@boltz

Didn't even know about the grid penalty until you mentioned about it.
As you can see from the team principle interview, Vasseur was appalled how this situation was handled as now they have to pay for the repairs the track inspectors that the F1 was incharge of in making sure everything was prepared before the race. There was talk about Ferrari wanting to sue the FIA due to what happened to their team which could of ended way worse.

We have some small rumors about Ferrari not racing this weekend if Fia will not remove the penalty for Sainz.
What do you think?
Doubtful now that FP3 just ended about 45 minutes ago with both Ferrari's clocking in times.

Qualifying begins in the next few hours and Leclerc is looking like the favorite to win and take pole according to the oddsmakers.

Some posts on X which are taking place tomorrow for the next launch in Space X.
Another spaceship company is sending up a lockbox with bitcoin and dogecoin so I would think somebody known as The Dogefather would want to launch one of his rockets with the altcoin in the future too:

^ I like Argentina odds too but I really really like the Uruguayan forwards (yes, probably because of Nunez being a Red).

The only thing I didn't quite like to read was Suarez's inclusion. I know he's been getting goals in his new life in S America but I hope he's an option rather than a starter. Agent of Chaos, do your thing!

Oh wow! I think you won the special yesterday as when I checked the score it was 0-2 for Uruguay. Shocked

Even more of a shock was to see you posting back on the thread!
So congratulations and making an amazing entrance back on to the scene of once you had your success on many moons ago @buwaytress !
We all here missed you especially me my friend. Grin

Back to the Sportsbet.io Specials and the Match of the day specials.

After seeing Morata not scoring for Spain during the last Sportsbet Special actually I don't think he was even dressed for the match, I knew something like this would of happened as I thought the upset was going to happen in that match against Cyprus, but you saw it happen during this one. The ATGS for this special was for Messi to score.

Today's MOTD is for the England vs Malta match.
They consist of England to win with Kane to score and the other is for England to win with over 9.5 corners.

So this what all fans were fearing from what the drivers were saying about the brand new track needing to be constructed way too fast.
It was mentioned in several of the podcasts I had been watching all week. The manhole covers spotted all over the track, since this was constructed on a city street.

Pitline seems to have all the videos available from their channel for this failed FP1:
Christian Horner : They have to check all of the others | FP1 Interviews Las Vegas GP 2023
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1TACLl3cUQ

Carlos Sainz drain hole cover and FP1 is cancelled

Unseen Footage of Carlos Sainz’s accident
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wd0zJCx9bZ0

Team Principal's Press Conference | Las Vegas Grand Prix 2023
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaH8C8PKPIg

Seems from the first video with Christian Horner who's birthday was mentioned during that interview they will need to extend the Free Practices for tomorrow sounds like the more viable solution for the drivers to get more use to the track.
Because they only got two laps in before the red flag had waved off the race session.

@FanEagle

Vegas is all about the glitz & glamour and they have pulled out all stops there to make this a spectacle nobody will ever forget who are watching it live on the strip.
They are definitely trying to get more fans to the sport and will spare no expense to appeal to the masses and put on a show!
Just look at the sphere!
It is massive and in clear view from the track and you will be certain they will put advertising on it and probably costs as much as the superbowl to have your company or product up on there for all 3 days of races.

Practice begins in the next several hours so be prepared to get a look at the track and how these cars handle on this new asphalt during the cooler temperatures during these night races all weekend long.

Bengals QB is out of the game and left since the 2nd quarter. It is near halftime and they were leading.
Don't know if he will be returning as they state he's questionable to return in the second half due to a wrist injury.
They showed a photo of him departing the plane with a device around his wrist over his thumb, so he was entering into this game injured or recovering from one from the last match over the weekend.
He was trying to throw the ball but instantly knew something was wrong as he couldn't raise his elbow far enough to release it from his wrist. The ball went straight into the turf.
Doesn't look good for the Bengals at this time but the under might still happen because they have his replacement Jake Browning 1st year and 1st career pass during week 1 of the Browns game as Cincinnati's quarterback.

