661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DCORP Crowdsale - Democratizing Venture Capitalism on: May 26, 2017, 09:19:30 AM
Found it on signature campaign and soon after read the posts here and website. looks like very promising.
Regarding translation count me in for the Greek version if you need it.

Like you, I'm a participant in their signature campaign. Not too surprised when they held a campaign with good paying. This is a big project, it is full of potential. I hope it develops well, if possible, I am thinking about investing in this project.
I think we need to save some ETH before the angel day, it is still week before we reach the Angel day, so I think we must find some way to gain them, maybe convert some of our money or bitcoin to ETH. I just hope that we can save enough ETH for the Angel day, evennif it is a week, it is not that easy to get some, I don't want to convert my Bitcoins.
662  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're reaching $3,000 soon! on: May 25, 2017, 09:03:17 PM
really soon, that we almost break the $3,000 wall but the price dumped, and now i think they will recovering ASAP than we expect
i predict only taking 10 days would be enough to break the $3,000 wall. but dumped after staying a while on $3,000 wall

I think that is really the price where we will see a $3000, it dumped a a big price now so I think it will be staying low for a while now, maybe giving chances to other people who are not able to take their money to investing on bitcoin.

664  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: May 25, 2017, 05:17:07 AM
The future of bitcoin is bright buy now or cry later. as the price increase we must ride the trend. we might be late but still good than never. But the price of BTC now are too expensive, might dump soon and bounce back higher that ATH.

I think that is right, so bright that is blocking in the eye of many people like the sun. It will really hurt your eyes when you see the price of bitcoin. It can be bought by some rich people now but not by other normal person. I just hope it can still dump, many peope still want to invest on bitcoin.
665  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: May 25, 2017, 02:27:03 AM
governments simply aren't interested in incorporating bitcoin. they can't deal with the fact that it is something they can't control. paper money will stay at least for another 10-20 years.
Yes I really agree with you

Where technology continues to grow.
Where everyone will need technology wherever and whenever people no longer use paper money to buy goods or any shopping.

Paper money will stay almost forever, how can you say that it will just last that short time? Without paper money or fiats, bitcoin is worthless, you even need to convert your bitcoin so you can use it efficiently especially in third world country where bitcoin is not really popular or known. Fiats will be replaced by digital currency if ttansactions are fast, if everyone wants to use bitcoin with anonymity and with bitcoin being centralized, and no one would like that.
666  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terrorist siege in the Philippines. on: May 25, 2017, 12:41:24 AM
This is a pretty tough situation for our beloved President. He already declares are martial law for our safety. The only thing that scars me is that if he will gong to extend the martial law sratus in the visayas region

It is a really tough situation, and also decision for the President. He said in many conferences that he will not declare Martial Law unless it is needed, but now it is, there are still senators that are not approved with these decision by the President, though they have their points, I think the President is really wanting impatient, based on what the other senators said, but I think they had talked about these matter with the Presidents cabinet members.

Many people also don't want the decision made by the president,  they are saying "atat" to the president, they said that the president is being impatient and saying that it is not the solution for it, and then I ask myself what is the solution if it's now Martial Law? we can't just let loose those terrorist that killed a lot of people.

And I think, it will be extended in Visayas region, as president said, it is just a walking distance to mindanao, so there will be no reason to extend it to Visayas. I just hope you all understand why the President is doing these decisions.
667  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are in a bubble but it will peak at $4000-$5000 on: May 24, 2017, 10:43:54 PM
The current price has reached 2450USD. This is a remarkable price increase. We have reached to a wonder thing. Maybe 4000USD is a number that can be achieved in the next few months. And this will continue along with the development of bitcoin.

That is almost half of the normal price last month, it is really a remarkable price. But the thing is, we don't know what might happen, we are not sure if $4000 is the next price, but I think these year, it will be just playing around $3000 to $4000. I think it can't increase more than that unless something happen like ETF approval, said at the previous reply.
668  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: May 24, 2017, 02:17:39 PM
Just tell them that they can buy lots of candies when they started earning bitcoin.
And i think this is the simpliest but effective idea to teach kids about bitcoin.

Well not all kids are into candies if you ask me. And even if you tell them that they might earn something if they do some tasks, they will be bored to death, bitcoin is a boring stuff for kids, they are Fantasy, Magic and princesses minded. They are not that into computer especially these digital currencies.
669  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: May 24, 2017, 09:40:56 AM
Indeed its becoming Global currency...
now no more have to rely on banks, paperwork, custom issue..
we can transfer money easily from anywhere...
No, it is not. At this stage bitcoin is NOT capable for becoming one. It is not at all scalable. Look at the clogged transaction on blockchain.  US dollar is global currency and will remain so. In order to become the global currency bitcoin needs to be scalable to handle the load efficiently.

That is right, with all of the clog in the transaction, bitcoin, becoming a global currency is really hard. If it becomes a global currency, then it means, most of the people here on Earth will be using it, so think what might happen to the transaction, imagine a one way road, with just two lane and full of cars, that is how it will be if it is not scaled.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch cinemas using bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 08:38:25 AM
http://www.coindesk.com/movietickets-com-bitcoin-payments-900-movie-theaters/

Are you from the USA have you already heard of a cinema accepting bitcoins as payment. A post was made by Pete Rizzo at coindesk dated June 15, 2015 saying that Movie Tickets.com will bring bitcoin to over 900 US movie theaters all over the United States. I was glad to read such article but given the date I am not certain if they have already implemented it or the theaters in the USA are already started to accept bitcoins.

Your thoughts on this..
This is the coolest thing that I have read in all day, I have to admit that I got very excited when I read that. I had never thinking implement Bitcoin as payment method for movies,  would never have occurred to me. This is bring Bitcoin to people that probably not even heard about btc ever.

