look like we bounced pretty hard on our support trend line, some bear have been burned as usual. i can't wait to see this new encrypted messaging release working  Open source our old tech is a good idea, a lot of people have trust issue. Talking about the road map, we will be clearly overdelivered again with pre rev 3 UI in rev 2.5. Whould be great if we had some tech members testing the anonymity of our last annon transaction feature (mixer + multipath...). Our team doesn't set up a bounty yet but we can still put our tecnology at test with a "challenge " test phase. If we find a leak it would be great because our team would be able to fix it and improve XC before REV 3 final product. If we don't find anything it proove XC is already really strong even if it's not finished. +1. We'd love some testers or well known devs to take a look at the code. It's old tech now, but hey, a month ago it was new tech. ;-) And yes, we did bounce off the support trendline, so XC is still ascending. ..... Why will it continue to drop, do you think? Yeah. True. You're very welcome to post a bunch of stuff. In fact, it would be better coming from a community member than from the XC PR guy. Would you be up for it? Check out ATCsecure's posts if you need dates/info. Yeah no probs. I wont spam the front page with it all now but I'll try to keep XC near the top to some degree, and certainly share all the future announcements. |

Yeah, same thing is on my mind. Good news comes out .... and a 10k dump comes. Everything I learned about crypto seems to work opposite with XC. Am still in, sold nothing and will keep holding my precious . . . . You're right that things seem to work in the opposite way for XC lately. If were to guess why, I'd say that competitors know we're for real. They really don't want to be surpassed. So they dump coins mined early on to keep XC appearing as if nothing big is happening. But it is, and they've got it coming. Of course this is pure speculation, but hey. It's a lame and short-lived tactic to keep dumping coins at cheap prices. Before long the news will be too good and even their dumping will make no difference. And before long they'll run out of cash and we'll be free of them henceforth. I was thinking the same thing Arlyn. It seems to be the only explanation. The crypto war seems to be quite evident and XC is a huge contender and force to be reckoned with. Holding strong as good times are coming folks. Yeah. I don't have a better explanation, that's for sure. Why else would someone dump on good news? So basically I'm just interpreting this dumping as perverse good news. It's a sign that we're a serious threat. Note to self: next time someone dumps on news, smile and wait patiently for the fundamentals to express themselves ;-) To be a little more strategic, we can just buy these dumps up. Put in support for the price and you're gonna get cheap coins. The more support, the faster this mystery whale runs out of coins to dump, and the richer we all get. :-) If a whale feels threatened because they think were onto a winner, why would they dump XC over whatever else it is that they are worried is inferior? |

The word is that it will feature a "Skype-like" messaging interface, with a list of users on the left.
Nice, - are the messages stored in the blockchain? - can you chat if you're behind a firewall or nat and can't do port forwarding? - Messages go through the end-to-end encrypted P2P tunnelling built into the core of the Xnode right back in Rev 1. - Basically where Bitcoin has a broadcasting system, XC has the encrypted Xnode protocol. - This means that your messages don't get preserved for perpetuity in a blockchain (which would be a terrible idea for private messaging :-) - Technical details re. firewalls, NAT, etc. will become available upon the release. Will the messaging require XC coin to be held to use? Like a token... Therefore increasing demand for the currency? Not a pay to use system but rather a proof that you hold xc? I don't think so. Actually I think we'd prefer to lower the barrier to entry because it maximises the number of chat users. More chat users means more apps left running, which means more nodes to process transactions :-) But yeah, some sort of minimum XC requirement might be a good idea too. Sorry I'm confused about the terminology, is the end-to-end encrypted P2P tunneling a direct tunnel between the two chatting nodes, or does it route through other nodes? Update from Dan: XC messaging has an advantage over many chat apps because if you're not online, it's still possible to send you messages. The current setting stores pending messages for 48 hours; this could be extended in future. Lastly, it's more of a chat app than an email app at present. Nice to have that clarified. It's not direct since this is effectively XC's broadcasting system. That's how pending messages can be stored and delivered when you come online. CORRECTION: it is direct. Hah, glad I double-checked with the devs about this. Messages are still stored when the recipient is offline. Is it going to be as secure as PGP messaging (not that I understand this a great deal) Basically, will the messages be 100% unreadable by anyone other than sender and receiver? It'll be a LOT more secure. It uses public key encryption, like the rest of a cryptocurrency. Plus it's decentralised. No third parties. Done. Good stuff! Announcing the latest version of the XC App: Rev 2.45! Private transactions now only take 4 minutes (instead of 30). This software is beta. Private transaction features are still under testing. However you cannot lose coins on a private transaction. Please back up your wallet.dat before installing, and maintain a backup of your private keys at all times. For help on this, visit the how-to. Its hard to be patient when we are getting no info.
Sure, no problem. No offense taken. I'm thinking mostly of yesterday. To give you an idea of what it's like on my side, it's like this: - several new things going on business-wise - can't announce them before they're signed off and ready to go - tech update in progress - can't announce it because we don't want to hype or put undue pressure on good coding. XC must be built properly. - the community wants info on things that are still in-progress - not in a position to give info - the community spirals into uncertainty and helps devalue their own coin as a result. The only solution to this is trust. You've got to trust that no news means we're busy working away productively on the next piece of news. I can truly see your frustration and understand completely. How come though, there was an actual update yesterday (so it must have been good enough for Dan) but we were not informed? even a little post saying "tiny update to wallet fixing xyz, nothing to get excited about just letting you know" Just a small daily update is all we need. Even if nothing has changed, i think we just need constant reassurance that things are moving along. Anyway, keep up the good work, sounds stressful but you have my faith so I'll shut up about it now |

It's not all about getting paid-for ads in crypto news blogs. Can I ask, respectfully, for the community to stop suggesting PR strategies? We have one already. It is driven by tech developments and NOT hype. Yes, we will plug the coin. Yes, the community should do so too, since it's in your interest. You can either decide that the XC team is legit and trust us, or you can buy something else. If you trust us, then - be patient - trust that you have outsider information and can't see our picture well enough to know why and how we're doing things. But please stop offering outsider opinions. It spreads the false impression that we don't have a plan. Why diminish investor confidence? Fair enough, point taken. My Apologies. Though I wasn't suggesting PR strategies, I was just asking when we're gonna see some. I know you guys have a plan, just its been quiet the last few days. Its hard to be patient when we are getting no info. Last night someone noticed the app was updated without even a post in this forum! If there is any update, no matter how small or irrelevant, you should let us know. It lets us know things are actually happening and will keep us all up to speed. I feel you guys are maybe lacking on the communication side a little that's all. Looking forward to the new Roadmap and update at the weekend anyway. Hello everybody . I have been following XC's Xellent progress and have enjoyed reading this thread on a daily basis for more than a month now. I am a tiny fish, But most of my holdings are in XC. I have bought it at all price ranges and will continue to buy and hold. I have alot of respect for atcsecure and the dev team. You are Fantastic I have also grown verry fond of the community.
