661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins better or stable during bitcoin lot of movement on: October 12, 2019, 09:03:27 AM
It is note able that almost all altcoins are now 80%to 90% negative from their all time high due to this happen only bitcoin uncertainty.
So what if it is caused by bitcoin price fall? altcoins are dependant on bitcoin whenever bitcoin pump altcoins dump and when bitcoin is dumped altcoins pump this has been happening already for more than 3 years now and you just figured it out right now. Bitcoin is the one who dictates altcoins price so don't blame bitcoin because of your loss on altcoin if you have ever lost money on trading altcoin.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not a "store of value" or "medium of exchange" ... on: October 12, 2019, 08:31:37 AM
then what is bitcoin?  A solution in search of a problem?
Bitcoin is made to be a currency said by the team who developed it but users have found different uses of bitcoin, from a store of value, investment, ways to earn thousands in just a day and more. Bitcoin really is flexible and have a general-purpose in our life, we just need to utilize one at a time depending on our needs.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Croatian post office now offer crypto exchange on: October 12, 2019, 01:50:52 AM
This is a piece of good news for the whole community, considering that it is a state-owned post office is offering an exchange of various cryptocurrency to their local fiats, it just shows that the government really is accepting crypto.
is the Hrvatska Posta owned by the Croatian government or is it a private post?
It is government-owned
Also, why are they only accepting to BUY cryptocurrency from us? Why don't they also sell? Do they require an ID to finish the transaction, considering we need to pay taxes for our cryptocurrency profits? I have a lot of questions actually, if somebody could reply it'd be awesome.. Next time I'm visiting Croatia I have to check this out Smiley
They are only buying cryptocurrency of course to profit, they will set a lower buying price compared to the market for them to generate profit since this is a state-owned office there's a huge chance that verification will be required for each transaction.
664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2019, 09:19:11 PM
Yes, it is possible in fact there already are lending services out there like Binance and many more, they are offering interest rates bigger than what you think. Lending services are everywhere from exchanges and here many people/company is already offering this kind of service.
665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we looking at Bitcoin down to $5K? on: October 11, 2019, 08:38:57 PM
At this point anything can happen, bitcoins price can fall even beyond $5k if the resistance can't handle it. Really bitcoin is unpredictable so we can expect even $3k is really possible at this point and going to $15k again is very possible you know how volatile bitcoin is right.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to miners when Bitcoin limit supply completely mined? on: October 11, 2019, 01:43:15 PM
When the year 2140 comes when all bitcoins are mined miners will still survive for sure but the profit I think would be lessen and they'll be living of pure transaction fees and no more profits on mining ( I guess correct me if I'm wrong). But surely they will profit big on fees because by the time we reach the year 2140 it's sure that bitcoins price will be double might be triple of the current ATH now.
Double? That's all Really? You do get that standard inflation is 2%, it would need to do much more than double in 140 years for people to be going all out for TX fees, just think about much 100$ was worth in 1900, that buying value dropped a massive amount and it will again in 120 years.
I do get that the standard inflation rate is 2% and bitcoin should be able to do and pump more for a hundred years but for me, It is what I believe and hopes for bitcoins price, I've come up to this conclusion considering the fact that bitcoin is maybe gone by that year and we can't see it anymore.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tobacco shops - the way to Bitcoin adoption on: October 11, 2019, 01:06:21 PM
Tobacco shops seem like small transaction amounts though, you'd really have to pay for quite a lot of cigarettes or nice cigars for the transaction to really be viable.
Tobacco shop isn't limited to one product only, they also offer services for smokers. To be clear I'm not a smoker but I have some friends who does smoke tobacco and even though you can see tobacco transactions are small amounts actually there are millions of purchases that  are happening every day in tobacco industry for sure, and to think that 5200 Kepler branches will enable it is a big thing for spreading bitcoin awareness to people.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin equal Blockchain? on: October 11, 2019, 09:53:26 AM
Blockchain is the techonlogy where bitcoin is dependant and all of the altcoins that are alive right now. Without blockchain transactions would be impossible for cryptocurrencies so blockchain and bitcoin/cryptocurrency will never be equal to each other, blockchain I think is alot developed than bitcoin/cryptocurrency itself.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Worrying about the Bitcoin Price on: October 10, 2019, 02:18:38 PM
Well, that's the problem for most bitcoin users/traders out there many of them are weak-minded and weak handed people who can't pass an hour not viewing a glimpse of bitcoins price hour by hour. Is it because they are new or they are just too concerned about the price and their money or they just simply don't feel like investing in bitcoin is their best choice.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Books on: October 10, 2019, 01:10:12 PM
Is there any sense in these books? If you better understand crypto? Have you started to trade better?
The book will become senseless if the reader isn't really understanding what is written in the article if a person basically just read the whole book without understanding it's senseless. Reading books about bitcoin is not about developing your skills in trading but helping you to understand each and every aspect of bitcoin. Reading books will be a really big help if you're gonna understand whats written on it.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How i keep my private keys safe without hardware wallet on: October 10, 2019, 11:15:33 AM

2.My Recording book
I have a long hard shelled book that i use for keeping records of all the airdrops and bounties i promoted because sometimes i used to forget easily so i write down my recovery seeds in this book as well

3. Flash Drive
I have a good 8gig flash drive as well that i use to copy software and files from one pc to another so i format this flash drive and copy my private keys and recovery seeds in it.

