7161  Economy / Economics / Re: LESSONS FROM CRYPTO MARKET on: February 21, 2019, 06:36:19 AM
After a year, a lot of lessons that we did learn. There are 2 precious things that I think I should remember:

+ Fear
+ Greed

I learned that from my teacher, he said when you buy Bitcoin at 10k, it's then $12k your greed rises inside you and you don't want to take profit and expect more. Then, the downtrend is coming, BTC goes down to $8k, you'll be scared to cut loss, and what'll happen, you lose more while BTC drops to $4k.

So, we need to set up your expected profit point as well as the stoploss point.

How about you, what is your lesson?
One way of avoiding greed is to make a reasonable profit for you and after that money exceeds your expectations then the extra money you earn is the one you are trying to gain profit as a second batch capital. Losing is a way of life and winning is too. Accept the outcome of your work whether it is good or bad. Don't focus on earning money, instead focus on earning knowledge because it cannot be taken from you hehe. Have a responsible way of thinking and avoid greed.

Have a entry and a good exit plan, that's it, you don't need to make it complicated.

But the problem is that even if traders have a good exit plan, most of the time, they wanted more. Lol.

But when they lost, they blame everyone. Good thing though is that they could have learn a valuable lessons if they have greed in their system. There's nothing wrong in booking your profits according to your exit plan and then live another day to trade, just saying.
7162  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin finally crossed $4000 on: February 21, 2019, 06:08:07 AM
Finally we are near to our goal which is to increased again the market keep motivating people to invest again to the market or rise the value again of the bitcoin and to achieve $4000. Only 50 dollars plus are needed to reach the value of the bitcoin at the $4000. Im expecting to increase the value at $4000 this day or next few days.

Today price already hit the 4K mark and came back slightly as per worldcoinindex website. Now it is important to maintain this price above 4K for some time and this can happen if no bad news comes out about cryptos. May some people start booking partial profits and if that happens then we can see price trading below 4K for some more time.
I'm really waiting for the price of bitcoin to reach $ 4000. well, for now there may be some exchanger that has reached that price, but it's not stable yet. maybe within a few days, the price of bitcoin can be more than $ 4000, and stable. keep watching.

I take a quick glance at coinmarketcap, and now it's official that the price touches $4K, Woot!!!

Yes, it might not be the stable $4K that we all have been wanted to see, so let's give like a couple of days. It might sustain its run to $4200 which is a good indication that the bull run might actually starting this month, but remain calm, too early to celebrate as exchanges right now are very busy and I still see a lot of traders selling and booking profits as well. But definitely, the market comes alive again.
7163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you think of this bitcoin halving chart? on: February 21, 2019, 05:53:13 AM
Based on my experience on the last block halving, it took months like four to five months after before we see the price moving on the positive so I'm not sure if they will be same in 2020.

So it means that yes it has a positive effect but it's not felt overnight. So for those who are saying that this event could be the catalyst, yes, it might, but we need to wait for the actual effect after. It won't be the magic wand that will turn the price from $3K-$20K just like that.
7164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market is almost here on: February 20, 2019, 02:04:20 PM
Everyone in crypto always hope this is bull run after long bear market. JP Morgan launching their own crypto is a good news, and finally they turned around and made crypto themselves.

Lol, are you out of your mind? JP Morgan is not a real crypto, did you know that it's being used for their private thingy? So how can it be a good news or how can it affect the price positively? I doubt you know that,  Grin

Oh well, a lot of people are really getting excited to see the market turning green in the last couple of days. It's understandable though, but let's see if bitcoin can push above $4K and sustained it or ETH goes around $200.

Exciting times ahead again for everyone. The question is did got the chance to buy in the last dip or the last bottom? Or able to accumulate in 2018? If your answer is yes, then you're definitely at the end of your sit right now and praying for the price to continue it's climb.
7165  Economy / Economics / Re: Public Benefit Corporations on: February 20, 2019, 01:51:11 PM
I'm not sure about the impact in the economy as well, I think there might be cases that PBC has somewhat has a positive effect, but its not that huge, perhaps.

I read that Delaware is a good use case as they are more friendly to PBC's, but I can't find any study that says the impact is drastic, so for now we don't have any data to gauge, or if there are data, if might be too small at PBC is still in its infancy, I believed.
7166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will not go above $4,000 on: February 20, 2019, 01:40:41 PM
Wait for more results mate before you saying anything that can cause and affect on this bitcoin small progress.  Indeed you have no strong evidence that can prove about your statement so be quiet! Stop making false speculation especially if you don't have reference about it.  It's useless. Lol

Lol, he is entitled to his opinion so be it. No one is forced to listen or believed it. And as you can see everyone is not agreeing with the OP.

