At the 2.2Gh/s clock setting there are maybe 5 or 10 max errors in a 24 hour period so next to nothing.
Im now getting more than 0 errors on my 333Mh/s USB erupters after starting the newer version
of BFG miner.  The super old version I started with always showed 0 errors but it was always crashing
and had a hard time to start up again so using the new version is better and doesnt constantly crash
if there is even the slightest internet hiccup.

Im getting 1 or 2 hour bursts up to 2.3Gh/s per my BTC dashboard.  Not bad.

672  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ ANTMINER U2 ] THE NEW ANTMINER USB MINER = 2.0GHs {USA - .0385 LOWEST PRICE} on: March 18, 2014, 06:33:36 AM
I tested these out on a powered USB hub running CG miner 3.10.0

Used the standard CP210x_VCP_Windows driver

set it with  -S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0A81

After running about 24 hours Im getting 2.2Gh/s stable stable showing on
CGMINER and my pool.  I got about 5 HW errors in 24 hours so its running very
well at 2.2Gh/s.  So far so good with this mining for fun.

I have a small fan blowing past the erupters and the U2 runs WAY cooler than
the old 333Mh/s USB erupters.

674  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BFG and Antminer U2 on: March 17, 2014, 10:33:41 PM
Thanks for the advice.

So I plugged it into a powered USB hub at home.

--set-device antminer:clock=x0A81

Got steady 2.2Gh/s all night after that.  0 HW errors so far.

I put a small fan in front of the heatsink and the thing runs
way cooler than the OLD 333Mh/s USB block erupters.
So far these things seem pretty legit for the size and price.

Seem to have found the happy medium

Tried --set-device antminer:clock=x0B81 and got ALOT of errors immediately.

Gonna try this for a day and see.

Then try --set-device antminer:clock=x0A81 and see if it hashes better with a
USB powered hub and runs stable or if the HW errors come back.

This seems to be alot of trial and error with these things.

Ok, figured out I copy pasted something bad when I was messing with clock speeds.

Now I fixed it, and its back to low rates of 1.5Gh/s or lower.

It seems hard to make them all show up with the same around 1.9Gh/s like if Im using a
333Mh/s block erupter and they all show around 335 in all three spots.

May be something to just sit and watch over 3 days and see if the speeds average out
to increase to 1.9Gh/s in all 3.
677  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BFG and Antminer U2 on: March 17, 2014, 02:07:05 AM
OK, went out on a limb here and set the manual hash rate out of curosity.

As soon as I bumped it manually, it started showing full hash all the way.
It even spiked up as high as 2.2Gh/s on the last of the 3.
Possibly a fix for this one, it seems better than before.

Ill let it run a couple days and see what the average shows.

Did a quick touch test on the heatsinks and they feel quite cool.
WAY cooler than my cheap 333mh/s asic miners.

--set-device antminer:clock=x0881

BTW, are there any U2 specific hardware manuals from BitMain yet?
Or posted anywhere?
Or are we just assuming the settings from the U1?
When I set the x0881 clock manually it actually gave an invalid hex setting but ran better
than without it.  Now I wonder if the manual x0881 did anything at all.  Ugh.

No hardware errors and the stale rejects are very low.
Im gonna run this on a faster network connection at home and see what happens.

Is this issue being most likely linked to bad internet connection?
I just hooked mine up running at the default hash rate and get the same low
hash rate sent to the pool.

Testing this out on a PC running ONLY the U2 antiminer with BFG 3.10.0
The program shows Im hashing at 2.0Gh/s but at the end shows only 1.2Gh/s - 1.5Gh/s
Is this because of a poor internet connection?

I havent even bothered trying to overlclock even though I have added an extra heatsink to the boards chip since
the pool isnt even seening my device full hash rate.

Any other ideas if this is the real issue here due to internet connection?

I checked my BTC dashboard and its showing this speed Sad
