721  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Dark use of Bitcoin on: July 08, 2019, 06:52:43 PM
Don't buy illegal things over internet. Sooner or later you may end up at jail.

I agree that it's too dangerous to do illegal things through the Internet, but you can also be easily caught outside

it is equally dangerous to do illegal things on the web or in real life
internet gives a false sense of anonymity , when in reality your identity is traceable if really needed
but you won't necessarily end up in jail , the agencies who have the ability and resources to trace the illegal deals
won't bother with petty crimes , same as in the outside world - the rules of the game are the same
722  Economy / Speculation / Re: Downward Trend on: July 08, 2019, 12:26:26 PM
There still is no bearish trend, we have not even left the upward trend.    Still sideways and here is my view for the moment of us challenging the upper band of the channel in place for months now.     It must fail many times it seems to really encourage any selling pressure and then we can talk about downward trend.    I keep looking but its not there yet

it does depend on the time frame , if you take a month's period we are still in an upward trend
also today only bitcoin gained around 750$ and is testing 12.000$
but if you take this fortnight , we are down from 13.500 $ to almost 9980 at some point
and only huge buying volumes on a Friday , if I'm not mistaken , allowed the price to return back into the 10-11k area
with so much volatility a 10% up and down is not even a correction - its a fluctuation
723  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | V2 & New games out now! 👽 on: July 08, 2019, 11:37:29 AM
Cranes and rains are made for small players, they make advertising sites, if you remove the free coins that the casino will be closed because there will be no one to promote it . And considering that this casino does not care about the work of its site , it will be closed within a month if small players who play on free coins leave from there, Free coins are a fee for

If small players who play with free coins leaves Stake, I doubt it will make the site closed within a month. Simply because the number of real players who play with their own money(deposit) is still huge enough, small players who play with free coins basically gives nothing to the casino. Look at the fact that there are many other casinos that does not even offer free coins regularly for their players, in fact they can survive for long time because the existence of real players. I dont mean to underestimate small players but even if they leave the site, it wont give negative effects to the site.

I would go as far as saying that if Stake removed the 0.00005 doge faucet ( yes this is how much I'm getting per claim now- tried out of curiosity )
literally nothing would happen in terms of popularity , since the faucet there is just for testing purposes since the amount you get is impossible to build up
well ,  unless you are super extremely lucky and can make a 1 satoshi faucet into something big
I remember the posts on Stake's forum where people managed to hit high multipliers from the faucet , up to 5.000.000 on mines
so now if you manage to hit that in a several year's time , all you get would be 0.05 btc , not worth the effort in my books

permanent error ----  Please try again in a few seconds. Your limit reached ----
After what rates and chat stop, play not perhaps .

it happens randomly to me as well , guess it the update thing that gone wrong
or maybe it is Firefox related , since I'm using firefox and it behaves erratically when I play dice
my chat would freeze after some period of time, randomly and I get network errors
ah and when I leave it to its own devices the stake's page  manages to hog 5-8 gigabytes of RAM somehow
hope it is going to get fixed soon since I do not fancy changing my browser ,besides, Chrome users report it as well

This happens all the time, in any browser , there is a suspicion that they have a hidden miner installed on the site

you are funny
725  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-06]Iranian Official Says US Congress is Working to Block Iran’s Crypto on: July 07, 2019, 07:54:42 PM
I wonder how are they going to enforce it?
block mining from Iran sounds as fantastic as making Iran comply with the imposed sanctions
what the US could do - block Iranian IP access to the controlled mining pools?
or monitor the coins that originated there? in any case , this is not going to happen , Iran has shown that they are ready to go all the way and the strike on their forces would mean a full out war
don't think trying to mess with their mining capabilities is as important as their nuclear programme , which , by the way taken a new turn with Iran enriching plutonium to the sub-nuclear weapon capable state , this could lead to unforeseen consequences and not only for the US , but for Israel , for example
726  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-27]Millions of investors can't sell their bitcoins on: July 07, 2019, 06:19:31 PM
well it says many things about Blockchain.com and their service
they have to comply with the regulations and making the minimal amount that high saves them the trouble
in particular , the US customers are serviced by SFOX which are partnered with blockchain : https://www.sfox.com/
hence they have to comply to the rules set by this exchange
if I wanted to sell my coins I  could have sent them to any of the non-KYC exchanges and sold it there , so the article shows that
blockchain.com  is not very customer friendly , but it doesn't mean that you are limited to 0.01 btc and above amounts to be able to cash out , this is simply not true

This promotion is working really well, people are wagering a lot.
yup working like a charm Smiley
I'm sad I could not exchange my other coins to participate
since I didn't have doge I deposited eth and tried to exchange for doge - no such luck
it appears that the exchanger has been drained by the ones who wanted , like myself , to participate in the wagering event
hope it is topped up soon , thank you in advance

