All humans deserve to be treated humanely regardless of gender.

I read a study recently, where 80% of local women think it's alright for husbands to beat their wives. This was from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The thing is; society is the problem in these areas. When society tells you something is this way because it's been this way; it takes a rebellious mind to challenge the status quo.

North Korea has the same issue;

“It happens so often nobody thinks it is a big deal,” she said. “We don’t even realise when we are upset. But we are human, and we feel it. So sometimes, out of nowhere, you cry at night and don’t know why.”

So ingrained into society that they cry without knowing why. That's pretty awful.

I think the feminism movement has merit; explicitly that movement outside the United States.

Now as an egalitarian, I don't believe that any person should be granted special privileges over another person.

Someone needs to dump a few youtube videos where Trump's being a racist...

I know there's a couple sound bytes out there that paints him in a pretty negative light; in which even the slick con man can't crawl his way out.
743  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We stand with the second Amendment no matter what... on: November 05, 2018, 09:06:05 PM
This is something that people have always been able to do and enforce. Government is for regulating public stuff. Government is supposed to keep hands off private stuff, except when it clearly endangers public stuff. It's in the right to contract clause in the Constitution, and in amendments and court decisions that interpret and uphold the right to contract. And it is exercised via real and simple common law. But it is somewhat hidden, and government people like to keep it that way for their own enrichment.

When you say shit like that, it becomes blatantly obvious you've actually never read the constitution.

Like, "GUYS! IF YOU ACTUALLY READ BIBLE, IT SAYS THAT GOD SAYS TO RAPE, MURDER AND STEAL BECAUSE JESUS FORGIVES ALL SIN!!!"

The amount of retardation is strong with you.

--

Any-who; I don't think anyone's suggesting infringement of the 2nd amendment rights; limiting the "freedoms" of weapons was done pretty early on when individual private citizens weren't allowed artillery and cannons Sad
744  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2018 USA Mid Terms! Red or Blue Waves?!? on: November 04, 2018, 11:35:29 PM
Poor lying Ted, he lost to Trump and Trump damaged him. Even though Cruz has been cupping Trumps balls pretty hard for the MT's he's in fight that should have been a walk in the park.

Beto is a rock star in Texas right now LOL he's the kind of populous candidate that just might be able to hand Cruz his ass!

Beto's rallies are reportedly huge I think this is maybe the most interesting Senate race this year.

You know, I might have more respect for your opinions on US politics if you had the slightest fucking clue what you were talking about. Beto is a clear loser, not even a debate over it.

Will you renounce your statement when Beto crushes Cruz in the election, or is this your same 'left wing false flag op' belief as before? Will you actually accept reality once the event is past? Or will you just yell 'cheater!!!'?
745  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We stand with the second Amendment no matter what... on: November 04, 2018, 10:03:23 PM
Yall got your regulations, right?

Actually, I was considering trying to form a regional militia with proper OPSEC and preparation in case of invasion or government tyranny. It makes a lot of sense in the political world today to have well armed and trained citizens.

MOAR Military weapons in civilians hands is clearly the answer to everything!

It's my right as a citizen to build my own nuclear arsenal, framers told me so...  Roll Eyes

Survival skills are actually helpful for any natural disaster, being prepped and prepared before disaster is a lot easier than scavenging afterwards.

Why you boys calling Trump a racist?...because he is a racist!
Poor Trump, the greatest POTUS ever! (inv) Roll Eyes

I didn't know Trump was self-hating; hating the mentally challenged and such.  Cheesy
748  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Mass (kilogram) vs. other base units - see why "kg" just doesn't make any sense! on: November 03, 2018, 11:37:43 PM
what's 1 litter of water weigh? 1 kg  Roll Eyes

Oh look at that, easy to convert volume to mass measurement.

What's a gallon weigh in lbs? who the fuck knows.

There's a reason why we have both C and K, but they're both the same "scale".
749  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Right wing trying to smear Mueller with fake news on: November 03, 2018, 05:02:30 PM
I thought it might be obvious.

Trump won and Clinton didn't.  Trump is in power and Hillary is a washed up twat.

Wait for the Mueller report homey!

I don't believe there's proof for Clinton conspiring with Russia. However, there is reason to believe;  Jill Stein was approached by the Kremlin.

I'm curious if this false flag operation is tied to the current administration. Doesn't seem to out of character with the lying, thieving conman.
750  Other / Meta / Re: Adding a master account field to profiles. on: November 03, 2018, 01:16:28 AM
I never really understood the purpose of an alt-account.

I think it's kinda a dumb field to add, but one of the features of the new forum software feature requests is easy to add profile fields.
There are a few reasons that are not "spam-the-forum-for-bounties-and-signature-moneys", like Loyce and theymos who have an alt account that is used to login in insecure or shady computers (thus, not risking their account).

Seems like key signatures are better for different identities then.

admins shouldn't operate as admins tho, always standard users unless performing admin tasks.

