There would also be a need to generate the wallets / keys to place under the holos. They could all be self funded if needs be.

The more I think on this, the more I like it. If / when bitcoin value increases again, I love the thought of the book doing the same
722  Economy / Collectibles / Re: PAPERBACK - Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoin and Crypto-Currencies - [42/100] on: February 04, 2016, 02:33:14 PM
How about something like the NFC sticker? used by Papersafe wallets??
It could be covered by the hologram....
I would donate for this extra feature Wink

+1
I would donate some BTC to any of the following to help cover the costs of supplying holograms for this project: BG4, gravitate, Technomage, SHIBANU, or Blazed/silver wallets. Maybe one of them would offer a special price on their holograms to help out this project and some shameless self-promotion. Wink

How many are needed? I would be willing to donate some for sure.

Unsure a maker of assembled coins would want their holo stickers out in the wild. Blazed / Silver Wallets is a good shout, as the silver wallets are issued DIY, and the stickers are available as separates already.

Numbered holograms, to match the X / 100 number ... ?

How expensive would that be (and how long would it take)
724  Economy / Collectibles / Re: PAPERBACK - Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoin and Crypto-Currencies - [42/100] on: February 04, 2016, 01:57:34 PM
I too would pay for this to happen.

I also like the idea to fund. Just a nominal amount, even a single satoshi, the amount isnt important. But it time and date stamps the release of the book, and the date of issue. A description could be placed on the Blockchain ... "The Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoin and Crypto-Currencies copy X/100"

This is too perfect not to be done. A book about physical wallets, being a physical wallet itself - GENIUS
725  Economy / Collectibles / Re: PAPERBACK - Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoin and Crypto-Currencies - [42/100] on: February 04, 2016, 12:50:13 PM
Like that idea !
726  Economy / Collectibles / Re: PAPERBACK - Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoin and Crypto-Currencies - [39/100] on: February 03, 2016, 08:36:59 PM
Does it state anywhere on the cover, or inside page that this is the first edition ..... ?

Are those milkspots on the coin or the case? Large one near the center and smaller one between the BTC and "BITCOIN"

I will do some images myself tomorrow (thinking high res using my scanner). Need to sleep tonight, now though.

One near centre, within the B, and smaller one directly above the O of bitcoin are on the coin . Pics also didnt have the cleanest slab, so I will clean before doing my own
736  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Graded CASASCIUS silver - 0.1 MS68 and MS69, 0.5 MS66, 1.0 MS69 - reduced on: January 29, 2016, 11:49:01 PM
Heads up, I will be closing this thread down, and listing a new thread early next week, with a lot more coins in. Still mainly Casascius, but a few others also. Wider variety of coin types and wider variety of grades. (including 5BTC series 2, graded 67)

Fully funded, unredeemed.

This is a lovely coin. Physically, it looks a good strike, nice mirror finish, well centred hologram, and well centred public address.
In my opinion only recieving the 68 due to the 'milk spotting' that can be seen in the image on the none hologram side (in the middle of the B at the top, and a little in the bottom matt finish left sector). Please look at the high res pictures and judge for yourself. (If further pictures are required, please let me know)

Good luck. Happy Bidding
739  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Taking Offers] 2011 Casascius Error Coin - Raw on: January 29, 2016, 03:42:37 PM
I think I will just send this into ANACS and post if for sale once it gets graded. My guess is MS-67...anyone else care to guess what it gets?

MS65

Wager .02 with the winner getting the pot?  It would certainly be entertaining...

betmoose.com

they take BTC and you can bet on anything.
Has the physical coin market slowed so much that we are reduced to betting on Blazed's coin grades? Cheesy

Should give us more Silver coins to bet on too Tongue

I have more coins...who wants to start betting?  Cool

I DO!! Cheesy

C'mon people...let's make some fun bids using bitcoin!!!
