By the way, the answer to this question is NO! If you think asking someone is going to yield a usable answer then you should not be "investing" at all.
7302  Economy / Goods / Re: Motorcycle of your choice - 3 BTC on: March 21, 2013, 01:59:04 PM
As many of you know, the CIA has hired drug cartels to execute me.
...
I knew this would be awesome when I read the first line!
7303  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bubble crash @ 100$ Summer of 2013? on: March 21, 2013, 01:56:41 PM

Anyways these are numbers pulled out of my ass
As are all the numbers on this board.
7304  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Hacking Bitcoin on: March 21, 2013, 02:17:24 AM
Suggestion: instead of talking endlessly about possible attacks, try them out on the -testnet test network.

That is what it is for.

Oh:  except Sybil attacks, which just aren't very interesting on a network like testnet that has only a couple dozen peers on it.

I am confident that any attack I could launch would fail. I think that because the stakes are as high as the value of a bitcoin.  Yet thieves and vandals have failed to successfully attack the bitcoin network thus far. But yeah, point taken.
7305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 65$ - should I buy now? on: March 21, 2013, 01:10:16 AM
It may fall back to ~50$ but it also can rise to 70$ or above.
...
Well that kinda sums it up, and nobody here is in a better position to guess. What do you think?

It makes sense that he is Satoshi! After all, he invented the internet.  Cool

7308  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UN Gun control.... GO! on: March 20, 2013, 08:07:28 PM
I have seen those guys in combat and they run from gunfire.

I need to see a video of you actually watching them running from gun fire..... or it didn't happen LOL
haha. I don't have video of it. But tonight I will check to see if can find some of me running away. I did a lot of running away in the Balkans and elsewhere. But in all seriousness, the troops I met there were not eager to fight. Now the Guatemalans, they were batshit-crazy to mix it up. Real warriors (unlike me) run toward the sound of gunfire.

EDIT:
I am being to tough on the UN. They do what they can, but they are normally stationed in a disaster.
Anyway this is the closest I could find. And it's not really related. lol

7309  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just bought in at $64.05 on: March 20, 2013, 08:01:01 PM
Things will fall and settle at around $35 imo in the next 6 months.
I'm so proud that you added "IMO". So few people think of their statements about the future as opinion. And it makes your prediction into a fact!

I also think this should be openly talked about. If bitcoin needed to keep a secret that would hurt, it then it would be doomed to fail.
7312  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UN Gun control.... GO! on: March 20, 2013, 07:32:53 PM
The UN is not going to take our guns.  Roll Eyes

Our own government cant even do that. The UN? I have seen those guys in combat and they run from gunfire. Can you imagine how they would wet their pants facing a rural American militia? Pfft, we would take their guns.
7313  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Cyprus a test? on: March 20, 2013, 07:27:58 PM
The "test" is not yet over. Angry nazi-chancellor-bitch continues pressuring and threatening this small but brave country.
All banks in Cyprus are now closed and outward money transfers are frozen until next Tuesday.

Are you kidding me? Germany is trying to SAVE Cyprus from going bankrupt, and the people of Cyprus, like Greece, is just expecting a hand out from Germany without any pain. This is the problem with Euro, it can't be easily inflated like the USD.
There is a lot of truth here. Sure Cypriots are having their money taken by the banksters, but Germany, having a stable economy, is looked to as a cash cow. My German friends are tired of Europeans demanding Euros to prop up their unsustainable economies. Like it or not, the binge is over. The bills are now due and the world must pay up. Those were not free lunches you have been eating for the last 40 years.
7314  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will the bubble burst? on: March 20, 2013, 07:15:22 PM
Why should we care? Oh, wait. You're playing games with switching back and forth between currencies? Good luck with that.
If you just use it as a currency, as intended, this is a non issue. If you fancy yourself a speculator then prepare to periodically loose your shirt.

But to seriously answer your question, if it is a bubble then it will pop. That is what all bubbles do.

If Bitcoin is "expired" then how can "Europeans scared of losing their cash be turning to Bitcoins instead?"

I love this guy. Especially his uber-stoned looking face.

Thanks for the interesting perspective Hal.
7317  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: First Insurance Company to Accept Bitcoin on: March 20, 2013, 03:24:18 PM
Your company has an edge on trust already. I see you have an A+ rating from the BBB and some award from a professional organization. If I can buy via your website then I trust you already, as I assume you would not destroy your business to get a few bitcoins.

7318  Economy / Speculation / Re: May want to move your funds from MtGox this week on: March 20, 2013, 02:36:42 PM
Get a public key/private key...tattoo it to your penis.

Walk into MtGox HQ, whip it out and thrust forward while announcing, "IM ALL IN!!!"
I wish I could fit a whole private key.  Embarrassed
7319  Economy / Speculation / Re: I just went for a pee and my assets grew by $xxx on: March 20, 2013, 02:34:27 PM
I just peed and the price went down $0.02, and I got some on my shoe!  Angry
