Thank you for pointing these out, tipped some  you have to persuade them to correct the name or it will confusing the new comers of China. Please paste here the optimal term you would use and shortly explain why that the better one is if you can. Vanilla-coin: 香草-幣(traditional chinese)/帀(simplified chinese) vanilla is just a very basic word that so easy to translate,none of the ppl on the earth that could read/write/speak both English and Chinese will translate vanilla to 韦恩(Wayne). if you don`t beleive what i said,just write vanilla down on a paper and ask a random person who can read both languages in your real life,that is the fastest way to know which is right or wrong. You can't atm, but it's planned. - location/folder where files are stored on my phone (is it just wallet.dat or any other files)? if you have root access: /data/data/net.vanillacoin.vanillacoin/ auto-timestamped wallet backup is done during file creation, you can find it in the /sdcard/ folder. - how do I copy/paste address if I want to sent from my PC to my phone wallet? From the QRCode, you can use http://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx to decode a screenshot of the mobile wallet's QRCode More features to like Address Sharing are ready to merge from the dev branch. - can I add more addresses or just 1 (default) possible? Does VNL guarantee the anonymity of the sender?
VNL HASN'T RELEASED DARK++ YET. besides that's not the point of this project. The point of vnl is secure instant decentralized transfers. Ok, thank you. So the purpose of VNL is currently to reach instant transactions. The purpose is to build the perfect decentralized crypto-currency, instant transactions are already live on the main net and can be used by anyone (even though ZeroTime is currently labeled as BETA). Future updates will make the wallet default to zero confirmation transactions (ZeroTime). The communication protocol used is already way more advanced than the old Satoshi protocol (which Bitcoin and most, if not all derivatives use). We have several innovative features already live. The client and the code base is cross-compatible, thus we have perfect staking mobile wallets with the native code (no 3rd parties involved) and extremely low battery use while doing so. We were also the first digital currency next to Bitcoin for which Poloniex allowed 1 confirmation deposits (the wallet default currently, without the use of ZeroTime) after a code audit. All communications pathways are encrypted using strong algorithms. Because of this not even your ISP can decipher the contents of your communications. TCP uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) and UDP uses ECDHE ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elliptic_curve_Diffie%E2%80%93Hellman) + HC-256 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HC-256) encryption. The blockchain and transactions can be viewed by anyone, so no "anon" features currently like what some other projects use. There will be more advanced anon/privacy features with DarkPP in Q3/Q4. I will check on this getting translated. Feedback from China is that basically they can't read/use the English wallet very well. Seeing some attempts at "guides" springing up. Problem is I don't know of a solid translator. I'm in for a bounty for a trusted chinese member of the VNL community, duno what the prices would be, but seeing as we were up for the doublespend bounty also doubt it would be an issue. If you could find one and ask for a price that would be great. |

Why would he make a FPGA for that algorithm? It would be a lot more profitable to do it for X11 and mine dash if he can get these FPGA to be efficient enough. I think i am smelling scam on this one.
Also I can't imagine custom built FPGA miners to be cheap enough for a decent enough ROI timeframe. If the guy could build custom FPGAs and mining software which would be profitable on XMR or whatever cryptonote fork is the most profitable he would have done it already and sold it for private investors. Vanillacoin has FPGA mining because the developer did it by himself (some community members took part in the dev process) to support the project. |