Heard something similar about Evil Geniuses but isn't this for the entire organization?
They are basically dissolving all their teams across all of Esports?
It is very alarming news if it was true. But I didn't believe it at first thinking it was just rumors but since you had mentioned it there must be an ounce of truth to it.
They probably won't disband every roster they manage when the others are doing well like their Valorant roster that won the last big tournament a few months ago. I'm guessing they're only downsizing as they can't keep up with the expenses in the other scenes like Dota now that it has become a free-for-all without the DPC system.

Bleed with the roster announcement earlier today, with Taiga and Masaros being their new addition to the roster.
Didn't their CEO step down just a few months ago too? Their interests seem to be over stretched and it seems to be affecting the company as a whole. So they should focus where they have had successes such as  in Valorant and dota2.

This is what I was probably going by since I am more atone to anything related to CounterStrike when it comes to the Esports scene then I would be with the others such as League, dota2 and Valorant.

For me Alfa Romeo has always the best liveries in F1, the colours and the design are really beatifull, sadly the team in terms of performance are not so good.

I dont know what to expect for Las Vegas Gp, because we dont have previous data, and also the drivers is gonna be their first time in this track.

I looked this up actually after I read your post because I remember I always liked Sauber from before even from when everyone liked the horse on red.

Then it made me smile to see Sauber is actually now Alfa Romeo, used to be BMW and next will be Audi. Sorta shame it's not Sauber but I guess they need the sponsorship money.

Very sad indeed they can't live up, they used to be strong, left Ferrari links, even Red Bull sold and bought their own. Little piece from history I didn't know about.
Talking about some nostalgia in the F1 did anyone notice a biography series that dropped about the Brawn GP featuring Keanu Reeves? It is called Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story.
Just noticed a trailer about it with Button and the speed of light rise of the team with their first entry into F1 getting pole position and winning at their premiere race!
Here is that trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fD6V9l4gOGE

Hadn't heard of them before as it was before my time of really getting into it but it was a team by Honda and sold to what looked like a bargain of a deal for £1!
"Brawn GP was formed on 6 March 2009 when it was confirmed that Ross Brawn, the former technical director for the Honda Racing F1, Ferrari and Benetton teams, had bought the team from Honda for £1 in the wake of the Japanese marque's withdrawal from the sport in December 2008." - source: wikipedia

Things are getting in full swing with these concerts and all the razzamatazz because it's Vegas Baby!
Well before the practice race which start really late in the evening at about 16 hours from now.

How did that Japan vs Myanmar go? Did they get the required over 7.5 goals easily?

We do have Daily Specials for the Euro qualifiers as we don't have matches in the Premier League this weekend due to international break.
So here they are for today with a nice looking one for Spain with Morata to score:

https://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/matches/today

If you predict Spain then that is your best option because they do not have any odds available to win as they are the heavy favorites only handicaps are for this market.
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/soccer/international/european-championship-qualification/cyprus-v-spain-654c4843b3c6960001a0e76e

Cyprus is a massive @40x to pull off a major upset in this qualification match!
Take it if you feel you have lady luck on your side today.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: November 16, 2023, 10:25:53 AM
True @Yuginkadoya & @owengtam09
There are some good fights to see for this weekend's fight night even after the great two weekends we had for UFC 294 and 295.

None of the fights on the preliminary card jump out at me. But I will wait closer to the event to decide I will back.
For the Main Card I like Uros Medic and Luana Pinheiro. Am waiting to see Jordan Leavitt going against Chase Hooper as this one should be a good fight to close out the card going into the co-main and main events.

Now for this one I will be backing Morales and Craig.
These two have been having some good progress in their fighting IQ from the fights I have seen so far from these two.
So those are my picks for this stellar weekend's event in the UFC.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 15, 2023, 11:59:34 PM
When we are talking about "fighting" in NBA, not that many players throw punches, this is as hardcore as it gets. Draymond Green didn't do himself justice by keeping Gobert in headlock for that long, I understand wanting to protect your teammate, but you should just push or hold somewhere else, like grab Gobert by the waist and pull him away, that could make sense, there were many other players there that separated the fight, none of them did a headlock, look at all the players on the court, they are all trying to separate Klay but nobody gave another player headlock, that's not how it works.

