8141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: April 12, 2018, 04:07:15 AM
Being shy or nervous sometimes occurs because you are still inexperienced and new. Of course you don't have to sit right away in a table you feel full of sharks and whales. The first thing to do is actually observe and participate when you feel comfortable.

I agree, when I was just starting my gambling journey in a landbase casino, I'm just a standing bettor, will just observe how those sitting gamblers are doing and I will just go with the flow. There was one instance though that I was a unaware about winning a bet in baccarat because its a super 6, meaning the pay is just half, but I didn't understand so I asked the dealer and I was so embarrassed because they are all looking at me.

But now I have totally overcome my shyness and even sitting at the table whenever I want. But yeah, at first you will be shy and embarrass but when you gain experience, I'm sure that you will be very comfortable and rubbing elbows with everyone in the table.
8142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan Overcharged fee on: April 12, 2018, 03:46:55 AM
JPMorgan sued over fees for cryptocurrency purchases

I'll summary the sequence;
1. Called bitcoin a fraud.
2. Bought at dip
3. Regret calling bitcoin a fraud.
4. Overcharged cryptocurrency purchases.

The lesson here for those who are keep on spreading FUD in the forum about negative news. Try to learn and understand this technique made by Jamie Dimon. (Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan)

Yeah, Dimon And JPMorgan made a killing around September, riding all the Chinese FUD and attacking bitcoin and calling it a fraud. And later we found out that they bought huge amount of it and made a lot of profits. They are all laughing at us that time because weak hands have dumped their coins that's why they are able to buy a lot and then suddenly offload everything.

Another really hard lessons to learn specially for newbies. Don't be affected by FUD, because those who are really spreading false news about bitcoin is actually secretly buying in dips from behind and they are happy if you guys are easily swayed and pushing the sell button because they can get it at cheap price.
8143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Preparing for a Huge Breakout? on: April 11, 2018, 07:28:15 PM
I agree that the price is somewhat stuck at around $6800 in the last couple of days and it seems that's its either investors are still waiting before putting their money, or there is a constant bulls vs bears fighting out.

I'm no TA expert but I wouldn't be surprise if there is a huge breakout as we have been in this bearish trend for so long now that its about time to see some semblance of a rally to bring the confidence of investors back to the ecosystem.

So yes, I will continue to hold for now and not do any shit move that will jeopardize my potential profits. Hope that the OP is right about his prediction so that we can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
8144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: April 10, 2018, 10:06:23 PM
Anyone who has ever been or are in a committed relationship or marriage where both people gamble? Or in a relationship with a gambler with a friend, best friend, family related etc...  Knowing you are in it together is weird comforting and gives me some sort of undefined explanation.

What does that look like for you? Your experience needs to be heard.

My father is heavy gambler. Not in a casino but in cockpit and card in some group of friends who bet big amount. It is very hard to have a gambler in the family especially if its your father because finances is uncertain. Our financial status is unstable and my parents always fight because of it. Its really hard.

Well my father is also a gambler, but I don't consider him a addicted one. But I'm sure that I inherited it from it. On the contrary, I didn't experience what you have gone through. Yes, we struggle financially but it not because of my father's gambling habits.

So I can say that it really depends, my mother is not a gambler, and I'm sure that she didn't condone my father's gambling habit but it didn't destroy their relationship. Maybe they understand what their priorities was at that time and my father just gamble (horse racing), just to have some fun and he knows his limit that why my mother is OK with that, I guess.
8145  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitfinex locked my 500 BTC account and is asking for police report on: April 10, 2018, 11:52:12 AM
It looks like that Bitfinex just wanted to make sure that you are the real owners of the account because that one fucking amount dude. One question though, how did you lose access to the account though? Or did you totally forgotten about it? I mean you just let it sit there? That's a dangerous thing to do I must say, why haven't you transferred it to a wallet like Electrum since you already have one?

