701  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it worth buying bitcoin now ? on: March 27, 2018, 02:25:21 PM

Last few weeks I have been reading in the forum that Bitcoin is dead so is it really worthy to invest on Bitcoin

Since 2013 after the bubble many are already talking about how bitcoin will die. At that time from 1000 $ bitcoin fell to 300$ and so those who are against bitcoin are so eager to tell the world that bitcoin is dead. In 2014 the same comments and in 2015 they also made those comments and up to now they are still spreading some lies. From centavos to 8k$ and they still say that bitcoin is dead. How can they say that bitcoin is dead the fact that its value is very high.
702  Economy / Economics / Re: Rapper Cardi B erupts over taxes, asks where the money is going on: March 26, 2018, 11:45:13 AM
Rapper Cardi has its points but posting it on the social media is not the proper way to do it. To know how those funds were used and utilized then you should head to the budget section of the City Hall. I am working in the government and I have a clear idea how the taxes worked well. Peoples taxes are being appropriated to different categories and if you will try to count it all sometimes the budget isnt enough to fund all the government projects and activities and that is why we have prioritization of projects.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse after 21 million coins are mined? on: March 26, 2018, 11:41:10 AM
Bitcoin will not collapsed after 21 million coins are mined. This is one of the fears among bitcoin users as if this is the end of the world for bitcoin. But let us discuss two kinds of things wherein miners would earn; first from mining bitcoins and second is through transaction fees. This would mean that even all of the bitcoin were mined miners will still work and their work is to process blocks of transactions and confirm it to avoid double spending. Thus even if all bitcoins are mine bitcoins will still be there and we can still continue to enjoy using it.
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yee CEO Zhang Lei: “Blockchain Will be the Next Generation Infrastructure.” on: March 24, 2018, 10:41:14 AM
With big people like Zhang Lei bitcoin could be more strengthened. Investors are usually looking up for a big figure and they always bite those promising words that those big figures are announcing. Zhang lei efforts could not be felt by us but those around him and his followers are already seeing his words as factual and thus will also engage in bitcoin. With this the increase of people in the bitcoin community could help us make bitcoin market more stronger than ever.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your 24 word phrase? on: March 23, 2018, 01:44:29 PM
Thinking of being hacked is just overkill. You can simply keep your phrase on an email. I do make a unique email for every key that you make. My friends and my group have also started to copy this style and it is safe. Other thing is to print it on a piece of paper and laminate it and paste it in your wall, but you need to insert it on a group of words and place it on many group of number and you are the one who only know where it is.
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can I do with $300 USD? on: March 23, 2018, 01:36:43 PM
Hello, I have $300 in paypal but don't know what to do with it? Where should I put it? I want to make money out of this $300.

Suggestions & Advice well appreciated.

It is simple you just need to convert it to bitcoins and then you can go to the exchanges and make some trading. That way instead of having just 300$ you will have the potential of earning more dollars when you engage on cryptocurrency trading if yo succeeded. Also even if you just hold bitcoin you may earn profit when its value pumps again this year.
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter CEO Sees Bitcoin the World’s Single Future Currency Within Decade on: March 23, 2018, 01:34:10 PM
In an interview with British newspaper The Times of London, CEO of Twitter and payment service Square, Jack Dorsey said that he envisions Bitcoin as the world’s single future currency within 10 years.
Read more here: Twitter CEO Sees Bitcoin

Wow this kind of news will rock thousand of bitcoin enthusiasts around the world. THough there are many rumors spreading that twitter will also ban cryptocurrency related ads and ICO but still even with this kind of announcement Twitter recognizes bitcoin as a legit and solid cryptocurrency online. I am sure that if this news will spread it is just a matter of time before bitcoins value will climb up again.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stock market principles needed in crypto world: SEC official on: March 23, 2018, 12:20:18 PM
I guess they are very serious about their claim. If you notice there are too many ICO's popping up like mushrooms and among them are fake and scam ICO's and other are unsuccessful ICO's made by people who have no physical project an without enough budget. Many ICO's have disappeared like balloons without a trace and I guess its time to regulate these ICO's since many have been already a victim to those.
709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at 2600$, is it possible !!!! on: March 23, 2018, 12:07:16 PM
I dont think it is possible. It is just a prediction with no basis at all. The bitcoin dip was already over at 6,000$ and it again rose up to 9k$ yesterday and it began to be stable at 8k$. We are expecting that instead of going down at 8k$ bitcoin has started recovering at it will be going up starting next week until december. It may be very slowly but it is very clear that it will go back at 20,000k $ by december.
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc game on: March 23, 2018, 11:50:17 AM
When will they create  a btc game like Pokémon  Go .When you must go to places in your town to get btc or any crypto. I think it will be interesting.

