next to bitcoin stand all the weedcoins! ...no other coins matter... all other coins are dumb...there is only bitcoin...and weedcoins!   WRITE IT DOWN!

A pump on every single weed coin tomorrow would be EPIC!

CANN, MARYJ, CCN and THC are all on the first page of bittrex. STV sativa coin is also starting to move up on bittrex. STV now has 1.5 BTC volume!

This is crazy good.

A lot of rich stoners this week!

I honestly dont understand why ppl buy all this other Weed Coins. Cann ist the only One with a solid plan and has this event on Monday. Why then investing in an other one? Do they hope this coins all go up like CANN and they can go in early cause they missed on CANN? But even that makes no sense because CANN is still cheap as hell

CCN is a good one as well. They have a good product (their coding talent) and are active in the community.

ok how can I mine this from the wallet? or can't I

I thought you can just do the "setgenerate true" command and it would mine.

Can I get some guidance please?  Smiley

Wallet mining is impractical unless you have a huge personal farm. If you have a good video card you can use that and join a pool.

Which miner do you think is best for an nVidia GTX 680 card? I tried Cuda, but it only works for LTC not CANN for me I'm not sure why.

I think cudaminer only mines scrypt. Unless there's an X11 version of cudaminer?

Look for CCminer, its the X11 & X13 version of Cudaminer

Cool I just got it, but json_rpc_call_failed every 30 sec

Which pool are you using? It sounds like it's still trying to ping a wallet or local ip.

Just got it mining @ http://suchpool.pw/ it's giving me 2300-2600 Khash and 500 from CPU. How much do you think a 4GB GTX 680 should be mining? Maybe I can refine the settings better for my card?

Every card is different, there are guides that can show you what you should be getting. And actually you're mining pretty good with that. You could try adjusting the intensity a little and tweaking it. Depending on the config. I'm not familiar with cuda and I don't know if intensity is used for the nvidia cards. But in either case google is your friend. You're well on your way to optimizing your "rig" Cheesy

A friend of mine has a super computer and wants to mine CANN. I never mined coins (other then cloud mining) so I need some help.

I know how to join a pool but what software do i use and what pool do you recommend?

Thanks for the help  Grin

I use linux, but there are options for windows mining. sgminer mines x11 and does a pretty good job. I think there's a windows version of it floating around.

Anyone having problem with cryptsy right now? I was buying CANN and it freezes, looks like it is down or something...

Yep. Surely I'm about to lose some potential Bitcoinage.

BigVern @cryptsy1h
Seems to be a server that decided to shut down at our data center we hope to have it resolved shortly.

lol I sold 250,000 Cannabiscoin at 1500 satoshi and just looked at the price today.
I was going to jump off of a building and go out like a  real trader but I think I'm just going to buy back in at a loss and suck it up.

There I hope you enjoyed my tale of loss and despair.

Enjoyed? no, but I will say I could have bought more than 30 dollars worth of CANN at 320 sat. I feel a little undervalued right now. Sad

Hang in there brother.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SLR] SolarCoin | PoW to PoS v. 2.0 | Solar Proof of Generation (§1 = 1MWh) on: October 16, 2014, 11:37:39 PM
Hi all,
i am in since mid september. I really believe this coin in THE coin. Like most of you, i won't sell not before a for a long time, cold storage is done. I missed the solarcoin launch because i was done by other crypto and i let it down for 6 months. Never too late.

I believe our quatloo trader has been stucked in his job today  Grin ...

