Thanks very much.  And one free month mining would be at the unit speed of 5.4TH/s?
Would that start as soon as we send full payment for the unit?

Of course it will be 5.4TH/s. The hashing will start in August. Not sure when exactly in regards to the shipping queue, but i think Spoondolies Tech will respect their shipping queue meaning that if you pay faster then you will start hashing faster. Pay later, you will start hashing when your time comes in the queue.

OK, I was confusing hosting with them giving us one free month "cloud mining" service per say
immediately.  Thank You.

50 units, not 50 orders, but yes. I hope we get more than 250 units so that we can get 5k$ (4500$ if you have a previous order with any Bitcoin manufacturer)

Drop an e-mail to sales@spondoolies-tech.com and ask them. They are very helpful and open and should be able to help you somehow.

I wouldn't be involved into this unless i really trusted this company

No offence but if you go back and look you can pretty much find a senior community member vouching for any given ASIC company at one point or another.  It really isn't about trust it's about who bares the risk of problems.  Pre-ordering transfers the risk from the company to the customer.  The only circumstance under which I would commit to buying a miner for X price with Y delivery date in the future is if the company agreed that the price would be adjusted if the performance or the delivery date deviated and all funds were held by a trusted third party escrow.  Until the product was shipped.

What makes you think this is any different than every other pre-order where everything is great until there is just a little problem that delays everything by a month or 10 and the company keeps all the profits while the customer takes all the losses?

Show me the senior community members that vouched for any given ASIC company and also dedicated a lot of their time unmasking shady companies like i did. I got involved in almost all new threads from new companies from the ex Custom Hardware sub-forum(just Hardware now). Also when something seemed fishy for me i acted like here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253282.0

There is a reason why i didn't get involved in CoinTerra, HashFail and Bitmine.ch (to name just the big pre-order names). I have Jupiters and Burnin's avalon boards (and now a SP10 too). Call it what you want, but my tracking record was very good up until now. I intend to keep my record good.

Spoondolies Tech already paid for 2(two) chips masks before taking any upfront money and as i said in my second post here having a good supply chain requires money upfront for various things starting from the components themselves up until everyone handling the packaging and the paper work. They received $5.5m funding and they ran 9 months before coming here on the forums with a final and working products that only had to be assembled to be shipped. Show me a single company that sustained itself for 9 months before taking any money.

Also as i stated in my second post i do have one SP10 hashing right now and i'm impressed by the quality of the whole product. They also have the best packaging that i saw as stated here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg6097517#msg6097517 The almighty KnC doesn't even come close regarding the attention to detail that Spoondolies Tech has for its launched product or it's customers. Their new 28nm chips are simply their 40nm chips reduced to 28nm. You can't get easier work than that and they will have the chips early in July. They will have plenty of time to prepare things up for August products. Show me another vendor that is so open to requests like Spoondolies has been since their first announcements. All vendors treat you with silence when they feel. This is not the case.

Thats a crazy amount of hash coming online if you sell out!

Still less than KnC's datacenter funded by customers money.

so I send .1 btc now to commit for an AUG 1 MACHINE?  the machine runs at 5.4 th and pulls 2500-3000 watts?

what is the watts?    I can do a lot of math projections.  but I need the watts for this machine>

Does it have 2 psu's

I have the ability to use 2x 20 amp  120 volt lines.

What does each psu pull 1200 watts or 1500 watts  each?

I would hopefully get this machine for 4500usd  since I can show many asic orders.

I need 3 numbers

price 4500 usd I have that.
hash   5.4 th    I have that.
 watts    Huh      I need that.
delivery date due Huh? I need that.
full payment date due Huh I need that.

here is  very simple number setup

500 usd a coin

diff of 106 mill th   vs 7 mill th

5.4th hash

those numbers mean the machine earns 12 bucks a day. so if you pull 3k for power that is 24 k a day at 20 cents is 5 bucks

so the profit each day is 7 usd a day.

once you are at the 107 diff mark.

buying this machine and waiting until aug to hash is  a mad stupid move to do.

for .92 btc you can be hashing at 200 gh with an ant miner s-1 in 3-5 days.   I am using .92 btc as I include a psu you will need to buy.

the wait until aug does not work. you are looking to buy a machine that won't make money due to the long wait.

Preorders would not make sense at 4500usd and aug if the machine used 1000 watts.

Please don't troll this thread. Thinking that the difficulty will raise nonstop with 15% is simply unreal and it's bad intended. There are other threads where you can speculate about the difficulty, but this is not the place and i won't allow it.I will just add that considering that the SP30 will be the most efficient miner starting from August it means that you will be able to mine for a longer period of time than the whole 50000TH/s that is plugged in right now supporting the Bitcoin Network. I don't want to continue this discussion and i will delete all further posts about it. Take it to another thread!

Yes send 0.1 BTC now for every units that you would like to purchase. The full payment date will be either after we hit the 250 units mark or 4 days after Friday 25th if there are less than 250 units sold. Spoondolies Tech will give you more details about the power consumption.

The power consumption at the wall will be ~2500 Watt.

For the SP30, we'll use two 1200 Watt PSUs. We're evaluating:

Emerson              P/N DS1200-3-002
http://www.artesyn.com/power/power-supplies/websheet/401/DS1200

Murata                 P/N D1U3CS-W-1200-12-HA4C
http://www.murata-ps.com/en/products/ac-dc-power-supplies/1u-front-end/d1u4-w-1200-12-ha1c-6.html

ASIC Power Performance is 0.35 Watt / GH/s

AC2DC derating is ~0.92

DC2DC derating is ~0.85

Fans will consume ~60 Watt

(2500 - 60) * 0.92 * 0.85 / 0.35 = ~5.45 TH/s

The spec of the SP30 is 5.4 TH/s +- 10%

New Mimblewimble implementation: https://www.beam.mw
Spondoolies is now part of Blockstream: https://blog.blockstream.com/en-blockstream-mining-builds-momentum-with-spondoolies-acquisition/

I think it might be helpful if you lay out how you think we should think of difficulty because honestly when I plugged the numbers into the calculator that I use I came to a similar conclusion as JWU42.  Pre-order concerns aside that's really the the other thing that would keep me from going with this.

Edit: or even just link to a thread where you think has a good explanation of where the difficulty is headed.

I think it might be helpful if you lay out how you think we should think of difficulty because honestly when I plugged the numbers into the calculator that I use I came to a similar conclusion as JWU42.  Pre-order concerns aside that's really the the other thing that would keep me from going with this.

i'm sure you will be able to create a whole new thread on the topic.  Roll Eyes
actually - please, start a whole new thread and stop interrupting a legitimate group buy. thank you.