I don't want to do that math but if you have 500 BTC and you have exchange it last December that's a ton shit of money mate. Just saying. I guess you have no choice but to comply with them, what they are asking can be provided by you isn't it? So make your move today instead of complaining so that you can get everything and let this be a lesson to you to have it in a hard wallet at least because its really a lot of money.
8146  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to make a successful project? on: April 10, 2018, 11:11:22 AM
We have seen one very successful project as far as know with having a futuristic project and that is Apple with Steve J. as at the helm of it. Steve was very futuristic and he see things in the future that's why he has drastically change the lives of many people with his inventions.

And you have made solid points and this is what most of the successful projects in the past, not just in crypto have in common. I guess you really have all the combinations and the puzzle fits perfectly in order to achieved success.

Of course team behind,  I mean support is also important. You should only hire the best, as what Facebook or Google is doing, they get the best of the best and offer them not just salary but a lot of perks that other company can't match.
8147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Fortune Jack a Scam or are they Legit? on: April 10, 2018, 08:52:39 AM
Why do you think they are not legit? Did you make new account just for this accusation?
I hate when someone without any proof's and evidences come here and start to accuse casino's, site's, others people, etc..
This is classical trolling what OP is doing, I wouldn't give him any credits.

The OP never accused anything, he just asking whether the site is legit or not, the one I know is FJ is a quite reputable site, it is a legit site but the site also got issue, their reputation for customer support is really bad, but never heard any big complaint that the sites doesn't pay the player
My personal experience, I do not have any issues with FJ. They always pay me for whatever it is, I do not turn a blind eye to community complaints against them. What is clear is that only FJ is entitled to give an official statement to make it clear. On the other hand I have been comfortable playing inside because I think FJ is a legitimate site and I have never experienced any problems with their site.

Thanks @rizkyhiw, If Fortune Jack is not paying their user based, they will not this far. They have been in the on line gambling for many years now and still one of the most established and trusted sites.

Of course if they are holding withdrawals, they have their own reasons. Just maybe they found that users might be cheating and its pretty obvious that not just Fortune Jack or online casinos, but land based casinos as well to check if everything is legit before paying the players. Many of us has been with other casinos as well, but remain with Fortune Jack because they are still paying as of today.

But just as what other businesses, when you are on top, someone will try to bring you down, coming up will all accusations you can find in the book.
8148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: April 09, 2018, 11:58:09 PM
The more you think about it, the more appropriate it becomes as an analogy. Both sides are rather zealous in their representations that they and only they are the true adherents to the original vision of the idea (either Christianity in this example, or the concept of Bitcoin and Satoshi's original vision where Satoshi is practically a prophet), and both sides spend a great deal of time and energy trying to convert people to their side and vilifying the other side as heretics who are corrupting a pure idea for their own gain. In Christianity, it was the Catholic Church that lost its way and was corrupted and in crypto, it's Bitcoin's Board that refuses to address the block size. The spam attack on the BTC blockchain to try and make it unusable is practically a holy war to try and force people into converting to BCH. The way people behave in both religion and the crypto schism between BTC and BCH, from the self-righteous attitudes they take in regards to the other side to the vilifying or attempts to harm the other system, are strikingly similar.

When you put it that way the similarities are stark but there is a fundamental difference  Grin

As it stands Bitcoin Cash is hanging on in there but has not even slightly dented Bitcoin or the enthusiasm surrounding it. If the whales were to create a fork from Bitcoin with a view to helping the community long term then Bitcoin Cash should have been pushed through with a clearer and stronger mandate with advanced attributes not possessed by Bitcoin. Just the desire to show the Bitcoin Board (as you put it) that they could fork and create a new coin was never going to be enough. It seems the Bitcoin Cash creators always had an ulterior motive which was to reap financial benefits that fork would bring but would never part with their Bitcoin regardless. If they really believed in Bitcoin Cash those whales would have got rid of the Bitcoin and that is the fundamental difference between the two scenarios because both those Christian denominations followed their own religious edicts after the split without weaving in and out of each others' teachings and without holding on to the cloth of the other group just in case they needed jump ship and follow the other group.

