@Atrides,
A couple of odd elements I just noticed trying out the platform:
 - there's no edit/cancel feature yet for one's existing offers.
 - the % relative to MoneroIndex is always positive, ignoring if the offer is a sell or a buy.

I created a couple of test entries, but I want to edit them, not interested in going broke just yet  Wink
All in all, great initiative. It's all baby steps forward as they say.

That can always be changed in the code to reduce the % or make a finite number of coins.
no that is a bullshit way to run a coin. once those flood gates are open, the project dies.

On this precise topic, we've exchanged some ideas already earlier, most or all of which, would preserve the stake %.
I posted concerning this (along with another feature request) here:

I know you're having an important topic now to discuss, but this is supposed to be an addition to the coin

XCN Faucet is NOW Online!!

www.XCNFaucet.com

Nice and simple. I tested it and seems to work fine, limited at 1 use per hour.
I'd be cheeky to say that it's not paying much (0.0000001), but I know you'll just tell me to donate some  Grin

What differentiates XQN Quotient  from other alts - what are the key differentiators? Anybody smart enough to clarify that in an clear manner?

Short & Sweet, the roadmap section from the OP:
Roadmap
  • Short Term: QDEX - Standardized price indices published via web end and over coin network
  • Mid Term: QUINN - Quotient Intelligent Neural Network built on the Sapient AIFX Blockchain Singularity
  • Long Term: XQNFX - Algorithmic trading tools in-wallet backed by QUINN, with script editor and script trading

If you want to get a better understanding, there's a lot more to read on.
As CrazyLoaf suggested, you should certainly check out the sister project as well, Sapience/XAI.

My personal favorite in the pipeline for XQN, is the algorithmic trading feature (though that relies on Sapience development also).
Cheers!

Does anyone know how long does it take to transfer coins to Bittrex . It's been 10 minutes. Should I worry?

Now that a few hours have passed, sorted yet?  Grin

If anyone else cares: when you transfer coins over to an exchange, there's usually some additional delay, depending on the exchange, their confirmation settings, etc. If you're expecting coins to arrive on the exchange and they are taking too long, 1st check your wallet transactions and make sure that your transfer has fully confirmed, 2nd check the exchange's page for pending deposits if they have one.

Most of the times, you just need to wait it out. Sometimes, you need to contact the exchange support guys to "unstuck" their wallet or whatever else needs attention. Unless you sent coins to the wrong address, you're usually ok.

Good to see that there's some buy support building up at bittrex, though buyers and sellers seem to disagree a little too much over the "right price"  Grin I'm not parting with my XQN for cheap, that's for sure!

Nah just a useless ICO extent.

The main point into getting in an ICO is to have equal prices with every other investors in order to avoid the dumping at starting price.

Right now Main investors got 20% of the price, since they have it at nearly 16K sat. The others at 20K sat.

Now market price will be dumped at the very early phase in order to make this easy 20% profit. Which will cause some panic and you might see the price fall even lower then 16k sat.

20% is a ridiculous amount thats all.

Early investors currently add up to about 80% of the total ICO funds. Why the hell would a bunch of investors dump 80% of the raised XAI capital for a measly 20% gain? The opportunity that most investors are seeing here, are in multiples of valuation (2x, 5x, ...), or the continued revenue stream by means of AI service fees.

The reality is that the late investor group, though only representing 20% of the funds, are just likely to hold on to their XAI even tighter, as buying late and not enjoying the early bonus, only proves they are committed to the project and/or believe it will value greatly, certainly well above 20%...

If I am mining with a given hashrate (let's say 1 kh), will I likely mine more XMR when the network hashrate is lower (~12Mh) versus higher (~20Mh as it is currently)?
I know that the difficulty retargets every block, which is every minute, but I am not certain about this comparison that I am asking about.

Thanks in advance for knowledgeable replies.

The difficulty re-targeting does not have a direct impact to your first question, or rather, not an obvious one.

I'll try to address the 1st question (if that is a question) about mining rewards with variations in difficulty:

If nethash is ~12Mh, and you have ~1Kh, you are 1/12000 of the nethash.
You will find, on average, 1/12000 of the blocks, or in other words, 1 block every ~8.33 days.

If nethash is ~20Mh, and you have ~1Kh, you are 1/20000 of the nethash.
You will find, on average, 1/20000 of the blocks, or in other words, 1 block every ~13.88 days.

Happy Mining!
Edit: I see smooth just beat me to it. Keeping the post anyhow as the examples might be helpful.

Hi, Chris,

Do you think it's possible to port wolf's cryptonight cpu-miner (https://github.com/wolf9466/cpuminer-multi) to run on Xeon Phi (offload mode)?

If you haven't already, why not join IRC, #ccminer @ freenode, and check if Wolf0 would be willing to do it? It'll probably cost you, but maybe it is worth it? I'd love to see someone figuring out a way to really bump cryptonight mining performance. On a similar note, it would be awesome if SP_ would eventually pickup the cryptonight ccminer and optimize the damn thing  Grin

Happy Mining!

I do not see the coin control in the option in the wallet.  Can you explain what you mean by doing it manually?

Wallet QT > Settings > Options > Display > "Display Coin Control Features"

Once you enable this setting, you'll make the input controls available. To manually split a block, you select it, and send a fraction of it's value to yourself. For example:
 - select a 1K block as input
 - make transaction value 500
 - enable the "custom change address"
 - enter your usual addy as both the payment recipient as well as the custom change address

This transaction will take your 1K input, and send one chunk (aka, block) of 500 coins to your address as payment, and in addition, will send another chunk (aka, block) of 500 coins to your address as "change". So, you started with 1x 1000, you end up with 2x 500. Voila, manual coin control.

