why your team post again with same word ,i remember last time you post same .lol

742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 16, 2014, 08:45:16 PM

The one read flag I see is that 1% fee to spend Crypti. That sounds outrageously large.

Is there a plan for a maximum fee?

I sort of understand why you want to give the merchant 50% of the fee of spends at their store, to encourage merchants to accept Crypti. But, as a user I want to minimize my fees.

I think merchants should pay the fee if I spend in their store. That is a cost of doing business. Merchants understand this.

Thanks for your remark, we will discuss it.

Proof of Purchase (PoP) / Proof of Time (PoT) / Proof of Identity (PoI) Forging

No documentation on whatever that is?

nevermind, didn't see whitepaper link.

This sounds very centralized.

Remarks and suggestions, especially in form of pull requests, are welcome.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 16, 2014, 03:14:20 PM
If you are not going to make the source public at launch then you might want to acquire a third party audit of the code from respected members of the community.

Thanks for the suggestions, we have in plans bringing in a prominent member of the community. That said, the code will be released on quarterly milestones, to give Crypti advantage against clones.

Crypti is finally open-source!

Simcoin Exchange Announcement

Great news, like the To The Moon pic (good memories Smiley ).
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 16, 2014, 12:58:37 AM
@all - sorry for delay, waiting for project lead and crypti username holder to wake up and post the finalized ANN (timezones are bitch in this account...).
749  Other / Off-topic / Recommended electronic stores in HK? on: June 15, 2014, 08:05:08 PM
I will attend Inside BTC at HK next week, and will have some free time afterwards.
Knowing that HK is the pretty much center of the world in electronics, I'd like to buy quite some stuff.

Can anyone recommend some places that locals go to (and NOT the tourist traps)?

If they accept BTC the better, though not a must have.

Will much appreciate any lead!

How to get XBTC
An automatic vending machine for XBTC has been created. To get XBTC, simply send BTC in Counterwallet to:

1XBTCxh9HdyQ4y5VMnTzPANZoZZvrMSA6
After 3 confirmations, XBTC will be sent back automatically.

Just to clarify, who has access to this BTC address, and how we can be sure that it won't be suddenly emptied?
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 15, 2014, 10:49:40 AM

We are going to publish the ANN later today with beta/IPO date and details, pushing also to have the 1st version of the white-paper ready.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SIM] Simcoin - A Simple Coin on: June 15, 2014, 10:43:02 AM
Then I received a strange PM:
...
thinking he is buying simcoins for real at 0.00000021 when the IPO was closed at 0.00000036 Cheesy
In a rush, he deposited 4 times, buying more and more monopoly simcoins...

This story got me in stitches. But hey, who can resist some cheap simcoinz! Grin
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: June 14, 2014, 05:17:17 AM
You've got 10'000 less chances to find a block with 30K coins compared to someone with 300M coins.

Think of it like a minig equipment. Currently you've got a miner that costs $9.

I recall the new POS algo should had offset this situation a bit, to make the forging less similar to NXT, where mostly whales benefit(ed)?

I have the yellow wave symbol (rather the green check-mark), what does it mean?
Some tool-tips would be nice.

Версия 0.6 доступна для скачивания, если тестинг пройдет хорошо - скоро запуск.
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Exchange] ALCUREX - Registered - USD Markets - Open for trading on: June 14, 2014, 05:10:28 AM
Need to ask about EXOcoin, how to integrate wallet in exchange.

I already suggested Qora, also take a look at Cha (automated casino on top of blockchain) - both are innovative in their own ways.
Additionally, Simcoin (1 second confirmations) is going to launch exchange soon.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 13, 2014, 04:22:17 PM
Dude you're confused...its POS

Anyhow this sounds very promising, I want to join others here and say that the key for crypti success in MHO is the credibility of you dev's, please share your background and carry on with your prompt responses on the thread, you're doing a great job!

We are considering doing so in the upcoming Ann, currently gathering all the involved devs approvals.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: June 13, 2014, 03:18:03 PM
We need to have project pages, describing the Skycoin related projects and giving and overview, maybe a video and then linking back to the project pages (github, discussion boards, trellos...). The number of things going on is increasing and coordination is becoming a bottleneck. Aether should improve this a bit and allow us to get project pages up.

Give a look at RedBooth for project management, it allows coordination between teams and discussions plus documents storage and review, in a very easy to use flow.
For real time collaboration, check out Slack.

Never a dull moment in the crypto land Smiley.

Very good post about why a dedicated and qualified committee is important for any crypto success, based on NXT example:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=528023.msg7245897#msg7245897

Can you give concrete examples of how exactly committees led to NXT success? Because I don't remember any.

While I was not as deeply involved as you and other members here, I did lurk in the thread for several weeks trying to learn more about the technology and opportunity.
I was quite impressed by the devotion of group that has emerged around NXT, and the fact that the group managed to take decisions and act on them quickly. This was a big differentiation compared to other generic copy coins back then.

Some examples on top of my head where NXT committee were instrumental:
* Setting up a proper voting process (I recall how many pages were spent on that, but since then the voting seems to work as planned)
* Hiring additional developers to work on NXT wallets and extensions (resulting in one of best looking web wallets out there)
* Launching the first multi-pool
* Establishing a brand - professional video clip (better then BTC on my opinion), media print-outs, etc...

I recall how each of these ideas was voted, then assigned to one of committee members, which was responsible for the delivery of the said idea. The impressive part was how quickly and efficiently these ideas were executed.
