Took a look after had a balance to test out the Zed horse racing betting icon today.
Here are some screenshots of what it should display for those who are wanting to know what it is all about:
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another attempt at Bitcoin ETF..You knew it was coming once BTC raised above ATH on: January 03, 2024, 11:51:57 PM
Today there was a rather big drop in the bitcoin price in a short amount of time before most of the Western world had to chance to see it happen on the markets.
The cause: Matrixport calling out a rejection by the SEC

Here is the article all the crypto influencers went by when announcing the news on their podcasts:
https://www.theblock.co/post/270125/sec-will-reject-all-bitcoin-spot-etfs-in-january-says-matrixport-analyst

More of an explanation of what actually happened within the SEC and the meetings they had with some of the companies wanting their spot ETF approvals completed:

A shame of all the injuries amassing for the remaining teams trying to make it into the playoff picture such as the Vikings. They are having a quarterback situation and been looking around for one as Cousins is still hurt and probably has reached that age of retirement in the offseason.

The next set of games are on Saturday between those Ravens and the Steelers along with the Texans and the Colts.
For the Houston Texans they were fortunate to have their star rookie quarterback C.J Stroud back in the lineup who destroyed the Tennessee Titans last Sunday on his return.

Closer the matches are I will be going with a Baltimore and Houston win this first weekend of the year.

^^
Musk has been for many years and the crypto-related community atleast on his X platform had been reminded with the recent starlink launch for mobile phone service:
https://u.today/elon-musk-excites-crypto-army-with-starlinks-new-product

This keeps the names of some of these cryptocurrency projects in the atmosphere and the same breath for Elon.

Someone took a dump?
I was hoping to find the reason here Smiley
This!

I'm blaming this on Jim Kramer
Blame the Mad Money guy for trying to FUD the corn to Wall Street!

What did Cramer say?
Look above my friend. Cheesy
Shows the video from yesterday. And everybody knows of the Inverse Kramer at this point of crypto.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 03, 2024, 11:18:06 AM
Are you guys watching Nadal vs Thiem right now? The match was quite interesting and both were still solid without anyone having their game broken, I think this first set will be decided by a tiebreak. This is a match that is quite eagerly awaited by tennis fans and Nadal looks very ready for this tournament, he played doubles too but lost in the first round.

And Novak Djokovic, who played in the United Cup, reportedly suffered a wrist injury during training but it has not been confirmed and he managed to beat Jiri Lehecka to make Serbia 1-1 and managed to win through mixed doubles where he did not play and was replaced by young Serbian player Hamad Medjedovic.
That was a fairly strong performance from Nadal particularly in the second set to win that 1-6.
The commentators were in awe of his performance and fitness after being out for so long.

Yea I heard about Djokovic injuring his wrist and then pulling out of the mixed doubles. I wonder
how serious that is going to be. It might be very minor but here we were before Christmas talking
about hoe resilient Novak is.
Djokovic just played and lost to De Minaur so this injury has affected his game as the match was done in straight sets 6-4 for both.

Not sure why he didn't just pull out of playing in this United Cup and not get ready with recovering from this injury for the Australian Open which starts on the 14th of the month (13th for Australia).
That tournament should be more important to him in the long run and surely would benefit more with a good performance from this first major of the year.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: January 02, 2024, 11:59:23 PM
Ravens owned the game from the very start as the Fins didn't have any answer for them and just kept getting their key players injured including Tua by the end of it. Looked like he had a problem with his shoulder.

Alot of players are getting injured as I watched a bit of the 49er's match and McCaffrey had in issue with his calf at the end of one play.
Hopefully he got that touchdown for that betslip morv before he was sidelined.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: January 02, 2024, 11:55:24 PM
Another disappointing 0-0 match which was absolutely boring to watch but there was not anything else unless watching AC Milan in the coppa italia or la liga, which didn't interest me in the slightest to watch.
So very sorry to see that bet of yours @ralle14 not even advice with a goal less game.

Yes @arallmuus I noticed that new icon appear the other day called Zed Run but only hovered over it to see what it was. It had to do with horse racing but didn't know it involved with blockchain betting technology.
Very interesting and will give it a try the next time I do a deposit so to place a wager.

