721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX VEGA 64 wont mine MONERO [XMR] [CAST XMR] on: December 28, 2017, 02:07:55 AM
Odd...how much did you overclock?

Paste OverdriveNtool.ini or your settings for memclock etc.

nothing extreme as I said 16 others works just fine !

Your memory OC is probably too high for this specific GPU.  Dial it back to 935 and see if it hashes without failure then work your way up slowly.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 27, 2017, 09:32:37 AM
I'm glad I decided to wait a week to see if Nicehash managed the Friday payouts properly. I was hoping to point a few old personal GPUs at Cryptonight and have a family member get back on Nicehash with their rigs but as it is I think I'll just wait and see what happens after Jan. 31'st...

yeah  I feel fucked by them.. For a second time around.

I went back as a show of support and I am stuck  quite a bit extra.

I now rolled every miner into this address. 30000 plus sols.

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJr

and should do the 0.10 threshold on  Dec. 31 - Jan. 1

 If I don't  get paid .

I am done with them.

Good luck man, hope you guys get paid in Jan.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hsrminer - Nvidia mining software for various algos by palgin&alexkap on: December 26, 2017, 11:13:42 PM
Tested with NeoScrypt, my results:

hsr miner reported speed: 1335kH/s
poolside reported speed:   1150kH/s

KlausT miner reported speed : 1350kH/s
poolside reported speed: 1300kH/s

GTX 1070 @2126/3347

What pool, what time period? Zero info.

It remembers me discussion when people wrote to Claymore:"Hey, when your miner is switching to devfee mining it gets more shares, you're bullshitting us!"

FYI: each share has it's value, pool sets this parameter mininum size according to your speeds in order to lower network load on server. When you start mining, you start from pools minimal set difficulty, then pool starts adjusting. If you start from 64, you get shares in seconds, stats go smoothly. Check in 40 mins - diff set in 1500+, you can get 1 share once in couple of minutes, but it's higher valued one. Pool calculates speed depending on timeline and value of shares received during that period. Period is configured by pool owner.

You're trying to tell I'm bullshitting speeds? Then give proofs, not bare words. This is hard work of mine and I'll fight for it.

And it's not ccminer, so settings from ccminer won't give you good results in all cases, everyone has different hardware and different conditions, one can afford PL 120%, one needs to shrink PL to 60% to lower bills or heat.

You took your time and configured ccminer, you don't want to take your time and select proper settings for hsrminer, so use ccminer and be happy  Grin  Grin

Besides that you behave like a 12 year old child and imply things i have never stated (Why so aggressive ?), i tested the new version again.

And thanks for the quick breakdown on shares. Didn't know that  Roll Eyes

Wait why are you pulling 251w on a 1070 lol
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How do you get Internet to your mining rigs? on: December 26, 2017, 04:03:20 AM
Both of my rigs are connected directly to my router but I was planning on moving them to another room.  Do you use a wifi usb stick, direct connection to modem or use an ethernet adapter that runs through your electrical wiring?

Easy to turn an old phone line or cable connect into an Ethernet jack, or use power line adapters if you don't have access to those in the room you are moving too.  I would avoid Wifi as mining with a lot of GPU's can cause electromagnetic interference with your wifi signal.

if we can get to 100 people we can do 80usd plus shipping (we do not mind if this is one person or multiple people)

PM he here as website is listed at $99

You can buy these from china for $80 on ebay though.
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can't mine any close to whattomine says on: December 25, 2017, 04:02:46 AM
I've been mining for about 3 months, I have 20 mining rigs, using Minerstat

the profit switching is amazing, with 20rigs, switching to some shitcoin instanly and selling it using bittrex auto sell features.

My issue is that on whattomine and on minerstat it says that I should be mining for about 500$ a day when i'm barely making 300$, this has been going on for a long time. I'm using all the popular pools.. selling fast, heavy mining power. Where should I look to fix this "leak" ?

I heard that PPLNS pool could be a problem, so I switched all my pool to PROP pools, i'm looking into Awesome Miner to test if I get the same issue.

Should I drop the profit switcher and only mine the same coins afor a weeks, PIRL + LBRY has been pretty profitable for a while now.

The problem with blindly mining "shit coins" is having to deal with shit pools.  If you just hop from shit coin to shit coin nonstop you never actually mine long enough on that shit pool to get any rewards.  I've never used minerstat. You should try joining mph or zpool.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pending Payments from Ahashpool on: December 24, 2017, 11:12:09 PM
I had a big payment go through on the 22nd without any issues.  I know they had a problem with exchange limits a few days ago and they had to bump up the minimum payout to .008btc.  I would just wait it out some more as the network is still congested.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Flashing P106 cards on: December 24, 2017, 07:55:50 PM
whats the point of flashing if you can't edit bios? flashing bios from different card will most likely brick your card ...

my p106 is not recognized by windows for some reason...

tried all drivers out there nothing, clocks show zeros on GPUz

If windows doesnt recognize it how do you see zero clocks?   Just use the drivers from the manufacturers website and it should work fine.

