Guys, this coin is a cool idea, but it's just a technical exercise between geeks at the moment - it stands no chance of success if it's not promoted to real people and fresh hands are enticed in.
In this way it reminds me of aircoin, lots of brains but little interest in marketing and , like aircoin, time will run out.
Is anyone working on a media push?
Probably true. Any idea's on how we can do this? It's a tricky one because, at the moment, this coin is fairly and squarely aimed at geeks and miners, there's not a lot to entice non-crypto types into the fold. We should look at other coins and see how they have done it, BC and DRK are probably good examples to look at. We should also look at AIR to see how not to do it. Edit: Ok, Myriad's big thing is security, how do we bring that to the fore? Could we maybe get a uni's math or computer department involved? Some kind of hacking competition? If we think MYR is secure, we should put it to the test - shows confidence and transparency. I'm just throwing this out, it's prolly a crap idea.

100% true. https://twitter.com/fullhdpixel/status/453237146154180608"@myriadcoin @neuroMode Bring crypto to the people. Don't make this information less opaque. A very important word for Myriad: the hidden gem" I've just seen myriad's responses to your tweet, I'm a bit disappointed. They seem to think that any publicity is hype which is ridiculous and will lead to the slow death of this coin when another takes the same ideas of MYR, but actually promotes it and lets the world know it exists. Remember also that this is a declining market at the moment, so time is literally running out. They are actively trying to hide the existence of Myriad and it is only a matter of time before someone else takes the initiative to build a similar, but successful coin.

Probably gonna mine this, just because of the proof of hate thing I claim my free coins also, thanks.

Just wanted to mention that I have just had the fastest support response ever from cryptorus.com whilst mining on their skein pool. Recommended.

Actually, it's not my coin ,but your coin. Why scrypt again? Should we like X11 more than scrypt?
why do you want X11? It is already GPU mineable now and will be common soon. You guys just run after the name "X11" Don't even know it is full of bugs and can mine via GPU now. Noobs be like "we want X11". So what do you want?

The biggest problem for all coins is a real-world use.
People need to get off the technicalities, which only interest a few, and make a real, genuine marketing push.
The coin with the best marketing is going to win, real people don't give a shit which algo was used to create the blocks.

I really suggest turning the GPU's off & just trade.
[/b][/size] How are you going to trade when there are no miners to deal with transactions?

UPDATE - Something came up over PM, The division of a coin, I am not to keen on paying 0.0000001 amounts (which is end game I know) So how do we work out the coins as to not have too many decimal places? There are a little over 7 billion people on this planet, Do we make 100+ billion coins so there is enough for everyone? do we limit to 2 places and keep in line with current FIAT denominations?
no, we dont need places at all. the coin should and must have its smallest unit is ONE. ( 1 coin ) this should be its unique characteristics, and this can play the role in the trading. Yes, please make this coin indivisible. If you make too many coins you will end up on the XPM exchanges and ignored. It needs to be tradeable with BTC.

That would be Stoopid
That would mean mining is stupid, not stoopid. Over and out. Your missing the point the whole thing is stupid stoopid. I think the coin slogan should be "Im wit stoopid" or "are you stoopid" or maybe " Im Stoopid Rich" I get the point ok, but it still needs to be viable.

Am I right that all coins will be mined in a week?
How will the network run after then?

Pool showing 0.06 diff Wallet showing 2.x diff CGminer showing 19 diff Diff is all over the place, forked? OK, seems to have settled now.....

I think he is symply trying to get his wallet synced, not mining
Ah, right, I mis-understood when he said he'd not found any blocks.

In short yes create one with the content given on the site as example. Name it coin.conf and place it in the previously mentioned folder
Added the coin.conf, but still no Blocks, and wallet still stuck on (not synchronised). Do I need to install something else besides the wallet? And if so, why is that not posted on the https://e-gulden.com/ website? Are you trying to solo? If you are, you are out of luck (diff is somewhere around 20) unless you have pretty monstrous hash power. Better to use pools now. Most of the above is gibberish to me, as I said, I am a complete noob, lured in by the idea of getting the gulden back. I will read up on bit-/litecoins over the weekend, and try to get this working. Right now I know to little about this stuff to ask the right questions. I am having some strong feelings against the entire EFL and/ or http://e-gulden.com people though, a simple how-to would have been nice... OK, as simply as I can, assuming you have a ATI gpu capable of running the software.: Go and register on one of the pools on the OP, then set up a worker on the pool. Then download cgminer and put it on the desktop. Get the one compatible with litecoin, later versions of cgminer do not support scrypt which is the algo used in EFL Go to the getting started page on your pool and copy and paste the line for cgminer into a file called start.bat in the cgminer folder on your desktop, it will look something like this: ./cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://emc2.suprnova.cc:3366 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password (Don't use this line, use the line on the pool.) Change: ./cgminer to cgminer.exe weblogin.worker to your worker name on the pool. Worker pasword to your password save it and then double click it, cgminer should start, albeit prolly quite slowly. You then need to "tune" your gpu, do a search for litecoin hardware comparison and work it out from there. The reason they tend not to put instructions in the OP is because different systems need different settings and it won't be long before the thread just turns into a hardware thread rather than a coin thread.

Can't connect to stratum, signed up no problem. Stratum is up. Edit: Errrr, it looks like 28 hours for coins to confirm on this pool, is that right? Edit edit: Pool just found first block.

i got 1 mh
Not likely you'll get anything, I have 6mh/s + and not found a block for 50+ mins. Wait for the pool and practice solo'ing on a coin with a really low diff.