Draymond "may" had the good intentions, like protect your friend, but headlock, and for that long, wasn't the way to do it. It's famously known that Draymond is a dirty player, he was the reason why Warriors lost a whole title, because he kept on kicking others, dude is a dirty player through and through, and this was one of those moments when he did what he does, and I hope he gets at least a few games suspension.
Was interested in this game last night since I had a wager on the under and Timberwolves to win but didn't expect to see what I saw in the first frame of the game when I tuned in.
Seeing Draymond, Klay Thompson and a player from Minnesota getting ejected from the game.
I missed the incident but turned to the game just when Klay was arguing with the referee and throwing a jersey or towel when he got the toss out of the game. Looked at the timeclock and it was just 2 minutes into the game with the score 0-0.
So they must of been just fighting on the court most of the time. Seen Klay got his shirt ripped and Draymond putting Gobert into a headlock.
Looked more like a scene from the UFC instead of the NBA from last night. But we are still midweek and not into the weekend yet for fighting.
These In-Season tournament games seem to be more about getting technical fouls than basketball like the regular season games ought to be like.

@ralle14
Yes the Sportsbet Specials icon was not tracking on the taskbar yesterday for me as well.
But happy to say it is back today but nothing in there yet so they might have been doing some updates to it for more and better specials for us. Maybe a way to implement rapid betting option for the future? So we can bet during live matches for the specials? Now that would be a very nice feature indeed!

@arallmuus
No my calculations were correct as I stated for the last one 1.336~ltc was the staked amount for the nearly 18x odds so how can you even say that is 13ltc at over 18 multiplier?
After rechecking the betslip was 10x so not 17.92x but still impressive never the less for a bet of nearly $100 so they pocketed $950~.

For clarification I tracked down the individual who put in those bets the other day and am reposting them here for validation of these claims of hitting a nearly 100x odd betbuilder is clearly possible!

They didn't leave the scene but they have moved from SEA region to SA region. I think that this is like the new meta for those teams that have found no success with their runs for the past years. Honestly, I've seen the glory days of Boom Esports that when they were dominating the lan tournaments and I think they even became a major champ.

But out of nowhere they didn't kept the players that have been good in tandem that had brought them success and then didn't invest that much anymore in building the team. Maybe this run of theirs with the SA players will bring them luck as it's like one easy region for the pro players that they have chosen.
Yup, it appears the org is completely switching to all SA since they also have SA teams in other esports scenes like Valorant and PUBG Mobile.

Looking at the players they chose, on paper, they should be making it in the top 3 SA teams at the minimum as their roster is mixed with players from EG, beastcoast, and Thunder Awaken who all participated in TI.

The only team I know that's stepping out of the scene is Evil Geniuses since I remember reading news about them potentially dropping their other rosters.

There are many things about Elon Musk, I think he knows many things and that is why he now has the intense Space program to travel to other planets, I don't think he has much interest in making money, because he is a guy who has a lot, according to everything What he has shown is that he is a self-sufficient person, I don't know that every 5 minutes he earns more than 20 thousand USD, but he is a very influential person, I don't see Elon Musk interested in Bitcoin but rather in Doge, which is his favorite currency, he is the one who promoted it, and With all the money he has made and has and continues to make, he doesn't care about bitcoin, because he dared to speak not very well about bitcoin and that is why the bitcoin community does not accept it much.
Well if you believe in all that you have stated above then you would be content with the following interview he did with Lex Fridman round 4:
Elon Musk: War, AI, Aliens, Politics, Physics, Video Games, and Humanity | Lex Fridman Podcast #400

About the part in where you say he would be more interested in Bitcoin than Doge, listen to the beginning where he starts the interview with whistling the theme song to The GodFather movie.
Remember he likes to be known as The Dogefather.