I just remember this kind of topic before. It was when pokemon go was stil very popular and in trend. In this forum many users are talking about the possibility of integrating bitcoin with pokemon go but sadly a year has passed and it did not happen. Some games also who accepts bitcoin as mode of payment in exchange for their codes had stopped accepting btc.

With bitcoins value suffering from a 60% drop in value many are now thinking if it is safe to accept bitcoin anymore. Thus we must spread good news about bitcoin and combat those negative news about bitcoin. We can make bitcoin lively again if its value will climb up again.
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin regulation will be about as effective as climate agreements on: March 23, 2018, 11:45:28 AM
Whether or not you think climate change is an anthropological problem, the fact is there are climate agreements.

I see similarities between trying to control the world's temperature and attempts to regulate Bitcoin. To be clear, there are also essential differences: turning the world into a swimming pool is probably not a good idea, while regulating Bitcoin to death is probably a bad thing.

One of the similarities is that both limiting CO2 emissions and regulating Bitcoin aren't effective because there will always be nations laughing in the face of restrictions if that's profitable.

CO2 emissions are actually increasing despite billions of investments in renewable energy.

https://www.businessgreen.com/bg/news-analysis/3028974/iea-energy-related-co2-emissions-break-three-year-trend-to-rise-in-2017

Likewise I wouldn't be surprised there will be nations that bend any restrictions on Bitcoin.

You could argue nations who cheat on agreements will be sanctioned, but they can just pull out of agreements with no repercussions.

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2011/dec/13/canada-pulls-out-kyoto-protocol

We failed spectacularly at the Kyoto Protocol. Why? Because people love money more than anything.

What do you think, will Bitcoin be successfully regulated?

There is a huge difference between bitcoin and the world's temperature.  Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and we deal here with digits and value while temperature and global warming are referring to the weather conditions.

Bitcoin regulations is not harmful to bitcoin. The said regulations being placed by the countries to bitcoin are just protocol being made to any financial activities. The same regulation being placed upon the banks and the securities. There is nothing wrong with complying with KYC and AML regulations.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Diversification Strategy on: March 22, 2018, 02:13:55 PM
What do you all think about a strategy of just investing a little bit in each of the top 100 coins, in hopes that one takes off?  Seems like downside risk would be minimal.

That is a wise strategy anyway just like the old saying goes " never place your eggs on the same basket". This means that if we have an investment we should diversify to lessen the risk and increase the possibility of earning. As long as you apply the principle of buy low sell high then you are at the right road. Also you may need patience since sometime before we can sell  our coins we need to at least wait for a long time before we can actually sell it because of the red market.
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines is starting to accept bitcoin. on: March 22, 2018, 02:09:09 PM
This is very good news because if the Filipins take bitcoin then other countries too are more active after such news to take the same thought about bitcoin.

Actually bitcoin is being used in the Philippines since 2009. But there are only a few people who are into bitcoin at that time. Bitcoin community has started to grow faster when a company named coins.ph launch their services that enables their users to buy bitcoin and convert it to their fiat currency last 2014. Due to an increase of monetary activity due to bitcoin and other cryptocurrency the BSP last 2017 have made a study as on how to legally accept bitcoin in the Philippines with some regulations attached to it. This year the news that is spreading is that the BSP is already released its announcement of legalizing the use of bitcoin with a warning that such use of the said cryptocurrency is very volatile and is very risky.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do ICOs have to predefine coin supply on: March 22, 2018, 01:58:57 PM
The number of coins are being specified on the whitepaper. The total number of coins is referring to the maximum limit a coin can be produced and the number of coin being circulated is the number of coin being produced at the moment. Lastly we have the Initial coin supply and that is the number of coins being produced at the beginning.

But all of those numbers can be changed by the developer anytime he wants because they have the program and the software and they have the control over it. Everything will depend on their sales so if the sales are short or good it is either to increase the number of coins or to burn some of the remaining coin.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trouble in Regulatory on: March 22, 2018, 01:45:52 PM
THose are just fake news and hoax articles trying to create a panic to stir the bitcoin market. If we believe on that surely bitcoins value will fall again. Let us promote the good news about bitcoin rather than hoax articles with the purpose of destroying bitcoin. If we keep believing on those FUD then surely bitcoin will fall again and it will have a hard time climbing back.
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee + Last Opportunity to invest in Cryptocurrency in 2018 on: March 22, 2018, 01:40:38 PM
John McAFEE + Last Opportunity to invest in Cryptocurrency in 2018

