Kaboooooooooom!

Next key level is .05472 (has almost traded already) and if it doesn't hold .043 and .037 will be the next stop for this double decker with its wheels coming off.

That's all you've got to say?

I guess so. When there's nothing to say, der just ain't nutin to say.

Keep drinking the Kool Aid.

You are smarter than some though as it's better than putting your foot in your mouth like those who then dedicate their time to deleting their nonsense (instead of just keeping the trap shut in the first place!).

This one's from your fearless leader (or would that be mindless . . .):

When I studied for my series 65, I came by some information about why trading sort term doesn't work long term. It's all based on internal bias, the people all eventually go broke (or more likely they tread water when you include the fees in the mix). It's really difficult to do it correctly, it's much easier to find projects you agree with on a philosophical level, fundamental level, then just put your money on them. If your vision of the future is correct and you're aligned with the correct concepts you'll make money and the free market will work properly.

We need traders, but it's like we need miners. Neither make money on the network until they're expert level.

Trading only works well for the 5% who are capable of limiting their decision making to strict probabilistic analysis.

The rest should employ longer term buy and hold, dollar cost averaging, and balanced portfolio strategies.

As for the rest of what you say, I guess we just need to give you guru status and drink the Kool Aid, right? "Philosophical level", "fundamental level", and be "aligned with the correct concepts", hey that's some good shit you're smokin' there!

And as for miners not making money until they're experts, uh, how does that work? You must be a genius cause that's just way over my head.  Cheesy

683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 02, 2017, 12:20:25 PM

lots of lines

Don't know how your chart is calculating its averages but the 'death cross' on the 4-hour chart happened away back at 0.01 with RSI up in the 60's and we've retraced 40% since then.

4-hour MACD has gone positive and RSI is now on the oversold boundary.

The "Death Cross" is derived from the 50 and 200 moving averages. You know, if you don't know what you're talking about, it's better just to shut up instead of looking like a fool, isn't it?

BTW, you do this all the time, even with the things that you are a self-proclaimed expert on. Aren't you aware of this aspect of your personality? (I'm beginning to think that the answer is no.)

Finally, when you change a quote to something that wasn't said, you further undermine whatever intellect you hoped others might think you have . . . and more so when what you say is an attempted summary that once again shows just how ignorant you are on the subject.

As an aside I must say that I'm blown away by the fact that a bunch a Wayne's World wannabes have been able to pull off the con you guys have. It's amazing, and very telling about the kind of market you tapped into and what that still means for crypto.

Snake oil comes in many forms.

This thread reminds me of a local loony bin Saturday flee market complete with carnival barkers at every turn.

Starting with "Duffy" and moving down (or up, depending upon your "perspective"), with everyone and myself included, I think it's a disgraceful spectacle that is doing crypto nothing more than giving it a very black eye.

Very embarrassing. Very two bit.

Nevertheless, while it certainly will cause many to think twice, the fiat tidal wave that is what's really been moving these markets has only just started.

And the wise, the wiser.

I created a newbie account just to troll DASH.

IGNORED

Groupthink is a psychological phenomenon that occurs within a group of people in which the desire for harmony or conformity in the group results in an irrational or dysfunctional decision-making outcome. Group members try to minimize conflict and reach a consensus decision without critical evaluation of alternative viewpoints by actively suppressing dissenting viewpoints, and by isolating themselves from outside influences.

Groupthink requires individuals to avoid raising controversial issues or alternative solutions, and there is loss of individual creativity, uniqueness and independent thinking.

Whose only defense is intimidation and ridicule of those with non-conforming opinions, or the "trolls" as they're often maligned, and in the process they miss any and all invaluable opportunity to critically evaluate alternative viewpoints that just might have helped them from eventually getting their collective heads handed to them . . . and that's when the wheels come off the bus.

How many transaction can dgb handle per minute? :

1-3 second transaction notifications. 15 second DigiByte blocks. DigiBytes are confirmed after 1.5 minutes.
the speedy 300+ transaction per second. Future DigiByte upgrades will push transaction limit to several thousand per second.

By the looks of the activity in this thread, this coin looks to be about as dead as they can get. On the other hand, the basic "services" like the blockchain explorer continue humming along so the person experienced enough can see that it's not as dead as this thread makes it look. Then there are coins out there with broken block explorers, others with zero payouts, others just complete scams, etc. that are flying simply because they have active Bitcointalk forums.

