Big Vern has made over $30k by adding a poll page! I hope more than 1 coin can be added. He says the $ will go towards the development of implementing them. With that cash he could hire 60 developers for the day to add every one of these coins to the site! Lol
On another note coinfloor (the new exchange in the UK) replied to my plea to add UTC:

Does anyone know when the first vote ends (when they pick the first coin)?
I don't think the voting "ends" as such. More like it shows Cryptsy and to the public which is most popular and is most likely added next. So as long as we stay within the top 2, I reckon we will get added next to no time. I've casted my vote!! True! It doesn't actually say you are voting for the next coin to be added! It says they want to know how popular coins are that are not on Cryptsy! Very clever of them!!! |

Didn't someone say they would pay quite a few bitcoins the other day when we was in free fall, as they had over 100k of coins and wanted to protect their investment? I can't look properly to see who it was because I'm using my iphone at work lol

All Mazacoin holders have made huge profits so have plenty of spare to spend on votes. Also every member on Cryptsy gets to vote so many people will only know about Mazacoin as it's been in all the crypto news this week so they will vote for that :-(
It would be so good for UTC to win the first vote though! All the publicity and everyone will know who won and talk about it. Winning the 6th vote won't get any attention so wouldn't have the same impact IMO. Would be great to look back in 2 years & say we won the first vote!

my mom and i wanted to invest 8 btc in altcoins 2 days ago. we narrowed down our choices to utc and mazacoin. we thought about going half and half then utc started going up and we bought with the whole 8 btc in ultracoin. it went down more than half and mazacoin went up from 0.00000600 to 0.00019000. i hate you bumface you lost me 250 btc.   i dont hate you but i hate my self. i want to die i lost 250 btc that i could have had. on top of that utc went down half and i lost 4 btc. i hate my self. i feel like crap now. i will hold this utc and hope it goes on cryptsy so i can break even or make some profit. hi, Its unfortunate you missed some gain, i have been there  , but Missed profits is not the same as loosing money. UTC is a medium hold, if your investment did not go x10 in 1 day, this is normal, relax. There is a differentce between gambling and investing.when warren buffet buys something he is thinking what can i do with this in 5 years.... When a coin goes down , it is not dead for ever....If you dont want to make a loss, then dont sell.I did see the mazacoin rise, that would have been nice, but we cant look into the future.if we could we would all have bought bitcoin when it was 3 cent..... i wish i didnt convince my mom to change her mind about going half utc half mazacoin. its my fault. i cant forgive my self. i have been thinking about this all day. i even cried when i saw a 75 btc buy order at 0.00016 and 10 btc order above him and some 5 btc orders too on mintpal and 30 btc in buy orders above 0.00014 more on cryptorush i could have had all that btc for me and my mom. how can i forgive my self i cant. we spent hours deciding which coins to buy. if only i had listened to her and bought half utc and half mazacoin. Boo hoo. Shoulda woulda coulda. We all have our own stories. Suck it in. U haven't lost as much as many on here. Some of us bought 20btc at 0.0005 but we aren't moaning. You wanted to gamble on a lesser known coin rather than sticking with bitcoins so you can't complain. |

I created a ticket on BTC-e yesterday, asking them if they plan to add Ultracoin. This is their response: Good day, yet do not plan to add. 1. Great English 2. They didn't just say no, like they do with almost every other coin I know of? Should this say "good day, we dont plan to add"? If so that's not great news :-( Would it help if we all emailed them asking for it to be added? its a long shot i know as they only have a few coins listed, worth a try!? |

Another OT post - anyone else trading aurora? Last night I thought the price would drop overnight and it ended up doubling. Wondering what to do tonight. It wouldn't surprise me to see it a .25 btc (or higher) - although it could as easily drop down to .025.
Yep, already tripled 2.5x the investment Me too! Like I said I tried to add buy support for utc, but re-thinking that strategy. I think we r in this limbo with the price until crypto-trade is back up. Then hopefully the buy support will be restored and we will go back up to at least 0.0004 |

*On the stuff with a market. I'm not sure what Doge has done; but payment processing is the hardest part of a retail store utilizing any crypto. Any store that uses BTC goes via coinbase, not an exchange. We may first need a licensed payment processor.
On this one, I'm trying to think it through. There may be a way to achieve payments without being a payment processor, and instead serving as an escrow agent, especially if the store is more of a "middleman". I'd be curious to hear what others think. If instituted this way, then price is determined at time of sale. I need to really think about it and draw something up. A lot depends on the kind of store - to be a retail store like dogestore, you would have to interact with suppliers. But if it were more of a "user sells his stuff" store, performing escrow might work well, as no fiat would ever have to be exchanged. Coinpayments.net create a checkout system that's easily intergratable. In the last round of votes to get added we only got 2. But next month we should all vote everyday so they create a ultracoin checkout system |

On it. Been getting the tweets out today. Will be getting a bunch more in by the end of the day. May I ask what exactly do facebook follows and likes do? How exactly does that give exposure? What DCGirl said but also . . When someone 'likes' or follows a facebook page it appears on their friends facebook wall, telling them their friend has 'liked' or added Ultracoin as their friend therefore giving Ultracoin more exposure. So for every 'like' in theory ALL their friends see the like. If that person has 300 friends then potentially that's 300 people been made aware of Ultracoin. |

A bit of good news . . I have had a brief twitter chat with the creator of Battlecoin which is listed on Cryptsy.
He has told me he never gave any money to Big Vern to get listed on Cryptsy, and managed to get listed after the Battlecoin community bombarded him with messages for 4 months.

Is this just another 'someone else do this, but i don't want to' suggestion or are you volunteering to do a press release to send out to the media to help the community? Can you or anyone else write an interesting article on scrypt-jane combined with fast transaction speeds? I don't class myself as a very good "journalist" / "reporter" type? should we try tweeting coins-e? Big Vern hasnt responded to any tweets ive sent or to any tweets. Does he charge to get listed? Seems odd that other coin are been listed? Bumface said last week he had been in contact with him I think. Was the discussion a good one? Did Big Vern give us a target or list of things to hit/achieve? I just don't want to be wasting my time trying cryptsy if he has told us we have no chance in the near future. Any info would be valuable to us viral marketers.

Unless u pay some for UTC or BTC for him then we can get to Cryptsy, twitt or face could'n get utc to this site. And with this low price, i don't think we have any chance. We would already be in the top 10 for volume on Cryptsy most days. They aren't adding us for other reasons apparently. Where did u hear this? If there was no change of been listed in Cryptsy bumface would have told us. I have been bombarding him with tweets all day. Surely we haven't been wasting our time. Where did u hear this or is it just FUD? |