some thoughts /question/ideas on this coin :
- there is a strong foundation, with an original idea , backed by something tangible
- people at the origin of the coin seem serious and known (good point compared to all other scam coins)
- we need some leaders to animate the community , find ideas, and create some communication on the web, who are they ?
- we need structure in this animation, build it as a project like it's described on the solarcoin web, is there any roadmad? where are we ?
- i understand this coin is not like others , but look around, may be there should be more incentives deals to grow the community?
- some nice ideas are already on this board like making a booklet to present the coin to solar companies or people involved in solar industry (several language needed) - english is not my mother tongue. I really believe this is the first need of this coin.
- When POS will arrive, i think volume will be lower than today with a risk to be get out from bittrex at the end. What is done for this cannot happen and make us bagholder ?
- What i read from a french solar board is not friendly regarding solarcoin, i don't know if you already read this kind of argumentation :
http://xn--forum-3fa3esxg43u.forum-photovoltaique.fr/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=30397
in 2 words, that says solar energy doesn't fit with crypto speculation world , in other words, this is 2 opposites worlds  : i really think there is miss on this and how to educate people who doesn't know about this coin ."Solar oriented community" seem reluctant to listen what this coin can bring to them.
- I work in a large company which produces its own solar electricity, they have a green department, and for what i know they try to lower the CO2 emission. I may contact the department later ,too soon for me. How do they compare to other companies and measure themselves ? simple, it's all here : https://www.cdp.net
You can have all the data including companies which product their own solar energy. Just think about contacting the right people in all these companies ...
More ...if you look deeply in the site, you can see this site work with organizations ..why not contacting them and show them what can solarcoin can bring to CDP ?
More again .. they work with a partner http://www.ecohz.com/ , which guarantees the origin of the production ...what ? is that what solarcoin try to do Huh? http://www.ecohz.com/products/products/guarantees-of-origin/ do we try to reinvent the wheel ?

it's all for today.
Fred.

You bring up some good ideas. I will address the guarantee of origin. They are sold under many different names across the world but perform the same function. Solarcoin is designed to work in conjunction with those certificates. Solarcoin is only designed as a feed in tariff and not a guarantee certificate. Those certs can and will be used and Solarcoin will be there right beside them offering an extra incentive. Smiley

hmm... 167 pages and not a single "LEGALIZE IT".  (Rest in pEACe Mr. Tosh.)  http://youtu.be/ABc8ciT5QLs

To all those who can't see the green through their (big pharma wannabe) greed, cultivating marijuana will become legal and be re-introduced into the wild someday. wink wink Wink

Your first problem is you're a vegan. Eat a steak and think clearly.

Wink

You're high on the animal's flesh/blood you inhaled and consumed.

If you wish to fully enjoy marijuana and live a long and healthy life, you should consider ending your addiction to blood.

I know you and that other dude have the munchies, but go eat instead of wasting space on this forum.

Well isn't that relevant? Cheesy Weed man, break out the french fries.

Matter of opinion. I need carnitine so vegan diets just don't do it for me. I will say however my diet isn't heavy on meats, I eat a larger proportion of fruits and veggies than animal protein, but I still need some. I don't fully accept people can live without animal proteins for an extended period of time. Our biology isn't that of a herbivore.

People continue to make the market-cap argument relentlessly in this thread, but I believe that it is flawed & this coin truly can have a valuation of 1 billion dollars. Regardless of whether every coin-holder will be able to buy weed with cannabiscoins in the next year, or even if 20% of coin-holders can do that. Marijuana is something that resonates with a lot of people. There are whole cultures and social circles, documentaries, prisoners, books, medicines, scientific research etc. It is in some way involved in the lives of tens of millions of people, and as the dev emphasizes, incredibly important for the many people who use it as a medicine. Now here we are, in the year 2014, at a time where cryptocurrency has been born and legitimized, medical marijuana is sweeping the nation, and recreational marijuana is being legalized and decriminalized. We have a dev who is actually good at acting on his plans, this guy is an achiever. He's networking well, growing medical-grade cannabis in large quantities, and created a cryptocurrency that is currently valued at $3.3 million dollars. Yet this man continues to say that it is all about the patients for them & he is happy to share medicine with them and improve their lives. It is a perfect convergence of events. What I'm saying is, the actual dispensary-market for this coin will initially be relatively small, yes, but we don't need the dev to be shipping 100 tons of pot by the trainload to give this coin a $1B valuation.

this.

This is how real companies are evaluated also. On future earnings.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official][420] Developments & Discussions. on: October 14, 2014, 06:44:23 PM
Potential investor here.

Let's say I own a dispensary in Colorado.  I have as much business as I can handle because, well, legal weed.

Why should I accept CannabisCoin?