Not all that glitters is gold, but it sure attracts attention!

And if what you've got really is gold, why are you neglecting it? Why aren't you promoting it with everything you've got? Why is this community not pounding home to the world every minute of every day the 1000:1 BTC:DGB ratio?  . . . just to name one example of one of the many things that could be continually talked about . . .
689  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: March 30, 2017, 10:06:57 PM
...
I'm beginning to think along the lines that crypto in general is an excellent investment and that the key task at hand is not so much to try and pick the best, rather the priority should be to first isolate and identify the fakes, then the unsound and insecure, and only then start ranking the serious contenders.

Opinions?
Very well said!
I would add to your statement just
- a drop of reasonable money management and
- a bit of common sense
and there are opportunities almost daily now to grow your investment in whole crypto in general.
I personally would say that the best opportunities to make money and I mean real money with no risk are the ones that you earn them from hard work not just from putting money and waiting for the price to go up, look for what people are asking for like jobs and find out what skill does it require and take the time to learn it and then you can start offering it for bitcoin and them more skills you have the more money you earn.

Today LCT and XRP are rocketing. The fiat that is coming into crypto is so convinced of huge long term gains and thinks prices are so low that running the entire sell stack at once paying premiums of 50% and more on what they consider to be extremely undervalued investments doesn't even make them think twice about it and they don't bat an eye.

You've heard of BFTD, and BFTH, and BTFATH, well we've got a new one: BTWFS = Buy The Whole Fucking Stack

It's been a nice month of March for Diamond. ~100% gain off the lows, which was a second low in two months translating into a possible intermediate term double bottom. Like so many others, the DMD chart looks very bullish to me. It's amazing how many charts have this similar pattern of putting in two important lows after months and months of basing and that are beginning to rally now, right on cue, because, hey, it's the seasonal thing to do too!

691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔DigiByte Gaming - CS:GO, LoL, DiguSign it?, DigiSpeed on: March 29, 2017, 09:58:58 PM
I was expecting a flash pump on DGB like XBC, but a steady increase like DCR is even better.

Steady is better indeed. I bought so many dgb during its fall, my heart would not survive the thrill of a pump. :-D

DGB is clearly at the top of the list of the coins that least fell back from their highs. It's only 10% off its recent high of over a 180% gain, and still in a clear uptrend. Not bad at all. The majority of the pumps have falling back at least 50% (most of yesterday's big green is today's big red).

But hey, that was still a very solid wave of "across the board" buying even if they have fallen back.

Crypto is close to going primetime, and the question now becomes: are you ready for primetime?

I been telling you guys noble coin would one day be noticed. now bask in your riches. I myself have not sold one single noble coin. i Hodl. its worth far more than 60 - 70 sats how about 560 to 800 sats. Fish

it will
but not yet

i full trust in jason

but this pump was not related to any real milestone reached
just a traders game

small trader small game
big trade big game

within 3 months we will be at 10 again

great to accumulate on the way down if ya sold
or sell some if ya didnt already while its still at 22+

I'm not so sure it was just a traders' game. Way too big.

Posted this just now explaining my ideas. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1165958.msg18383903#msg18383903

Started talking about this last year when we first saw signs of what I consider to be clear fiat movement into crypto, but nothing like on this scale. It was just a trickle in comparison, in the same way I imagine we'll be calling the last days and weeks a trickle in comparison with what is to come sometime in the not too distant future.

I think we are at the beginning of something mind-boggling big - in every way from the blowouts, to imprisoned, to the huge legitimate winners. It's no longer a basement hobby.
693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: March 29, 2017, 09:30:52 PM

I mentioned a couple of days ago (below) that I think there are signs that crypto is in a verified bull market, and a secular one at that! "All boats rise in a rising tide", and the fiat demand is going to overwhelm whatever halfway decent crypto supply there is. We need look no further than the recent "across the board" pump in the entire Altcoin complex. ALL the Alt's saw a pump (or just about). I surmise that was caused by BTC owners selling part of their BTC holdings to the fiat newcomers and then "reinvesting" those realized profits in Altcoins in as diversified way as possible - after all, who knows at this point just who will survive and who won't. It sounds reasonable and plausible. I think the money flow (the order and intensity of the individual rallies, the little we hear in the trade about what people are doing and where interest is increasing, and the very visible advent of USD double figure competitors to BTC, etc.). I'm beginning to think along the lines that crypto in general is an excellent investment and that the key task at hand is not so much to try and pick the best, rather the priority should be to first isolate and identify the fakes, then the unsound and insecure, and only then start ranking the serious contenders.