In this case people who gained Bitcoin Cash as a result of the fork should sell all their Bitcoin and hold their Bitcoin Cash till their hearts content, that is if they actually believe in what they preach. Those holding Bitcoin who did not want the fork but received Bitcoin Cash should by all means sell them and follow the yellow brick road to Oz via Bitcoin.

If I may add, those Lutherans was just confined around Germany, Austria (if my memory serves me right) and didn't gain enough traction from the Catholic community, maybe they swayed a few but Catholics remain the dominant religious group throughout centuries and Lutherans didn't took off as expected.

Similar to what we are seeing today, after the split there was an attempt by BCH fanboys to overthrow Bitcoin, with negative attacks and spamming the bitcoin network, but they didn't succeed. Community knows better who are behind Bitcoin Cash, all greedy individuals who are trying to portray Bitcoin Cash as the new Bitcoin, but what happened? no support from our community. Just like what we have witnessed during the religious schism in the 15th-16th century.
8149  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: April 09, 2018, 10:58:22 PM
What was leaked exactly?

Email? Most likely
Usernames? Most likely
Passwords? Most likely
2fa recover codes? Not likely

What about your fortinejackpartner affiliate site?

Was anything leaked from that separate server? Usernames? Emails? Passwords?

If fund is still in tact that means the only thing that got stolen is email and probably username. If someone has access to your account through stolen password that would be shit. However 3 days ago someone tried to get into my 'crypto' exchange by using my email but put in wrong password several times and got my account locked, I wonder if this is connected

* I wont say the crypto exchange name for security

Or the perpetrator might also have the user's passwords but due to high encryption he/she can't access the accounts.
I'm sure Fortunejack have put a secure way to prevent cracking and definitely don't save naked passwords.

Of course FortuneJack has been in the business for many years and security of their customers is their number 1 priority. Maybe they have seen the attacks that's why they are launching a new website. Exchanges are different though, hackers can easily exploit their system as evident of many hacks before.

FortuneJack already notify the community and even sent out emails to FortuneJack players to immediately change their passwords. So its better to be safe than sorry.
8150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 223: Nurmagomedov vs ??? Info Prediction, MCGREGOR ATTACKS BUS LOL! on: April 09, 2018, 10:20:08 PM
Story so far: Conor was stripped of both the UFC featherweight belt @ 145 lbs and the lightweight belt @ 155 lbs. He is mad about that. Then Khabib and his team cornered Conor's teammate, Artem Lobov and there is a video clip of Khabib lightly slapping Artem on the head floating around youtube. Afterward Conor flew from ireland to new york to throw things through the windows of Khabib's bus in retaliation.

Correct mate, there's is also rumor that Khabib cornered Conor's team mate asking why he doesn't want to face Khabib (well we don't know if Conor doesn't want to fight Khabib or still hyping the fight).

I think Conor's court hearing is in june or july 2018. He'll have to return to new york and face whatever charges people file against him. Initially Dana White said Conor would be sued to the full extent of the law. Later on, Dana seemed to calm down and said what Conor did wasn't as bad as things which happen in other sports. I don't think Conor will be sued too badly the damage he inflicted didn't seem too severe. Michael Chiesa got a few small cuts. And Ray Borg might have gotten glass in his eye. Don't think either injuries were too bad though.

Maybe Dana that this drama will bring a lot of money in the table when all the suspensions and court hearings are done and Conor goes back to UFC and fight again. Him paying for the damages is nothing compare to the money he made with Floyd's fight so I think he can cover it. They are all business man so sooner or later when everything is calm down, we will see the drama unfold on the octagon itself, Khabib vs Conor, to break all UFC PPV records.
8151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: George Soros goes from crypto skeptic to investor in just 3 months on: April 09, 2018, 09:56:17 PM
Despite this great news of Soros stepping into cryptocurrencies, the price of bitcoin dropped from $7000 to $6600 in just a few hours. Would this drop have been initiated by Soros or just coincidence?

Its just a coincidence mate. This has been the trend as of late, its like we are making 1 step forward and then taking 2 steps backward. When we are about to rally and pick it up, the market will suddenly take a turn and the price pulling back.