729  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💰 BetOnBit.com | Unique crypto betting site | Sports & Esports 💰 on: July 07, 2019, 04:08:49 PM
its a very dark design indeed , the background is all black and dark blue
while the games are in ... grey! really , I have to flinch to see what are the teams there
at least make the font white so it doesn't get lost in the overall dark forest of the site
I guess it is your call , but I'm sure other gamblers are feeling the same as me - too dark , too unreadable
menu items and the games should be done in a lighter colour , maybe slightly less white than the Betonbit logo
730  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: July 07, 2019, 12:39:30 PM
There is another easy one tomorrow :
COPA AMERICA - BRAZIL VS PERU
1.06 for Brazil LOL   Cheesy It's a small odd... 6%.
Do you think the Risk/Reward ratio worths it?
I don't know. It can go either way though Brazil will most likely win even if there is no guarantee. I got burnt by betting on Egypt which was a shocker. Egypt literally won so many of their recent matches and this seriously shocked me.

The recent Chile defeat also burnt me badly. Invest only what you are willing to lose. Don't bet a huge amount and expect Brazil to pull through. So many upsets in this tournament already.

1.01-1.06x are the payout ratios I suggest avoiding at all costs
usually the margin on them way higher and you risk losing your coins more than betting on a value 2-3x
I have seen ( and experienced myself many a times ) games where the team played home vs an outsider who barely scored a goal in the past several games
yet the favorite managed to lose , one of the examples - a football game I will never forget : Scotland vs Faroe Islands 2:2
where I bet copious amounts of money on Scotland to win , sad story for me
731  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-27]Survey: 27% of UK Residents Want to See Crypto in More Real-World Ap on: July 07, 2019, 12:20:46 PM
while the number is pretty high , we do not know how was the survey conducted
1000 people can be a good representation with on average 2-3% error margin ( it depends on many factors and the professionalism of the pollers)
it also depends on the questions asked , it can be Do you think bitcoin can be used in more real world applications?
which is very easy to get a positive response to , unless the respondent never heard about what bitcoin is
this would mean that at least 30% +- have heard about bitcoin and are positive about it - want it to be used more
732  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency, KYC and Terrorism on: July 07, 2019, 10:42:14 AM
KYC verification has become a big problem for investors in ICO projects, but it has become an even bigger problem for participants in the ICO bounty campaigns. Most KYC checks are carried out after the end of the ICO, when bounty hunters are no longer able to refuse to participate. After all, they have done the agreed work and are just waiting for the deserved payment by tokens. Here, KYC verification already serves as a form of fraud in order not to pay the tokens earned by us.
As for the possibility of using our data by terrorists, this, of course, is not excluded. However, I do not think that the probability is high. There are not so many terrorists using cryptocurrency in the world, in any case, not anonymous types of it.
No way! I believe that we can invest without giving our identity. KYC process is just for whales because small investors only lend a few capital to buy coins. In addition, many scammers are using the identity of their customers in order to scam again. We don't need kyc because we are free and anonymous in this industry.

in my opinion KYC doesn't help anything , it only puts you at risk of getting your identity stolen
there are million ways to send a fake ID and many people are doing so
I heard stories of rogue exchanges and ICO and bounty campaigns reselling their users data to any interested party
with the databases resurfasing on the darkwb from time where anyone could buy them
I do not fancy my real identity get leaked just because some exchange doesn't believe I'm not a terrorist
733  Economy / Speculation / Re: Downward Trend on: July 06, 2019, 05:22:15 PM
the answer is - we do not know
ABC correction , downward trend or just a calm before the storm - only the time will tell
a few days ago only an intervention of some buyers helped the price not to drop below 10.000 mark for long , it crossed it and was at 9890$ for a moment
now it is steady (sic) in the 10.500-11.500 area and seems that the volumes are not high enough to move it any way up or down substantially
I hope it stays here for the time being , much better than the 5.000$ mark , isn't it ?
in any case , long term holders do not care much about a 1-2-3k growth or fall in price
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to safely store big amounts of BTC? on: July 06, 2019, 03:32:07 PM
never understood the spreading of your coins between several wallets
store your coins safely in an offline wallet or a hardware wallet , dividing your coins between 2 or more wallets increases the risk of losing them , not adding to security
use a hardware wallet or a DYI hardware wallet aka old laptop with hdd hard formatted and a clean OS installed with ONLY a wallet installed  and nothing else and once the coins are in , disconnect it from the web and never use for anything other storing the coins
15 bitcoins is not an amount of money to lose sleep over it is only 165.000$ , unless you compromise your device yourself or simply lose the wallet or forget the private keys you won't risk losing your bitcoins
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many People Are Really Trading Cryptocurrency? on: July 06, 2019, 02:56:57 PM
way to take three pretty low volume and , to be fair , crappy exchanges and post figures that are guestimates
there is no way to account the real number of fake trades and it is only their estimates
but I am sure that at least 30% of the trading volume is fake , but figures >90% are ridiculous
for example: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/huobi-global/
in 24 hours the volume is around 37.000 bitcoins , this means 34.000 coins are fake trades and only 3.000 or less are bought/sold by legit traders
0.01% of 3000 bitcoins would be only 0.3 bitcoins in profit , which won't cover the operating costs of the exchange