Anyhow, let's see, the price is almost at $4K now, the last time I check, only a just like $20, so it's really achievable.

I'm not sure about the gold comparison, bitcoin has it's own path to make and we don't need to compare it to other assets, specially precious metals like gold or even diamonds.
7167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful of strange projects on: February 20, 2019, 01:33:33 PM
today now have a lots of fraud and scam project in this moment we need to be more careful on what project that will invest our money. we just need to look and read the details and concept of the project either it's look promising..

I totally stay away of ICO projects right now, it's too much risk because majority turns out to be very scammy. So if you find nice ICO projects then invest but remember the risk involved.

Or better yet, not invest at all and just put all your money in bitcoin alone, right now is it the best time since the market is already on a point of recovering. Don't be the guy that missed the boat and complain that they didn't enter when the price is still cheap.
7168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REVERSE ICOs? on: February 20, 2019, 05:26:47 AM

To be honest its first time to hear a so called " reverse ico's "  but if they dont host or do ico's then they shouldnt be called reverse ico's  .

I think they are less riskier than compare to a real ico's because an actual ico needs to collect funds from their investors before they start their project  .

Just remeber , only invest amounts that you can afford to loose no matter how less risky the invest is  .

Quote
DEFINITION of Reverse ICO

Reverse initial coin offering (ICO) is a method used by existing, established real-world businesses to raise funds and get into cryptocurrency. These enterprises have existing products and/or services, and they cater to real world customers. Essentially, reverse ICO acts as an initial public offering (IPO) allowing an existing enterprise to launch cryptocurrency tokens and seek funds through crowdsourcing.

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/reverse-ico.asp

I think there is still a risk but I would say that it's minimal as compare to a ICO wherein it's a like a gamble to put your money with them because you don't know if the project will be successful or not.

However, I don't know if there are projects in crypto that indeed implements reverse ICO. So it's really hard to say at this point, risk is still there, so you need a lot of DYOR if what project you're going to invest just because they're going in a reverse ICO.
7169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM on: February 20, 2019, 05:09:10 AM
Cryptocurrency ATM is a must when more and more users get into the network. Philippines being one of the country in the Asian continent having lots of cryptocurrency users coming with a plan to launch its own cryptocurrency ATM is truly appreciable. The same being done by one of the leading banking service provider Union Bank will let reach common people with ease.

I wouldn't say it's a must, but probably just a "nice-to-haves".

I say this because those bitcoin ATM machines will charge you huge fees to begin with so I don't think it's a nice idea for crypto enthusiast to rely on these ATM machines. Localbitcoins is still the best way, if you have to ask me. What makes this special though is that the machine will come directly from a bank in the Philippines, which is unheard of, as far as I know.
7170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we wait for a big drop in BTC? on: February 20, 2019, 05:03:22 AM
Bitcoin will never drop below 3000$ ,best way to do is to buy btc now while you still have a chance, because within a month or two bitcoin is on the rocket again.
WHy it will never drop below $3000? few weeks back we hve lot of technical analysis predictions says that we are going to reach $2900 or little lower. Roll Eyes
No one really knows what it is going to happen, just look at those people that were predicting the price of bitcoin will go down to those levels and in fact the opposite happened, if you want to have reliable information about what it is happening in the market then you do not have any other option but to try to get that information by yourself.

It's because the market is volatile and unpredictable and those who are predicting may have bad motives behind.

Right now bitcoin is on a rally (I wouldn't say we're in the bull run yet), so it's a good indication that we won't be reaching below $3k for now as the price goes to $4k. Yes we love to listen so some critique or some TA but most of the time bitcoin will go on opposite direction, just saying.  Grin
7171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin. What is possibly happening on: February 20, 2019, 04:58:19 AM

So today everyone knows how to short, many people still in the game but not expecting too much from this. So we can say that it is probably a new period to gain new hype and adoption cycle. I believe next hype cycle will take place when halvening and lighting happens. What are your thoughts on current situation, and how do you see bitcoin or any other crypto being adopted as a paying instrument for anything being such a volatile asset?

It's hard to short today, in my opinion, only those who have the nerves and experience do it.

Past on historical past or the previous block halving in 2016, I would say it start the bull run but it takes four months or so.