Thanks for the research on exactly what it was!
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: January 02, 2024, 11:41:52 PM
If Elon were to introduce a payment structure on twitter/X then it more than likely would be a coin he believes would be more marketable to the users on those platforms.
Here is a short video of when he says he does own bitcoin but also dogecoin and ethereum.

@ralle14
Congratulations on your win and it is a good one for the start of a New Year for your sportsbetting record! Grin

Liverpool had no problems dispensing Newcastle ending in a 4-2 victory.
I was going for a draw but the Reds were just too good and showed why they are now solely atop of the EPL table.

@slaman29
Yes you got to keep your eyes wide open so not to miss these promotions.
Or just turn on email notifications so you get a message once they are available and not have any those sent from SB straight to the spam folder always helps. Wink

Today we have Brighton Hove Albion going against West Ham United in the EPL.

Here are the markets:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/soccer/england/premier-league/west-ham-united-v-brighton-hove-albion-6586f2397c9c2400013b2e28

I favor Brighton to win this match even though the Hammers are at home and the favorites according to the bookies but only slightly.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase on the defensive about these bitcoin ordinal centralized meme coins on: January 02, 2024, 12:06:11 PM
@rdbase About the network congestion and high transaction fees. It actually divided Bitcoin supporters because there are still investors who would like to keep Bitcoin blockchain clean and I am actually one who supports that idea.
It sucks when you are a Bitcoin user, what more without those merchandise are being transacted with the use of Bitcoin? How about El Salvador? It will be difficult to say Bitcoin is really a currency if these things are happening. It will be kept as an asset like gold which I don't think is a good thing.

About those fees, here is the recent experiment of the article I bumped into and they are also blaming it to the ordinals which I believe is a fact.
https://decrypt.co/210168/bitcoin-fees-continue-to-surge-thanks-to-ordinal-mania
Quote
Case in point: Decrypt tried to make a transaction using a mobile wallet, but the fee would’ve been 42% of the amount of BTC selected to send.

Quote
Bitinfocharts data shows that it today costs on average $37.58 to make a transaction. The last time it was that high was back in April 2021. Fees have been exploding since May this year ever since interest in Ordinals took off. At one point they reached $31.14 per transaction.

It's too high and it's an eyesore to see this kind of expensive fees.
Believe it or not those investors aren't who you would think they are.
In China there are conferences trying to onboard grandmas into this hype of ordinals.
When I first heard about it right before Chirstmas I thought it was a complete and utter joke.
But then these images surfaced showing another thing from those BONK tokens called WHEE:

For New Years day we have Liverpool vs Newcastle United which by looking at the markets the home team seem to be heavily favored and will keep them leaders well ahead of everyone else on top of the table.

Here are those markets on Sportsbet.io Premier League for this really good matchup to watch during the first day of the year:

673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 31, 2023, 12:23:42 PM
Finally! Pistons got the win after the worst losing streak in history and Raptors is the victim. Smiley
I had Cunningham 28+ points bet but Markkanen blew my parlay. He shot 0/7 behind the 3-pt line and could score only 12. Whatever, Pistons won tonight and that's the only important news.
LOL hate to be a Pistons fan this year. Unreal losing streak they are on and it's not like the team is terrible. Pistons actually led at the end of every quarter, maybe this game is a momentum builder for them.
The fans right before the game were chanting "Sell the team! Sell the team!" because they hadn't won since October 28th when they had a 2-1 record.
A big black eye for Toronto Raptors to be that team now!
But atleast they saved Monty Williams the Detroit Piston head coach's sanity. Must feel like a huge weight lifted off his back I would imagine.
Due to the fact it had been 63 days since their last win is unheard of in the NBA as it is a new record for consecutive losses in a single season.
A record no team wants to be synonymous for.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: December 31, 2023, 11:48:14 AM
Manchester United were the ones struggling to score against Nottingham Forest and only did so late second half closing in on the 78th minute by Marcus Rashford.
So your bet landed @ralle14 as I had over 3.5 goals in a disappointing Red Devils loss.