Yesterday's NBA MOTD cashed as the Sixers ended the match with a win and comfortably hit the over with 137 points.

Today's MOTD went down early and I would've taken them if my coins weren't stuck in the exchange because the MOTD is all about the Celtics HT/FT win @1.70 against the Knicks. The Celtics are playing at home and the main reason I recommend it is that the odds on other bookies are shifting between 1.41 to 1.45 and it all points to the Celtics to win this dominantly.

Edit: Celtics MOTD somehow lost due to the Celtics' sluggish start and I guess i'm lucky that I wasn't able to catch it in time.
Wow, I didn't notice the last match on the MOTD as it was too late for a watch with other events going on.
With the In-Play tournament going on in the league, there are alot of games going on at the same time. I think tonight there are 10 games on the schedule which usually there are 4-6 a night for the regular season not being a weekend.

Last night I was interested in the very last game scheduled for the day with the Sacramento Kings up against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Somebody who was betting on this game had two bets going on both betbuilders.
The first betslip consisted of player prop bets for a total of 92.98x odds which they put on a sum of 0.115ltc winning 10.69ltc.
The second betslip was the same with player prop bets but at 17.92x odds but with 1.336ltc.
So with those two huge betbuilder bets on this one NBA game they won close to 35 ltc!
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: November 14, 2023, 03:03:01 PM
For somebody who is not completely in the know of DOTA2 and the insight of the professional teams involved but it seems to be a turnstyle with teams leaving and getting replaced more often than on the offseason of Esports.
I had even heard of Boom Esports in the league of DOTA2 play and this is surprising to hear of them disbanding and leaving the scene.

Yeah, There’s a lot of team already exit on Dota2 pro scene because it’s not profitable for them anymore since it’s very hard to get sponsorship if your team is always early exit or doesn’t win any tournament including minor tournaments.

Boom esports become a garbage team after their strong line-up before. New team appear and acquire those talented players leaving them no choice to accept mediocre players. I’m not watching frequently E-Sports in general but I watch Dota2 tournaments. I just notice that weaker team especially those who can’t afford acquiring talented roster usually just wasting there money on their player salary without getting in return since it’s very hard to win tournaments in Dota2 since the map is just balance unlike CS:GO which team switch side of the map with different role and advantage/disadvantage on terrain.
I think the idea that most teams have are to aim for those high prizes tournaments. Unlike with CS:2, they've got a better compensation for their players and that's through sponsorships. I have no idea how much the deals they are making with sponsorships especially with the better teams that have made a lot of achievements.
Okay that is great to know they haven't left the scene completely and just playing at a lower tier so to stay competitive enough to be noticed.

About CS2 teams, I would agree with you there. As there is alot of restructuring of teams with roster changes going on to the major teams right now with G2's Niko wanting to add fellow countryman Nexa to the fold for example.
Instead of what DOTA2 teams do with just cleaning house and starting with a clear slate.

They did infact hold the Bills to a very competitive scoreline and then took it away right at the end in the most controversial way!
Broncos were knocked out of field goal range within the final 60 seconds of play. By a fluke Wilson heaves a pass up in the air for a receiver down the field and gets a pass interference call. So they place it on the 17 yard line.
They go for the field goal but miss it. You would think the game is over with the Bills winning by a point right?
Wrong!
Buffalo Bills had 12 men on the field due to the Broncos rushing their field goal unit onto the field so they were still shuffling their defensive line.
So they got to retake the missed field goal. With 0:00 on the clock they make the points to win the match!
That was a shock to the Bills as you can see Josh Allen's face all over social media after that too many men on the field call was made.

The Bills are now 5-5 at the end of week 10 and the announcer was stating during this game, if teams do not have 10 wins by the end of the regular season and going into the post season,
They will not make the play-offs.
Kansas City Chiefs are already the leaders of the AFC West Conference with a 7-2 record going into week 11. So they are clear and have a bye week.
The Philadelphia Eagles are 8-1 so they should be the leaders of NFC East Conference.