->https://youtu.be/AxPqKbPsTEA
(Please turn on the subtitle for better understanding)

This is very funny since John McAFEE was a bogus. He once pm an owner of a coin a deal that he would promote his coin in exchange for a huge sum of btc including a large sum of coins. The moment McAFEE promotes a coin then the promotion is not because the coin is good but because he is paid. Thus, I suggest to stay away to the coins being endorsed by him, he is the only one getting rich and not the investors.
717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Need To Shut Bitcoin And All Other Cryptocurrencies Down. Here's Why. on: March 22, 2018, 01:29:47 PM
Whatever kind of news being thrown to bitcoin I will not falter but support bitcoin. There are many kinds of news being thrown to bitcoin and cryptocurrency but most of them are FUD and manipulated with the purpose of creating panic to the public so that people will leave behind cryptocurrency. With the rise of cryptocurrency many banking systems are being affected since many people have used their wallet address as their bank instead of the banks. Cryptocurrency has saved my life from drowning in debt and thus I will be loyal to cryptocurrency and never believe such hoax news.

They say that bitcoin is being used for illegal activity but all currencies are like that even fiat currency. Anything that has value can be used in anyway a person like. So there is nothing wrong with cryptocurrency at all.
718  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency on: March 22, 2018, 01:24:05 PM
Many are in fear and are thinking negative about a country that will place regulations on cryptocurrency. Actually when a country places regulations on the use of such cryptocurrency this means that a certain country has accepted the use of such currency within their political territory. Let us say we applied for work and we are hired, the moment we work we comply to the rules of that company and their system; bitcoin is the same, the moment it was accepted in a certain country it must comply to the monetary norms and rules of such state.
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Price on: March 22, 2018, 01:20:01 PM
Over the past 48 hours, after demonstrating a highly volatile week, the cryptocurrency market has remained stable in the $350 billion region, as major cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin have not recorded major gains or losses.

Stability
Throughout February and March, every cryptocurrency in the global market has experienced extreme upswings and price drops, going up and down 20 to 30 percent within a 24-hour period. Bitcoin for instance, has dropped from $14,000 to $6,000, increased to $11,600, dropped to $7,000, and recovered to $9,000.

Subsequent to this period of intense volatility, the cryptocurrency market has found some stability, given that the market has not made any major movement for two days straight. Some tokens like ICON (ICX) and Storm have surged by over 40 percent due to exchange listings, but other than the two cryptocurrencies, most digital currencies have sustained their price from March 20.

Investors have also started to express some optimism and enthusiasm towards the market after the initial recovery from $6,000. Experts in the tech and finance sectors including Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, billionaire investors Tim Draper and Alan Howard shared a similar sentiment in saying that cryptocurrencies like bitcoin could become the global reserve currency.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who also operates payments app Square, stated:

“The world ultimately will have a single currency, the internet will have a single currency. I personally believe that it will be bitcoin.”

Howard, who invested in bitcoin last year, revealed that he will increase his holdings in cryptocurrencies in 2018, because he strongly believes the market will experience a full recovery throughout this year.

“Hedge fund billionaire Alan Howard made sizable personal investments in cryptocurrencies last year and plans to put more of his own money into digital assets and the blockchain technology behind them, according to people with knowledge of the matter,” a Bloomberg report read.

https://www.ccn.com/cryptocurrency-market-remains-stable-at-350-billion-bitcoin-at-9000/

Good news are coming in again. This is the second good news after the news about G20. This news is big and must be spread to the community to uplift their spirit amidst the issues of goggle and twitter banning crypto related advertisements. We have suffered a huge losses at the beginning of the year but it is also the time wherein we can buy more bitcoin and thus the crypto loyalists have nothing to lost. Lets promote this kind of good news guys!
720  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is so unfair on: March 22, 2018, 01:08:53 PM
Isn't it so unfair for the people who is new here? That will be struggling making such as good quality post so they could be given a merit by someone. I know all of you is having a hard time thinking what are you going to post such as good quality.

It is really hard to have a merit it is because as far as I know:
People are selfish. Even though you post a really good quality post still there is a people who won't give you a merit.
Some are alone. Like me, I don't really have much friend who would give me a free merit. I know that it is easy to have a merit with a friend that have an account of bitcointalk.

My question is. Why still need merit? We are still struggling to rank because of the merit.

Merit system is a good thing I guess since spam post and useless post will be lessened and people will take time to make research to make a good post. I have seen many post which are not substantial and poorly made. There are a lot of post which are very short and does not even reach the minimum requirement of 100 characters. This forum is not a simple forum, this forum is made so that ideas could be shared among other members and thus having merits is one way to gauge the members.