This is the best method on what you listed this two will really help a lot if you can't afford to buy a hardware wallet like trezor and many more plus this is the method that I'm also using to keep my passwords and different private keys for my accounts. I can't totally recommend the hard drive method because a hard drive can easily be corrupted (base on my experience).
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrency soon be an alternate payment option? on: October 10, 2019, 09:10:44 AM
Actually cryptocurrency is already an alternate payment option that you can choose when paying online on some websites out there or even some physical stores out there.
Yes, of course, I do own some cryptocurrency namely Bitcoin, XRP and ETH. It is good to have any cryptocurrency stocked up right now when everything is still cheap because im sure when mass adoption comes prices will be different.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam? What to do next. on: October 10, 2019, 07:40:12 AM
So okay, this story didn't happen to me. It happened to a friend (let's call him Bob) of a friend (I will call him Sam).

Bob came to me asking is this a scam and is it legal. Bob doesn't know much about bitcoins and crypto, Sam even less.
Sam somehow got in contact with people who offers to open an account and invest into crypto. These people guaranteed a lot of profit. Sam paid 500 EUR at first and other two times a 2000 EUR.
What is interesting, that these people calling him to invest more. But he has an app (I don't know what app, because I heard it from Bob and he doesn't know either) which shows that Sam has doubled his investment (9000 EUR), but he cannot withdraw it now and these people (from Russia) are calling and rushing him to invest even more.

Bob asked me about that, I said that this is some nonsense. There shouldn't be people calling you and asking to transfer money. All is too fishy.

What should Sam do? Will the police help?

Yes, Sam was became a victim of scammer. Didn't Sam ask why the stranger need him to invest again? That was a bib amount of money dude, your friend became neglectful about the moment He talked to the scammer. But I guess after the incident happened He learn from his lesson now.
Well that's what newbie who doesn't know to ask before they go into something gets, Sam simply got swayed by the scammer thinking that it would be good if he invest there and he ask no opinion about it and keep sending and sending money without even being able to withdraw some of his "profit",
674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now you can buy Bitcoin from the grocery store on: October 10, 2019, 07:11:30 AM
In the U.S. there are these machines in grocery stores called "Coinstar"...they were originally used for fiat coins but now they've modified them so you can buy Bitcoin from them. This is great for mass adoption!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZvXq--LwfA&feature=youtu.be
Please do update the video so new person who read this thread will have time to take a look at it, it shows that the video is unavailable and set to private, or is it just me thats having this issue?
The one who made that machine deserves to be recognized that's a great tool to spread bitcoin awareness to other people specially it is placed in a crowded place.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BNB the Next Bitcoin? on: October 10, 2019, 05:35:39 AM
No matter how fast or how big BNB's growth is, it still needs a very long way to go in order to beat bitcoin or just be on par with it. If they aim to beat bitcoin they must first overcome those altcoins that in their way, Even Ethereum and XRP I think will be a hard competition for BNB.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptocurrency is better than fiat currency? on: October 10, 2019, 05:07:53 AM
Cryptocurrency can really be on par with fiat currency but still doesn't have the power to overcome fiat currency in terms of being usable in our daily market now, yes you are right that as years pass bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency scene is getting recognized by the world but it also makes a lot of news and threat to the government which can be a hindrance to our goal of bitcoin replacing fiat currencies because they are trying to make a move to take over bitcoin and stop it right away.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holding will be worth this year or in the long run? on: October 10, 2019, 04:28:56 AM
If that $10B worth of bitcoin will be moved and sold immediately that will cause chaos and whenever these coins are moved im sure this will create a big question for us and price of bitcoin will either go down or go pump because of that, some people may panic and sell urgently and some people will start getting curious about the moving of bitcoin funds from these exchanges.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to miners when Bitcoin limit supply completely mined? on: October 09, 2019, 11:45:37 PM
When the year 2140 comes when all bitcoins are mined miners will still survive for sure but the profit I think would be lessen and they'll be living of pure transaction fees and no more profits on mining ( I guess correct me if I'm wrong). 679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: October 09, 2019, 10:43:20 PM
But none of them have been successful as bitcoin is. Why is that?
Actually, some of them are as successful as bitcoin is if you're gonna look closely, look at big altcoins below bitcoin most of them are trash before and look how successful they are now tailing bitcoin in the chart of CMC.

Why no altcoin can replace bticoin?
There's a reason why. Though there are a lot of successful altcoins out there nothing is more powerful and influencing than bitcoin is, no one defeats the demand that bitcoin is generating through these years. And to think that there are too many altcoins the supporters are not that many as bitcoin is because some people prefer and support different altcoins.
680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Most Redundant Topic In This Forum on: October 09, 2019, 08:36:41 PM
I think it is normal for people to question why bitcoins price suddenly dropped and pumped. The only wrong thing they are doing is spamming the forum posting the same thread over and over again while there is already a thread posted for that such kind of talk. Some users here are not even reading news about bitcoin they are just going by the flow so some of them are not aware of why bitcoin drops and pump from time to time.
