never sell at a loss when a crash happens you dont sell... you buy, and you buy as much as you can

This is not a rule never sell at a loss, the smartest have at times had to sell at a loss to be able to continue trading with something that is not sinking! With you mentality when a crash happens and you keep buying, what happens when the crash is to major to bounce back anywhere near where it was? If you see a crash coming sell at a loss and buy back at a later date when it has balanced out and you end up with more without risking more. The only guys that can hold all the way down are the guys who brought in early on.

I think we now know he was one of the holders who didn't think of selling at 1K+

Who is afraid of the big scary asks on finex.

Smiley

It reminds me of yesterday just before the 7k coin dump.

The bids were stacked up in huge walls towering over a flatland of asks. It might have appeared to a beginner that the price was about to soar up.

Instead it dipped by $10.

Now it's the other way around. The asks tower over the flat bids. It just proves how unreliable the order book is as a prediction tool.

It could go either way.

I bet 10k bitcoins for 2.6mil$ can be super deal for some people! They will come around Wink

OR

It takes one early adopter who has 30k+ bitcoins to risk 10% of his stash... send it to finex and go max long. Any candidates?  Grin

I think they have already done that  Huh

We are at the point where we'll see epic squeeze. The problem I have is I just don't know in which direction.

Look at the last 15 months. look at the power of dumps killing days of rally in just a few hours. And look at the low volume during recovery. The trend is unchanged..why bet on a slim chance of trend reversal  Huh
Also, seems like underwater bull whale is out of ammo! Margin calling is going to rain coins beneath 200.

I would think 210-220's are the sweet spot to start the cascade.  Once it starts it's going to get ugly.
685  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bank of America Accounts - Verify your PayPal Account on: April 09, 2015, 02:41:39 PM
Is it ok to use with paypal's TOS

It's against their TOS.

You need to use proper stealth techniques which goes back to the how the account was created and the methods used.

I just noticed something,

At roughly 23:15 UTC when the site came back online after DNS error (probably backup), I changed the BTC payout address of 2 accounts of mine.
At that moment the timer jumped to 87hours of lockdown as it should according to the last lockdown story.

Surprisingly, at the current time 14:35 UTC, the lockdown timer displays 80 hours left.

Quite logically, this does not add up.
Hence, someone might suggest that work to the back-end was performed.

P.S. I don't know if this should belong in the update thread, just posting it here to be sure.

Just curious, whats the status now on the lockdown?
687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 09, 2015, 02:20:16 PM
Is $235 considered doom nowadays?  Huh Huh

You would think, since we touched this level 3 times in the past month alone, the bears would just give a shrug instead celebrating like we're at penny BTC already...

about doom....I really dont care, just >

THAT'S what capitulation looks like!

Not here, not now.  Also volume would be a lot higher.

Bid side is very weak as well, although it could be bulls trying for a trap.  I still think were heading lower.
688  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bank of America Accounts - Verify your PayPal Account on: April 08, 2015, 11:15:41 PM
Bank of America VBA accounts can be had for under $20, so i'm not sure as to why yours are going for such a premium.

As you know, paypal limits the number of accounts a bank account may be associated with. Even though there are people who claim they can provide a virtual bank account that will verify your paypal account. The fact of the matter is, once PayPal's system realizes that there are several accounts linked to the same bank account, it will close or limit your account.

You can only link 1 bank account to 1 paypal account and thats it.  Once the number is used it cannot be reused with another account.  (in some cases it can be done with a spouse etc but it requires a call in)

Whats the next major support level after $240-$242?

$235-$236 ? then $228?

We get it, you are short. No need to push it Damiano.

Also those three chartists you mentioned are just following the trend. They (perhaps correctly) will continue to predict the price is going down until the exponential trendline is broken. How many chartists predicted the last two bubbles? Smiley
If he believes we're going down I don't see the problem. WO must be open to others than retards like you and me who can only make money on bubbles.

I enjoy reading and researching TA on both sides of the spectrum.  There needs to be a balance of both bears and bulls within this thread.  The trolling on the other hand is difficult to tolerate (I don't have anyone on ignore) occasionally nlc will post something that will make me laugh.

Almost 27 millions longs

Almost an infinate money supply!

Not sure if you`re just messin, but the cow starves while the grass grows.

I'm not convinced at least by one bit that this cow bear is starving.

I suggest you read up on posts by chessnut, RyNinDaCleM & masterluc.  They seem to have a good grip and understanding of how things are playing out.

And the shorts + longs just continue to pile up.

That was a really powerful dump though.

Theres about another 4k left to swap at a decent rate then it gets to pricey
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 08, 2015, 04:45:17 PM
Any bets on how long 240 is breached?

I'll go with 3-4 hours
696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 08, 2015, 03:33:37 PM
wow not even okcoin is following bitfinex with those buys  Huh

And longs are still going up.
Our underwater bullwhale friend still at it again?

The fact even futures didn't follow that buy is a bad sign imo

Looks like support is slightly being pulled as well

Good morning Bitcoinland. We finally got a little movement, I see.

$10 isn't much of a dip to buy on but I suppose it's better than no dip at all so I'm glad I was up really early today and had a chance to rush down and buy a few more coins while the price was down.

By the time I got home the skid had slowed and the price had actually risen a couple of bucks. Lucky timing I guess.

How long now before we're back up over $250 or do we finally break below $240 after a week of failed attempts?

In lieu of popcorn I'll just have to make do with Mocha-Java. Mmmm.

I guess bears don't really have that many spare coins left in order to try to push the price any lower now. The bid-side is filled nicely and the ask side still rather slim. Unfortunately, only Finex is going up, the others seem a bit depressed (especially Huobi)...

Only 3k coins from 234 to 218...

Do you think we are going down to past 200???
Are we going to see those days back??? I won't be happy at all, but would just see it as an opportunity to get in cheaper one more time, a one more chance...

Yes.

The opportunity for bears to at least squeeze some longs is close and I don't think they will give up right here.  In my mind I can see a few different ways how this could play out.

Well, I anticipated this dump for days but it is way more mild than I expected.
I was looking for coins below $230 by now already, which probably will not even happen next week.

~ $245 strong buy.

Long term yes
Short term no

No shorts bothered covering which is a hint
