I has made a new one:

685  Economy / Services / Re: GPU Repair Service and parts on: November 15, 2012, 02:00:10 PM
I've got a stock pile of OE Replacement Fans from NTK Limited but I can check for you. Do you have the fan's part number by chance? It is usually listed on the sticker on the underside of the fan (the side you can't see until you pull it apart...)

Also, if you have the mounting dimensions that would be great!
All the info on the fans sticker:
Power logic, dc brushless fan, model PLD08010S12HH, Dc 12V 0.35A

It's attached with three screws, the distance from screwhole to the next is 5cm and 3cm from the center of the fan. If this is not enough please ask a more specific question about the mounting.. Im fairly clueless here Smiley

I am able to order that fan although I am finding 2 different variations...

Are the mounting holes a perfect triangle? Or does one stick straight out and the other 2 are close to each other on the same side?

Also does the mounting bracket stick out past the fan blades? Or are they shorter than the fan blades?

It would be great if you had a picture so I am 100% positive I'm sending you the right thing... Otherwise I'm sure we'll be able to figure it out!

Heres a pic, please not that this fain is one of a pair of two in the same cable, cables have been cut. Looks like a perfect triangle mounting bracket is shorter than the fan blades (i'd guess ~3mm shorter).
686  Economy / Goods / Re: btc trinkets: bitcoin tiepins, cufflinks and lapel pins. Available on Bitmit. on: November 14, 2012, 06:28:50 PM
Your tiepin made me think of how cool (and somewhat ironic) a BTC money clip would be.  I'd buy one for sure.  Smiley
Thanks for the idea, I'll inquire my manufacturer if they make money clips.

I will second this idea, I would totally buy a btc money clip Cheesy
I have started working on a money clip design, my manufacturer sent me images of some very nice clips they produces, this could end up supprisingly awesome, albeit obsolete, stay tuned for updates and feel free to pitch in a slogan. My initial idea is " This is my relic collection, I actually use BTC."

I for one have started to aqquire replacement parts for my gpus, in anticipation of a selloff, but I wont be selling any untill conclusive proof of "live" asics. Even if this means Im mining at a negative profit for a month or two, I feel like it's a risk I want to take.

If there aren't any "Live" ASIC's, I can't imagine why you'd be running at negative profit since it shouldn't change a whole lot in the next few months unless they hit.
Well the way I see this scenario is that the Euro is going down and bitvoin up.. So Im just basicly buying somewhat expensive bitcoins against my electric bill (3months from now)... and under the circumstances I might end up "winning" in the equation. If the profitability of my gpus falls below - (negative) 5$ a day I will be selling them off.
[edit]
With the current exchange rate and difficulty, my gpu earnings will drop a bit below 5$ a day when the block reward gets chopped down.

If by any chans you'd be able to provide me a fan pair for MSI's Twin Frozrr III cooler I'd be interested in one. I did google and order a part with the exact same number, but is wat not a match.. mounting holes were wrong. I could also be interested in a working reference-cooler for a 6950 incase you have one lying around.

691  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Friday, the fallout: Merchants how did we do ? on: November 12, 2012, 03:56:40 PM
This should be a monthly event.  I for one missed it Sad.
As a merchant if it were monthly I for one could not offer 20% discounts, but twice a year for example would be nice.
692  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Its BitCoin Friday!. Now go buy some stuff.. on: November 11, 2012, 03:50:33 PM
Ended up getting a pair of socks, some silver, and some casascius coins.  I really enjoyed it, now there's just a few outstanding questions I have:

1) how much of a swing did merchants see on Friday compared to regular volume?
2) Assuming merchants are planning on converting BTC to fiat, will that cause any swings on exchanges, or will it remain flat because of equal number of customers buying BTC to replenish what was spent?
I tied https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=123624.0 phishing around for this info, with little succes sofar. On my part I propably wont convert to fiat anytime soon.

Thank you everyone for signing - 72 signatures now!

Do you think I set the target (100,000 signatures) too high?  Should I change it to 10,000 or even 1,000?

Or can we find 100,000?  The biggest petitions usually get mentioned in the newspapers and slashdot - can anybody do that?
100k is spot of if you can reach every active bitcoin user and assume atleast a third particapate, sadly this forum is not enought to accomplish that.
694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will bitcoins double soon? on: November 10, 2012, 03:21:18 PM
I saw that the payout will halve, does this mean the price will double? Shocked shouldn't we invest?

i'm confused.
I sure hope not. I'd like to belive were past the point when the value magically doubles or crashes. Were propably not.. but during 2012 we've seen the price go up by a factor of 3x. The next year 2013 I personally doubt we'll see as big growth, perhaps 2x at most. This is good, the more stable bitcoin becomes the more useable it will seem to buisnesses.

I for one can report a record amount of sales for btctrinkets, nothing drastic especially since I've been around for just two weeks... but 60% growth when compared to average day shipments.