Admin last online: Last Active:   July 11, 2017, 01:25:08 PM

Thats sick. Lets hope everyone got there funds out of the investments.

I'm pretty sure admin sold the site to freebitoin's owner some long time ago
judging by the amount of players and rolls, the site is semi abandoned
and I don't think it is wise to play there , not even talking about investing
there are many more dice sites around worth gambling at , just look around you will definitely see at least several signatures promoting them
p.s. my old login is working
The kingdice owner sold the site to freebitcoin owner was a longtime statement but there's nothing to back the claim or to proof it because there's no reason why freebitcoin owner will bought a site and abandon it while he can actually make big money through it

maybe because Wetsuit is busy either in real life or with his main project - freebitcoin?
sometimes you buy things and do not use them , right ,in this case maybe it is not reasonable to put lot of effort into it and rather improve freebitcoin
we can only speculate , the two facts are for sure : the site changed owners and it is semi- abandoned now
I cannot say I was playing there too often , just had a few sessions
the site was okeyish at the time but the competition moved on and are ahead in terms of features and popularity

738  Economy / Gambling / Re: BestBitcoinSlots.com | Free Games, Casino Reviews, & Slot Community News on: July 06, 2019, 12:20:27 PM
Can you explain why I seem to always win on free slots, but the moment I play the same slot for real money I never ever win? I find it hard to believe that it is "luck"

it is one of the gambler's fallacies , probably - we only notice the patterns we want to notice
if the games are fair , which they should be if the slots are licensed , you should be getting a set RTP  which is usually higher than 97%
in my times playing slots , some providers tend to pay out in "bursts" ,the slots could eat like there is no tomorrow but then pay massively ( Microgaming , for example )
while other providers have a smoother curve , it should not depend in wherever its free spins or real money play
739  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: July 05, 2019, 08:04:53 PM
you are talking about buying bitcoin for 605$ , I remember tipping out around 0.2 bitcoins several times
I'm a gambler and it used to be a normal practice to rain for players in chat after a win
I myself, got a 1 bitcoin tip once ( yes ONE whole bitcoin) when it was 100$ and 0.01-0.1 countless times
a minimum tip was 50.000 satoshi and they were flying left right and center
if I count all the tips I shared , I could have been really rich now
but there is no point  in day dreaming , it is what it is and maybe in a several years time we post screenshots with 10.000$ per coin buys
and comment - imagine that you could have bought bitcoin this cheap and easily  Cheesy
740  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency, KYC and Terrorism on: July 05, 2019, 07:08:41 PM
Some have speculated that terrorists have discovered a way to use the platform crypto currency to gather identities from different people from all over the world. use their identities for terrorist activities. From threads that i have seen, there are people thinking that some ICOs are used to fund terrorist acts by luring investors into investing into their companies, getting KYC in exchange of money, gather a large sum of it and then run away with big bags of bucks.
IMO, these scenarios have big possibilities since there is the anonymity factor feature of crypto currency, we really do not have the knowledge as to whom and where the money will go for when it was transacted in cyberspace.

what are your thoughts on this?
I am always hearing about  Cryptocurrency,   terrorism and money laundering
If terrorist then what terrorist some facts please .It is much more hard to hide transactions in blockchain than traditional banking
Any currency can be used for criminal activity whatever dollar euro or crypto
There are some dark web transactions with crypto use but if there is demand on products offered by dark web then always will be currency used

again and again we hear the BS about crypto and terrorism
or cryptocurrencies and money laundering , or stealing identities and blackmail demanding bitcoins as ransom etc.
all this is paling in comparison to the amount of the exactly same activities but done with fiat money
it is 1:1.000.000 times ratio since this is how much more fiat money and derivatives in the world than bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency , combined
but the media is focusing on bitcoin being used for shady purposes , intentionally
just compare:
dark web , drug dealing vs direct Afganistan US sponsored drug supply around the world on their military jets
"money laundering" using bitcoin vs trillion of dollars debt that is never going to be paid
funding terrorism through crypto vs arming and sending airdrops to the Syrian terrorists etc. etc.
this needs to be changed and cryptocurrencies could be a small step towards a better world , hopefully