As far as Soros and other traditional investors getting into the picture, I don't know, I'm still not sold on them. During the peak of bitcoin, all those guys keep attacking bitcoin saying all nasty things about it. So I'm thinking that maybe they have really plans to join the bandwagon, but since the price is already steep that time, they have to do something to pull the price down so that they can invest large amounts.

And now it has been unmasked that crypto is already at their radar as well. So let's see it what they are saying is true and hope that they will somewhat influence the price if ever they have enter the ecosystem already.
8152  Economy / Speculation / Re: how long the bearish trend will last on: April 08, 2018, 11:59:05 PM
I read somewhere that bearish trends come and go in like about 60-90 days. But its looks like we are in for longer than that so I'm assuming that anyone we will see that market will get some semblance of at least a good rally to renewed interest of most investors who opted to get out early when the bearish trend started to blanket the ecosystem.

But I will remain bullish about bitcoin because I'm here for the long haul, so it ever their bearish trend continues, then I will continue to purchase whenever I can and continue to accumulate, if we see it getting to 5 digits again, the better because I'm been holding bitcoins for as long as I can. So you need to be smart here, learn how to hold and how long you gonna hold and what is the perfect time to get in.
8153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sunday best buy day!! i execpt a down trend. on: April 08, 2018, 11:20:51 PM
Be Ready for the buy day sunday! or today late.
i am waiting, and expect a down trend.

Dude you are late, bitcoin has been in the downtrend for more than 3 months now and its been a good buying opportunity for all of us. And what's specially about Sunday though? You know some inside information?  Grin

I guess you are just speculating here or you are expecting that bitcoin will go to $5K as there are thread about saying that it will go that low. Unfortunately, as per coinmarketcap the price is $7,034.84    so I don't think its going down.

But its still a good buy though, just get in and don't want till the price goes to the floor. Actually we don't know what's going to be the floor price. So not its not late, purchase while the item is still 'hot'.
8154  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FortuneJack Scam! on: April 08, 2018, 10:58:41 PM
Ok let's put thing into perspective here:

1. Hhampuz open a new FortuneJack Signature Campaign - Starts 6th of April - Sr./Hero/Legendary
2. The signature campaign hasn't lasted for even a week, and accusations started coming in.  Grin

So its looks like its either those butt hurt members who are not accepted in this campaign or just trolls trying to destroy Fortune Jack's reputation here in the forum or they simply lost their money playing at FJ.

Fortune Jack has been in this gambling business for so long and at least has a lot of online players and still paying their patrons as far as I know.
8155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: April 08, 2018, 09:59:11 PM
Regarding his upcoming fight with Matthysse, it is confirmed by his financial adviser Michael Koncz that he parted ways with International Boxing Hall of Famer Freddie Roach last December 2017 and one of the reason why Manny decided to part ways with Freddie Roach was about his last fight with Jeff Horn. It looks like Freddie Roach said something in the media that Manny didnt like. So this fight with Matthysse the chief trainer will his childhood friend Buboy Fernandez.

So its clear now that Freddie is out of the picture. Well, I guess every good things must come to an end. But knowing Manny, I think they parted amicably and no bad blood between the two as we have heard Manny saying that Freddie is like a second father to him. And good thing that they keep this quiet because we all know how media will spun this one and put words on their mouth specially Roach as we all know that most of the time he blurted things and media will put another meaning on it. Just sad though to see them parting ways.

Trivia: When Manny Pacquiao was knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez last 2013, the first word/name that comes out of the mouth of Manny when he started to regain consciousness was the name of Buboy.

They are best buddies. But I don't know how good Buboy being a trainer though. Maybe he learn a lot from Freddie and I'm sure that he will still apply those tricks to training Manny for his upcoming fight with Lucas Mattyse.
8156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez tested positive on a banned substance on: April 08, 2018, 09:25:02 PM
I don't know if boxing fans here are aware of the latest news:

Quote
For those who have yet to hear, it was announced on Monday that Saul “Canelo” Alvarez had tested positive for “trace levels” of Clenbuterol during voluntary pre-fight screening for banned substances ahead of his May 5 rematch with Gennady Golovkin.

http://www.fighthype.com/news/article32541.html

They blame it on the contaminated meat in Mexico which is really plaguing the country now. But I don't know if this is intentional or what and they are pointing fingers to the meat industry for using Clen to raised and breed their cattles to be more lean with less fat on it.