753  Other / Serious discussion / Space Development and Space Science Together, an Historic Opportunity on: November 02, 2018, 08:06:44 PM
Quote
The national space programs have an historic opportunity to help solve the global-scale economic and environmental problems of Earth while becoming more effective at science through the use of space resources. Space programs will be more cost-effective when they work to establish a supply chain in space, mining and manufacturing then replicating the assets of the supply chain so it grows to larger capacity. This has become achievable because of advances in robotics and artificial intelligence. It is roughly estimated that developing a lunar outpost that relies upon and also develops the supply chain will cost about 1/3 or less of the existing annual budgets of the national space programs. It will require a sustained commitment of several decades to complete, during which time science and exploration become increasingly effective. At the end, this space industry will capable of addressing global-scale challenges including limited resources, clean energy, economic development, and preservation of the environment. Other potential solutions, including nuclear fusion and terrestrial renewable energy sources, do not address the root problem of our limited globe and there are real questions whether they will be inadequate or too late. While industry in space likewise cannot provide perfect assurance, it is uniquely able to solve the root problem, and it gives us an important chance that we should grasp. What makes this such an historic opportunity is that the space-based solution is obtainable as a side-benefit of doing space science and exploration within their existing budgets. Thinking pragmatically, it may take some time for policymakers to agree that setting up a complete supply chain is an achievable goal, so this paper describes a strategy of incremental progress.

https://arxiv.org/abs/1609.00737

This paper resonated with me. If we can setup a complete supply chain in space, we could ship back finished goods rather than raw material.

However, it's crazy to think that the payload of one shuttle of a precious metal, such as gold, is equivalent to over 50 years of surface mining. It's crazy how many precious metals are on asteroid impact sites on the moon.

I think we're ready to start the true space race and finally hit post-scarcity.

755  Other / Politics & Society / Re: In search of Fascism on: November 01, 2018, 09:35:29 PM
Curious compass.
What are the X axis based on?
Usually they are the economic freedom, but that one sounds a bit of.

x is economic control; left is state control, right is individual control.

State control makes a lot of sense in the modern age, as we should be able to automate most means of production, so it makes sense that all people own part of the automation infrastructure. Not to mention, because state control, place's like China have been able to make actual headway against climate change.

The y axis is individual / personal freedom.

756  Other / Politics & Society / Re: In search of Fascism on: November 01, 2018, 09:27:02 PM
So, normally, you get fascism with authoritarianism.

It looks like national communism and totalitarianism are about the same with fascism in terms of authoritarian.

National socialism is as bad as traditionalism are nearly as bad as fascism, but some how slightly better? I'm pretty sure Russia is a semi-implementation of national socialism.

Socialism and ultra-capitalism are again; I can't think of any implementations of ultra-capitalism? Maybe Saudi Arabia or somewhere where rights are limited and money buys everything. Socialism has a few states, like Cuba, I think.

--

In reality, it just depends on how free you think individuals should be and how resources are planned and distributed. Chaotic distribution under capitalism made sense because humans were the best calculators a hundred years ago. Now-a-days, computers are pretty clever. However, with state control comes great powers for abuse, which is why there needs to accountability and lots of liberties.

I personally favor anarcho-syndicalism in the future (assuming post-scarcity).
757  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Another of my hdd mining topics on: November 01, 2018, 07:15:00 PM
You mean use HDD to mine Proof-of-Capacity such as burst coin? If so, then the answer is no. Mining calculator such as https://blocks.fastpool.info/calculator & http://burstcoincalculator.com/ show that you only get about $1-$2/month, without calculating electricity cost.

I don't know much about decentralized cloud storage, but https://storj.io/ homepage mention you will get $0.015/GB/month which mean you could earn up to $120/month.

storj.io requires bandwidth with proof of capacity doesn't.

Ideally, someone would create a public "proof-of-retrieval" system rather than just simply proof-of-capacity.

If someone were able to build proof-of-retrieval, ideally with proof-of-compute (assuming you had a fancy enigma of sorts), you could do distributed applications effectively.

Electricity costs are hdds are tiny. An hdd running takes around 5 watts of energy. That totals up to 3600 watt-hour per month. My rate is $0.10 per kilowatt-hour, so $0.36 in electricity cost per month off $1-2 profit still.
758  Other / Serious discussion / Re: This OBE (Out of Body Experience) is Interesting on: November 01, 2018, 07:09:52 PM
If I remember correctly, scientists actually studied this effect. It's quite common.

They were able to disprove it by just simply putting an object on top of a cabinet outside of view from the ground. No one was able to describe the object post surgery.
759  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump wants to end birthright citizenship on: November 01, 2018, 05:42:27 PM

I guess we gotta send Trump back to where he came from... oh wait, he's a 'white' immigrant, which makes him okay.
760  Economy / Reputation / Re: Double posts - multiple accounts on: October 31, 2018, 08:41:07 PM
More baseless allegations from a left wing extremist?

Get a life, dude.

Aren't there people who like to analyze merit data? Why wouldn't they want to play with some post history between two users instead?

I don't really enjoy that shit, and if someone here tags two legendaries for a bunch of double posting, that has to warrant as least a temp ban.

Think of all that precious merit that could be destroyed  Cheesy

--

As for being a 'left wing extremist', at least I'm not blowing people up like right wing extremists xD

--

I mean, we're both on a bitcoin related forum that's sole purpose seems to advertise shit coins, gambling sites, and other shit, but keep talking about my life dude.

You want me to remove fucking posts because you think they are the same person....  Prove it or fuck off

Learn to debate like an adult or keep whining like a bitch I don't care but the posts aren't going anywhere until accepted proof of the accounts being connected is presented.

Don't fucking mention IP address like a simpleton.

I'd rather the accounts be banned tbh, which isn't even your job.

I'm just saying there's a dubious connection between those two users; almost as if they're controlled by the same entity. I've seen some pretty /r/dataisbeautiful shit from this forum. In reality, it's all about awareness.

--

As for something as "simple" as IP... where to begin.

If I had control of the server, I'm making connection with the node, so probably making some sort of ToS that says 'hey, you touch me, ima scan you, to keep me safe', so from there, I find as many unique fingerprints from the scan, per unique IP.

Browsers dump a fuckton of data. Cough