I think it is not that cool, in fact I am expecting these to happen. I think it will be really happening these days, but what I am thinking is how long will I be waiting so I can get my ticket and how long will they wait for my transaction/payment. With these little by little, other who don't know bitcoin will be knowing it, I just hope they'll be also attracted to it.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 05:58:43 AM
Yeah i also see some statements about this bitcoin being a cause of criminal things like drugs and terrorism, they are abusing bitcoins anonimity feature in order to do that illegal things freely

I think this criminal activities using a bitcoin has been predicted by many people especially big names and the government, but with the popularity of bitcoin, I think they can't stop people from using them, and the fact that it also helps their country to develop their economy.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin ever replace conventional money? on: May 24, 2017, 03:06:17 AM
No it will never happened, the country need fiat to stabilize the country's economics, and fiat also got its own advantage, the government will not allowed the people to control the economics, so fiat will never be replaced by bitcoin or alt coins

Same with it will be hard to implement or introduced bitcoin as a exchange for country fiats, it will be impossible for government needs to ficus on national issues than change currency ,but btc can be the lead in online terms.

I also cannot imagine people buying things and buyers, not knowing where to deliver it because of the anonymity. And if bitcoin becane a fiat, I wonder of the third world country will be riding the same wave as the first worlds. I just hope it can be treated more like a currecy, than an asset.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: May 24, 2017, 01:13:40 AM
I think it is yes they are using bitcoin to buy drugs from dark net they want the transaction clean no one knows where did you use your bitcoin right? It remains anonymous and it will be shown as normal transaction maybe those terrorist are using bitcoins too or those illegal drug users who are always using bitcoin for them to buy drugs from internet.

Bitcoin is pseudo anonymous, but the drug itself isn't. Who buys drugs need to receive it somehow, via post office for an example. If the country's vigilance is good enough and if there is technology, it's easy to track drugs and get who is trafficking it, committing this crime. The problem is that the responsibles for getting these thieves don't do their work correctly, most of times they receive bribery to stay quietly...
One can be caught when buying drugs but if you are not in the list there would be no problem, however they just choose bitcoin
as a payment method because it has not trail of your personal information and anyone can launder the money online.

Listed or not listed, it doesn't matter. As long as drugs are are illegal in your country, you can be caught anytime soon. So it is better to stop using them as much as you can, who knows what might happen.
674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: May 24, 2017, 12:56:41 AM
I couldn't think of a better place to post this and I think it's fitting here. I just sold my stash of 6 years at $2,200. I just couldn't stand to wait any longer and I'm not greedy. Bitcoin definitely made me rich (not really rich elite but rich enough for me). Everything I own is paid off (houses, cars, Horizon 350 Four Winns boat - everything). I have everything I want and more. Hookers and beer for the rest of my life.

I hope bitcoin goes to a million dollars each and all of you get everything you want. I won't be disappointed if it does (because I kept a couple for a rainy day  Wink ). I'll still be around here to make fun of you when required (maybe not as much as before though). Good luck to you all and don't forget that it not illegal to sell your coins.

Makes me wanna write a song for ya!

Cheers brah!

That's nice to hear there are lots of successful bitcoiners now and its all because we got a chance to knew bitcoin earlier . Soon I hope I'll be able to have things bought from bitcoin. Will work hard for it.

Congratulations man, that is really great, and you make these guys really inspired to invest their money on bitcoin. I just hope we are just successful as you are.

677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: May 14, 2017, 09:36:31 PM
Gambling is wrong, if we continue to do so by risking money we have from hard work. While in gambling only two: win or lose. When we win we are happy, if lost that's risk.
There's no two possibilities in gambling as you say.
It is not true that you say separately to win or lose.
There is a new possibility, neither to win nor lose is just to have fun.

IF you lose money from hard work with gambling, then it depends whether it would be right or wrong for you. Some people don't feel regret with losing money because they're having fun while doing it. What makes it wrong Is if you're not gambling with your own money and if you're gambling too much that it already is affecting the people around you. It's going to be your decision and your own regret if you lose money but you have to make sure that you don't drag other people into it

I do not understand why you always look at the negative side. Of course there are losers, but the winners are there without having to cheat. I usually choose dice gambling, and my losses are not much.

I doubt that, you play dice gambling and you don't lose that much? Dice Gambling are really based on luck, if you really are not losing that much then you are just luck, but you play usually making me wonder how do you do it. I play dice games a lot too, but I am just using their faucet, and I won so many times, but I lose way more than that
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: May 14, 2017, 01:20:58 PM
I heard that in the underworld, people prefer to use cash because with it they are more difficult to track down. When you are about to commit a deal under the radar with crypto, the trust in the network is not the real issue, but communication... Often, it is easier to just meet with someone IRL and give him the funds if you do not want anyone else to know.

I think it is the opposite, mostly, in "underworld", people don't want to know their identity, if you use cash, you can be identified, well, you will be handing that money, eventually you can be caught. With bitcoin and it's pseudo anonymous address, you can send bitcoin without knowing who you are or where did you get that bitcoin. It is an ideal currency for such actions and activities right?
679  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: May 14, 2017, 04:10:24 AM
Undoubtedly it provide some income, it serve as a sideline work to me and my friends because being at the school and working in the real world is tough, so we have no choice but to work online and here in these furom and participating in the campaigns is the best shot we've got.

That makes sense, and from what you have said I think you are a student, which is really good to help you with your study finances, I don't know which school accepts bitcoin as a tuition but it is good. And not just the campaign are the ones where we can earn bitcoin, there are a lot of ways, you just need to open your eyes.