So it's not like after the halving, bull run will start right away, you will have to wait and see what the reaction of investors after this event.
7172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mercatox is it scam or not? Do they ask for KYC? on: February 18, 2019, 03:27:00 PM
Hey mate I think it's better if you move this thread to Exchanges: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0.

Personally though I haven't tried Mercatox so I can't say if they're scam or not. This is the official ANN thread as well: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1662702.0.

7173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee on JPMorgan on: February 18, 2019, 02:40:07 PM
As per the article:

Quote
However, when Coined Times asked McAfee whether Dimon was a hypocrite for changing his views on crypto, McAfee was much more moderate in his response. He said JPMorgan’s reason for and strategy behind creating its own crypto “interests me little.”

I would say that John is somewhat right, it doesn't interest anyone in the crypto verse. JPM coin is for their exclusive used only, so it doesn't have any effect on the market whatsoever. I wouldn't say it's crypto as well because anyone couldn't invest on it because it's going to be a private token with private ledger.

7174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "They laughed when I created Bitcoin, but when it started to grow…" on: February 18, 2019, 02:35:11 PM
Lol, I think we should get over with CSW as the real Satoshi. It was already proven that he is fake Satoshi, so there's should be no argument.

Bitcoin was created by Satoshi and after that he/she/they wishes to remain anonymous, so lets leave it like that. People are getting tired of this conspiracies, it's good in paper to attract attention, but it doesn't serve any purpose for the whole crypto verse.
7175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrency in 2019 on: February 18, 2019, 02:26:36 PM
That fact that people think that this market is to get rich quick here makes a lot of them lost money here in the end.

How many join in 2017 and think that the price will go on parabolic rise? Many, and how many of them got burned easily in 2018? A lot.

So to make money here, you need to change your mindset. It involves a lot of risk and patience if you don't have the key attitude then obviously, you will eventually lose.

Just like bounty hunters now, its not that lucrative anymore, but there are still few good one around, you just need to do your homework, just saying.
7176  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea leaning towards blockchain related activities on: February 18, 2019, 01:16:08 PM
Some companies from South Korea still pursue the development of blockchain-based technologies even if ICOs were banned by the government.
Are these companies will create a token just for them to be able to pursue the adoption of blockchain to their systems? South Korea is one of the friendliest country in the world that's willing to adopt crypto and blockchain which is happening right now.

As per article, it looks like this is all private based blockchain so it doesn't bring any significant dent to the adoption of crypto. Adoption of blockchain technology ≠ crypto adoption.

According to a report from CryptoNews, Keb Hana, one of the largest commercial banks from South Korea, recently filed 46 blockchain-related patents about blockchain-based applications.
One of a hell adoption is coming there and AFAIK there's a cut to the taxation if the companies are blockchain related.

I'm not sure about this as well, and I don't think companies care, they wanted to explore blockchain that will help them improved their business model, so it doesn't matter if there is a taxation cut or not, might be good as bonus though.

7178  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do nigerians & indians love to scam? on: February 18, 2019, 12:35:10 PM
Don't you think the niggerians and indians should do something more productive instead of trying ot scam others?

Lol, everyone loves to scam regardless of race or nationality.

The quick answer is why people love to scam? It's easy and quick money, they got some sensation or what they call the rush of conning people without doing any work.

But you don't need to isolate nationality or race here, that's a bitch move.
7179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: Deep crash before going to the moon? on: February 18, 2019, 12:06:08 PM
Right now ETH seems to be spiking, as of the moment it touch another mental barrier, which is $140, so probably it can go as high as $200, if we build enough momentum as the whole market is really starting to get hot again.

So if by chance it breaches $200, I'm sure that this will be he start of ETH's bull-run this year, hard to say what price it might ended, but this is a good indication that somewhat a bounce back in already in the horizon. And I'm sure that we are far away from the last all-time-high so I have high hopes that we're going on a positive direction, so to speak.
7180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Change Of KYC Pattern on: February 18, 2019, 11:58:33 AM
There have been so much issues arising from bounty hunters doing kyc. So many bounty hunters are against it. Also looking at what kyc means, it means know your customer and bounty hunters are not customers.

Yes, that's the sad part of enforcing KYC even to bounty hunters.

So my thought is this: if there must be kyc , it should be done before the start of the bounty. If you pass the kyc, you start the bounty but if you fail, you just leave it and look for some other promising bounty.

What do you think about this?

This could be a good idea. Or if you're a bounty hunter you can ask right away if KYC is needed before joining. But for me, I really don't like KYC for hunters because I don't want to compromise my identify.