731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Flashing P106 cards on: December 24, 2017, 09:52:54 AM
Is it even possible to flash Nvidia GPU's?

Yes, but I'm not sure what the reason is for flashing in this particular case.

733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: December 23, 2017, 08:15:05 PM
you can save a lot of $$$ just mining with any ubuntu machine, without paying crazy monthly fees. and everything thats in hive you can setup by yourself (all docs are online). besides that you have to at least learn basics.

Not sure how $3 a month is "crazy monthly fees".  For the time saved it seems kind of worth, especially if you have no experience with linux.  Personally I don't use it but it looks feature rich and regularly updated.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3450 watt japanese/chinese mining power supplies? Are they any good. on: December 23, 2017, 06:05:41 AM
Fake, stay away!

These arent fake and you are protected by ebay/paypal which always sides with the buyer.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Cast XMR] high speed XMR/CryptoNight miner for RX Vega GPUs (2 KHash/s) on: December 22, 2017, 08:43:50 PM
Hey I’m having problems. I was running a single Vega 64 just fine, but after changing the motherboard and adding 3 rx 580 the miner stops working after 20 min and the pc freezes after that if I do anything (just clicking somewhere).

I removed the rx 580 but it does not fix the problem.

The card keeps running after the screen freezes and it’s still blowing how air, but I’m not getting any hashrate on the mining pool.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? I’m using the asrock pro 110 btc

Check your BIOS settings to make sure they are correct and set windows pagefile to 32GB+
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I think I'm doing something wrong! on: December 22, 2017, 12:52:19 AM
My apologies, I'm running:

ccminer 2.2 mining monero using cryptonight algorithm,
Current (NVidia) driver i'm using is 23.21.13.8813

Mine Equihash (Zec/Zen) its more profitable and optimized for Nvidia.  AMD hashing monero much more efficiently.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 22, 2017, 12:35:43 AM
Have you noticed how nVidia profitability has crept up to match the AMD cards of late (if you pick the right coins to mine that is)? A rig of 1080s can now basically equal or beat a rig of Vega 56s. Impressive. I suspect nVidia cards might slowly go up in price again as well...

Yes I have noticed this and it also combined with local pricing dropping from $508 for a 1070ti to $461. I have 8 of them at the post office right now - can't wait to plug them in!
nvOC loaded and ready to roll!
Its becase cryptonite prices peaked for a while now with nicehash back its going back up
vegas are a ripoff at $700 though

A lot of new people mining that see these mining calculators with 3-4month ROI's and expect the cards to pay themselves off quickly even at $700+.  They will ether get lucky or learn a lesson about trusting calculators and projected profits.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Electroneum(ETN) on eupool doesn't update balance on: December 21, 2017, 06:14:57 PM
Hello,

I just created offline paper wallet, synced with ETN network, imported all keys.. currently balance 0. This part seems OK.

Now I am using 2.2.3-tpruvot ccminer with settings:

Code:
ccminer-x64.exe -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://eupool.electroneum.com:5555 -u ETN_ADDRESS -p xyz
pause

When looking for stats after 3 hours on https://eupool.electroneum.com/:
- wallet exists
- hashrate is correct
- balance is not changing(still 0)

Should I wait more than few hours or did I do something wrong? At least in 3 hours with 7GPUs I should get reward of some ETNs..

Regards,
Aljaz

739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 21, 2017, 05:13:57 PM

and I went back to nicehash on 2 of 3 accounts

As I never found a monero pool with both a REASONABLE payout level when mining to an exchange, AND good reliability, all my CPU miners are pointed at Nicehash - and working again.

I left ONE of my A2 scrypt miners (the 88 Mhash model) with Nicehash as the default pool.

I have one older machine with 960/950 cards that runs their software by default

We'll see how it works out.

https://xmr.nanopool.org/  you can set payouts to .3 xmr and use bittrex address.  They used to have .5 xmr payouts which was a big turnoff for most people.
You can also use Their ETN pool with 100 ETN payouts to Cryptopia address.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 21, 2017, 01:31:39 AM
Wow so looks like nicehash will be paying people back, and going not for profit till it’s done.
Pretty surprised if it’s true

I'd be surprised if the people financing them this time around get paid back.