Opinions?

Perhaps better as new thread?

I think it's quite obvious to anyone who's been around for a while that there are significant amounts of fiat buying crypto. I personally think it's obvious anyway. What do you think? Is there any data anywhere reflecting the "money flow" into crypto? Do Coinbase and its brethren publish information in this regard? Poloniex? Bittrex? The only thing I can say is that I don't think what we're seeing is just BTC profits "diversifying". And who's on the buy side of those BTC prices that are generating those profits to be diversified in the first place?
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: March 29, 2017, 09:02:03 PM

QORA is the winner, I think, by making you jump through 3 announcement threads to get to the current thread!

I think it’ll be tough to find a coin with more.

(Starting with Google, of course. https://www.google.com/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=nx7cWM31GOiJ8Qf7l6L4Dg&gws_rd=ssl,cr&fg=1#q=bitcointalk+qora&*  )

Seriously now, correct me if I'm wrong, but there is new block generation with 0, as in zero, reward?

And the richest wallet has over 66% of the entire supply in it?

And people are paying good money for it?

What am I missing?

I don't get the AltCoin love affair/fetish with "behind the scenes" and "repeat it over and over again in private" when you can do it once and make it public.

Why not put the "walk through" up here in public in a HOW-TO and get it done with once and for all?

 Huh   Huh   Huh

Join slack, we'll walk you through it and you can post it here  Smiley and we'll all be thank full for your positive contribution

No thanks. I'm open source that is freely available to the public and no sign-up is necessary. Secrecy, cults, and the like turn me off.

Furthermore, slack is designed for work groups, not for dissemination of information (much less tech support and/or database/FAQ building), and the improper use demonstrates lack of knowledge about its use (or other ulterior motives) and completely undermines whatever professionalism you might be trying to achieve in the process.

Of course, that is all just my humble opinion and understanding of professional work environments and end user tech support. Wink

Challenge to sceptics that have added so much to this experience who think they understand monetary economics.

Test your theory out  Grin

Create yourself an:

 • 'instamined'
 • 'controlled by the few'
 • 'liquidity constrained'
 • 'prisoner's dilema'
 • 'transparent blockchain'

coin.

Don't add any:

 • hard work
 • structured design priorities
 • personal stress
 • monetary sensitivity
 • inclusion of forgotten stakeholders
 • respect for monetary history
 • understanding of markets
 • self sustaining budgets
 • sense of adventure
 • respect for trolls

...and see how far you get Wink

Is that a confession?  Shocked

With mitigating circumstances?

A plea bargain? Cheesy

Baikal still accepts Payments In BTC LTC AND DASH.

So you are spreading disinformation.

How much are your earnings at the new pool, guys? Same, more, less?

More than the other pools currently but less than weminemue, i think that may be because difficulty is rising. I used to be able to get almost 1000 mue per day with a Baikal mini. Now I'm getting between 300-400...

Perhaps someone with more experience than me can comment on why my Baikal is generating less at this new pool than it used to at weminemue.....thanks everyone!!!

I getting 550- 600/24h on my Baikal mini on weminemue.com but diff is rising, and than u get less but price will fly to the sky.

Diff has roughly doubled since the doubling in price from the ~600 SAT area to the ~1200 zone, so a 50% reduction in mining rewards is completely normal and to be expected.

Don't forget about e-pool ( http://p2pool.e-pool.net:5856/static/ ). It works quite nice, it's run by professionals, and there's only a 0.25% fee. Remember that it is a PPLNS pool (which discourages pool hopping) and that you need to wait for several blocks to be found before your rewards reach the level they would immediately be on a PPS pool, and it's not like you lose anything since you keep receiving rewards for a while after leaving even when you're no longer mining, so it all comes out in the wash.