I like the idea behind CannabisCoin and the peg, I just need to understand why more than just this one dispensary associated with the dev will want to adopt it.  Why should I accept a coin and sell my weed at a loss in hopes the coin will accrue in value so I can break even.  Why not just use Bitcoin?  Or Darkcoin since it has anonymity.

Thank you.

First of all, by accepting the CANN Peg, you are being part of the CANN Movement. And the goal is to allow patients access to affordable medication.
As an angel investor, I hear pitches all the time from people where the main crux of their argument is that this will make a positive difference in the world. While that's nice, I already donate to charities and am not interested in another one.  I want to know where the value is and, "It's the right thing to do" is not valuable unfortunately.

Secondly, since CannabisCoin is pegged at 1:1, meaning 1 CANN per Gram of Cannabis, CannabisCoin will be a MORE STABLE cryptocurrency than Bitcoin or Darkcoin.
For example, Bitcoin is already accepted by a dispensary in Washington (http://www.coindesk.com/washington-dispensary-now-takes-bitcoin-cannabis/)
Now imagine how volatile Bitcoin can be and as a business owner, if you do not instant-exchange your Bitcoin for Fiat, you might take a big loss the next day.
I would agree IF a LOT of dispensaries were accepting CannabisCoin.  I want to know WHY dispensaries should accept CannabisCoin.  Because if they don't, then the peg won't matter in the medium to long run.

Lastly, the question now in your head is, then how long do I have to wait for CannabisCoin price to reach parity and while waiting, what do I stand to gain? Simple.
You end up with MORE NEW Customers. Customers that got to know you because of the CANN Peg may end up being a long-term customer. (Think the Groupon effect here, small loss on a single product/service in exchange for new customers)
And once the news spread that there are dispensaries that have adopted the CANN Peg, it won't take long for the price of 1 CannabisCoin to reach parity to the average price of 1 Gram of Cannabis.
Most dispensaries already have plenty of customers.  There's no reason for them to accept a coin that will result in them getting more customers which would cause them to lose money on every transaction.

CannaisCoin has to hit the tipping point with dispensaries.  I want to know how and why that is going to happen and I haven't heard the answer yet.  I do hope there is an answer though as I'd love to get on board.

Oh and 1 more thing, why should dispensaries get involved with crypto in the 1st place?
Well, blame the banks for being so hostile to dispensaries. The banks do not want to deal with dispensaries and many are unbanked even up to today!

So what's the risk to the cannabis industry by being unbanked which some may ask?
Well, it’s a massive public safety risk where having a lot of cash on site makes cannabis businesses savory targets to and for criminals.
It also creates ample difficulties for doing business on a day-to-day basis where you cannot offer customers debit or credit card services and where paying your taxes and payroll is very, very challenging.

Read more here:
http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2014/08/31/pot-marijuana-industry/13628491/
Agreed.  But why should I use Cannabiscoin at a loss over Bitcoin with its sider adoption or Darkcoin and its anonymity?

Assuming cann is already at pegged value and stable, what would your objections be?

The question many of you aren't asking is, what happens if venture capital starts pouring into cannabis coin? These guys will pay 8 dollars a coin to resell at 9 a coin all day long with their whale buying power. People still get a discount, the markets become liquid, delta nine and the crew open more grow facilities, help more people and so on.

Think about that for a minute.

There isn't enough buy support for a big holder to dump more than a few BTC. Do you not see that? It makes no sense at all, are you a noob? 3.5 BTC of buy support would hardly do anything towards a 20 BTC investment.

Go learn what trading is really about will you please.

Okay.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official][420] Developments & Discussions. on: October 14, 2014, 03:03:28 AM
See i think its a numbers game here, it seems like a lot of pot, but there is alot of other things you will most likely be able to get, like utensils and apparati and what not, but realisitclly even all inweed i think its fully possible, the US DEA siezed 354,023 kilograms and that is only supposed to be like 10-20 percent of the total market i think, 90 percent of all drugs seized is the sticky green, and now preety much the whole worlds attitude is changing towards it, i dont know much about crypto, but i know weed is and will always be plenty popular, if this coin can position itself well enough then it will enjoy the boom aswell

CANN will be used for merchandise too, not just pot Smiley
And I think this is AMAZING.

Good, I need a few new shirts. Cheesy
