that'll make it 0.15btc for 1 of them, yes?
what would be the cost of them shipped to Australia? Post code 2703?
if postage is cheap enough, i may order up 2 of them
722  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Btc-e.com blocking my IP? on: November 22, 2013, 06:56:06 AM
looks like im clear, are you DobZombie?

i'll pass it onto support that "DobZombie from bitcointalk.org is having the same issue"

if you are still having issues, they may look into the same fix for your issue
723  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Btc-e.com blocking my IP? on: November 17, 2013, 04:36:17 PM
All of those sites listed are working again... except btc-e.com of course

I've been talking to cloudflare are they asked for a screenshot of the time out page.  strange.

btc-e asked the same thing, but i thought it'll be useless, so i gave them a firefox debug of the site trying to load, probably useless to them
724  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Btc-e.com blocking my IP? on: November 15, 2013, 01:42:01 PM
I was right.  I cant access ANY cloudflare site.

I had to sign up to them just so I could contact them and find out whats going on.

I currently can't access...
- btc-e.com
- butterflylabs.com
- weexchange.co
- cloudflare.com

this is bullshit, why are they blanket banning 122.149.x.x ?!? Thats 65,000 IP addresses!!

iirc, im in that IP range, makes sense to me.. once i get home, i'll check all the other known cloudflare sites to confirm, mention this to btc-e support, they may be able to do something with their host.

Well, im not as lucky as you with this, i can get to all other sites mentioned there, but btc-e
and yep, my IP is in the 122.149.*.* range..

I will send this info off to support at BTCE, they might be able to do something..

727  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Btc-e.com blocking my IP? on: November 08, 2013, 12:27:38 PM
Just to let you know, I'm also having the exact same issue, so I'm following this discussion.

I have also sent them a ticket with this issue too
728  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Recovery Services - for forgotten wallet password on: November 01, 2013, 01:15:04 AM
i was so going to jump on your service, till you mentioned that you cant get 15+ lettered passwords, its a shame, i blame hardware for that one, not you

it is a blockchain.info wallet.aes.json, i have no re-callable memory of what it was, i probably used lastpass password generator (nothing in its history though :/)

the one thing i never got out of this, was your cost of service, or is it what ever it is worth to the person?

i'll continue scouting all my HDDs for any random file with the password or mnemonic stored in it (im so good like that, texting up my password, leaving them laying around.. like keys to my cars left laying around in the pub)

Anywho, scam yodellers still have no proof that you are scamming, and you haven't been shut down and out yet, so you're out there doing good then

730  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER: CoinJar.io / Zhou Tong - Deletes My Coinjar Account & Balance on: September 13, 2013, 01:14:59 AM
I've use coinjar.io, they have my stamp of approval.

Now if someone was using the coinjar.io incoming address for mining purpose, they are doing it wrong.

use your own wallet for this, not an exchanges address.

you know what, i bet he was an early adopter of btc, until he got scammed of all his coins, then he just rage quit

At one point he does rant, quite bitterly, about people getting scammed for all of their bitcoins.

Well that says it all, he doesn’t want to look like a dummy to all his little minion followers by telling them he got scammed, only telling them that bitcoin is a scam... come to think of it, you can call the gold/silver trades and art trade bubbles scams too.. it all works the same way

737  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of Avalon Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: July 25, 2013, 03:35:40 PM
Barntech, sorry if I'm being to hard on you,

I did get here because you mentioned that you are based in Sydney, im just a bit out in the sticks.

Anywho, get a escrow up and i could fish out 4btc in the next few weeks for basically 40 of them chips, that'll cover 2 of your miners and 11 chips spare (excluding the cost of the miners)

also.. pretty card is pretty, will it fit inside a 5.25" drive bay?, or even better, 3.5" bay? (oh i can just see my mining rigs now Cheesy )
738  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of Avalon Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: July 25, 2013, 03:33:43 AM
I'm interested in 16 of these but I'm not so sure how long is gonna take to get the 9.5k chips sold. I'll be watching.

Welcome to cache 22/chicken'n'egg scenario. Im waiting for more information over buying in. Heck, even if I get only the chips to throw at someone else (or experiment with myself) job done...

But lets see, Barntech, Care to use Escrow? if you get John .k into this I’d be happy to throw everything at you now

...
At this point, the plan is to not use John K for escrow, and rather be our own escrow (though i am open to the idea of a third party escrow if that will help the project move forwards quicker). Our aim is to establish an ongoing business servicing miners to the community, and for this reason we would like to establish a relationship of trust with all involved. We are not here to scam anyone. If we ran away with your BTC, we would have no hope of seeing this project through. This is not about talking people out of their bitcoin, this is about getting a bunch of miners going for everyone involved.
...

Well, since there is a lot of scammers and con artists out there and its all about trust, to get people to trust you, you have to show that you are willing to use services like known escrows. keeping everything open and transparent so we can see everything you do will add points to you trust.. But, since you are neutral, and you don't want to use john .k, find a 3rd party escrow, there are plenty here.

Really I'm going to poke probe and prod everything out of you to gain my trust, i have already been a victim of a scam, to my own stupidity, now I'm to guarded to even drop down any coinage unless i know its clear.

If you use john .k, and push his fees to the buyers, the price will rise to ~0.091/chip (his 2% fee) which I'm OK with.

Now if you have the same issue as "i sent out XX units worth ZZ amount and the buyer said they only got X amount so escrow only gave me Z amount", simple fix, Show the escrow that you are not in fault, give evidence that you packed and sent the requested amount, it will show that it is ether tampered with via shipping, or the buyer is lying. if you cant trust a trusted person (known escrows), then how can the buyers trust you?

TL;DR: no escrow, people will see a possible scammer.