Happy Staking!

It's only natural that distribution is not optimal yet, especially as we've only seen minor volume on the exchanges so far. Those on the top spots didn't get their coins for free anyhow, so they are interested parties in seeing XQN doing well. The ongoing dumping - as much as it pains me to see valuation dropping - is actually quite healthy as it favors better distribution. More people are getting their hands on XQN, and (in my view), they are getting it cheap.  Grin

On other news: I just made it to the top 50  Cool

Seems you just woke up and started to post, read earlier posts me and couple of others want a refund, however, haven't heard back on that....

No. Do you mean that this one post of yours is in fact a request for a refund?
I am with you!

All that you've done otherwise, is complain that you don't like the new terms, characterize this or that action as greedy, or request for yet another change of terms by dropping the extension now. I would expect that people would at least remember that the *ideal funding target* was initially set at 450 BTC. Get some perspective.

The dev has generally been around during US daytime, so it's likely that you'll hear from him soon.
Personally, I don't expect him to be awake 24/7.

EDIT: J9901, it's been a while, but it was about time I increased my ignore list. Sorry but I will not be responding to any of your posts.

@senseless-ranters:
If you were an early investor, you got your initial XAI allocation bumped by 20%, to partly counteract the dilution that will occur if additional funding is received, and to compensate you for bearing with the additional extension. If you're not happy with the updated terms, use the crowd fund contacts to see if you can reach some sort of refund agreement.
What's all the fuss about?
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: $XAI Sapience AIFX - Decentralized AI | EXT. LAST TIME 1 WEEK TIL 12/10 @ 23:59 on: December 04, 2014, 02:56:21 PM
Gunther,

Let's keep the tone appropriate if possible.
If it's OK with you to state how much BTC you have invested, I will consider taking your crowd fund position.
This is not an offer yet, as I would need to check:
 - If I have or can make available the necessary BTC.
 - If the dev would provide the escrow to this effect (would need to shift XAI allocations).
 - If the resulting position on the crowd fund still enjoys the early bird bonus.

I'm certain that others might be interested as well, assuming you just want an honest exit.

While naysayers are clearly around, it's also common that these are just the most vocal ones. There are plenty of people that are happy with the updated terms, even if there is some individual penalty to them (such is my situation for example).

It's understandable that for a quick & easy profit, some people just wanted the ICO to reach the minimum amount and close there. They would then hold the highest percentage of XAI. Others are more committed to the fundamentals of this project in the long run, and would be happier if more funds are collected, thus ensuring a larger number of stake holders, larger community, better chances of success.

Both positions are perfectly understandable and valid, as long as people present their case with a bit of common sense.
Cheers.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: $XAI Sapience AIFX - Decentralized AI | EXT. LAST TIME 1 WEEK TIL 12/10 @ 23:59 on: December 04, 2014, 09:47:47 AM
Wow. Things got a bit noisy towards over the last 24 hours...  Roll Eyes

@ Cedric: I'm sure it was a tough call to extend the crowd fund yet again, and I do hope that people will get over it and understand that there is simply a better shot at success by raising some more BTC. I was the 3rd to invest, so I'm one of those that have had BTC 'held' here for the longest. I'm fine with the updated terms, which bumped the early investor rewards by a bit, and thus is compensating for some of the dilution that will occur by having more participants.

@ All: Be mindful of the FUD and outright deception that goes on around these forums. This is an honest dev. Otherwise, with future investors locked in, he could have simply bought XAI using his own BTC, and later assign those coins privately however agreed. Some of the most successful IPOs in recent history, are aggressive plays of moving BTC from right hand to left hand. This is not it.

That said, all the FUD that just surfaced, is a clear sign of success...
We must be headed in the right direction!  Wink
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: $XAI Sapience AIFX - Decentralized AI | Brain on Blockchain! *1 DAY LEFT* on: December 03, 2014, 04:37:04 PM
is there already a solution for the distribution of XAI to XQN holders? Smiley

Maybe it's just me, but I don't know if that idea was definitive. In any case, XQN holders are the 1st to benefit from XAI, since the 1st application case will be for algorithmic trading, feature that will be 1st implemented in the XQN wallet (though naturally having some sort of dependency to the AIFX network).
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HYP] HyperStake | 750% PoS | Most Advanced Coin Control Wallet | 6 Themes on: December 03, 2014, 04:03:53 PM
Can anyone tell me how to make a dedicated address and a hyper loan wallet??

Let's see if this is what you're looking for. I'm assuming you're already setup with a HYP wallet and sync'ed. Further I'm assuming you already hold some coins, so your doubt is really on how to great a new/dedicated addy for a hyperloan.

- On the HYP wallet, select the 'receive' tab, and hit 'new address'. Give it a friendly name, perhaps hyperloan for example, if that's what you'll be using it for.
- Then copy the address you just created, and head over to the faucet: http://hyp-faucet.tk/ Fill in the captcha & use your newly created address, to get a minimal amount of funds into it.

You should be getting the HYP from the faucet into your wallet shortly after. This process will both create a history for that address on the HYP network, and confirm that you did everything right. Hope this helps, happy staking!  Wink