What's your take on this?

But I hope that GGG vs Alvarez II will push thru this May to settle once and for all who is the true p4p king.
The reputation of some Mexican boxing superstars were tainted when it comes to banned substance use. I saw the fight between Alvarez vs Golovkin and i could say that GGG dominated Alvarez through out the fight and how much more if he had not used that banned substance.  Smiley

It's really was a close fight. But I still do believed that Golovkin won the first fight. Yeah it looks like some Mexican boxing stars were caught and was allowed to continue and still fight. But I guess Saul Alvarez case was different, I can only speculate that the NSAC may have been found "conclusive' evidence to warrant Saul to be suspended, that's why Golden Boy pre-empts it by having Saul Alvarez withdraw the fight in anticipation of the NSAC suspension.

This will really put a question mark on Canelo's record specially after he retires. This will haunt him and detractors will used this argument to attack his reputation.

I don't know what time zone you guys are but from my end is April 5 already so I don't know if the site is really down for the whole day already or it's just me?

And if you are going to do some maintenance or upgrade at least inform the community as well.

Also, I'm still waiting for the sign message to see if you have enough funds to cover if whales do win huge amount of bitcoin. Just go check Primedice in the beginning they were hit with like tons of bitcoin in the beginning but was able to pay them. I'm not saying that you will not pay, but having a sign message with the amount you are saying will at least put some legitimacy on your new dice game. Goodluck...
8158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 05, 2018, 06:19:57 PM

Oh my that is a horrible event for the Boston Celtics. Although they have a good squad, Kyrie Irving is a big factor to them. There chances in getting to finals are now getting slim as you know in Eastern Conference, you need a complete and healthy lineup to match and compete with the Toronto Raptors and especially the Cleveland Cavaliers. Im not saying that they will easily be loss but let's be honest here that Celtics will have a difficult game if they faced Cavaliers on their playoffs run. And not just that, others remaining teams on the East that they will faced have big chances to crushed them down.

But I know Celtics will do their best as always. Last year, it's IT and now it's Irving.

Ouch, I initially thought that Irving's injury is not that serious and hope that he can make the playoffs for the C's. Unfortunately, its not the case and wish him the best so that he can go back next season.

Yeah, I would agree that the chances of Cavs getting to the finals increases because of Kryie's injury. Would love to see who's gonna be on top with Toronto, Celtics and Cavs. But it looks like its gonna be Toronto vs Cavs unless other teams pull a upset.

Anyone dark horse team in the East that can stop the Toronto vs Cavs party?

End of road for Cryptocurrencies in INDIA?
India Bans Cryptocurrencies with Immediate Effect

Wow. This is seriously getting out of hand. Look at all these newbies spreading FUD without thinking clearly. Such people need to educate themselves before posting opening such silly threads. End of the road for crypto in India? Really? Bitcoin has proven time and time again that it cannot be manipulated by any government in this world, but there will always be haters no matter what. The Indian government are clearly trying to discourage investors from investing into the crypto market, but these bans and regulations will only lead the investors to discover alternate means of dealing with crypto(Hint: There are many).

Exactly, what the fuck with all the newbies account spreading malice in the forum? Are they really not dumb or another trolls or paid schills? Your guess is as good as mine.

Just sad though they some of the members here are in panic the moment they see threads like this as if portraying is gonna be the end of the crypto. You guys really give me a good chuckle every morning. Yes, India might be a good market for bitcoin but India hasn't ban it at all, they are still in the middle, so it means that they can still trade OTC just like China.

Keep the FUD coming though, sometimes this guys sounds like a broken music record here that its either you will totally ignore them for their lack of knowledge or doesn't give a fuck or gives you a good laugh at this crisis.