For today we have Tottenham Hot Spurs and Arsenal to close off our 2023 as the final fixtures of the year:

https://sportsbet.io/sports/soccer/england/premier-league/matches

Have both teams as favorites to get it done and hopefully neither of them disappoint.
Go you gunners and Up the Arsenal!
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another attempt at Bitcoin ETF..You knew it was coming once BTC raised above ATH on: December 31, 2023, 11:25:46 AM
So the gates have been closed for the first wave to get in having the deadline pass December 29th.
Now the waiting game begins as many are anticipating an approval in the first few days of the new year starting January 4th.
So can we see bitcoin's price rise to new heights since it's all time high of $69,700~ or if it is not approved in the first week of 2024, see it take a massive drop to $32,000 as many are predicting?
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: December 31, 2023, 11:14:46 AM
Dallas is in poor form and hopefully the Lions can capitalize on this and come away with a win being 11-4 so far on the season.
Their recent losses came from road matches, so we'll see if that carries on for today's match.

Even though I would like to root for the Lions to win over the Cowboys, I can't go against the team with the perfect home record. I'm only betting on the Cowboys to win and cover the first-half handicap, as they're one of the teams that tend to score a few TDs or more before halftime.

Edit: Cowboys held in the first half to cash my bet and during that last-minute play from the Lions.  Cheesy
That first half bet did cash for you when I tuned in Cowboys were leading 7-3. Then cameback to catch the final few minutes to see the Lions only a point behind. So it was close match even for as you said a Dallas team who were perfect at home. All those chances for the Detroit to win it with a 2-pt convert because of those penalties against Dallas at the final play of the game.

If we have games like this one for the final day of the year, then we are all in-store for some eventful matches.

Here are the markets for all the NFL games today on this New Years eve:

All 14 games on tap so to make for some exciting football!

^^
I don't think in this match either team scored and it resulted in a goal-less draw correct?
Only watched a highlight reel and it was 0-0 by the 86 minute then it cut off.

Ah well, EPL is back on today before the New Year so we have the first match of the day beginning in 15 minutes with Luton Town taking on Chelsea!
Here are the markets for this match-up:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/soccer/england/premier-league/luton-town-v-chelsea-fc-6586f077b14b9900011dac7f

For some odd reason I am in favor of Luton Town even if they are @5.20x last time I checked but have won a couple of their last matches.
While Chelsea seem to be struggling as I think they were without two of their main players in their last match and probably are going into this one.

Some history about where a BTC futurist thought it could be and where the term HODL came from on here

https://twitter.com/pete_rizzo_/status/1740715034311868608

"I AM HODLING 10 years ago today, this man published a drunken rant to BitcoinTalk in which he unwittingly coined the phrase "HODL."

Also the missed bits because the media likes to divert things towards it's own agenda obviously:

680  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: December 29, 2023, 01:42:23 PM
-snip-
No need to response, but stake can just take action as the feedback development.

It's exchange system-based (tipping). If Stake seeing these as good feedback and see how big is the volume transaction, just like other casino do they just can easily make a system and development on their casino for the exchange service with (3-5% as usuall on every casino).

Then, these service will be died or shutdown by them self without (Stake) response to their service. Simple as that.
The user and/or player below has already stated what they use for their in-site exchange service and I am very much doubtful they will deviate from using another service other than the one they have been using for several years now.

-snip-
Any service from third-parties.

It's always have possibility to become a scam, do you know some legit service that turns on to be scammed? We already see that. So, IMO people should be aware of the risks and use the money they can afford to lose.

IMO, more than 50$ with type crypto like (BTC) better to withdraw and swap them on exchange. These kind of service are just suitable for low amount. Who know, in the future (Stake) add exchange service 3-5% fee ~XD just like other exchange, so they can drain out more money from user ~XD.

I think Eddie already stated that they are not going to create an exchange service, because of all the regulatory requirements and "red tape" that needs to be done to operate that. I think it is just too many hassles to get it off the ground and then to operate it, within the regulatory requirements of the different countries.

They are comfortable with a third party like Dinabot, offering those kinds of services. It would have been nice to have a in-house service, because Dinabot can be a bit tricky and it is expensive.

Also asked the owner if they would be doing any special bonus drops for the New Years and had mentioned they didn't intend any plans to have anymore.
So I think wagering $20k for the week to get $5 bonus drops are out of the question for the remainder of the year. Cheesy
