701  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still have time to reach the 21 BTC goal? on: July 15, 2016, 11:39:08 AM
21 BTC is around $14000(at current price)

Might be too much for some people, and many people maybe won't have that much in their whole life, but many people have much more than that and can save money and in some years save $14k

704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MY gambling strategy to limit loss and make btc on: July 15, 2016, 11:17:37 AM
You can always deposit more and gamble away your deposit, specially if your first result was a loss.

There is no point to withdraw every 0.001 BTC, because deposits are as easy to make as withdraws.

If you have self control, you won't need to do so many withdraws
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipster Competition (EURO PROMO) - sponsored by DirectBet (Discussion Thread) on: July 14, 2016, 12:00:00 PM
The side competition is good because you don't need to go and chase different goals, you can just do what you always do, get a bigger ROI.

But I think the correct score bets are a bit overpowered, specially in the group stage with lots of games, so maybe cut their reward in half(correct score would give 1.5 points and correct goals from one side 0.5) would be interesting

Do you think it was overpowered in the knockoff phase?
We tried to adjust it, and I think it went well. Note that we removed the bonus from just getting one side of the correct score.
So right now you can only get one point per game, and only if you win that bet.

We can reduce it even more, and just awarding 0.5 points if necessary, but the incentive would probably be to small (although the next competition will not be exclusive to any event, so there will be many games available, so reducing to 0.5 points to only winning bets might be a good idea)

0.5 points for correct score would be too little.

And what kind of games would be considered for correct score in the next competition?
706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: July 14, 2016, 11:56:53 AM
today i had only interested for these matches Rosenborg vs Norrkoping and as usual such as yesterday my pick for  home team or Rosenborg ML but this time the odds not so low @1.56 and i wish home team will win today
if I look at the statistical record of Rosenborg when playing at home, they are very good and always win. This should be an easy victory. also I think the match will be over 2.5 goals or 2-1 to home team.

yes, my hunch also say it is easy for Rosenborg won the match some reason they play consistently in the league and also today played at the home ground while Norrkoping FK had a poor record when playing away I think they'll find a problem there
Rosenborg definitely will win the match and qualified no doubt.

The odds are pretty good because everybody know how both performance lately,  and Rosenborg are far better at the moment. At atound 1.5 odds it will give you an easy money.  Go bet on it!

Although I'm sure Rosenborg won I did put a lot of bets I was worried something unexpected happened  Cheesy
I had a lot to lose in the game Euro because too sure pick the winning team I do not want to repeat that mistake
Full time Rosenborg 3-1 Norrkoping,  i told you this is sure winning no doubt.

Rosenborg won it convincingly 3-1 , the odds that bookies provided are pretty clear to me also the statistics say it all. Great game! 4 goals scored in just 20 minutes.  Did you make profit in this game?  Sure you did right?

Only a small profit  Grin I've said that even though I'm sure Rosenborg won I just put a little money
So what's your prediction today I want to follow your prediction you seem to have a good feeling
just don't be upset when you follow my tips and then the tips were lost Cheesy i am a human too.

today europa league qualification tips from me :

- Dinamo Minsk to win at first half against St. Patrick's Athletic @1.7
- Partizan Beograd to win against Zaglebie Lubin @1.57
- Hibernian draw at first half against Broendby IF  @2.2

goodluck!

Among all the second is my favorite(Partizan Beograd to win against Zaglebie Lubin @1.57)

Half time predictions may be tricky

Do you trust in politics?

Hillary is saying everything to make people vote on her. Even said that she would reveal all secret alien files.

I don't think she will fulfill any of her promises, including this one about Blockchain
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP 2016 Discussion and Tips on: July 14, 2016, 09:48:11 AM
Why so many places where games are played if only few countries are in the league?

I thought this would be like a Confederation Cup but with teams
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: July 14, 2016, 08:19:54 AM
I you have put your money on Portugal to win the Euro's then you have made some serious money because nobody expected them to in.
I thought that France was going to win and I was almost right but they did not really showed up in the finals.

Wasn't that high, less than 3x, that I remember.

Nothing compared to Iceland win against England and reach the quarters, for example, or other dark horses
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LUCK!!! :) How does it feels? on: July 14, 2016, 08:18:29 AM
In the beginning it feels like it is going to last forever. Until you lose everything, that is.

Then you just feel nothing, because you know that bad luck will come too, and in more frequent doses than good luck
712  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: July 14, 2016, 08:09:59 AM
I'm hodling until the end of the year.

Because last time the halving effect on price took some months before happening.

So better wait some months
713  Other / Off-topic / Re: Save you Bitcoin for your (grand) child / children? on: July 14, 2016, 07:57:49 AM
Bitcoin is not an infinite term project, it will day someday, when there will be no more mining and most of the coins will be lost.

And I don't have enough for me, leave something to others is not my high priority now
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Nanhai arbitration event have an effect on Bitcoin? on: July 14, 2016, 07:52:24 AM
I don't even know what is Nanhai arbitration?

But if is something about China, probably will somehow, they control Bitcoin now
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Soccer Betting Strategy on: July 14, 2016, 07:15:29 AM
How can you Martingale with sport bets?

Hard to find picks with exactly 2x payout, and you'll miss some big picks with other odds
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free football predictions topic on: July 13, 2016, 10:02:17 PM
Odds are pretty low.
One loss and all your profit will be gone.
Also too many picks for a 2.65 parlay, in my opinion

Lower odds are better in the long run but I agree with too many bets in a parlay. You should do 3 or maybe 4 matches per parlay, not more than that and you will be safe. 2.65 is very good odd but 6 games are too much.

They are good until you lose and realize how many wins you would need to recover.

I've seen people lose sub 1.05x bets for the tipster championship(I myself lost some of such bets).

I think the best in the long run is be a sniper, only bet when you have decent odds and you are sure of the result. Problem is, gambling is kind of addictive and sometimes you just need to bet
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: July 13, 2016, 09:57:57 PM
Last thought: I would lose money in this Euro(plus Copa America) if not by the tipster championship.

I got 0.577 BTC of prizes(some big luck in casino helped) and lost some amount, I think between 0.1 and 0.2 BTC

For the next competition (or any competition similar in format), I would like to suggest you to get rid of the bonus system, or lower the number of points it awards (maybe modify it, for example, make correct score bets multiply the ROI earned x2, or something similar)... I really gave up in the second round when I noticed my opponent had placed bets on almost every possible outcome (and I had no full time internet access to follow a similar "strategy").

Don't worry, maybe Germany wins by 4+ goals tomorrow and you may get your top 7 back again

I am not sure if you are giving me hope or making fun of me Embarrassed. I took the bad decission of betting on those last 7 games, I had a better ROI before (around 45%), I guess I should have taken a more conservative approach like most of you.

By the way, again congratulations to those that finished in the top places (I will be praying for any of the remaining games to end with a lot of goals Tongue, to have a chance of reentering the prize zone).

In the end you got your top7 position because of the unexpected France's loss.

Told you not to give up hope

We dont get 50 participants that had 100 qualified bets?? Because i Already push my limit to make 28 bet for this last match...

Btw Congratulations bitbollo to hit 1st and 3rd place and gratz monsterV to win side competition..

Only 29 entries finished with 100 bets.

Not really a surprise, considering that only Euro game counts towards the leaderboard.
